I cannot recommend Rebecca Shepard highly enough for floral arrangements for any special event. She is incredibly professional, creative, and highly organized. My initial meeting with her resulted in an online ‘book’ of ideas for flowers that I was able to look through and then discuss with her, whittling down the ideas to my eventual floral plan for my wedding. She has an eye for beautiful arrangements, and can be as traditional or as creatively modern as you want. She also has amazing props (birdcages, suitcases, etc.) that can add some character to your event. But, most importantly, she listens to everything you tell her, and makes copious notes. For me, her attention to detail resulted in a lovely surprise at my bridal shower, where my late-grandmother’s favorite flower (a gardenia) was highlighted in a touching arrangement, thanks to a behind-the-scenes conversation between her and my maid-of-honor. And, sitting next to me at my seat at the reception was a beautiful, single gardenia – a touching surprise from Rebecca, letting my grandmother be there in spirit for my wedding day. Thank you Rebecca, for making my wedding beautiful, and for being such a thoughtful person – your touching gift to me was unforgettable.

Rebecca is a true artist, incredibly professional, and a wonderful lady. She deserves ten stars.
She and her team (thank you Vincent!) transformed the venue where we got married, Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, into a dreamy, elegant, magical space. I knew the decor would be stunning based on her portfolio, but the tablescapes she created were even more breathtaking than I had anticipated. Everybody raved about her floral decorations. My bouquet was also lovely.

Unlike any of the other florists with whom I communicated to get quotes, Rebecca invited us to meet in person at her studio in South Slope to talk about possibilities. I did not have a color scheme for the wedding, only vague ideas about colors for the flowers and a wish for the space to be elegant and whimsical, and had a slightly conflicted idea of what I wanted -- romantic and vintage, or modern? To make things a little trickier, my fiance wasn't even sure that we should hire a floral designer, because of our budget. Rebecca read some of my hesitations and ambivalence very accurately during our chat, was incredibly patient, and at the end the design crystallized beautifully thanks to her suggestions. Our 8-footers and 12-footers were decorated with a very chic mix of small vessels with high and low floral arrangements, and mercury glass votives.

Rebecca worked fully within our (relatively "low", for NYC weddings) budget, and actually gave me the best quote by far out of three floral designers I contacted. After the first meeting we communicated via email, Google docs, phone, and even text message. She had a huge wedding coming up just two days before ours, but despite that was very responsive about all our queries. I really appreciated how helpful she was with many of our anxious questions and requests. Her designs were a highlight of our wedding -- and for the record, my husband is absolutely thrilled we hired Rebecca in the end. Wholeheartedly recommended!

SO CREATIVE, SKILLED, AND FUN! We loved working with Rebecca and have recommended her to our friends. We gave her free reign and trusted her to make magic--- and she did :) She also has lots of fun containers, vintage items, etc that she lends out for the big day which was great!

Let me start by saying that I worked with some amazing, phenomenal vendors when planning our October wedding - but Rebecca was by far my highlight. Having very little floral knowledge, my husband and I really weren't sure what we were looking for. We had a "vibe" and a color scheme. Then came Rebecca. From the moment we met her, we just knew she was the one to bring our personality to life through the arrangements at our wedding. I felt like she actually "got" what we were looking for, was able to easily show us examples that fit our style and was very flexible with our budget.

Working with her during the planning process was fantastic. She was responsive, professional and just such a joy to work with. We communicated using shared google documents, photo albums etc., to share inspiration, color samples and styles. All of her hard work and attention to detail was very clear on the day of our wedding. The arrangements were stunning, right down to the tiny details like the burlap and twine wrap. We got so many compliments and I would recommend her to anyone looking for floral design, regardless of the occasion.

I had an incredible experience working with Rebecca on flowers for my wedding. She exceeded my expectations in every way I could think of. Any bride that chooses to work with Rebecca will have the flowers of her dreams.

First, Rebecca was professional, organized and my most punctual vendor. I want to emphasize these qualities because even when a vendor is very talented, they are often lacking in some of these qualities, which are essential when planning a wedding that requires so much coordination. I met Rebecca in her shop/office, which is set up to truly service clients. After seeing her vast portfolio, I knew that she was the florist I wanted. Additionally, during my months of planning, I never had to wait more than a few hours for a response to a question or request.

Secondly, Rebecca is unbelievably talented. I was extremely indecisive with the flowers and arrangements that I wanted. Rebecca was able to take the ideas I had and create magical centerpieces that were more than I could have ever wished for. Weeks before my wedding, I still could not decide on how I wanted my bridesmaids' and my own bouquets to look. Rebecca took the time out of her morning to meet me at the flower market, showing me her ideas for flowers in person, which finally gave me the confidence and certainty I needed. This really shows how much Rebecca cares about making every client happy. When I walked into the reception room on the day of my wedding, I was blown away with how beautiful the centerpieces looked. My guests are still talking about my flowers.

I would recommend Rebecca to every bride looking for an incredibly talented florist, fresh and unique arrangements and organization/professionalism. It was such a pleasure to with Rebecca - Thank You!

I wish I could leave 10 stars (not just 5) for Rebecca. She was absolutely the highlight of my wedding -- honestly I think her flowers looked better than I did! Rebecca outdid even our highest expectations. She is very sincerely a floral genius -- she has a magical sense for texture and color that literally makes you want to gush. I was especially blown away by how Rebecca used her intuition to deal with two tricky situations:

1) I had no idea how to describe what I wanted. I don't think I really knew what I wanted, but I pointed to flowers that I liked and to ones that I didn't, and somehow Rebecca just got it. She compiled an extremely helpful online photo album, and we commented back and forth to get the colors, types of flowers, and composition just right.

2) My mom and I couldn't quite agree on the colors. Mom insisted on purple and orange together, and I was worried it would clash. Rebecca listened carefully to what each of us was looking for, and both my mom and I were blown away with the final result. She perfectly nailed it -- we had rich, lush oranges and purples that created a warm vibe, and it definitely did not clash. In fact, I was completely obsessed with my bouquet....it was so ME, even though Rebecca had only met me once or twice before! All of the flowers were so rich with both bold colors and soft yet crisp textures. 3 months later, I am still jealous of whoever got to take it home.

The floral displays, the corsages, the girls' bouquets, the men's flowers -- it was all just exquisite. So beautifully done. Lovely little details like ribbon around the bouquets, held by pins; the tulip leaves hiding the "mechanics" of the gorgeous square-vased table decorations; she even made a gorgeous "tree" decor made from whimsical branches and orchids, which she attached individually by hand. Rebecca is honestly a flower genius, and her flowers were the most important part of the whole celebration. I could just gush forever.

Rebecca is absolutely amazing, 5/5 stars seems unfair, I wish I could giver her more!! She is an absolute pleasure to work with- organized, creative, super responsive, unique, elegant, and on and on. Our flowers were exceptional- I feel like everyone thinks their flowers are the "perfect" flowers but ours really were just that- perfect. I loved absolutely everything about them and we are stil receiving compliments on how beautiful everything was. I should also point out that I am an engineer so describing floral arrangements is not my strong suit! Rebecca was SO accommodating and helpful while I fumbled around with books and embarrassingly asked "what is a succulent!" As someone who needed some hand holding through the process and who was unclear on what I wanted, Rebecca was able to navigate trough my likes and nailed it! She even incorporated aspects of both my husband's career and my own into the floral arrangements. On top of being an insanely talented florist, she is also an extremely talented jewelry maker! She made my jewelry as well as beck laces for my mom, grandmother, mother in law, sister in law and all of my bridesmaids and, much like her flowers, her jewelry is exceptional. Book your flowers and jewelry with Rebecca, it will be the best decision you make during your wedding planning.

If you are looking for something unique and extremely beautiful, Rebecca is the one to see. She was so easy to work with and very talented. We knew that she would do an amazing job for us based on her portfolio, and we were right. Everything was gorgeous, and Rebecca's prices were very reasonable.

Rebecca did an amazing job putting together flowers that coordinated with my color palette and wedding vibe. She instantly picked up on what I liked and didn't like. I was so surprised and excited to see how lovely my bouquets and bouts turned out on my wedding day. I would highly recommend her!

Both my wife and I are designers, and therefore, had very high expectations for the floral arrangements at our wedding. When we stumbled upon Rebecca's portfolio, we were immediately impressed by the honest artistic sensibilities on display. Rebecca has the talent and passion to allow the natural beauty and elegance of her flowers to shine through, seemingly adhering to the ideology that truly well crafted design lies not in what you add, but what you do not.
From our initial meeting, we knew that we wanted to allow Rebecca as much creative freedom as an artist as she was comfortable taking. We gave our two cents, which in all honesty was more confusing than helpful, and trusted Rebecca to create arrangements that she not only thought we would love, but that she would be proud of as well. We simply told her that we wanted her to have some fun and to be excited, because as creatives we understand that such an attitude always yields a better product. Much to her credit, the final result was far beyond our expectations, as she created a whimsical narrative in our venue, upon which we received endless comments and compliments throughout the evening. The flowers were gorgeous, and the her demeanor was a breathe of fresh air hours before our wedding when tensions were at their highest. She took her time setting things up and paid close attention to even the most minute details, while still sharing a few good laughs with us and the rest of our vendors. Even more incredible to us, is that we were her second wedding of the day, yet we felt as though she had been her only client for months.
The bottom line is that Rebecca is a true artist and designer. If you are looking for a true professional brimming with talent, creativity, and personality, then do yourself a favor and speak with Rebecca.

Rebecca did a fantastic job at our wedding. The whole process was professional, efficient, accommodating, and friendly. From the moment we met with her at her workshop, we could see she had the style and eye for detail that we were looking for in our wedding florals and decor.

Rebecca was perhaps the most impressive vendor we worked with in terms of communication and organization. Working through Google Docs she always had a clear presentation of options, costs, and logistics. Her responses to our questions were prompt, thorough, and thoughtful.

The actual florals and decor fit perfectly into our vision and also the feel of our historic venue. Understated yet beautiful, it was the perfect complement to everything else. We had a few unique requests and she rose to the task and executed wonderfully. Finally, the value and pricing were by far the most reasonable and flexible we encountered in our search for floral vendors.

Rebecca rocked the floral and decor for my wedding... I was beyond pleased -- ecstatic really! During the hours leading up to the ceremony, I was lucky enough to have some leisure time to take in the space and appreciate the set up and decor. When I first saw the card table with the most beautiful, it took my breath away! My mother and I spent most of the dinner talking about how gorgeous the center pieces were! Rebecca was able to interpret from my very nebulous descriptions of what I wanted (I don't speak flowers well) and hit the nail on the head! I have to give Rebecca major props for her flexibility (I wasn't quite sure what I wanted and after a venue change, the entire look of the wedding did as well) and her patience with me! I could not have been happier with Rebecca's beautiful creations!

Rebecca did an amazing job as our florist for our wedding. Overall she was extremely affordable, flexible, imaginative, and she created table arrangements that people loved. Rebecca made a beautiful chuppah that she provided at an amazing price. She actually said that she quoted a price that ended up being below the total cost of the chuppah, but that she would stick to the price she had quoted initially. I thought this action was extremely nice and professional of her.
We planned our New York City wedding while we were both living in San Diego California, so email and internet communication were key to our planning efforts. Rebecca made a Google Web Album so that she and I could easily share photos of ideas for colors, flowers and table arrangements. She also was extremely responsive via email and phone throughout our whole mutli-month planning process.
The end result was beautiful flower arrangements for myself, the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception. She also provided wonderful antique books for our reception tables which, and an assortment of interesting vases for many of the arrangements. We could not have been more pleased with our choice of florist.

It's not just that I have the highest compliments on all areas across the board.... There is not a negative thing to say.

Rebecca is overwhelmingly creative and talented.... I am still floored by how beautiful and cool our wedding arrangements and personals were. For our winter wedding, she made an awesome branch arrangement with orchids and crystals to hang our seating cards, turned our ceremony site into a different place with tons of petals and created the coolest and most unique table centerpieces: different sizes and shapes of containers holding different flowers on wooden rises.

Amazingly, she is also as lovely to work with as she is expert at her work; she stayed true to our vision and at the same time, offered exciting ideas. Rebecca worked within our budget, sent updates and pictures and modified a very detailed proposal on a regular basis, and throughout the wedding planning process, made floral decisions really fun. She was always available, helpful, patient, dedicated and professional.

She will not only allow you total confidence in your wedding decor, but also has a way of turning flowers into your favorite part of planning.

I wish I could give Rebecca six stars out of five. She was AMAZING.

She understood exactly the look we wanted -- black and white flowers with touches of green in a modern, sleek styling -- and she completely nailed it 100%, even better than I imagined it. She was incredibly responsive, always getting back to me in the same day, sometimes within a few minutes. She showed us tons of photos of what she was planning and talked us through everything. And on the day of the wedding she was there even before I was! She spent hours setting up and making everything look perfect, and it absolutely was.

Everyone raved about the flowers! She did my bouquet, floral headbands for my bridesmaids, corsages for the moms and grandmas, two huge branchy displays for the ceremony site, flowers for the bar, and this INCREDIBLY AMAZING giant arrangement for the urn at the front of the venue. It was mind-blowing. And it was honestly really affordable for all of that stuff; she doesn't inflate her prices crazily like big cookie-cutter florists.

I cannot recommend Rebecca highly enough. I saw photos of other weddings she's done and she would work just as well with a romantic bride, or a simple-sweet bride. I felt like she got my vision completely and tailored everything exactly to my tastes. Plus she's a sweetheart. :)
