Most thoughtful, calming photographer!
We absolutely lucked out when Rachel had our wedding date available, and looking back, I'd probably arrange my wedding date around her availability-she is THAT good! She is so kind, caring, and thoughtful with an incredibly calming presence! It feels like she's part of your family. From day one, Rachel makes you a priority, and as crazy as the day can get, she will calm you down, make sure you stay focused on what's important and what matters throughout the day, and she makes sure you and your partner capture as many intimate moments together as you can. Not to mention her photos are beyond stunning! My family members have all thought they are the best wedding photos they've ever seen. We couldn't be happier with the story she's told through our photos and the moments she captured for us! Thank you, Rachel! -

Sarah Sent on 06/25/2019Perfectly captured our wedding day and rehearsal dinner!
From the moment I first had contact with Rachel, I knew she would be perfect photographer for our Wedding. We had researched her work online and after seeing her Instagram and website pictures, we completely fell in love with her style of photography and ability to capture the beauty in a moment.
There were so many incredible and special moments that she managed to capture so perfectly, and so naturally, which is just what we were looking for.
Rachel photographed our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. We lost count of all the guests who commented on how amazing she was. Rachel was able to direct the group photos without being intrusive or overbearing and throughout the day blended in to the scene perfectly. She used every lighting opportunity she could find to capture a range of photos, and was constantly on the look out to use the scenery and grounds of the venue to the fullest. Rachel’s passion and enthusiasm shone all throughout and absolutely blew us away. I recommend her 100 times over! Thank you Rachel!

We had the best experience with Rachel. She not only captured incredible portrait and candid images from our ceremony and reception (beautiful light and airy photos that make everyone look good), but she also got the greatest shots from our welcome party and a day spent at the local farmers' market with our family and friends. She also spent time getting to know us as a couple, and the photos reflect that. Most importantly, Rachel is like a ninja of wedding photography! My biggest pet peeve at weddings, particularly ceremonies, is when the wedding photographer is blocking the view or otherwise distracting from the service. Rachel was exactly the opposite- you don't even see her, yet somehow she captures the most incredible moments on film. We could not be happier with Rachel's photos and have already recommended to her to several family and friends. -

User2483177 Sent on 12/28/2015Wow. Rachel is amazing. We cannot say enough good things about her photography or her personality and professionalism. We had Rachel do our engagement photographs as well as our wedding, and we can't think of a single thing we would have had her do differently! We can tell she takes great pride in her work, since she only accepts as much work as she can handle to do the amazing job she does every time. With our wedding, she captured some really amazing moments from angles and distances that simply made the result spectacular. She has an eye for what will turn out beautiful, and her post-processing of the photos gives them an elegant, heavenly feel. Rachel knows what she is doing on a wedding day too. She helped us plan out the timing of things like the first look, and thought of details that we wouldn't have thought of without her. During the portraits after the ceremony, we had a couple of flower girls who were ready for their nap, but Rachel was so good with them and did silly things to get them to look up and smile. We are 100% satisfied with Rachel. She is so professional, courteous, considerate, cooperative, and she works hard to listen to her customers and deliver exactly what they want, even if it is not what she is used to. Her flexibility and attention to detail is what makes Rachel stand out from the rest. We absolutely love her and would recommend her to any couple who wants the best photos from the most important day in their lives. -
User2223611 Sent on 07/13/2015From the moment I fatefully stumbled across her photos on the web, I was in love with Rachel Havel's work, her vision, and her spirit and knew I wanted her to be my wedding photographer. She was so professional and kind from the moment I contacted her and she is genuinely a wonderful person down to her core which is reflected in her interactions with everyone around her and her beautiful photos.
Rachel is a true professional and methodically and naturally gets to know her clients to assist her in photographing them. Our initial conversation was over Skype since we were in New York and she was in Colorado and it was like we were talking to an old friend! And up until our wedding day she had us complete a couple of questionnaires (that are fun to fill out!) I thought this was such a great detailed touch and got me so excited for our wedding day.
On the day of our wedding, she was so great getting our family and guests together to pose for photos and was so nice and natural with everyone. She gave me, a horribly non-photogenic person, great cues throughout her shooting to get me more comfortable and natural. Rachel also took so many beautiful photos of the details from our wedding that I wasn't able to notice with all the mayhem. Finally, she captured so many great moments from our family and guests - the looks on their faces and their emotions were so raw and natural and I am so grateful that she was there to photograph them!
Her photos were ready within 3 weeks after the wedding which was so incredibly fast. Her picture viewing site is also very convenient to browse through and well organized.
I am so so happy that she was our wedding photographer and thought she captured one of the most important days of my life perfectly! I'm so glad I get to have these photos forever. I've been looking through them over and over again for days ever since I got them from her! -

Robin Sent on 07/06/2010Rachel; what can you say about a simply amazing photographer, she was so creative and comfortable to work with at times I had to remind myself that she wasn’t part of the family. From the time I put on my dress, till I was walking out the door she was there snapping photos; not just ones of me and my husband (although we did allot of those as well) but of the family and environment too. She captured on film all the small details that were anguished over for months; moments I missed because I was busy being the bride, I get to relive through her photos. Simply put I couldn’t have asked for a more professional energetic creative person who loves what she does and it shines through in her work. I definitely see this being my go to girl for any portraits and future photo needs. Thank you Rachel for everything.
