I had the perfect Wedding at Memorial Hall
I cannot say enough amazing things about my wedding at Memorial Hall aka The Please Touch Museum and Brûlée Catering.
Every person I worked with was accommodating and compassionate. Terri is an absolute angel. Our bridal attendant was superb. Every single guest raved about the food! All the appetizers were unreal and the main dishes were to die for.
Planning the event went so smoothly and I felt so confident going into the wedding day that everything was going to be perfect and it absolutely was perfect. And I know I had the most unique and beautiful reception venue. I mean the carousel sold me the minute I saw it and everyone was FLOORED by the beauty of Hamilton Hall. I cannot recommend Memorial Hall/ The Please Touch Museum enough. -

Amazing Wedding!
We had our wedding at the Please Touch Museum and it was amazing! The venue was absolutely stunning, so much fun with the carousel and our DJ up in the multi-colored torch, and the night ran very smoothly. Terri and her team were very responsive to our (many) questions and helped guide us through the process. Many of our friends and family said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I can't recommend PTM enough -

Amazing unexpected wedding venue
We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at the Please Touch Museum! Our guests are still talking about how great everything was. The entire process was easy and the venue was gorgeous. We were able to have a beautifully elegant wedding while still incorporating some fun elements. We would definitely recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique wedding. -

Perfect Night
I couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect place to get married. We got married in July, and five months later our friends are still raving about our wedding. The venue was spectacular. The carousel at the cocktail hour made for a memorable night. And the food was amazing! Everything from cocktail hour to desserts was delicious. Lynnelle was so great to work with. From the first meeting through the wedding itself, she was helpful and attentive and really brought our vision to life. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but working with Lynnelle and the team at Brulee was stress-free. -

The Perfect Wedding
Our wedding on 11/19/22 was absolutely perfect. The entire process of planning was so smooth and easy, the whole team at The Please Touch Museum were beyond helpful and a delight to work with. I can not say enough wonderful things about the beautiful space, the absolutely incredible food, the flawless service and attention to detail. I am a wedding planner myself so I know first hand the amount of work that goes into weddings and Lynnelle was phenomenal. I am absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From our first meeting I knew that this was the place for us to get married. As someone in the business, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to relax at my own wedding or get out of planner mode, but having people like Lynnelle and her team (shout out to Rosie who also made sure our every need was taken care of before we even knew it) made it possible for me to fully experience being the client/guest and not spend a moment worried that some detail was going to be overlooked. The whole day felt like a dream. A perfect dream. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Stunning. -

Highly recommended!
We had our wedding this spring at the Please Touch Museum and the whole thing felt like a dream! The building is already incredible on its own - it’s unique and fun, but also very elegant and the carousel was a lovely bonus. Our guests loved the venue and the food, and the Brulee Catering team was phenomenal. Lynnelle was amazing and so much fun to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. From our first meeting with her, she was super responsive, organized, and made the planning process a breeze. She guided us through everything, and we were really impressed with her attention to detail and how she seemed to have answers ready for all of our questions. On our wedding day, the catering team did a fantastic job handling everything so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing, keeping things flowing and running smoothly. Everyone was so friendly and our bridal attendant was great. We loved our wedding and can’t recommend the Please Touch Museum/Brulee Catering enough! -

Best place to get married!!
The Please Touch Museum was my dream wedding venue and after last week that dream finally became a reality! It really was everything I was hoping for and more — it is such a unique and whimsical spot for a wedding and I know our guests will be raving about the event (especially my grand carousel entrance!) for years to come. Lynnelle is so helpful and she was super accommodating in making our somewhat unusual vision for the wedding come to life! Considering everything that’s included in the package, I think it’s actually a really good deal price-wise, especially for the area. The staff were all great and our guests raved about the food. I would absolutely recommend getting married here. It was an unforgettable night and I am so thankful to PTM and Brulee for making our wedding dreams truly come true!! -

Best day ever!!
My now husband and I went to the Please Touch Museum and it was the only venue we visited because it was perfect! While we came for the venue, we stayed for Lynnelle who is the most talented and efficient wedding planner around! If you’re someone who has anxiety like me, Lynnelle is someone you want on your side! I also swear she’s a mind reader because she seriously anticipated any question or concern I had and I actually felt calm when I arrived at the venue to get married and she greeted me and assured me everything was going to be great. If anything goes wrong(which luckily for us not much did) I can almost guarantee you won’t even hear about it until after the wedding!
I feel like the venue speaks for itself, I mean it is breathtaking! The carousel was such a huge hit and made for the best pictures and EVERYONE who works there are the nicest people! I don’t think I passed anyone without them congratulating us or asking if we need anything! It was the PERFECT day and our guests are still talking about it! I couldn’t recommend the Please Touch Museum more highly!! -

I’m probably happiest Covid bride out there
We began planning our wedding December 2019. After looking at several venues, we fell in love with Memorial Hall immediately. There was no other place for us.
What made our choice even more perfect was working with Lynnelle, Director of Catering at Brûlée. She helped with every major and minor decision we needed to make about the wedding. She “got” me and my aesthetic immediately and had fabulous ideas that fit my theme.
Of course, we didn’t have a typical wedding planning journey. There was a whole pandemic in the middle! Lynnelle was fully transparent, encouraging, and kind throughout our long wedding process. We changed the date and she made sure the menu, the venue decor, the servers, and all the support staff were in sync with our vision.
I cannot say enough about how awesome Lynnelle and our wedding was. She made everything easy and when we had to adapt to covid rules we felt like we were in safe hands.
Aside from that, she is the warmest, friendliest, and most upbeat person I could ever have hoped to work with. I cannot recommend her highly enough! -

Magical Wedding!!!!
Completely magical!!! We just got married at the Please Touch Museum at Memorial Hall... It was even better than I could have imagined!!! First of all the building itself is absolutely gorgeous and historic with high ceilings and ornate pillars... you feel like a million bucks just walking in. We had our ceremony in the foyer, our cocktail hour in the carousel house and our reception in memorial hall with blush uplighting, stars on the ceiling, and clouds from the Alice in wonderland exhibit lit in the distance. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Everyone was amazed at how spectacularly beautiful the venue was. What's more, Chez and Lynnelle were amazing! I must have emailed each of them 100 times and they always got back to me quickly and were super helpful! The food was delicious and I even got feedback from my guests on how impressed they were with how smooth the service was! All together, I couldn't be happier that we put our trust in Chez and Lynnelle to make our wedding dreams come true! -

Highly Recommend for wedding!
I'm not going to lie at the beginning of our process, communication with Brulee Catering at the Please Touch Museum had me a little worried. I often had to do follow-up e-mails due to the lack of responsiveness. I also became a little upset because we expressed interest in a particular date that was on a "soft hold" and we were never informed that the other clients backed out of their "hold", and that the date actually became available again. Nonetheless, we kept our second choice date (luckily we did because the weather was way worse for our first desired date), and we are sooo happy we decided to stay with Brulee Catering and the Please Touch Museum. Once we finalized everything, we were assigned Tiffany Johnson, and she was nothing but amazing!!
Tiffany helped us whenever needed; and communication with her was a breeze. She quickly responded to all of my annoying e-mails, and did it in a very professional manner.
She was even very patient and kind when we asked about doing a Pittsburgh Cookie Table - which required a lot of extra planning on her part!! I couldn't imagine what our wedding would have been like if we didn't have Tiffany on our side!!
The Please Touch Museum provided an amazing backdrop for our wedding! Many of our guests were from out of town, and they all fell in love with fun cocktail hour with carousel rides and the amazing architecture displayed in the Hamilton Hall! The food was also amazing!! Unlike other weddings we have attended at other venues, our guests will remember the yummy food!! My husband and I often joke and wonder why other couples would want to get married anywhere else, when this amazing venue is available in Philadelphia!!
I highly recommend the Please Touch Museum and Brulee Catering for your wedding! They were a great company to work with, and helped us with all of our wants and needs!! Not to mention the a gorgeous, fun, and unique venue for a wedding!! -

Merry-go-round Cocktail Hour!
We had our cocktail hour in the Carousel House at the museum, and our reception in the main hall. Guests LOVED the carousel (it didn't matter young/old, male/female, family/friends, shy/extroverted, EVERYONE was on that thing!) and it made for great photos! The hall was perfect for our large (250 guest) wedding, and the dance floor was spacious enough for everyone to dance, and for special events like our Chinese lion dance performance. Working with Brulee Catering and the museum made all of the dining logistics very easy. Would definitely recommend! -

The staff at the Please Touch Museum were professional and very proud of their venue and what they can offer. On the day of the event, the staff went above and beyond to be certain that the bride and groom (and mother of the bride!) ate! Many guests commented on how the staff executed the serving of fabulous, hot meals to each table with perfection. When employees enjoy what they are doing, the guests notice! -

We got married on January 13, 2018! We had the ceremony and reception at the museum and we had around 300 guests. From the beginning to the end, Marley and her team were awesome! They were quick to respond to all of my questions (and many emails) and they made sure that we knew exactly what to expect on the very busy day. Our guests were so impressed. We received many compliments about the beautiful venue, delicious food, and amazing service. We were also amazed with how quickly the team was able to set-up before and clean-up after the wedding. It was definitely a night to remember. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PTM and Brûlée Catering! -

Marley and her team were wonderful throughout the entire process. We booked the venue a little over a year before our wedding date. They were very accommodating with some customization of the package that we wished to purchase. As the wedding grew closer, we reached out to Marley more in regards to the tasting, floor layout, menu, signature cocktail, etc. and she and her team were very prompt with responses and also with trying to make the day go as perfectly as possible. The week prior, I probably emailed her a couple times a day to make sure that everything was set, and that drop off of other things (such as table numbers, birdcages, guestbook, bathroom baskets, etc) could be coordinated. Again, everyone was on top of all of the planning and set up and the room looked beautiful on our wedding day! The staff was attentive and we had a day of attendant that would bring us snacks/foods/drinks throughout the night. The staff also let us know when it was time for parent dances, speeches, cake cutting etc. Each and every person made our day go extremely smoothly and we had the perfect time! Would highly recommend not only the venue itself for the beauty and fun atmosphere that it created for us and our guests, but also for the high level of professionalism and individual attention that everyone gave us throughout the entire planning process. -

We had our wedding reception at the Please Touch Museum, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue! We wanted a unique venue and something different than the typical ballroom wedding. We had our cocktail hour in the Carousel House. It was whimsical, elegant, and fun. Even adult guests enjoyed a ride on the carousel! Dinner and dancing were in Hamilton Hall, which is totally breathtaking, especially with the right lighting and draping. Our guests were blown away by how gorgeous the space is.
The service during our reception was also impeccable. Guests at each table were all served dinner at exactly the same time. I've never seen this kind of service before, and several of our guests commented on how impressed they were. My husband and I also had a separate attendant just for us, and she was very attentive and made sure we never had to get up to get a drink. The whole evening went smoothly, which couldn't have been as easy feat for the staff with a reception for 300 guests!
The food was also excellent. Brulee even customized an Indian chef action station for us during cocktail hour, which was delicious! The h'orderves during cocktail hour and the entrees during dinner were also fanstastic. Overall, we were thrilled with how our wedding went and owe much of that to everyone at the Please Touch Museum and Brulee!

Our experience with Brulee catering at the Please Touch Museum was amazing! They really went out of their way to make our event a success. We had many unique requests because we had a Hindu/Jewish wedding and 300 guests, but they were very easy to work with. One thing that initially worried us was that we could not see the venue set for a wedding before our wedding. But I can reassure you that the event look spectacular for a black tie event! Our guests were amazed by the carousel. Some guests even thought we brought it into the venue. Marley worked with our vendors to get them in for setup as early as possible. She organized tastings with the chef until we got exactly what we wanted and she even threw in a couple good surprises at the end! We worked with multiple venues/ caterers for our wedding and our experience with PTM/ Brulee was the best! Thank you! -

Marley Alig, the team at Brûlée and the Please Touch Museum staff are the epitome of excellence. If we had to do a wedding all over again, I would only do it with this team. We are from Washington, DC and finding an entire complement of key people to make our daughter's wedding the fairy tale she wanted could not be found in Washington, period.Price, environment, uniqueness of facilities, and outstanding menu and wait service was nothing short of the best! -

If I were to get married again (except I won't, seeing as I married the woman of my dreams), I would return to Brulee Catering Every. Single. Time. Our contact, Sarah Wright, was with us from the very beginning of planning, all the way through the evening of our wedding for the 1.5 years of our engagement leading up to the big day of our wedding at Please Touch Museum. Sarah was timely in her e-mail responses, thorough in the requirements, responsive and helpful to any and every big or small question that popped up, and she even accommodated us in a few of our somewhat unconventional special requests. Sarah's professionalism and dedication to our big day really made the difference once we arrived at the venue, she made sure that all we had to do was show up, she took care of the rest from there. And I haven't even gotten to the food!
Brulee Catering offers several tiered options at different price points so as to ensure you can stay within your budget, as well as an unbelievably extensive amount of optional add-on's that help to truly personalize the exact kind of wedding reception you're looking for. Not only is it obvious that the chefs truly care about the food options they create, but the entire staff is devoted to ensuring every guest enjoys their evening.
We had 225 people at our wedding, and we received a significant number of compliments from our guests as to how wonderful the Brulee staff were. Not only were they professional and was the service impeccable, but you could visibly see they were enjoying their evening's work, what a difference that makes!
When planning a wedding, you have many vendors and different moving parts coming together at one time, it can definitely feel overwhelming at times. Sarah and her team at Brulee were the glue that held all these moving parts together, minimizing the amount of stress for my bride and I, freeing us up to truly soak up the atmosphere of our big night. -

We got married at the Please Touch Museum in July and it was amazing! The planning process was made easy because Kim, the catering coordinator is incredibly good at her job. She answered phone calls and emails faster than I could ever imagine and had a solution to every problem that came up...and my wedding was complicated by the fact that it involved a Persian ceremony. Kim made me feel at ease until the very last minute. The venue is beautiful when it's set up for a wedding. Our guests raved about the service and food. If I could do it over, I wouldn't hesitate to have my wedding at the museum. I recommend it with no reservations. -

What a magnificent venue!!! My daughter wedding was on Oct 6th. The staff, especially Kim, are the most amazing people I have ever met. They really know what they are doing! We arrived at 5:00, just as the museum was closing from the public, for a 6:30 cermony and reception. In the course of little over an hour, they transformed the museum into a manificent wedding venue. They were able to set up chairs for the ceremony for 265 people and 28 tables with all of the trimmings (linens, centerpieces, table frames, ect in the dome room. They also set up the carousel room for the cocktail hour. They were the most organized, patient and kind people and efficency like you wouldn't believe. Kim coordinated with us for the months prior and was eager to help in any way she could. I had a few changes along the way that she very calmly made, and made me feel totally at ease. The food by Brulee catering was unbelievable. All night our guests were telling me that it was the best wedding food they have ever had and the best wedding they had ever been too!! I can't say enough good things about the venue and the catering. -

Hands down the best place in Philadelphia to have a wedding! This is the only place I looked, its quirky and different but has all the elegance you want in your wedding location. The layout, lighting and staff were all amazing. I wish I could have events at the Please Touch once a year, no once a month!! The venue was playful but chic and my guests could not believe how amazing everything was, three weeks later I am still getting compliments. Absolutely wonderful!!! -

Bill with Please Touch Museum was awesome. Along with Kim, the representative from their caterer Brulee, the museum made us feel so welcome and comfortable. They became like family. -

If you are kids at heart and want a fun, yet classic wedding venue, the Please Touch Museum is the perfect fit. We could not have found a more amazing venue to suit our style. The exhibits and carousel for cocktail hour were so unique and fun for our guests and Memorial Hall itself is absolutely stunning. Our guests all remarked at what a playful, beautiful, unique and dramatic space it was. The vibe of the museum carries through to its staff who all seem to genuinely love being there every day and were so happy for us as a couple. Bill was so sweet and organized! Everything went off without a hitch and made for a truly magical day. It was also pleasure to deal with the folks at Brulee, PTM's exclusive caterer. -

Gorgeous and Fun Venue
Brulee Catering at Memorial Hall/the Please Touch Museum was a highlight of our wedding! During the planning, Lynnelle was there for us with our million questions in the lead up to our wedding and ensured everything went smoothly the night itself. Our guests were very impressed with how seamlessly the wedding events flowed and that is simply a reflection of the event planning prowess of Brulee Catering and specifically Lynnelle. The venue itself provided the perfect mix of elegance and fun that we were looking for. How many couples get to ride a carousel during their wedding?! We would highly recommend Brulee Catering at Memorial Hall/the Please Touch Museum! -

went to an open house for engagement couples to look at venues for the wedding. It was spectacular since it was located right in front of the carousel, great food, and the vendors didn't push you to like them. -

There is only one thing I don't like about the Please Touch Museum - that it is called the "please touch museum". I switched the invitations to "memorial hall" (the historic name for the gorgeous, historic venue) so people would stop asking silly questions like "is there a rock wall for us to climb?" "so is it sort of like a casual thing? Should we wear jeans? Weird, I always thought you'd have a black tie wedding!"
Those who have looked at the pictures know - It's GORGEOUS in the inside, gorgeous outside, just the right amount of playful and classic at the same time. and the staff is amazing.
The venue itself is not that overpriced for the area. Let's face it, you get a LOT for the cost. Namely, a freaking indoor carousel that runs during cocktail hour - where else will you get that? The piping and draping is pretty ridiculous, however. You have to use their people for the draping and it's insanely expensive for what we all know is about 30 minutes of work. They also do things like charge $500 to remove the front desk. No one is going to want a bright red, blue, and yellow vestibule in the middle of the wedding, so why not roll that into the price of renting the venue so you look less ridiculous? Small rant which in the grand scheme of things is not a big deal.
It's difficult to talk about the venue without talking about the exclusive caterer- Brulee. My event contact was Marley. She was available pretty much 24-7 throughout the wedding planning process and on the day of my wedding she stayed for almost the entire event. Emails back immediately, had lots of input, gave me GREAT vendor recommendations and calmly talked my dad off a cliff about 10 times. :) The food was SO good, we had 2 no shows and got to eat their meal the next night for dinner. The bartenders were great, everything was super smooth and I got to eat, drink and dance at my wedding which is more than most brides could say.

We held our reception at the Please Touch Museum in March and it was PERFECT! We had cocktails in the carousel room with dinner/dancing in the main hall. Marley was the coordinator for the PTM and Brulee Catering, and she was great to work with, extremely professional and willing to accommodate any and all of our special requests throughout the planning process. She and the rest of the staff where there all night to make sure everything went off without issue. I did not have one worry the entire night!
We just got our pictures back, and I love looking in the backgrounds because everyone is smiling and having a great time. The ones of our guests all dressed up and riding the carousel are priceless! Also, there are so many unique pictures from around the museum exhibits.
It was the best venue that was able to be both extremely classy and beautiful (the architecture is stunning!) but add a touch of fun. I could not recommend it more - the people we worked with, the food, the presentation, everything was absolutely wonderful! -

We LOVED the Please Touch Museum. If you want a unique venue, then this is your place.
Our ceremony was in the carousel room, cocktails in the River Adventure Room, and the reception (for 200 guests) was in the Hamilton Hall. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The space was STUNNING.
The food was delicious. They allowed me to personalize the salmon to be exactly as we wanted. Everything was executed to a T. The bridal assistant was perfect, she had a drink waiting for us every time we made it back to our table.
There are just too many nice things to rave about. -

If you're looking for a city wedding, there is really no better place to choose than the Please Touch Museum. The historical architecture is already so beautiful, there is very little decorating that needs to be done to make the room look magical. Just add some uplighting and flowers and your guests will be blown away. Also, the PTM offers so much within their package you don't have the hassle of finding a vendor for everything! However, if you want to use different vendors, you can, with the exception of food, but I don't know why you would even want to. I got so many complements on how delicious the food and service was. The servers were always around if any of my guests needed anything. The wedding package includes chiavari chairs, hundreds of choices of linens, tax and service fee's (so theres not surprises), parking (which is amazing for a city wedding), open bar, coffee and tea, cake and I'm sure more that I am forgetting but these are all things that other venues would charge you extra for! I just couldn't believe we were getting all these things included in our price! And Stephanie, the bridal attendant for the night, was an absolute gem! She was like a magician making sure everything was moving smoothly and she made sure to bring my husband and I food from the cocktail hour (that is when we were taking pictures) and we always had a fresh drink in our hands. She was truly amazing and made the night so stress free for us. I can't say enough good things about the PTM, they helped me have the wedding of my dreams :) -

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Please Touch Museum. We wanted to provide our guests with a romantic, yet unique experience. We received compliments about the venue all evening. Whether it was the beautiful dome ceiling, amazing arches, or the carousel during our cocktail hour our guests were captivated by the beauty of the building. Everyone at the museum was accommodating, professional, and friendly. Brulee Catering did an amazing job with our appetizers and entrees. Our guests were raving about the food all night. I would absolutely recommend the Please Touch Museum to all of my friends and family. -

Beautiful and unique wedding venue
We had our November wedding with 110 guests at PTM this year. The venue is spectacular and staff are great. We overall loved the venue and the staff, but wanted to detail specific pros and cons since this is a very big decision! But overall, if you're looking for a venue that says WOW, this is it for you in Philly!
Pros: the venue is absolutely gorgeous and magical, especially at night. You get 3 great spaces (the entry hall for ceremony, carousel room for cocktail hour, and the main hall for your reception). Everyone told us that this was one of the most beautiful and certainly most unique wedding venue they had ever seen (and we had some picky guests)! We also thought the food and drinks were excellent -- many people told us they had never had such good wedding food (we particularly loved the salmon and the chicken tortas). You also get cake through Isgro's included which is amazing. The staff day-of was excellent and super helpful. Every wedding gets their salesperson (ours was Terri) and a day-of assistant (ours was Michaela) -- they made sure we always had a drink, that things were running on time, and that guests were happy. Finally, we found the prices to be super reasonable, especially compared to comparable venues in Philly and beyond.
Cons: we had a bit of trouble communicating with Brulee while we were hashing out the details of our event, but they were transitioning staff, so it could be due to that. You also need to purchase lighting for this venue which adds on an additional $3-5K -- this was well worth it for us, but worth knowing ahead of time. On an extreme nit -- we had ordered the late night pretzels and tasty kakes and felt like it wasn't quite worth it. I would recommend additional cookies from Isgro's instead if you're looking to amp up your dessert course. We also felt like the favors weren't placed strategically and a lot of guests missed them, so we went home with dozens of extras.-

Please Touch Museum was a magical place for our wedding. The venue is gorgeous and the food was excellent. The staff was very attentive to the needs of the bride groom parents and wedding party. Our photographer also told me he was treated great and the vendor meal was good as well. -

Loved the Please Touch Museum
Overall we were very happy with our experience with The Please Touch Museum and Brulee Catering. This venue is definitely special - we didn't want a "cookie cutter" hotel-ballroom type of venue, and this was a homerun. The food was excellent in terms of quality and quantity. In dealing with the representatives of Brulee, there were some instances where open communication was lacking, but we got on the same page and everything worked out great. -
