    Perfect Pies for Wedding Dessert

    We ordered about 250 pies (cuppie sized) for out wedding dessert and they were a hit. The variety of flavors and the ability to get for dietary restrictions was helpful with our large wedding party. The taste also help up from the shop tasting to the day of!

    Yummy favors!

    We have been going to Pie Sisters as long as my husband and I have been dating and we have never ever been disappointed. When it came time to plan for our wedding in September 2018 we knew we wanted to tie Pie Sisters in to our wedding day in some shape or form, so we decided to hire them to bake pies for our favors. They came all the way from DC to deliver the pies at our venue in Berryville. We are thankful they took that off our plates for us so we didn’t have to worry about bringing them all to the venue the weekend of the wedding. The pies were delicious as always. We were thankful to be able to have part of our dating history in our special day and that our guests were able to head home with an extra sweet treat. Everyone commented on how delicious they were and even wanted to take seconds!

    Instead of wedding cake, we did a tower of wedding pies through Pie Sisters, and we are so happy we did!! Teresa was one of the best vendors we worked with-- so hard-working, dedicated to getting our vision right, and accommodating (we did TWO incredibly delicious pie tastings at no charge, which was extremely generous and very much in contrast to some of the fancy/snooty wedding cake places we tried). The pie was delicious and such a hit with our guests, and looked so beautiful. I even had pie for breakfast the next morning. These ladies work so hard, and in contrast to some people we dealt with in the wedding planning process, they had such a can-do attitude and weren't constantly trying to upsell us, which we really appreciated. If you are considering pie for your wedding, we can't recommend Pie Sisters enough!

    I first tried pie from Pie Sisters because they generously donated some to the Georgetown House Tour Tea and I was absolutely hooked. Considering that and the fact that both my husband and I prefer pie to cake, it is no surprise we checked out Pie Sisters to cater our wedding pie. We had a wonderful tasting experience. They were so nice and welcoming, gave us coffee, and let us choose 3 different cuppies (individual size pies) to try. Then they took the time to sit down and talk to us about ourselves, our event, and the pies we had tasted. The whole experience was so warm and personal, and it felt like they cared way more about us than the other bakeries we looked at, but that’s often what you get with a smaller business. They give a 15% discount for large orders and even offered to rent us some decorations to use on the pie display table at the wedding! Leading up to the wedding the communication was great, they delivered everything on time, and most importantly the pies were absolutely delicious! We will absolutely continue to get pies from Pie Sisters for all our future events!

    * These are some of the most delicious pies I've ever had in my life

    * We received a ton of compliments on the pies for dessert

    * They came on glass plates that looked great so we didn't have to transfer them; they came ready for display.

    * They allowed us to customize our bulk order -- anything from the store in any quantity. No minimums, packages, etc.

    Working with Pie Sisters for our May 2017 wedding was great - Maria responded to our emails quickly, pick-up on the day of the event was easy, and the pies were delicious!

    We loved using Pie Sisters for our wedding! We had one large pie for us to cut, instead of a traditional wedding cake, and about 300 bite size pies in 5 different flavors. Our guests were not dissapointed!

    My now husband and I were not keen on spending tons of money on cake and decided that pie would be a great alternative for our barn wedding. Pie Sisters was helpful in recommending what and how much to order. We decided to go with the pie bites. There was some worry that the crust to filling ratio wouldn't be great given the size of the bites, but after going to try some that was no longer a concern! I was able to place the order months ahead of time and make changes to the order a few weeks before the wedding when we had a final head count. My venue was not in DC and for a fee they delivered the items. The bites were a huge success!

    My now-husband and I wanted pies to go for our rustic wedding BBQ. We got the cupcake sized pies (cuppies) for our guests in key lime, apple caramel crunch, bourbon chocolate pecan and pumpkin. And then got a single 9 inch key lime pie for our pie-cutting. Everybody loved the pies. They had a perfect filling to crust ratio. The order was on time when we picked up and the sisters that own the store were all so friendly and accommodating.
    Not only am I so glad we had AMAZING desserts for our wedding but now every time I pass by Georgetown I make it a priority to stop in and pick a few cuppies up to take home.

    We had pies instead of cake for our wedding reception. Pie Sisters makes mini bite size pies that you can order in many flavors and as many of each flavor as you want. We got 80 mini pies and one regular size pie to cut. They were flexible in the design of the large pie and were able to do a really cute palm tree crust with a heart cut out of the trunk and our initials in the heart. The pies were a hit and the couple I got to try were delicious! We also spent a lot less than any traditional wedding cake would have cost! They were also able to deliver the pies to our event venue for a small fee.

    I met the owners of Piesisters at a Bridal event at The Williard Hotel. This company makes the cutest and most delicious mini pies. I served this dessert at my daughter's Bridal Shower. This was the total hit of the party. Our event was held at the fabulous Sequoia Restaurant in Georgetown. The luncheon at the Sequoia was fantastic and the mini pies were like the icing on the cake. I am so happy that I met the owners of Piesisters and was able to have my guests enjoy these delicious mini pies. I ordered 40 each of 5 kinds of mini pies.     Pie Sisters is awesome.

    We decided early on that we wanted a pie buffet, in lieu of a traditional cake, for our wedding. After tasting pies at a couple places in DC that offered this service, it was clear Pie Sisters was the choice. And boy, are we happy we chose them.

    First, Pie Sisters was totally flexible in allowing us to chose the type and quantity of pies for our wedding buffet. We went with apple, jumbleberry, key lime, and chocolate bourbon pecan (and unfortunately ran out of the latter; we should have got less apple and more chocolately boozy pecan!).

    Second, Pie Sisters also went above and beyond by offering to do little hearts on the pies and our initials on a pie. These designs look great and made the day just that little bit more special.

    Third, the folks at Pie Sisters delivered the pies to our venue right on time. Not having to worry about this thing the morning of the wedding was stellar.

    Fourth, the ability to return the glass pie plates to Pie Sisters for a partial refund is generous. We returned the plates a couple of weeks after our wedding, no problem.

    Oh yeah, finally, the pies were delicious!

    Thanks to Pie Sisters for making our dream of a pie buffet real.

    We didn't want a traditional wedding cake at our reception, so we opted for pies instead. We chose 4 flavors of cuppies (cupcake-size pies) for our guests (pumpkin, apple, pecan, and s'mores) and a 9-inch jumble berry pie for us to cut at the reception. Everyone loved the pies, and the girls at Pie Sisters were great to work with. Would highly recommend!

    We fell in love with Pie Sisters while I was a student at Georgetown. We really wanted pie for our wedding day but also wanted a wedding cake. So we decided to give out mini-pies as favors and it was an amazing decision. Our guests loved the mini-pies! Pie Sisters was so easy to work with as well and gave us a discount for our large order. We had four flavors - chocolate pecan, apple, pumpkin, and jumbleberry for our fall wedding. They made cute little "K & R" and heart toppings on the pie crusts. They also printed out the favor labels and wrapped them for a very small fee ($.50/pie) which was so worth it because we didn't have the time that week to do that for 130 mini-pies. We received so many compliments on the pies from our guests and we even had a friend try to steal more because she couldn't resist how delicious it was. I really recommend it as a favor or as part of your reception's dessert table. We plan on continuing to go to Pie Sisters for our important family events.

    Delicious pies and great service. We were very happy that we used pie for our wedding and our guests appreciated it too. The Pie Sisters also helped create a lovely display for us. We couldn't be happier. We will definitely be visiting their shop in Georgetown for our anniversaries.

    We knew we wanted pie for our wedding and looked at Whisked! pies and Pie Sisters. We tasted pie at Pie Sisters and our search ended there. We had bourbon chocolate pecan, cherry, key lime, jumbleberry, and classic apple cuppies, along with five corresponding full-sized pies. The value was great, and Allison was easy to work with and responsive (all while expecting twins!). Our guests loved the pie (read: it was ALL EATEN UP!), and we loved the special details they used for the pie we cut - M & P lettering with little heart cut-outs. Gorgeous AND delicious. They delivered our pies to our venue without incident, and they worked well with our coordinator. We will definitely go back for more pie on special occasions, and we highly recommend working with them!

    After checking out a few pie places in the DC area, we ordered a mix of key lime, cherry, and chocolate bourbon pecan mini pies and corresponding normal-sized pies to cut for our wedding in Mount Vernon. The pies were pretty and delicious, and I appreciated that we could customize the pastry toppers. They were also a deal compared to area cake makers!

    That said, there is room for improvement in the responsiveness in ordering/paying for the pies. Nothing too stressful, but the ordering process could be more streamlined.

    Nonetheless we have already recommended Pie Sisters to all of our friends getting married soon for a delicious, memorable wedding dessert, and we will continue to rely on Pie Sisters for anniversaries and other special occasions!

    I contacted Pie Sisters with an order inquiry on March 12th. After sending one follow-up email and placing two follow-up calls, I was finally able to speak to the vendor on March 26th. Erin was friendly and referred me to her sister, Allison. That same day, I forwarded my order to Allison--however, it again took several follow-up emails to have the correct order placed, which was completed on April 6th.

    I was disappointed it took nearly a month and an unusual amount of effort to place my order (68 cuppies and 1 9" pie). Allison stated it typically takes 1 week for a response, so my particular case may just be a unique circumstance of timing. I will note the quality and detailing of the pies and their willingness to accommodate our request to pick-up the pies early were much appreciated. The guests loved, in particular, the jumbleberry and the bourbon chocolate pecan cuppies, and we were happy with the end products.

    If you are looking for delicious pies at a great value, then I would recommend Pie Sisters--it just might take a little longer than expected to get what you want.

    I just wanted to point out that they didn't even message me back when I sent them an inquiry. I was very disappointed because I liked their pies and I thought it'd be a cool and different party favor for my wedding guest. I'm not going to give someone my business if they can't even message me back.
