The dress!

Returning customer here! I bought my homecoming dresses from this boutique which they no longer do and I had such a great experience then, I returned to buy my WEDDING dress! I scheduled an appointment just to “look” and get an idea of what I wanted in a wedding dress and ended up saying YES! To the dress and veil! They do in house alterations which put this bride’s mind at ease. My dress was absolutely perfect and altered to fit me! I had a strapless dress that had beautiful straps added to them and my veil was beautiful!! Will be taking my dress here to be preserved as well!

Great cust. service. Great prices off the rack!

With only 3 months til my wedding I was pleasantly surprised and elated they I was able to find my dress the first visit and at an unbelievably great price! Our sales person listened to conversations me and my sister was having and pulled the perfect dress! I can’t wait to wear it on my special day!

It was great !

The girl that helped me out was new at the time of my appointment . But, that didn’t stop her she went out of her way to help me find the right dress . She was really good , she gave her honest opinion on stuff . She brought me stuff that she thought would look good with the dress . She tried to give me a visual of what the dress would look like if I added a longer/shorter sleeve . My experience was just great .

My Fairy Tale

From the moment I walked in, I knew I would be in good hands. My “Fairy Godmother” Sloane performed her magic and picked out gorgeous dresses for me to try on, with each one being more gorgeous. I really felt like a fairy tale princess. Another fairy tale maker, Elise, was helping another bride but still without her recommendation of adding a beautiful belt and later helping with my alterations, I would not have dazzled as I do. Everyone at Parvani Vida including the lovely Iris and Ilicia, and of course the visionary Jeannie. Thank you!!

Amazing! Long lasting memory!

Oh my GOSH!! Everybody I mean everybody at Parvani Vida was EXTREMELY helpful! I went in the store kinda shy and not really knowing what to expect. I had been to other bridal stores and they just made me totally feel out of place and threw me off of what I originally thought I had wanted. I came to Parvani Vida and they made my dress shopping not only easy but a long lasting memory. The person that helped me was Soule. (probably spelling her name wrong, sorry) She took all my ideas and inspirations of what I was hoping to find and she worked her magic, mixed everything, and found my perfect dress!!!! My dress was absolutely stunning. It was at the shop the weekend Harvey hit and the owner , Jeannie, made sure to keep the dresses safe. She also did an amazing job with the alterations.

Parvani Vida was our next to last stop after 2 whirlwind days of bridal dress shopping. They were beyond exceptional in listening to what I was looking for and helping me find 'that' dress!!!! Needless to say, I said yes to the dress and couldn't be happier!!!!! Thank you again, Alicia! You were wonderful and I cannot fully express how thankful I am for your help!!!! To any bride dress shopping, i would say- Shop at Parvani Vida first! You'll save yourself time and gas money, as you most likely will not need to look further!!!!!

This place was the 1st place I looked for wedding dress shopping and I ended up buying my dress from here and it being the 1st dress I tried on. I fell in love with my dress, and tried on other dresses but I had to have that 1st one. It was off the clearance rack and I bought it for a steal of a price for the quality that it was. I felt so beautiful and comfortable in my dress. The owner even special made my veil that I wanted since they didn't have in stock what I was looking for, and she said she could easily make what I want and she did and it also was beautiful. I did my alterations and cleaning here also. I like a 1 stop shop.

I visited NY and purchased French alencon lace from the garment district for my custom wedding dress and brought cut outs from magazines and pictures of dresses to Jeannie, the owner at Parvani Vida in Houston, TX. I explained to her how I wanted the top part of this picture and the bottom part of this other one... and the train of this picture... etc etc. I know I was probably very picky and indecisive, but she was AMAZING and SUPER PATIENT with me throughout the entire process. She worked so hard and sketched at least 3 drawings of my dream dress and texted me pictures with sweet messages, sharing her excitement for me. When the sketches were finalized, she worked endless days and nights on my wedding dress, tending to every detail and carefully sewing each piece... I know she put so much love and effort into creating my dress because at my final fitting, my dress was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. She took my dream and made it a reality. She made me look and feel gorgeous on my wedding day. Jeannie is the kindest, sweetest, most generous woman I know. She genuinely cares about people and is passionate about creating perfect dresses for brides. I could not imagine sharing my wedding planning experience with any other person. I'm so thankful for her and highly, highly, highly recommend her!!

The staff at Parvani Vida are so patient and helpful! They didn't put any pressure on me at all during the process of finding my wedding dress and were very patient in allowing me to try on different styles. At other stores I felt pressured to make a decision in 15 minutes but the environment at Parvani Vida is relaxed and friendly. The tailoring and hemming of my dress was perfect and I couldn't be more happy with the final product.

You know how it is, you see a designer dress and you can't get it out of your head. They brought the dress in from the designer and of course it was the one. They were fabulous to work with. I also like that they kept my dress throughout the process. I took it home just a few weeks before the wedding. I did have to worry about it, I did not have to keep it from my fiancé, it was one less thing to worry about.

I found THE dress at this bridal salon. My alterations were also done at Parvani Vida and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day because my dress fitted like a glove. I found the perfect dress at Parvani Vida, but had to add a jacket to the sleeveless gown for the ceremony. No problem for the amazing alterations department there! They made a custom jacket with the same lace from my dress. It fit me perfectly and looked gorgeous. They whole process there was effortless and I plan to get my dress preserved there too!

Great dress place! The best looks for the best price. Plus, they do great alterations. Although they didn't get it right on the first try, they did a great job of fixing it! I loved my dress and veil, definitely a great place to shop for wedding attire.

Parvani Vida custom designed my wedding gown exactly how I wanted it and I couldn't have been any happier! Jeannie was amazing to work with and did an incredible job on my dress. She listened to every detail from the style of lace to the buttons on the back of my gown. I am so glad I came here! I also purchased my bridesmaid dresses, my mother's dress and the groom and groomsmen tuxedos. It was a one stop shop with their large selection of gowns!

This bridal shop was great! They were the only shop in Houston that had the David Tutera gown that I had been searching for. They also gave me a great deal on my dress and veil. I was able to go in numerous times to try on my dress and when it came time to alter the length of the dress the ladies were so nice and sweet.

I had found my wedding dress soon after my husband proposed the only bad thing is that no one here in Houston carried that designer's dress. I found Parvani Vida on the internet and gave them a call and asked about this specific dress and the lady on the phone told me that they did not have that dress there either. Then she asked me for my wedding day and I told her and she said that they were going to have that designer's trunk show and would have all of her dresses at their boutique in a couple of months. I made my appointment and fell in love with that dress and the treatment that I received there. Catherine helped me through the whole process. She helped me pick all of my accessories and understood me well. I am an all sparkles kinda a girl and she helped find very thing that would go with my dress keeping the sparkles. My very picky bridesmaids found there dresses there too I love this place and I recommended it to everyone.

I had a great experience at Parvani Vida. I went in looking for a particular dress but they didn't carry it. They were very helpful in finding other dresses similar to what I wanted. This was the second dress store I visited and ended up finding my dress on the first visit. The dress arrived when promised and there was never a problem with anything. After looking at bridal magazines over and over again, I knew that I wanted a Casablanca dress because they are so delicate and dainty. There are not a lot of bridal stores that carry Casablanca in the Houston area and I was delighted to find that a bridal store near Sugar Land carried them, especially the dress I had been drooling over for months!! Needless to say, I got my perfect dress! They were able to store it until the wedding and cleaned and pressed it after my outdoor bridal shoot and before the wedding. Their alterations and quick and affordable. Everyone there is so sweet, helpful, and HONEST! We also ordered the bridesmaids dresses there and the girls LOVED them!! We are all soooo happy with Parvani Vida!

I love Parvani Vida and the ladies who work there. Ask for Maria, she's the best! The shop is an adorable boutique nestled in the middle of Hwy 6. I loved all their gowns and the fact that I was not rushed to look thru them and try on. They let me look & pick out my own styles, but they offered help/answers if needed. I found the best designer dress out of the other 8 shops I looked thru. They took care of steam cleaning (twice) and stored my dress until needed. Great service and beautiful selection.

I found my dress at Parvani Vida. My wedding was 6 months before so I had to rush my dress, but the staff was very knowledgeable and willing to make it work. Also, they measured me and told me what size heels I would need to avoid hemming the dress. When the dress arrived, I had to book my fitting on a Saturday since I was coming from out-of-town- They don't usually do that but since I was only there that weekend they made an exception. When I tried on my dress for the first-time it fit perfectly, the only alterations I needed was to add bra cups ($25.00). They also made the bustle free of charge and steamed the dress just before pick-up. I do suggest you make an appointment when trying on dresses that way you have someone's undivided attention.

I got my dress at parvani and it was the best experience I had it was smooth and Jeanie really took the time to work with me to find my wedding gown, specially after my previous vendor (Ventura's Bridal) messed up my order and one month before the wedding was left with no gown!! Truly a brides nightmare!!!!
I was lucky to find my dress at Parvani and they took care of me and had my dress ready before my wedding day! I must say that I got it on sale and that it was more beautiful that the first one!!! I got great complements on it.
Parvani has great selection of gowns for every budget and I can truly say that they saved my wedding day!

If you want a unique dress and undivided individual attention this is the place for you. The store was so beautiful, when you try on your gowns you step onto your own stage and are lit by only a big beautiful chandalier. The staff was so helpful when I came in not knowing at all what I really wanted, they showed my tons of dresses and brought about 15 dresses into the room for me to try on. I was not rushed and when it came time for alterations three days before my wedding they did a brillant job and was done by friday morning ready and steamed for my wedding on Saturday. As for the prices they do have some that are a bit pricey but they have alot that are more than reasonable, I kept getting comments on my dress saying that I must have spent thousands but really i only spent hundreds.

By far my favorite vendor. I worked with Maria...I went there about 5 times to try on my dress before finally purchasing it and she never once got pushy or annoyed. I brought a different group of people everytime and we were always welcomed and accommidated. It was a wonderful experience buying my dress. It came in right on time and they did the alterations in a week. I didn't even asked it be rushed, they are just that fast. The alterations came out wonderful. It fit like a glove. They have the best selection that I have seen in Houston and surrounding areas and I have see more than a few! :) I have referred many friends there and they all have loved it and purchased their dresses there! The store has a very classy feel and the samples are clean and the store is always immaculate. They are doing a great job!!!

This boutique offers personality and class and such a variety. They really cater to their clientele. I have recommended so many brides there and they have all walked away fully satisfied. I tried other dress shops, but no other place held a candle to Parvani Vida. I found my dress in one visit. Also, they accommodated my huge family with all their opinions and were very nice during the whole experience.

Parvani Vida was excellent. When you walk into the boutique you immediately feel like a princess. There were so many beautiful dresses. I am short and petite so I had a hard time finding a dress. I wanted something that made me feel like a true pride with the full bottom, plunging back, sweetheart neckline, full train, and plenty of details. I found all of that at Parvani Vida. Everyone said that my dress was beautiful. I felt like a bride without being swallowed by my dress. Everyone at the boutique was so helpful and the service was excellent.

I have 2 daughers and they both found their dresses at Parvani Vida. we worked with Jeanne and Maria. Jeanne is the owner and she is a designer. No surprises. Everything was done and arrived on time or before. They are the two easiest people to work with planning a wedding. The are located almost 50 miles from me but it was the best decision I made going their to find wedding dresses.

Gorgeous Dresses!

I absolutely loved my wedding dress shopping experience at Parvani Vida! Everyone was so sweet and helpful and their selection was all so stunning. Unfortunately, there was a mix up when they ordered my dress and they ordered the wrong color. When I went to pick up my dress and saw that it was the wrong color, I was devastated. The manager I spoke with promised she would get me the right color but kept insinuating that the mixup must have been my fault. She asked multiple time if I had changed my mind at all (which I hadn't). They were able to correct the mistake and I got the right color just a couple weeks later. They were even kind enough to ship it to me across the country. I would still absolutely recommend ordering from Parvani Vida!!

I had a wonderful experience at Parvani Vida. I had no idea walking into this place that I would end up finding my beloved dress, but I'm glad I did. I couldn't have found a more perfect dress for me. There wasn't a huge selection in my budget so I only tried on about 4 dresses, but that worked out in the end. "The" dress for me was in the selection. Marisa ended up helping me and I really liked her. She was sweet, not pushy at all and we just connected right away. I almost felt like she was part of my little entourage of my Mom, mother-in-law and MOH, while I tried on the dress the first time around. In fact, when I went back the second time for a quick visit to decide whether I was going to purchase this dress or not, she was the only there with me when I said "YES" to the dress. Overall, the place was nice and professional, but Marisa helping me was the icing on the cake :).

Loved working with these ladies! They helped me find the perfect dress for my big day! I was so pleased with the service, I bought 2 wedding gowns (one for the wedding, and one for the reception). Perfect place if you're looking for a dress that exudes romance, or one that is classy and modern. Highly recommended! (Also, I received 20% off my entire bridal attire after getting a coupon from the Bridal Extravaganza)

Excellent service. Maria was my consultant and was with me every step of the way. I changed my mind last minute on the dress I ordered and she helped rather than complain. I received my dress in time and my bridesmaids received their dresses in time as well. One bm dress was the wrong style number and this vendor re-ordered her correct dress and had it expressed shipped and she received in time for her alterations.

I bought my dress and veil here, the staff is very nice and the place is super clean! You do have to set an appointment everytime you go in. If you are a budget bride this might not be the place for you, but I will tell you you get what you paid for! I love my dress I bought a 1999 casablanca and the veil I forgot who makes it.

Parvani Vida was great to work with. I mostly spoke to/dealt with Anita, and she helped me find my dress on the first visit. She showed great customer service and had a LOAD of patience. I lost count on the number of times that I went in there with different people (mom, bridesmaids, aunts), but they were willing to help me every time with a smile. The owner of the boutique was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and was the person who solidified the final changes to my dress that I had requested. I felt comfortable with the way they handled things; it was an overall wonderful experience.

Only place in Houston with my dress for a great price. A little disappointed with the seamstress though. I went twice and she ended up just telling me that my zipper couldn't be altered to cover the zipper itself. I ended up going to a family friend. Otherwise, Parvani Vida was open late for appointments and were easy to work with. Very nice people!

I only came here because I had won a gift from one of the bridal extravaganza that houston held. I didn't think that I would find the dress I wanted for the price I wanted ($1200 or below) because the quality of the dresses they carried were high quality, and boy was I wrong. I immediately felt special when I walked in, and wanted to try all the dresses on. they wanted to know what I was looking for, what I liked what I didn't, and most importantly what my budget was. They really respected that, which I found was very professional of them. They did bring a little of every style that way I could definitely rule out what I didn't like and keep what I liked which I loved because I ended up falling in love with one that I wouldn't have thought. It was absolutely perfect. They definitely have a wide variety of prices.. yes there are those that were thousands.. :o)

This was a wonderful dress shop with very helpful people. They had the best selection of dresses at the best prices I had seen anywhere and I looked all over Dallas & a few places in Houston. The seamstress added sleeves to the dress and no one would have ever known they didn't come on the dress. It was beautiful! My only issue with the Responsiveness was that it was sometimes difficult to get someone on the phone or get a call back quickly. Otherwise, it was a great experience. Thank you!

The people at Parvani were super-helpful and despite it being an upscale bridal shop, they weren't snobby at all. They called me as soon as the dress came in (which was even early)!

Parvani Vida had beautiful dresses! It was hard to choose just one! All of their representatives were very sweet but Holly was just down right incredible! That girl will do anything you want! I felt so taken care of. I found a dress that was like the Kenneth Pool one I loved (my dream dress and cost $8,900) for only $1,241! Definately in my budget! I ordered two veils with it: a blusher and cathedral in diamond white with a rhinestone edge and they were beautiful! I felt like a princess in that dress and everyone told me that my dress was THE PRETTIEST dress that they have ever seen and they weren't trying to be nice--it really was! They were too expensive for me on alterations though so I had to find someplace else that was more in my buget. I highly recommend them and I have to all of my friends!

I got my dress from Parvani Vida and from the first appointment to the last try on they were very helpful and very nice. We had so much fun trying on dresses the first day and I found the dress of my dreams. The only thing that was not perfect was the alterations. But they worked hard to fix and and in the end the dress was amazing.

I had made 3 appointments in search of a dress. Parvani Vida was the second of the three I checked out. The lady who attended to me was extremely sweet and professional. I found a dress which I fell in love with and cried in! :) I went for my 3rd appointment and came back for the dress at Parvani Vida. And the price was reasonable also and within my budget. My experience as a whole was pleasant and would recommend Parvani Vida to others.

I discovered Parvani Vida Bridal online while looking through the David Tutera website. I saw that they were having a trunk show with his collection and made an appointment. The staff was very helpful and helped me try on a few different dresses and I eventually found THE ONE! Once my dress came in I went with my mother to try it on but the staff wasn't as helpful. The lady put my dress in the dressing room and just walked away. After 5 minutes of fussing with the dress/hanger I called out to my mom to help me try it on. Once I tried it on I stood out in the waiting area looking at how it fit and still no one from the staff came to help or ask if it even fit right. After that when we went back to the counter they offered to hold my dress for me, steam clean it and bustle it all in time for the wedding and I said no. I read reviews of the bad alterations and took my dress elsewhere. I still recommend this vendor because they had a wide selection and were helpful in the beginning, however I would not recommend alterations.

I am very happy we found Parvani Vida. I had been to a few other places before we found this little shop and still was a little unsure the exact fit I was looking for. They were very patient and took the time to talk about my vision for the wedding. They found dresses that fit my description and even found some others they thought I might like. My mom was also able to go around and look for others that she thought I might like. I am not a very decisive person, so this process was hard for me. They let me take my time and try on a few dresses multiple times, so I could be sure which one I wanted. I loved the dress I picked and it looked great on my wedding day!

Parvani Vida was so good to me! I went there twice for dress appointments and found a couple very strong contenders. For one of the dresses I wanted to get some custom beading added to the back. My consultant called the vendor and got a quote for me while I was still admiring myself in the dress! I ended up not buying a dress here because I fell in love with one off Pinterest which they did not carry. I did get my dress altered here and bought a veil and got both steamed for the wedding. The alterations were thorough and well done. All of the consultants and staff I interacted with were professional, honest, and very helpful. I definitely recommend Houston area brides look here for your dress. Every time I went in for a fitting I kept seeing gorgeous new dresses on the racks!

Purchased a gorgeous sample gown from Parvani for a steal! The staff was courteous and kind while I went through the emotional rollercoaster of selecting my wedding dress. The store is gorgeous and comfortable. The only slight negative I would comment on, is that alterations prices here tend to be higher than other places.

Good Experience with Mother-of-the-Groom dress

I bought a beautiful Mother-of-the-Groom dress and had it altered to suite rather conservative wedding. Dress was pricey, alterations weren't cheap either, but you get what you pay for - it came out absolutely gorgeous. Staff was very professional and friendly. This is the great place, if you're willing to spend a little more, the result is way worth it.

This was the nicest bridal salon I went to with my mom and SIL. They had dresses that were out of my price range but the staff worked with me to find a dress in the sales rack. The lady who worked with me was awesome and she even helped us find accessories and was able to recommend how to make my own belt for my dress. I would highly recommend the store.

I decided to get my alterations done here but I do not recommend this. It was way overpriced and they were not flexible with alterations appointments (only during the week). On my last alterations appointment, the alterations specialist wasn't even there which disappointed me because I would have liked for her to fix something. I have a very rigid schedule and it is difficult to get off work and drive to this side of town. I do not recommend the alterations department. I wish I would have looked at other places.

I loved my dress, I went in with an unrealistic price. But the guy who helped me was very helpful and work with me. They have plenty of dressed for sale, I got a fantastic deal on mine. The lady who first helped me was very nice and knew what she was doing. I did not like however the second time I went in to have my dress adjusted, as I picked it up with the idea that it would fit, they should have suggested I try it first. I had to come back the second day for them to help me figure out what was wrong. Luckily no more adjustment was needed and everything was taken care of.

Parvani was great! They were very helpful and catered to my every need. This dress shop is not near my home, but the quality of service was worth the drive. They made my dress shopping experience very pleasant and I highly recommend them. I only wish they had weekend hours for the alterations. Being that they weren't located near me, it was difficult to go during the week for alterations. But other than that....a great shop and worth visiting and considering the purchase. The staff was great. Maria helped me find exactly what I was looking for and paired up my headpiece and vail with my dress to a perfect match!

I wanted my wedding dress to look like something similar to Audrey Hepburn's in Funny Face. I showed the ladies a picture and they found one that was so close! After a few alterations, it was EXACTLY what I wanted, it couldn't have been any easier and more perfect, even with a small budget. They were so helpful and made you feel like a princess while you're trying different dresses on. They also have good promotions if you just ask for it, like $200 off a veil or tiara, or 30% off your bridal party attire if you choose to go through them.

The men's suits were a big stress-fest. They went through Jim's Formal Wear or something like that, but did minor alterations there in their store. I don't think it mattered what size the men measured out to be, everyone's suits came back totally off. The Groom had giant balloon pants, my ring bearer's sleeves came down just a little past his elbows, my father's suit came with the wrong tie/accessories we wanted with it, and a groomsman received everything three sizes too small. They altered the Groom's pants to not look like a clown pants the evening before the wedding, but we had to pull the groomsman out of the bridal party because they said it was too late to fix it, and we were so heartbroken!

I highly recommend giving them a try in the bridal gown department, especially if you're extra picky about your dress - they can make the dream work!

My review is two fold, First, the dress Purchasing Experience and second, the alteration process.

1. I made an appointment at Parvani Vida because I knew they carried the kind of quality dress I was looking for. When I got there I was afford as much time as needed and plenty of individual attention. The ladies were very helpful in finding dresses that they thought I would like. Ultimately I fell in love with a beautiful gown and purchased it. When I first bought my dress in Oct. 08, my wedding was scheduled for Nov. 09. They said it would take 6 months to get the dress which was no big deal; I knew it was going to need alterations due to my body shape and weight loss. We decided to move our wedding to July 09 which left a lot less time for my dress to arrive and be altered. I called to let them know that my date had changed and that I needed to be advised as soon as it arrived so I could begin the alterations process in time for my bridals. My dress arrived early; however I wasn�t contacted until 3 weeks after it arrived. The only reason I know this is because the lady who called told me what day it came in. The try on and purchase process were a dream, I love the store and the service I received.
2. The alterations process was an entirely different story. I arrived to get my dress altered and they couldn�t find the dress, they told me I was incorrect and that my dress had not arrived. When I asked them to check again, to their surprise it was there. We went back for 3 fittings, giving specific instructions each time as to what we wanted to see done. When I went back the final time to pick up my dress for my bridal portraits they had not completed the alterations the way they were supposed to. I had to take the dress anyway because my bridals were 3 days later and I couldn�t afford to go back again. After my bridal portraits I decided to go to a different seamstress and get it altered closer to home. When I went to the new lady she explained and showed me how they had messed up the alterations and moved my natural waist two inches higher than it should have been. They also never finished the hem.

I highly recommend girls to go, look and even buy a wedding dress at Parvani Vida, they have gorgeous dresses and great service however when it comes to alterations go to someone who can give you undivided attention and knows what they are doing. If you live in Spring, Tx area try Sew it Seams Alterations, she is a little pricey but she saved my dress that Parvani Vida almost destroyed.

I found my dress on the first day I was there. The sales ladies werespectacular. I went in for several fittings and everytime they reassured that everything would be fine and I had nothing to worry about and they were right. My dress fit perfectly. I wanted a Casablanca gown. They had them...not many options in Houston area. I ordered the gown in May. It didn't come until late November. I think that's too long as I needed to, have alterations before taking bridal portraits...my wedding was mid January. Thank goodness the only changes needed were buttons up the back.

I bought my wedding dress with Parvani Vida and was very satisfied with the price as well as the value. But if you are planning to order tuxedos from Jim's Formal Wear through Parvani Vida, DON'T DO IT!! None of my groomsmen were satisfied with the quality of their tuxes. There was no point in even measuring all the guys because the suits they brought for them were all made for men six foot or taller, and all they did what tuck in the pants and sleeves. The jackets and waist size of the pants were ridiculously large. My groomsmen managed to "fix up" their tuxes a little, but my husband and I had to go shopping for a suit for him THE DAY BEFORE our wedding, and still get alterations done on it. Please, do not give Jim's Formal Wear your business. Thank you.

I got my wedding dress here, and it was absolutely perfect! There are a lot of stunning dresses here at affordable prices. The service, however, is horrible. The sales associate at the front desk didn't even acknowledge me when I first stepped in. I was assisted by Maria the first time I came in. She rushed me the whole time, and couldn't even crack a smile. I specifically requested for a different sales associate for my second fitting. Jeannie, the owner, helped me. She was much more pleasant to work with and helpful.

I heard great things about Parvani, however my experience was quite negative. I had an early morning appointment, and there was only one more bride in the salon with me. I felt super rushed, and was not given a lot of time to browse through the salon. I tried on a dress I really liked but I was so pressured into buying it, that I changed my mind. Dress shopping: I had gone to several stores in search of my wedding dress, and my experience at PV was the best, bar none. Other stores only let me try on a maximum of 6 dresses and were not helpful with suggesting styles. At PV, I worked with Anita and who is incredible. She made several suggestions and I love the wedding dress I purchased. I absolutely recommend going to PV for wedding dress shopping needs.

Alterations: My alterations experience at PV was nothing short of a nightmare. For my first alteration appointment, I needed the bodice taken in, the hemline brought up, a bustle made, and I also asked for my straight neckline to be made into a sweetheart. I was out the door in 30 minutes. The ladies at PV pushed for an appointment in two weeks, but I had to schedule four weeks out. I received a call asking to push my appointment back at minimum a few hours for my second fitting because the dress was not finished yet. I tried the dress on to find several problems:
1.The hemline was only hemmed in the front, not on the sides. (My new tailor showed me that the hem was adjacently uneven in areas by 2-3 inches), 2.The bustle did not hang well and the dress flopped, 3.The neckline was not a sweetheart – it was a scoop and it was incredibly uneven. When comparing sides, the middle of the left bust was actually two inches lower than the right! When I mentioned this to the woman working with us, she actually asked if I had scoliosis, because otherwise she couldn’t imagine why it looked uneven.

The only thing done correctly was the bodice. When they said they would fix our concerns, I asked to come in again to try on the dress, they said “no, you only try it on twice for alterations, otherwise your dress will get dirty.”
Bottom line: absolutely go to them to look for the wedding gown of your dreams. However, when your dress comes in, please take it elsewhere for alterations.

Worst Bridal Appointment

I had high hopes for my bridal appointment scheduled at Parvani Vida, but unfortunately it was the worst bridal appointment I have been to. I chose this shop because online, it listed that it carried a lot of the designers and dress styles I liked. However, it did not. Beyond that, what was the most disappointing part was the stylist and the customer service. At other shops, the stylist asks you your budget, what styles you like, etc. to help you choose gowns. While the stylist I was assigned did ask for these things, I received little help in picking out dresses. As I tried on gowns, and described whether I liked or didn’t like them, no comments were made, no suggestions on the cuts or designs that would work for my body were made, and the stylist didn’t use any of the feedback I gave to find more suitable dresses to try on, as other more attentive stylists have done at other shops. Also, my stylist did not pin many of the dresses correctly or well. On one dress, I thought I didn’t like the top of it, but it turned out that it was looking weird because the cups were up too high and I caught this myself and I had to manually push the cups down to try to visualize what it would actually look like. Lastly, when my guests and I questions, my stylist didn’t seem to know the answers or care.

Overall, my summary of this shop is that while there appears to be a decent selection of gowns, my stylist was not attentive and not too knowledgeable on bridal gowns and fitting them. I got the impression that if I rated a dress high here that the stylist would then gush about how well it looks even if it didn’t.

I did find one Stella York dress that I may have bought (it ended up being a final contender), but I decided to go with a Morilee dress I tried on at another shop. If I had chosen one dress I liked at Parvani Vida, I wouldn’t have bought it from them. I already had searched for a different bridal shop that carried the same exact dress.

My bridesmaids ordered their dresses months ago and we have been getting the run around as to the expected arrival date. The manager insisted that we order them early which we did and we still do not have them. We were told they were going to be here on April 9,2014 and the manager changed the story...and now we are being told it will be another 10 days because the dresses are on a plane. It does not take 10 days on a plane for dresses to get her from China. This is absolutely the most ridiculous customer service for a bride and bridesmaids. PLEASE DON'T ORDER DRESSES from this place.

This was the most stressful out of everything. My dress came in on time. I had paid them extra to have it made to my measurements at the designer, but when it came in it really didn't fit, so I had to pay extra for more alterations. I picked it up for my bridals and tried in on with my undies at the other shop, which made me realize they hadn't done any of the alterations I paid for in the four months it had been sitting in their store. I had to drive all the way back to get fitted again and I picked it up at the end of the week, even then for my bridals they hadn't put the custom straps on it. So after my bridals I had to go back and get the straps put on, which they had no record that I ordered. So that was a hassle. It took three fitting to get them to work and what they had available wasn't even what I ordered, it was just two weeks away from the wedding so I had to take what they had. The fabric only kindof matched.

The bridesmaid dresses were a disaster. I had two girls that ordered the same size but one was a little over 5 ft and the other was 5'10" so we paid extra for her dress to be long. I had to mail the long one halfway across the country when they finally came in, which was a whole months after they were promised!! We found out when the other girl did her fitting that she was given the wrong dress, which went hers was on the other side of the country. Only one of my girls was ordered the right size dress. All the others were seemingly ordered too big, so they could get alteration fees. My sister fit into the sample size perfectly, yet they ordered a size bigger and she had it cut down everywhere. She paid extra for custom straps too, and they didn't get those done as ordered until the Monday before the wedding. My grandmother sewed them onto her dress for her the night before!!!

I do not recommend at all!

Awful do not go here!!!!!

I cannot say enough horrible things about this place. We initially chose Parvani because an associate that no longer works there was amazing to work with when purchasing my dress. After I purchased my dress everything went downhill. When I went to try on my dress after it came in, they refused multiple times to steam it for me (mind you I picked a crepe dress, so you can imagine how wrinkled it was coming out of a box). No one was sweet or energetic about coming to try on my dress as I’ve experience with my other girlfriends at their fittings at other bridal shops. No one offered to help put me in my dress. No one asked how my try on was going. They have 0 customer service and just want to make money. We later found out that they don’t even have a manage (go figure) and the owner is apparently the seamstress. Alterations were a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. My dress already fit me so what I needed was VERY minimal. When I went to try on my altered dress the seamstress cancelled an hour before, but I figured my dress would be fine so I went in to try it on anyways. I have never wanted to cry more in my life. She let out my dress so much that my figure fitting dress looked like a sack. Nothing we discussed was done. I have no clue how she was so far off the mark. Not to mention she offered to fix my shapewear so it didn’t show in the back and when I put it on the threading popped open. Then I had to reschedule and go back once again to meet with the seamstress she never once apologized for messing up my dress nor did any of the associates. She tried to fix my shapewear again and it broke AGAIN. Then she refused to give me my money back even though her workmanship was poor (eventually, after kicking and screaming she reluctantly reimbursed me). There were times when I was showing her what I didn’t like that she didn’t even acknowledge that I was speaking to her. Also, the floors are filthy and the bottom of my white dress was covered in hair and dust. My alterations still were not up to par, but the seamstress basically said that was the best she could do. I left unsatisfied and called another bridal shop to get another seamstresses opinion. When I told them I got my dress at Parvani they said, “oh no.. I’ve heard really terrible things about that place.” If that doesn’t say enough then idk what does. Not sure who they pay for these online reviews but they deserve 0 stars.
You honestly get why you pay for and I regret ever coming here.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! During my first fitting, I explained to the sale representative that I was told by Maria (the lady that sold me the dress) my alterations, bussle, storage, and steam were included in my final price. She said Maria had previously said that to another client. She told me to go ahead and try on my dress, and we will see what they can work out. The owner/manager, Jeannie, came in to review the terms and policies in a contract that they typically have all customers sign. I pointed out to her that I have never seen that document, and the contract was not signed. I asked her how can I be bound to an unsigned contract? The owner continued to yell and say that that email was considered a contract. I politely said to Jeannie as I was standing in my wedding gown for the FIRST time..."are you really going to continue to yell at me, your paying customer??? What type of customer service is this??? Then, Jeannie told me to take my dress and get out of her store!!! As I was trying to leave store, I overheard Jeannie tell the sales representatives to lock us in the store because the police were on the way!!!!! She said since you were yelling at me I called the police!! The police arrived, and cannot believe this whole debacle is over alterations! They also inform Jeannie that she cannot lock people in your store because that is unlawful captivity!!! I was completely mortified by this experience. I have never had any issues that have required the police. Furthermore, if Jeannie would have taken the time to apologize for the misunderstanding, and work with me to resolve this issue it would have never escalated so far! If I would have received an apology instead of someone incessantly trying to prove that she was right, I probably would have paid full price for the alterations. I really believe that my wedding dress is tainted by this horrible experience, and hope that no one ever has to experience this!

If you think the dress isn't fitting the right way then go find a seamstress who knows wedding gowns and can adjust it and make it fit your body.
I said, multiple times, "It's too big around my chest. I can see right down" Response: "Only you notice that and people looking at you can't tell"
Truth: They put bra cups, size A, into my corseted dress, and I'm a size 34DD, I didn't need bra cups, causing everything to fit oddly around the chest (I found this out from a seamstress in Boston area who, right in front of me, cut open the dress and threw these tiny bra cups across the room with disgust 5 days before my wedding!)
I said to Parvani seamstress, "There's a wrinkle across the stomach area", I was told, "Well, you'll be loosing weight."
TRUTH: The dress was TOO BIG! 2 inches too big around my waist! (My genius seamstress in Boston fixed my dress overnight and was cutting and sewing my dress as I stood in it. It fit like a glove!)
Again, I said to Parvani Vida seamstress about 3 weeks before the wedding, "Can I have straps because I STILL feel like it's falling down as I walk?" I paid more money for straps for dress that was too big that they could've fixed!
TRUTH: It was falling down because the corset was too big and no one told me that.
There's actually MORE. A couple blatant lies, lack of knowledge, horrible bustle, etc. I'm so thankful that I found an amazing seamstress 5 days before my wedding who worked tirelessly into the night to make the dress perfect for me.
Oh yeah, the seamstress I saw in Boston is famous for what she does and her pricing was more reasonable that Parvani Vida.
