Tucked away in Palmer's Market in Darien is the most adorable, most delicious, most delightful bakery. I never knew this place existed until I searched for my wedding cake. They prepared five giant cupcakes for us to taste test and I will just say they were all decadent and delicious! As my (now) husband is a chocolate lover we decided to stay classic and get the chocolate cake with buttercream frosting (we are NOT fans of fondant). For decoration we just did swiss dots and a lace design on alternating tiers. The cake was 4 tiers and we got a sheet cake as well (155 guests). A few weeks before the wedding I remembered that one of my flowergirls has a but allergy and I ordered a set of nut free cupcakes for her- which they easily were able to deliver with the cake.

My mother in law and grandmother in law now make special trips to Darien just to pick up dessert!

Palmers helped with my wedding cake and dessert bar at our wedding which were both stunning and delicious. They were huge hit at the wedding, we got so many compliments! Leading up to the wedding, Megan knew exactly what we wanted and was very helpful with suggestions and new ideas. She was great to work with.

Megan met with the bride and groom only once, because they live in Australia, but she produced the most spectacular wedding cake and dessert table ever! All the guests were thrilled to have such a variety of choices for dessert and loved the delicious wedding cake! Megan made it easy, beautiful and delicious!

Everything was perfect. The first time I met Megan was at the cake tasting, Megan emailed me a ton of choices and combinations prior and I picked 5 different combos. I went to Palmers with my Mom on a Saturday afternoon and Megan went over each one with me and they were all delicious. She sat with us, answered all questions, and made it all seem very simple :)
I choose a cake with three layers and each layer was a different flavor cake and frosting!!
The day of the wedding, she personally delivered the cake and set it up perfectly. My family RAVED about the cake, the design, the detail, the flavors....My husband actually surprised me and contacted Megan secretly and had the top layer made lactose free so I could enjoy my wedding cake too!! She was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend Palmers Bakery!!

The cake was not only beautiful but delicious, which is not all that common with wedding cakes. I met with Megan many times to discuss the design of the cake and changed my mind a million times. She was extremely patient and helpful through the process and her prices were extremely reasonable. I highly recommend Palmer's Bakery.

I was a bride that didn’t like cake (gasp!) and instead dreamed of a fabulous dessert bar. Palmer's Bakery made that dream a reality for me. Megan met with my fiancée and me with a full tray of decadent desserts for us to sample. After the first bite of her Pate de Fruit, we were sold! Although we fell in love with everything on that tray, Megan helped go over what we really wanted to include in the spread, as well as the overall "theme" of our wedding to be sure that our dessert bar was not only delicious but also aesthetically in tune with the style of the wedding. After meeting with us, she even sent us home with a big box of goodies to help make our long ride home a little more bearable. You can bet they were all gone before we even pulled in the driveway!

Aside from how happy we were with everything, my guests could not stop raving about how great everything was. Megan created such a gorgeous spread including everything from home-made chocolate-covered pretzels to cheesecake lollipops. She even suggested using the sweets as our favors, matching the take-out containers to my flowers, and boy was that a crowd pleaser! Food was definitely my main priority at my wedding and Megan's desserts surpassed my high expectations and hopes. I would highly recommend Palmer's Bakery to any bride!

Palmers Bakery did a beautiful job on my wedding cake. It looked exactly how I envisioned it. The fondant looked clean and smooth and the simple design was piped with care. Not only did it look beautiful, it tasted amazing. Megan made up a delicious and light but firm whipped filling/topping for us so our cake would have the homemade strawberry shortcake taste we were looking for. Megan is a very sweet lady that wants to please her customers. I can go on and on about how satisfied I am.

Megan helped me design the PERFECT cake! My wedding dress was pink, so I gave her a swatch of my dress and she was able to match it perfectly!

I had a pretty elegant yet unique cake that was totally me!

Palmers also did my desserts for the wedding. I wanted specific items and she was able to create wonderful bite sized treats that were truly amazing.

The staff at Palmer's Bakery was wonderful to work with for our wedding. Megan helped us design our perfect wedding cake, with no hidden costs. The day of our wedding, she and her assistant Liz arrived as scheduled to set up the cake. Everything went smoothly with the delivery and set-up, it was absolutely gorgeous and our guests raved over the flavor! In fact, we will be ordering a single layer version for our first anniversary (it was so good, we enjoyed the top layer with our families the week after our wedding). Plan ahead! Palmer's Bakery is becoming VERY popular for weddings!

Not only was it beautiful but many of my guests commented on how delicious the cake was! I was able to have 4 tiers with 3 different types of cake. I had red velvet, carrot and chocolate peanut butter. It was amazing!

They also provided me with most adorable macaroon tree (we're talking worthy of Laduree) and the tastiest pate de fruits.

Megan at Palmer's Bakery was absolutely amazing. Our cake was incredible, exactly what we described to her at our first meeting, and we had so many compliments on how great it tasted at the wedding as well! Megan was very flexible working with our budget, and was happy to answer any and all questions we had. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Thank you, Megan!

Palmers delivered a beautiful wedding cake. Megan worked with us to design the perfect look for us and made the process very easy. She was so much more pleasant and helpful then most of the other wedding cake specialty shops and at a much more reasonable price. My guests commented on how great the cake tasted and several have gone to Palmers for other cakes as well.
