Nick and I were not excited about being behind a camera for our engagement / wedding photos but Justin and Katie helped us to feel very comfortable and at ease . With all their wedding experience , they kept everything on schedule and helped us know where to be when. They tailored their service to meet our needs and really captured the vibe of our special day .

We could not have been more pleased with our wedding photographs! The Open Door Photography team and Justin Jacobs are highly recommended by us. Justin with Open Door Photography is absolutely amazing! His talent and eye for beautiful photographs are one of a kind! He makes you feel so comfortable and has a very carefree and fun personality. I would recommend him to literally ANYONE! He sent me teaser photos from my wedding almost immediately and I absolutely cannot wait to see the rest! I will probably want to frame all of them, which means I am going to have zero wall space! But I am a very happy lady!!

Justin and Katie were amazing and so much fun! They were a joy to work with! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great wedding and it really does show in all of our photos. My husband and I absolutely love our wedding photos, they turned out amazing!

Justin & Katie were amazing... Besides being so much fun they were professional and they scouted out the perfect spot for all the pictures. As the Mother of the Bride I fell in love with both of them from the moment we met, they made everyone feel so special. I could not have asked for a better photographer than these two they are worth every penny. I would highly recommend them to anyone. :)

Justin and team were absolutely amazing!! They really did get the best photos and were also fun to hangout with! After the wedding we had many guests ask who our photographer was because they were all doing such a great job!

Justin has been photographing our family for over 12 years. Open Door Photography is always are go to, when we need that special event captured. We are always beyond satisfied with Justin's creativity and his talent for capturing the "perfect" shot. He's the BEST!

I do not have enough good things to say about Justin, Katie, and the rest of the team. From engagement to wedding photos, Justin did an amazing job keeping us comfortable and at ease. He made sure to listen to what was important to us, and even had some examples from my Pinterest board saved (which was SO helpful!! When you're in all the excitement of your wedding day, you're not going to remember a pose you liked 4 months ago)

Our photos turned out so much better than we ever could of imagined. Even our wedding party kept commenting about how much fun we had! No more 30+ minutes of stiff boring photos.

Basically If you are looking for someone(s) to not only capture real, beautiful moments but also become a friend....these are your people. Wedding planning can be really stressful and somewhat chaotic... Justin and Katie (and the rest of their team) are a stress free no brainer.

I am absolutely obsessed with our photos, and we haven't even done our wedding photos yet! Our engagement photos turned out amazing! My fiancé is not a picture taking sort of guy, yet Justin was able to make us both feel comfortable, and it really shows in the pictures. He captured our personalities and relationship perfectly!

Absolutely amazing! Justin photographed our wedding last month and the pictures came back phenomenal. I'm always one to fret about how I look in pictures, but every one of these I'm super happy with. Right off the bat he put us at ease during the engagement shoot. He sat and talked with us for a while just to break the ice, very easy to talk to. He's got an eye for nailing the perfect shot, using the sun and the location on the fly to compose the pictures. During the wedding he was very organized, knew every combination of every relative to get together, had some cool ideas for the first look, and caught a lot of great candid moments like me playing with the dogs in my tux. I'm so glad we got a great photographer for our big day, because I'm going to be looking at these photos for the rest of my life. If any of my friends are going to be getting married in the future, I'm going to highly recommend Justin. Not just a great photographer, but a great person. Five Stars all around

We were blessed to have Justin & Patrick as our photographers last weekend for our wedding at Santa Margarita Ranch, as well as Matthew for videography. What an amazing team. They made all of us feel at ease and comfortable immediately. Their attention to detail was incredible and it is easy to tell how much they love what they do. They were genuine, friendly and such a warm presence to be around. My personal favorite was our first look, which they perfectly set up for some amazing photos and yet it still felt like such an intimate moment for us. All of our family and friends were in awe of the photos shown at the reception and couldn't help but ask "Who are your photographers?!? They are amazing!" After looking back at our photos, we are in love with every single one of them. They captured the magic of our day in every shot and from the smiles, the flowers, and the sunset to the beginning of our happily ever after, we couldn't have captured these memories without them. THANK YOU to Justin, Patrick and Matthew for helping to make our day all we imagined it could be. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude.

Open Door was the PERFECT choice to photograph our wedding. I had met Justin and Josh at my cousin’s wedding and knew right away by their personalities and professionalism that I needed to have them at my wedding. Justin shot our engagement pics, and they were truly magical. He went above and beyond to get the perfect shots. He was sweating in the sun, getting dirty in the sand, and even got his pants wet so that he could get the perfect shots for us. Needless to say they are hanging up all over our house now.

Justin and Josh showed up early to capture all the pre-wedding pampering and visited the men’s suite as well. The shots were so attention to detail, things that I would want to remember 40 years from now. Once again, Justin and Josh were going above and beyond getting amazing shots with perfect angles with the sunlight and surrounding flowers. I did not even notice they were there shooting pictures during the ceremony, they were stealth! During the ceremony, reception, dinner, and dance party, they captured everyone that attended. It was nice to see a good mix of everyone, not just the super loud or super obnoxious. Our proofs came out amazing, even made me tear up. I would hands down recommend Open Door, not only is their company so good at what they do and their knowledge of their camera systems so advanced, they are truly great souls. Always laughing and doing their best to make our day special.

We worked with Justin, Patrick and Caitlin, whom are fantastic. They really are true professions, but what really solidified it for us was, when we saw their work at another friends wedding. They're friendly, thoughtful, always flexible, give you every single detail and want to do the best job for you. They were an extension of our bridal party and it felt natural to have them there on our day. The pictures came out incredible on both our engagement shoot and the wedding and very different styles, so they're not a one trick pony type of team. Patrick, is amazing and has an incredible eye for what looks good.

Justin!! Oh my goodness. These guys are fantastic. They are a lot of fun to work with, and will make your day extremely relaxing and stress free. They took photos for almost 12 hours the day of our wedding!!! One thing our guests really liked, they put together a "teaser" slideshow and show it at the reception! How great is that!?

Words cannot describe the awesomeness of open door photography. Justin shot our engagements and wedding, captured every essence we hoped we could on film. Super funny and great hearted person to work with. Went above and beyond for our special day. Even with a panicked running late bride they helped keep my cool pre ceremony and had a blast the rest of the night with their photo crew :) if you need photos these are the guys for the job for sure! Love them!!

I absolutely love open door photography! Clay and Justin took my engagement photos over a year ago and I received so many great comments about the pictures which made me confident that I chose the right photographers for the big day. I just recently had my wedding and couldn't believe the type of service my husband and I were given. They made us feel that the whole day revolved around us and kept reminding us to stop worrying about day of details and to just enjoy the party. My guests and I could not believe that the pictures that were taken day of were already uploaded and used as a slide show during our reception. During the whole reception everyone would stop dancing and check out the beautiful photos on the projection screen. It was such a nice touch for the wedding. I 100% recommend the guys from open door photography they were funny, professional, great listeners, and overall incredibly talented photographers!

Justin Jacobs and the staff of Open Door Photography were such a Blessing to our daughter's wedding. She was so nervous and Justin knew just what to do to make her day amazing. The crew was so professional and went above what any vendor would do to make sure everything was perfect. I have four more children to get married and I know that Open Door will be sharing each one of these celebrations with us. We had the honor of having Open Door Photography photograph our July 27th wedding at the Sunstone Villa. They were very familiar with our venue, and from the first day we met them, they just brought our wedding day to life. We knew we were in good hands, and the day of they were nothing less than perfect. Each photographer took control of the day and knew exactly where to be and at what time of the day to get that perfect picture. Justin kept us on schedule which allowed my husband and me to actually enjoy the reception and our guests--all while getting the perfect pictures throughout the day. They definitely helped make our day absolutely perfect.

It was awesome working with Clay and Justin during our planning process! Clay was at our wedding and made sure no shot was missed! He is truly a professional and has a great creative vision. Open Door did an exemplary job considering the circumstances under which they were required to work - the venue lost power for several hours, starting during the ceremony and continuing through most of the reception. The photographs of the day were beautiful - capturing all the joy and none of the confusion or disruptions. These gentlemen are true professionals. I would highly recommend them to all!

We loved everything about working with Open Door Photography! They were so much fun, extremely creative & genuinely happy for us and our guests. The entire team worked diligently to capture the energy of the day. We had several guests compliment our photography/videography team because they had never seen such tremendous work ethic full of so much fun! Our guests enjoyed interacting with them which made for fabulous footage.
I recommend the videography tremendously, 6 months later after our wedding it is our absolute most treasured item from that day. We re-watch it all the time! Many of our guests watch it over and over just reliving the emotions of that day. All our valuable memories were captured perfectly by Open Door Photography through their attention to detail and passion for their career. I do not have a single critique or complaint about them---book them for your wedding!

I wish I could give a review of 6 out of 5 stars! We are so impressed with the team at Open Door Photography! Our guests absolutely loved their energy & fun in partaking in photo shoots!
They made us feel very natural in photos. We are loving the colorful, bright and beautiful photos.

Clay and Justin are so awesome to work with and they have the best personalities. All of our wedding guests kept saying, wow your photographers are incredible and they are so much fun! They did our engagements and wedding pictures and we felt so comfortable around them like we had known them for years! From the first day we met them we did not have to worry about anything! They provided us with references, timelines, and were always available for us to talk to them whenever we needed or just to ask a simple question. They definitely know how special and important your wedding day is and they make sure to catch every little detail in your pictures.
Our best surprise from Clay and Justin was when they set up a table at our reception with shots from our ceremony compiled with our engagement pictures. It was such a beautiful touch and our guests LOVED it, they even printed out cards with our wedding website so our guests could see pictures online and order them. We get so many compliments on all of our pictures and we are so grateful for the attention to detail that they gave us. Thank you Clay, Justin & Team for capturing our beautiful day! You are truly talented!! ☺

Thank you so much for the Aahmazing memories from Tim & my engagement shoot and wedding. I could eat them all up! LOL. Seriously though, you guys rocked the house! We thoroughly enjoyed working with you all. Several years ago I knew that Opendoor was the team to capture the memories of my big day. Didn't know when, where, or even who my man was at the time, but you guys were definitely my pick. From vibrant photo colors to your candid, creative style of shooting you had me hooked. Of all of our wedding vendors, Open Door Photography was hands-down our favorite- and we really had great vendors all around. They were so much fun to work with and really made us feel at ease in the photo shoots, which is pretty hard to do since neither my husband or I like having our photo taken. Our wedding photos turned out GORGEOUS, and they got the photos up on the website very promptly (I have heard so many horror stories of couples waiting close to a year to get their wedding photos. Ours were literally up by the time we returned from our honeymoon, with a number of initial photos up on the wedding night.) Justin and Clay are truly great guys and I would hands-down recommend them to anyone.

Opendoor Photographers are hands down the best photographers in town. We were looking for a local photographer and saw some pictures that they did and we knew instantly that they were who we wanted for our wedding. The photographers were amazing. They asked questions to find out what we wanted, they were fun and energetic, made us laugh, and provided the most spectacular pictures. Everyone is amazed at how clear and concise all the pictures are, and the colors and lighting were perfect. And the pricing/packages are perfect for any budget , and they work with you to make sure everything is what you want. I can't wait until we can work with them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone for any event.

They do amazing work!!! Have received nothing but complements on our engagement photos. We fortunately heard about them for a reference of our venue and have never been disappointed. Fun and easy to work with. For wedding photos to look at for the rest of our lives we couldn't ask for anything better. We have friends that went with other photographers that now regret not talking to open door after seeing the quality and galant that open door has.

They did above and beyond to capture the most beautiful pictures I could imagine. They are friendly and make everyone very comfortable and at ease. If there was a particular photo that I wanted, they made sure to make that happen and not force their ideas on me. I am pleased with their goal to make their clients happy. Their goal was achieved because I was so happy with the quality they produce and their ability to capture the most beautiful moments.

We worked with Justin as part of the Kramer Events team. Selecting a photographer and planning the wedding from distance seemed daunting at first, but as soon as we talked to Justin on the phone, we were confident that he was the perfect fit. He is so kind and personable, making us feel comfortable. His easy-going, positive, and flexible demeanor was absolutely critical, considering our jam-packed wedding-day itinerary. He captured some very special candid moments and worked with us to create the photos we desired. He was also very familiar with all the beautiful Central Coast territory we covered on our engagement shoot and wedding day, which made it easy and fun! We love Justin!
