We had our wedding at NYIT de Seversky Mansion and it is the right decision. Everything was perfect, delicious food, beautiful views, convenient location and outstanding services. Dana was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, the entire team made sure every part of our day was executed with perfection. We received positive feedback from our guests. They keep telling us how amazing the venue and the food were.

A heartfelt thank you to each of you —Dana and the entire team at de Seversky— for everything you did to make our wedding so special. You took such amazing care of us—from our first conversations in the spring until we said goodbye after our reception. Everything was spectacular. You nailed it every step of the way. The staff and service were impeccable, Chef—the food was amazing; simply over the top and perfect in every way, and the personal attention that you all gave us was so kind and made us feel special. We couldn’t have been happier with the day and the entire experience . .. and we are still receiving raving compliments from our guests about the venue, the food and the entire evening.
We are especially grateful for your patience and flexibility with us all along the way and appreciated so very much that you were so positive and patient about the weather on our wedding day to make sure our preferred ceremony location could still happen—the end result was magical.

Our August wedding at NYIT de Seversky Mansion was absolutely perfect! From the moment we began planning, Dana and Nicolette were incredibly helpful, answering every question and expertly guiding us through the process in just eight months. Their support made the entire experience seamless and stress-free – we are so thankful! While we envisioned a beautiful summer wedding, the Mansion's ambiance truly shone. The ceremony was intimate and created a magical atmosphere we will never forget. We are so grateful to Dana, Nicolette, and the whole team at the venue for making our wedding day so special, intimate, and memorable. I had my wedding at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion (European Style) and it was truly a dream come true! The venue is simply stunning, both in person and in photographs. The staff and everyone we have met at the venue in the entire process were so kind, friendly, professional, and made us all feel so taken care of. On the day of, they kept everything running on time and made sure all of our needs were met! Many guests complimented the food, from the cocktail hour to the delicious entrees. We even had multiple guests tell us that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended! If you want a beautiful and unforgettable event, I would strongly encourage you to visit the venue and grounds to see it for yourself and experience the magic! Thank you de Seversky for making our dreams come true! -

What a breathtaking venue! We had a wonderful Christmas wedding at the de Seversky Mansion and could not have asked for anything better. Dana was attentive throughout the entire planning process, and staff the day-of was top notch (shout out to Dora and John!). We opted for the European style reception and I highly recommend because you get to utilize all the beautiful rooms of the mansion. And last but certainly not least, the food was amazing and portions are generous - we got so many compliments about how delicious everything was! We had such a memorable day - thank you! -

We can not thank you enough! Our wedding was Perfect from start to finish. Just like a fairytale 🤍.
The Mansion was Gorgeous! The Bridal Suite was a dream!! That baby blue was so sweet and each and every corner of that bridal suite was like being on the set of some glamorous movie. Our moms were blown away and my bridesmaids just wanted to live there 🙈🤣😍. Everything was within reach and we had so much room and felt so comfortable. Valerie our Bridal Attendant was very sweet and attentive.
Eddie and his groomsmen absolutely loved their suite. They took so many amazing photos in there .
The entire Mansion and the gorgeous Linden Trees and land and view is tattooed in my mind. It felt like we were on the set of The Great Gatsby😍. The guests have not stopped calling us and texting and complimenting your venue and kept calling it a Diamond in the Rough and such a Hidden Gem.
We had our PreCeremony in the Cocktail Room and it was so beautiful and special .
Our Ceremony was Magical by the BiG Beautiful Magic Tree 🌳. We were so happy the weather was in our favor although your garden room is so lovely as well.

John was super attentive and so friendly and was always there to make sure we didn’t need anything and that everything was Perfect. He was super attentive to both our parents and really really cared and it showed.
Our guests were beyond impressed and amazed at the food and service and intimate atmosphere . Dana, it was so lovely and cozy.
We had so much fun lining up during the procession. John was there to guide us and had us all so comfortable and laughing .
The doors opened and we couldn’t wait to enter the next part of our Amazing Wedding. The room was was set up so perfectly !
The tables looked so elegant and were placed so well . That room is so gorgeous and cozy it doesn’t need much to be perfect as it is but all your attention to detail and thought for the dance floor to feel cozy was not unnoticed. John was telling us how you wanted the dance floor size perfect for us and it was.
The food at dinner was delicious. Our guests all said this was not only the most beautiful venue they have ever been too , so intimate and dreamlike, but the best food ever they had at any event or wedding .
Really really want to thank the amazing chefs and kitchen staff because all their love for their art and their care was tasted in the perfection of their food . Honestly, We’d give each one a hug if We could .

Let me start by saying our wedding was postponed in March 2020 due to the pandemic. We rescheduled and during that time Dana (manager) was very understanding and always so patient with us. Our wedding took place on 6/26/22 and it was amazing. The staff was great and everything was taken care of. We didn’t have to worry about anything as Dana and the other staff members coordinated the day so beautifully. The food was great and till this day guest keep telling me how much they enjoyed the food and the friendly bartenders. My bridal attendant Dora was so sweet and attentive. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. The grounds are gorgeous for photos. I am so glad we chose this venue and we are forever grateful to Dana and the other staff members for making our wedding day memorable and providing exceptional service. -

It was such a pleasure working with Dana she is very knowledgeable. The venue is absolutely stunning. I cannot thank the Chef enough for the care he took with us and for the fabulous food. Dream Wedding Venue - Classic, Historic, LI Venue
If you're looking for a unique, truly classic Long Island wedding, this is YOUR VENUE. Not only is the property gorgeous, with SO MANY amazing photo spots, but the staff is amazing. We postponed 3 times due to Covid and throughout it all, Dana and the de Seversky team were responsive and accommodating. The main draw of this venue is that it is non-traditional. Your guests can roam the grounds, step out for some fresh air, explore the different rooms in the mansion... we loved that it was a unique set up and something different. The food is INCREDIBLE as well. We loved our cocktail hour options and our guests raved about the dinner.
Can't recommend De Seversky enough! -

Perfection
My husband and I got married in January of 2022. It was everything we envisions. A small intimate wedding of 35. One grand kings table with flowers cascading down and tall candles lighting up the room. Beautiful ball room for such an elegant wedding. We were so pleased with how attentive Dana and the staff at de Seversky Mansion were. My husband and I did not have to worry about a single thing during the entire reception. We were able to enjoy each other and share this moment with our guests. I am truly grateful for that. -

Choosing DeSeversky Mansion was the single best decision we made during our wedding planning journey. Being a covid bride and having to reschedule our wedding a couple of times from 2020 was extremely stressful and Dana, the event and sales manager, ensured we were accommodated from start to finish. Dana was incredible and our saving grace throughout every hurdle we came across, she was everything and we are forever grateful for her.
Initially, it was important that we chose a venue that hosted one wedding at a time and I'm so excited we did. Not only did Deseversky make us feel like our day was important, they knew us by name, they were extremely responsive with any questions, they helped us with literally anything we needed and made us feel like our day was safe in their hands. The grounds are breathtaking and make for incredible photos, the mansion is beautiful in every way, the staff was incredible and the attention to detail was unmatched. The food was a-may-zing and my guests still talk about the abundance of great food and drinks. My husband and I are both of Caribbean decent and they even accommodated for traditional dishes that our important to our culture. My guests have told me repeatedly for months, it is the best and most fun wedding they have ever been to. My guests have also told me repeatedly, that we set the bar and they compare all events to ours!!! After all the stress we went through, hearing those comments made everything worthwhile and we have Deseversky to thank. After the big day, there's always things we would have changed, but I would choose Deseversky every single time, without hesitation. They are stuck with all of our venue needs moving forward, lol, and I'm so happy they are forever apart of our magical day! Thank you to Deseversky, Dana, and all the staff ❤ -

I always wanted to have my wedding at a place that did not ‘feel’ like a venue and where I could utilize the entire space throughout the day. When you walk into the de Seversky mansion, you are transported back to the early 1900s. Every detail of the place is in incredible condition and so intricate. You drive up through a wooded path that opens to the magnificent building. The entryway is pure marble and every room has a different theme and feel. We decided to do a ‘European’ style wedding so that our guests could explore the rooms as the night went on. Planning a winter wedding, I wanted people to ‘feel’ as though they were outside, but with temperature control. The Garden Room, a glass solarium overlooking a lake, was picture perfect. But it was not until we read the hundreds of rave reviews about the food and service that we were sold. The staff at this venue went above and beyond from day one, accommodating every single question and request. Dana and Robert Jay were always available and made us feel like family. Dana even realized one tiny item I forgot to pack for my drop off that I would have forgotten if she had not intimately known all the details of our day. Our maître d’, Jose, and our bridal attendant, Melissa, were two of the kindest and most thoughtful people. Melissa stuck to me like glue all night, proactively taking care of everything from my dress to making sure I was hydrated to reminding me where I needed to be at all times. Jose, similarly, did the same with the staff, coordinating the team like a conductor with an orchestra and boy did he not miss a beat! I have never seen such dedicated service in my life and to top it all off, the food and drinks were OUT OF THIS WORLD. No exaggeration, the food was like a 5-star restaurant but with so many options no guest could be bored. They also made all of the food cook to order, so every dietary need and desire was accounted for. Our guests were blown away by how taken care of they were throughout the night, on top of the nonstop care given to us and our wedding party. This venue exceeded every single expectation. -

Best part? too hard to pick just one.
It's hard to say what the absolute best part about hosting our wedding with NYIT de Seversky was. The groom's family, who loves historic places and beautiful architecture, would probably tell you it was the gorgeous mansion, well-maintained grounds, and picture-perfect ceremony location options. The guests would probably say the food-- there was so much food and every course was something you'd expect from a restaurant or award-winning caterer. As the bride, though, I think the best part was the endless support and expertise I had access to, and the immense flexibility and capability of the talent in house.
I chose not to use a wedding planner, despite having a very busy work schedule and not being physically on Long Island most days of the month, because I got overly ambitious and way over-estimated how long I'd continue to find wedding-planning fun for. The only reason I didn't regret it? De Seversky made every idea I had a dazzling reality. Custom escort card displays... a surprise dragon dance during the cocktail hour (they hid at least a dozen children, two Chinese lion costumes, and at least 2 taiko-sized drums in a back room for me while we exchanged vows. What other venue can pull that off? What other planner?)... baskets of sandals and bathroom amenities and photo frames and candles/bud vase arrangements throughout the entire mansion! An epic take-out donut display. All without batting an eyelash. When I asked whether I should hire a coordinator, they told us "our brides don't typically get day of coordinators... some do, but most don't, and most don't regret it"-- they're 1000% right. Their staff knows their space and timesheets like the backs of their hands.
Even better than that? They run a very tight ship in terms of timeline, meetings, responsiveness, simplifying payments. My parents are immigrants and their English is solid, but contract details can get confusing. The planning staff at De Seversky made all of us feel extremely in the loop and in control. Any time my mom wanted to call, drop by with a question, anything, Dana and Robert Jay would quickly get back to her. One thing I really appreciate is that when our headcount came in a little too high, it looked like we would need to use a different floorplan for where we had dinner. My florist had designed the centerpieces to highlight the tables on the edges of the room, however, and if we needed to change rooms, the redesign would have been last-second and very expensive. She was freaking me out, so I called Robert Jay to see if he could make it work, and he first calmed me down, assuring it would work, then had Dana and Jose, both superstars, put together a plan that probably wasn't as ideal spaciousness-wise, but it was what we needed. Dinner was a bit cozy, in the room we envisioned it in, and so so beautiful (and delicious! I still think about that shrimp garganelli pasta. Don't let them take that off the menu!!).
I cannot think of a way in which NYIT de Seversky could be trumped. It is delicious. beautiful. authentic. professional. These people know hospitality, and they will take care of you like fairy godparents. It isn't cheap, but it did save me at least $5K in wedding planning/coordinating costs, so that's considerable too. -

The feeling we experienced when we first visited de Seversky Mansion -- butterflies, and nothing less -- stayed with us throughout our entire planning experience. From our initial meeting to the final moments of the after party, Robert Jay and his team made us feel taken care of and at ease. The venue is beautiful, offering unique charm, and amazing photo opportunities that all of our guests raved about. The European style reception made our event feel like a luxurious non-stop Gatsby-style affair, and allowed our guests to sample a wide variety of de Seversky's amazing dishes. Finally, we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the unbelievable day-of staff, including Jose our Maitre'd and Melissa our bridal attendant - who could help even the most neurotic and anxious bride feel calm and in the moment for her big day. Couples - take it from us, de Seversky is a venue you do not want to pass up! -

When my husband and I first stepped into the mansion we looked at each other and said “this is it.” The atmosphere can’t be beat. The marble staircase when you first walk in is such a wow factor. But beyond the gorgeous visuals, the staff is wonderful and the food is out of this world!! We had guests tell us they couldn’t believe how much food there was and how good it all was. Melissa, the bridal attendant was fabulous. She brought us new drinks before we even realized we wanted one. She was always there for anything we needed and was super sweet and energetic the whole day. The entire day went seamlessly and I don’t think that could have happened without the wonderful staff at this historic mansion! -

The NYIT de Seversky Mansion was perfect for us. Guests were greeted in the library with a glass of champagne and water and then we had an outdoor wedding underneath their beautiful linden tree out back. Everything was so dreamy! Then we had cocktail hour with spaces inside and outside for guests to wander. Many guests said the cocktail hour was the best one they've ever been to! Then we had dinner in the ballroom (European style -- which we loved). People could actually talk and enjoy their meals without running off to the dance floor for a song they love. We had speeches in there and then we went over to the garden room for dancing and dessert. People loved that they could sit and talk with their family members while being able to see what's happening on the dance floor or up hop on the dance floor! The desserts were awesome! We had a Belgian waffle bar with cake and then donuts for guests on the way out. The staff at the de Seversky was TOP NOTCH. Jose (maitre d) and the bridal attendants Melissa and Kim were so attentive and made the night run SO smoothly. Jose really is a master in his field and knows all the tips and tricks that I never would've thought of (one example - not giving the actual rings to the ring bearers! and just the boxes! haha). JoAnna was the salesperson that helped us plan every detail all along the way and she really made us feel like we were in great hands! She really made it all come together. I am so happy we went with this venue. The venue itself doesn't need a lot of decorations, which was a plus for us. We wanted something different and it ended up being so romantic and dreamy. -

My husband and I got married at De Seversky Mansion on May 25, 2019, and it was truly the best day of our lives! Their attention to detail and commitment to making sure our day was perfect cannot be beat! Combine that with the STUNNING beauty of the mansion itself, and it's a no brainer ! We are so grateful to all of the staff at De Seversky from our director- Robert, the chef and kitchen staff, my bridal attendant -Melissa, maitre'd Jose, and everyone else who played a part in our special day. They were talented, professional, courteous, and always there to help! Our guests raved about the food (which was absolutely spectacular), service, and beauty of the venue! One of the best wedding planning decisions we made was choosing De Seversky as our venue, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to have the wedding of their dreams! -

The de Seversky Mansion gave me my dream wedding. My friends and family seriously refer to our wedding as the "Wedding of the Century," and that is all due to the unbelievable staff at the de Seversky Mansion. There is so much to write about the de Seversky Mansion so I will just hit some of the ultimate highs. First, everything was so organized the day of the wedding. From the ceremony, to cocktail hour to dinner and dancing- there was never anything I had to worry about.
Second, the Mansion is so well-kept, clean and just stunning. There are very few venues that you get to have all to yourself. We did a European-style wedding and got to really spend time in all different parts of the mansion. While the pictures look incredible, de Seversky is even more speculator in person.
Third, the staff is top-notch. Jessica Wontz is a rockstar and bent over backwards to make sure my day was perfect. She would talk to me on weekends and calm me down as I freaked out about wedding prep. Jessica is also extremely organized and professional. She really became a friend throughout the process! We feel so beyond grateful to have her part of our wedding planning process. Also, Jose, our maitre, was the absolute best. He made sure that everything the night of wedding was perfect. He was so professional and really ran the Mansion like a well-oiled machine.
Fourth, the FOOD. No words to describe how delicious it was. This is not wedding food, it is seriously a gourmet meal. When our friends talk about our wedding they always say, "the food was incredible and there was so much of it!"
I could go on and on, but overall the de Seversky was everything I wanted and more. They are an unbelievable wedding venue and if you can secure a date, book it! You will have the wedding of the year! -

My wedding could be described as a perfect fairy tale. As a little girl you always dream of this day (damn the patriarchy am I right? haha) and on Saturday I felt like a princess. It could not have been a better day. I have no words to describe how incredible the staff is. I kept hearing from my guest how amazing the attention was and I have to agree. Melissa, the bridal attendant made sure everything went perfectly, she was an amazing Fairy god Sister (shes to young and beautiful to be a fairy godmother haha). She remained calm and always had a solution to even the smallest of problems. (With champagne!)
The staff there are worth their weight in gold. -

With my side from Maryland, his side from Queens/LI/New Jersey, and most of our friends from the Tri-State area, it just made sense to get married in NY. Engaged in May 2017, we knew we wanted June or September of 2018 and narrowed down our venue selections for visits. After visiting de Seversky, we went to another Jersey City venue, but we could not stop thinking about the mansion. After making sure it checked off all the boxes, we brought my parents to the venue and they saw how much we loved it, so we booked it for 9/15/18!
With what we thought was going to be a wedding for 220 (we ended up with about 180), they were hesitant that the space was going to be too crowded or the flow from room to room was going to be strange, but it was exactly everything I could have hoped for!
My planner, Leah Weinberg of Color Pop Events, and Rocio Morello worked together seamlessly from what I saw and Rocio or Jessica was always there with a quick answer to a question I emailed in. The team at the mansion was top-notch, super professional, and my Dad was quite impressed with our tasting event, which was delicious (get the sea bass!).
On the day-of, the bridal attendant team, maitre'd, and his staff were amazing, always inquiring if we were in need of anything and gently working through the timeline and getting people to the different rooms of the mansion as the night progressed from cocktails, to dinner in the dining room and atrium, to dancing in the ballroom.
As soon as we stepped on campus at NYIT, we fell in love with de Seversky. Nothing else could come close and throughout the whole process, we felt genuinely cared for. Our guests had the most amazing time on the most gorgeous September evening and for that I am extremely grateful for everyone’s hard-work to make our day so special. Thank you! -

She helped us for the year from when we signed the contract through the day of our wedding and I am so grateful. We had Julio as our maitre d and he was so organized and efficient. Joan was our bridal attendant and ensured we ate and had everything we could possibly need. If you're even considering this venue - stop now - and just sign! It's literally the Gold Coast mansion you wish you owned and they make it like it's your house day of! -

Jessica was the most professional, flexible and understanding sales rep I've encountered. With both my husband and I being in sales it was so refreshing not to feel like I was being sold on an idea but more so educated on the different options and offerings with no pressure added. She answered every question with the upmost honesty and expertise. She also stayed for the event until the very end which was completely unexpected - even helped us bustle mid way through! She was truly invaluable to the process.
Jackie, our maitre de, was hired on a bit after signing our contract. I am admittedly a control freak with a habit of meticulous planning and was uncomfortable with the idea that I didn't know her going in. As I went for my final appointment Jackie exceeded my every expectation. She was so down to earth and easy to talk to. She understood my vision and took note of all of my intricate details. She even asked a few questions that I hadn't though of previously. The night was executed flawlessly.
Joan, the bridal attendant, was the sweetest and most thoughtful god send. She greeted us at the door with glasses of celebratory champagne and before I could properly thank her was fixing my train and my veil so that the photographer could capture the moment. She was like superwoman and flash combined - she was everywhere without me ever noticing. She was stealth with grabbing food for dinner and conveniently placing it wherever we were on the off chance we could grab a bite! She even went back into the kitchen for some extra buffalo chicken rolls (MUST HAVE)
Speaking of food, it was first class! Not only was it delicious but also beautifully displayed. My sister in law is a chef and even she was blown away. We had a Gatsby style wedding with plenty of variety when it came to the menu and everything was superb. People are still raving about the spread!
Simply put, it was perfect! -

Oh, how I wish I can go back and do the whole day over again because I loved this venue so much, and the pictures were amazing. All of our guests were astounded by the beauty of the mansion and the quality of the food. My husband and I, plus our bridal party, and even some of our vendors could not stop raving about our banquet manager, Johnathan. I didn't know this until after, but Johnathan had only started a few weeks before at de Seversky, but had done a ton of weddings before. He was definitely on top of everything.
I could also have not asked for a better sales associate. Ana was so professional, but also super down to earth. She was quick to respond to all of my emails and phone calls, really organized, and made planning there really easy. All the girls there were helpful and really friendly.
I found one of the most helpful things was putting together a list of everything you're bringing to the venue ahead of time, with a description of where it goes, and the times it should be used/displayed, if it's not going to be set up from the beginning. I did this (minus the times thing) and it coincided with the list that de Seversky had which made the drop off really easy.
de Seversky might be one of the island's most expensive venues (why I got married on a Thursday!!!) but it was most definitely the worthy splurge of our wedding day. The service and the beauty are unparalleled. You won't regret getting married here! -

We fell in love with de Seversky when we first saw it and were thrilled that the venue only did one wedding at a time. We received countless compliments on the food and the decor. The staff was responsible and did a great job at looking after the bridal party and the guests. We would highly recommend the venue.
Damien was our maitre' d and he made sure that the day went smoothly from the setting up of vendors, to the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Our point person was Ana, she answered every question we had and was patient with us throughout the process. We were able to plan our wedding within 4 months because of the wonderful staff at de Seversky and their suggested vendors. -

Kristen Sent on 09/17/2013The venue is gorgeous, the food is amazing (guest continue to rave about it), and the staff goes over and above the call of duty (shout out to Gabrielle). So very accomodating and it was exactly what we were looking for. It is definitely the venue that rises from the bunch of cookie-cutter halls that have littered Long Island. De Seversky Mansion was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. We highly, highly recommend it to any couple in the midst of their venue search.
