    My wedding was July 16th, 2016 and I am an OCD bride that wants the best for a good price, I mean who doesn't. Norfolk Catering Company was it for me! Ted and his team gave me everything and more! Ted made me feel like he has known me for years and treated me like I was family. His staff was professional and so sweet. We had cocktail hour and a buffet and everything looked and tasted so good. I will call Ted for any catering needs in the future. Don't pass up this company you will not be disappointed!

    We absolutely loved working with Ted and his staff. The food was fresh and delicious, so much so that someone took all of our chicken, our guests loved the food and professionalism of the staff. I personally love Ted because he focused on my wedding as if I was the only client on his calendar. I've recommended him to someone else already. Thank you for helping us create a beautiful wedding day and we will be in soon to enjoy more selections from your menu. Definitely worth every penny! ! Thanks again Ted

    I was organizing an event that got rescheduled last minute, so I needed to schedule a caterer the night before the event. They were very reasonable and flexible and even changed the cost to meet our budget. The food was delicious and it was one of the best experiences I've had with a caterer. I would recommend them to anyone. They are very willing to work with you.

    I can not give a good enough review of these guys! First, the food was delicious. Great flavors and they even made us a gluten-free chocolate dessert for some of our wedding guests. Their Greek donuts were a big hit at our reception as well! More than just great food, their service was off the charts. Ted and his guys were respectful, professional, but also give a warm almost family-like vibe. They have a take charge attitude and don't let the bride (or the family) worry about anything. They are very prepared and interact well with the guests. They are not intrusive when they are serving or setting out the food. We just loved working with them and can't wait to head to their restaurant soon just to get some more of their good food.

    Excellent service and presentation. Breakfast for dignitaries visiting office. Food was plentiful and delicious.

    We had a pasta bar and everyone loved the food. Excellent caterer, the servers were so professional. We will continue to use this restaurant for any event in the future.

    Fabulous, wonder, nothing but the best! Highly recommended, and very reasonable. Willing to work with all of our requests and stay on a great budget.

    Mr. Papafil planned and prepared a '80th Birthday' party for approximately 80 people in Virginia Beach. The food was professionally prepared and had an excellent presentation. It included heavy Hors d'oeuvres with table of desserts and open bar, The table was beatifully decorated, and all guests appeared to be pleased with the selection of foods.

    October came...and my wedding was fast approaching...well...so was Hurricane Matthew. I suddenly had to flip my beautiful outdoor-estate wedding to an indoor-museum wedding...in a different city! Whatever could go wrong with this wedding...did go wrong! On the day of my wedding, 5 hours before my event, my caterer called and had to cancel. With the hurricane came flash flooding, massive power outages, and road blocks (due to flooding). They had absolutely NO WAY to get there. My mother was in tears and my bridesmaids quickly scrambled reaching out to ANYONE they knew who could provide food for 150 people...in a hurricane...unexpectedly. MY bridesmaid Jeana found Norfolk Catering Company. Lucky for me....not lucky for someone else...they had a wedding flat out get cancelled due to this hurricane! (I'm sorry beautiful bride out there that had to cancel!)
    Norfolk Catering came to the rescue and showed up 2 hours before my wedding at my venue and got to work. It was truly a miracle! Ted himself even served my new husband and I personally that night. The steak and the salmon was delicious! I loved the appetizers and heriot vers. The chicken was a little dry but I am NOOOOO way complaining. I was blessed and lucky to have had someone step in and I am forever thankful to this wonderful team. MY husband and I were married, and us, and our guests danced the night away with full bellies. Thank you so much to Norfolk Catering for making miracles happen for me and my family!

    They drive to endanger our local community

    Organizations should employ safe drivers, especially when driving is a part of the business.

    Having drivers that tailgate (especially over 50mph), and swerve through traffic, is unacceptable. Organizations should protect the local neighborhood, not employ imbeciles who endanger it with wreckless driving.

    Steer clear of this business (pun intended). In the video I captured (from what you can see) the driver tailgates at over 50mph, and then switches multiple lanes.

    Horrible. Wow. Atrocious. I have never been treated like such garbage. Often when we go out we might encounter a server who is indifferent or having a bad day. But their employee went out of their way to ensure I had a bad experience and did not get the service I paid for and the product I asked and paid for. I will be calling on Monday to speak with the owner.

    Hiring Norfolk Catering Company as our caterer was easily the worst decision we made in regards to our wedding. We were unbelievably disappointed We went with them because they seemed great- small business, family owned, say they'll take care of everything, they want the bride to be relaxed. Well, basically Norfolk Catering Company WAS the source of all my wedding stress. After our initial meeting, Ted never seemed to know who we were. He kept telling me I owed him money even after he had deposited my checks. I would have to send screenshots of the check being deposited from my online bank statement. This happened multiple times. I would wait weeks to get responses from emails and I honestly don't know if he checked emails from our coordinator. If we had not had our wedding coordinators, we would have been absolutely screwed the day of. They got there about 2pm for a 6pm ceremony, but they were supposed to help set up chairs, tables, centerpieces. Nope. They pretty much acted like since our coordinators were there, they didn't have to do anything. They even left before our coordinators that evening and didn't help break down ANYTHING. We got charged money from our venue for not having it cleaned, which Norfolk Catering Company was supposed to do. I honestly have so much more I could write, but those are just the highlights.

    TLDR; good food, horrible service, think twice unless you want to be seriously stressed out during the entire process.

    A BRIDES WORST NIGHTMARE!!!! When we first went in to meet Ted he seemed quite nice. We put down our $500 non refundable deposit, made out our menu, and it all went downhill from there. It was a constant battle trying to get a hold of him, via email AND phone calls. I should have sucked it up, lost the deposit and found another catering company. But he was the cheapest I could find that offered servers, dishes, linens and a bar tender, so we stuck with him. A MONTH BEFORE the wedding I gave him our headcount of 130 people, and we went over my entire menu again just to double check. He said everything was on schedule. I called him a week before the wedding and we went over everything one more time, and dropped of our final payment. Day of the wedding and everything went to shit... I had ordered 3 different "main" appetizers, and a cheese and fruit tray. I only got 2 main appetizers, and one was so dry it was like eating a ball of sawdust. And we ran out of sawdust balls within 20 minutes of cocktail HOUR!! The servers actually served the food to my guests for portion control I'm guessing and WE RAN OUT OF FOOD!!! I paid for 130 people, and only 122 showed up, so how the hell did that happen??? Not to mention the food that was served wasn't hot AT ALL!!! And then they waited for a tray to be empty before going back into the kitchen and getting more. So my guests were standing around waiting to get food. One of the caterers made the comment LOUD ENOUGH THAT 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE TOLD ME "the bill has been paid, so it doesn't matter" WTF IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN????? And of course they didn't clean up after themselves in the kitchen. The venu called me the next day and asked us to come back and clean, take the trash out. And to top it off... One of the caterers YELLED AT MY MOTHER!! Are you effing serious?? Yelling at the mother of the BRIDE!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!!! BIGGEST REGRET I HAVE MADE IN YEARS!!!
