Vendor deals with loose diamonds. I was referred by a coworker of mine who was recently married. Her fiance had gotten his loose diamond from them. If you are an engineer or science-minded, they have some nice guides describing the angles you'd want to look for and specifically how ideal cuts can be different. Just remember, people who deal with diamonds have a much more discerning eye. Anyway, I was still shopping around and found some diamond dropshippers. I was looking at diabroker.com and they had sent me a GIA report with the angles. It matched the specs given by niceice. But because it was my first time buying a diamond, I still had niceice look at it for a nominal fee (I think around $200-$300) which included an appraisal. It was about 3-4% of the diamond. But at least I was sure of the quality. Anyway they are of great help, don't put pressure, and don't charge sales tax! Check them out at niceice.com
