The women of Nancy's Bridal are awesome!! I tried on a dress at some high end bridal store that was "the one" but this dress was out of my price range, even with the trunk show discount(ikr). I came across Nancy's Bridal and I was a bit skeptical at first because they don't even carry the designer (La Sposa). When I walked in the young lady was full of energy and so eager to help. She insisted right away that I use her computer to show her the gown I wanted. She instantly made a phone call and while doing so I started trying on dresses they had in the store with the similar style. Not once did they try to convince me to get any of the dresses they already had she listened and understood what I wanted. A couple of days later she called me saying she would be able to get the dress and it was $600 cheaper than the high end store where I tried it on. The impressive part about it is that it was about 4 months from my wedding and I got it back in more than enough time. The alterations were superb and if I got paid for every compliment I would be rich. I recommended them to quite a few people and would do it again!!!

Anyone who thinks that the ladies who work at Nancy's Bridal are rude and unprofessional are ridiculous. First and foremost, the store is clean and organized and carries beautiful gowns. I went to many bridal stores where the dresses were thrown onto racks, to the point where I did not even care to look through them and their inventory was terrible. The owner of Nancy's is the best. She cares what her brides want, what they end up with and everything in between. Bona knows weddings and what brides want and should have. She also is so helpful and trustworthy. Bona is also one of the most talented seamstresses. Bona's employees are also wonderful ladies, who are so helpful. I would send any bride to her store. I was so lucky to have found this bridal salon before my wedding! Bona made me look beautiful for my wedding and I am thankful for her. I am a tough sell and demanded good service and classy dresses for my wedding. I promise anyone that they will be more than satisfied with their dresses that they purchase at Nancy's and with the service that comes along with it. Thank you to Nancy and her staff for everything!

I went to Nancy's after a long search to find a dress, and the first one I put on at Nancy's was the one. I found a beautiful gown and bridesmaid dresses at Nancy's. I personally didn't have any issues with Nancy's; my fittings went well and came out perfect, the service was great, and Bona (the owner) treated me like a valued customer. She knows what needs to be done, and may come off pushy in that manner, but it's strictly because she knows what's best for the bride.
My bridesmaids had some issues with their dress fittings (the dresses came in too small for all 4 of my bridesmaids). However this was the manufacturer's fault; they asked for the wrong measurements and thus made the dresses smaller than needed. Nancy's worked hard to fix this and in the end ALL of my bridesmaids looked beautiful on my wedding day.
Overall Nancy's was a great company to work with and I would suggest that any bride struggling to find that perfect dress, stop into their store and take a look around :)

I love Nancy's dress, I had been looking and looking for a dress. I went in there and the first dress I picked up was the one. They were all nice and I will refer people to them.

I know this vendor got very low reviews, but I got my wedding dress and bridemaids dresses from here and I was extremely happy. I went to most of the bridal stores in all of Oakland & Macomb county and could not find anything that I liked. I found my dress here and there was nothing like it anywhere else.

I decided to purchase my gown and bridesmaid dresses through them. They were very nice and reassuring UNTIL they got the check (as they require payment up front). After that, they were extremely rude/offensive-the owner just does not care about customer service. They will do whatever is easiest & does not care if if she is offensive & you are not happy. I think they feel the boutique has been open for so long that they do not need to try anymore.

They are not accommodating-tried to deny things they promised (i.e. unlimited alterations, price of dress, etc). Thank God I had it written on everyone receipt. The owner would rather get us upset than look at her own paperwork to verify what was agreed upon. They do not take accountability for their failure to inform you of their policies (which will change depending on who you speak with). They quickly blame YOU (the bride) or someone else for their error.

The alterations did NOT look good - they only cared about what was the fastest. Tried to divert our attention from areas they should have fixed. No attention to detail. All but one bridemaid had poor alterations. One of the seamstresses tried to tell me my bussel hung right when it clearly did not. My matron of honor had to tell her where to relocate the loops herself so it would fall correctly. The staff was always trying to get away w/ something and once they knew someone was upset, they really liked fueling the fire.

None of us were demanding or asked for anything unreasonable. The bride doesn't need that type of frustration and watch her bridesmaides go through the same thing.

My bridesmaids and my mom got there dresses from here. The dresses came out the wrong color and they didnt care. I understand dye-lots but they were supposed to be navy and came out purple. I had to yell at the seamstress 2 days before the wedding to fix my moms dress because it wasnt altered correctly. Would not recommend

While my dress was beautiful, it was over $2,000 and the service was horrible. They treated me OK, but never went above a minimum wage job effort. One lady was very very rude and blunt with a thick accent I could barely understand. She insulted one of my bridesmaids by calling her FAT, made her cry and almost drop out of the wedding party! She was also rude to another one of my bridesmaids, and criticized her for waiting to come get fitted. I do not recommend this bridal place unless you already picked out a dress and are willing to deal with hassle from employees.

I went here on a whim mostly because they were so close to my parent's house. I found a dress I loved and ordered it right away. I was between sizes and they made me order the next size up even though I explained that I absolutely knew I would lose weight. They told me my dress would be in in six months but it took nine. I went in as soon as it came in and tried it on. At this point they started questioning how much weight I had lost. I told the owner 20 pounds and she said "well don't lose anymore." I went in a few weeks later when I was shopping for bridesmaid's dresses with my future MOH and SIL and when I asked to try my dress on for them the owner said "Why? You already tried it on." She then told me that I couldn't come in every week to try it on because I would get it dirty.

When I called to try and make an appt for my first fitting I was informed that I could only come in during the day from 10a-6p. When I explained that I worked from 8:30-5:30 and wouldn't be able to get there in time she told me I should take a day off work in order to come in. I finally took my dress and had it tailored somewhere else.

With all the things you have to deal with when you're planning a wedding, these are the LAST people you want to work with.

Nancy's Bridal was one of two shops that carried my dress. Definitely had the best price. Easy to work with. Alterations were included, but none were necessary. I did have to pay for cups & the petty coat. Small snafu with the ordering of the petty coat, but all was well and perfect for the big day.

This is a really small bridal shop on VanDyke in Shelby Township. They were very nice and helpful and had a great selection of dresses. I went to tons of huge bridal stores but I finally found what I wanted here. As usual, they don't stock anything so you have to wait six months for most dresses to come in but that was okay, I had time. The only annoying thing is they only do fittings certain days at certain times, so that can be hard if you don't have a very flexible schedule. I definately didn't feel like a "princess" there - but all in all my dress came out perfect!
