Such a Spectacular Band!
Nancy Paolino and the Black Tie Band was by far fantastic! They are beyond talented! They are so kind, accommodating, professional and classy! Our guests are still raving about how amazing they were!
Nancy made sure that she played all of the important songs for us. She understood the meaning behind our special song choices such as playing the tarantella that is part of our culture. They also learned new songs that held importance to my childhood such as playing Marina, Marina which my grandparents would sing to me all of the time. So, having her sing it made me feel like they were spiritually there dancing with me. Thank you so much for playing that song for me! Their violinist was also amazing during our cocktail hour.
Nancy and her band know how to make our guests have a good time! She even joined us for a dance! Thank you so much for making our celebration so much fun! You are all amazing! -

This band MADE our wedding! Guests were up and dancing literally before dinner was even served and didn't stop until our venue closed down at midnight. Nancy was wonderful to work with even though we were somewhat last minute turning in our song choices for the first dances. She communicated with my then-fiance throughout the planning process. I can't say enough good things. -

Nancy Paloino and The Black Tie Band are absolutely the best! I first contacted Nancy on a week night around 9:30 PM, not expecting to hear back until the day after. Nancy immediately responded via email and said she was available to chat that night. From day one, I was blown away. Nancy has the sweetest demeanor and is extremely professional. She’s so easy to get along with and worked with us so that we felt comfortable and happy throughout the entire process.
Nancy understood that we were 7 hours away and was flexible in the way she conducted arranging the contracts. We made a special trip to go and see the band in Warwick and were blown away. The band had EVERYONE up and dancing the entire night. The audience was definitely an older crowd and literally everyone was so pumped to hear them play and to party the whole night. We knew as soon as they started playing that they just HAD to be our band.
Nancy made a specific point to come up and say hi to us that night- proving that she always goes above and beyond. After we booked, we saw them play again at Easton’s beach one night and everyone who came with us agreed that they were phenomenal. Again, they had EVERYONE up and dancing. It was so fun!
Nancy chatted with us several times and helped make recommendations for songs. We walked down the aisle to acoustic guitar and vocals of The Beatles “I Will” and I still get chills thinking about it. It was absolutely perfect! Nancy also set up a microphone outside for us to use during the ceremony.
Nancy did a great job keeping things moving during the day and even took special requests from our guests. Absolutely everyone commented on how wonderful they sounded, how they kept the party going, and how nice and friendly the entire band was. From the time they played “Sweet Caroline” and had my 92 year-old Great Aunt up on the dance floor, to the last song “500 Miles” everyone was up and having an absolute blast!
I’m so grateful for Nancy and all members of TBTB! -

Nancy Paolino and the Black Tie Band were the heart and soul of our wedding. All of the guests had a blast at our wedding and they were the key. My best friend told me the following day that his “feet needed to be amputated” from dancing so much because every time he went to take a rest another great song would come on.
Basics: We hired the band for 4 hours, added a 5th hour, added an extra band member (John LeClaire on sax) and booked the pianist for our cocktail hour. Worth. Every. Penny.
Pre-Wedding: I communicated back and forth with Nancy for months and months leading up to the wedding. I have an anxious, indecisive and overall neurotic personality and peppered her with a lot of questions. She couldn’t have been more awesome to deal with. She was one of the nicest people I’ve ever done business with and assured me repeatedly to ask her anything, no matter how stupid I thought it was. She was incredibly responsive, professional and gave great input which I valued (no doubt stemming from her years of experience). I even asked if I could change our first dance song 2 weeks prior and she graciously agreed without batting an eye. THEN during our wedding, she went ahead and sang BOTH our original request and our new request. Now I feel like we have two special songs.
Wedding: Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Seeing them play at Camille’s turned out to be only a small taste of what we were in for as they were slightly more understated to adhere to the restaurant’s atmosphere. We had high expectations but they wow-ed us completely. We danced our hearts out. The dance floor was on fire the entire night. There was a dance circle with guests taking turns in the middle PRE-dinner. PRE-DINNER!! A few more dance circle’s, several dance-offs and two conga lines later and guests were exhausted, happy and raving about "the band" for days to come.
In Conclusion: If you want your wedding to rock book them - I promise, you will not be sorry. -

We hired Nancy Paolino and the Black Tie Band to play at our daughter's wedding reception at Linden Place in Bristol, RI on August 16, 2014. They are an awesome band, and all of our guests were dancing from the first song through the last song. I can honestly say 90% of our guests danced all night long, and the dance floor was never empty, or even half full, but completely full and jam packed. They played music from the 60's through the present, and their playlist appealed to our guests who are in their 20's through 60's. Even my 84-year old mother danced! We met with Nancy about 6 weeks before the wedding to go over the playlist, but we were not rigid. We gave her a Do Not Play list, and a list of songs we like, but we told her to use her best judgment and play whatever she thinks our guests would like. They are superior at reading the audience, and knowing what will get the guests dancing. If my younger daughter gets married, I will definitely hire Nancy and the BTB. I recommend them without reservation! -

Before we were even engaged, we heard nancy and the black tie band play at a local restaurant, and we knew that we wanted to hire them for our wedding one day. Once we got engaged, we hired them immediately, and do not have one regret with that decision. Nancy has such a beautiful voice(as do the other members) and they have such a versatile playlist. They had so many people on the dance floor for the bulk of the night, people who I never imagined dancing. In addition, nancy was very easy to work with, very prompt in answering questions, accommodating, and such a sweetheart. -

Like everyone else has said, Nancy Paolino & the BTB are awesome! They are great at reading a room and choosing perfect songs for the crowd. They had friends of ours dancing who I’ve never seen dancing at any event before. We’re so happy we paid for a band instead of cheaping out with a DJ; it was well worth the cost! -

Nancy and the whole band was wonderful! All of our guests had a great evening from start to finish and most important my husband and I had the best night of our life in large part to Nancy! The ceremony music that they provided was wonderful and they helped both of us work in very special surprises- they are great!! -

Once again, I am happy to report that my Music was the best decision I could have made. Having a large wedding I was concerned that the Band would not be big enough. I hired 7 band members per Nancy's suggestion and it was completely awesome. Blithewold has some noise restricitions but Nancy knew exactly what to play and when. Also, she followed my play list to my exact specifications and added some great pics of her own. Everyone was dancing all night. She is beatutiful and unbeleiveable to work with. My parents were also thrilled which was very important to me too. -

Nancy was easy to work with, came highly recommeded and filled every request and expectation!
She was able to add a sax/ horn player within 36 hours of the wedding (we hadn't been able to decide until then) and was able to make everything seem very personal with minimal direction (I had wanted to plan out a recommended playlist and never had time, but after speaking with her for ~20 minutes the day before the wedding, they played all our favorite tunes as it we had planned it ourselves!) The quality is also amazing - this band is very versatile and super fun to dance to. They had family out on the dance floor after dinner and the younger crowd out all night. I highly recommend them! Best band I've ever heard at a wedding. -

This band is exceptional. I have attended several wedding receptions at which they performed and knew I had to hire them for my own if I could. I was lucky enough to work with them and I can safely say they made our night. Hire them if you can.
They have a long playlist and perform so well. They pride themselves on reading crowds and inspiring dance, and they do that without exception. Of all the compliments I received on our reception, the highest praise was reserved for them. Their talent, energy and professionalism make them second to none. Hiring them was my one "must have" for the entire day and the one thing I knew without doubt I would never regret. I could write pages about how impressive they are, but I won't. BEST BAND EVER!!! If I had one vender to choose to recommend to people this would be it (and I loved all my vendors)--I cannot overemphasize how great they were. Basically everyone at the wedding said they were the best wedding band they had ever heard. They know such a variety of songs and have such great voices. Most importantly, they know how to read a crowd. Prior, we circled the songs on the list that we liked, but the night of, they had no playlist whatsoever (Nancy says they prefer to read the crowd themselves and do what they find best--rather than work with a playlist that may not work with the mood of the crowd). The music during dinner was great---people were already talking about how good they were before dinner was over---and after dinner ended, the dance for was packed the entire night. Every song that came on, you could hear people yell "this is my favorite song ever." Nancy had a great way of engaging the crowd but also being totally in the background, so you didnt feel she was part of a cheesy, overbearing wedding band. If you are getting married in Rhode Island or anywhere close, USE THEM!!! -

Nancy and the band were SO GREAT! I was a little nervous choosing a band I found online, but we went to see them play at a few clubs, and then started hearing word of mouth reviews... they're really just so great and fun! Everyone was dancing all night. Even during dinner someone at our table commented "wow. i could listen to her voice all day. She should be the voice of voicemail and elevators!" haha. But really they are talented musicians (of course) which a huge repertoire. I was a little nervous that a band might not be able to play as much fun/new music as a DJ, to keep people dancing- but that was really no issue. I've already gotten a ton of compliments. I can't recommend them enough! -
