The best decision you will make is to hire Dan!

Dan was an incredible from the beginning of the process to the very last song. He was caring, patient, and a great listener on our original call. He was very accommodating and responsive to us. We had a last minute change due to rain on our wedding day, and Dan led the charge, making it seamless to change our original plans. We had a violinist, as well as a singer and guitarist - and he was able to work directly with them on the technology he needed. Dan worked so well with our team of vendors, and with us. We highly recommend Dan to anyone looking for a DJ for any event. We can't wait to use him again in the future!

Hire Immediately!

I cannot find the words to express how awesome my experience was with Dan’s company. Dan and Marianne were stunning on piano and cello for our ceremony. It was absolutely magical. And Jeremy ROCKED THE HOUSE for our reception! It was classy and fun and unforgettable! Jeremy made my life as a bride planning a wedding so easy, and really helped guide the timeline planning. He really was a saving grace in the last few weeks when I was so overwhelmed with last minute wedding planning details. I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

Musical DJs will get - and keep - the party going!

We had an excellent experience with Musical DJs, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an attentive, professional DJ for their wedding. We worked with Dan, the owner of the company, who spent a lot of time fielding requests from us and personalizing our wedding and especially our ceremony music. He really went above and beyond. He got everyone, from my teenage cousin to my grandma out on the dance floor, and I'm sure he will do the same for you!

A dream to work with!

Dan was everything my husband and I could have dreamed of for our wedding DJ! Dan took the time to meet with us multiple times, help us visualize, structure, and carry out our big day! Dan was extremely kind and open minded making sure our vision came to life all while providing his professional expertise. The client always came first for him which was truly a breath of fresh air. My husband and I keep getting compliments on how smoothly our wedding timeline went and how wonderful and fun the music selection was. Simply amazing and everything we asked for!

I am never someone who writes reviews but I feel totally obligated to do so after working with Dan for our wedding. He was simply amazing - super professional, kind, and understood everything we requested for our event. I had countless people come to me and express what a great job he did and how they wished they used him for their wedding. DJ Services

Dan was the best! He was very responsive throughout the wedding planning process and was so easy to work with. He provided a music planning site to fill out during planning that I was so impressed with. It is such an organized way to have all the music details, timeline info, and other notes in one spot. Dan also coordinated live music for a portion of our wedding and it was beautiful! He helped our wedding go smoothly and made sure all of our music and details throughout the day were perfect!

Our wedding was the third wedding Freddie has done for our family! Freddie will make sure to play what you want while giving you some great suggestions. He is attentive to your requests and needs and makes sure he knows your vision for your wedding and makes sure he does everything he can to bring it to fruition. He is one of the best MC DJS I have seen or heard as he makes sure to make everything exciting and captivating. Dj freddie b!

DJ FREDDIE B! His work was phenomenal! We had 2 cultures (Latino/Ethiopian) integrated in one wedding and Freddie was able to balance both! He made things personal for us. Made the wedding night so much fun!

DJ Freddie B is awesome! Highly recommend Musical DJs and DJ Freddie B!

Musical DJs is amazing, especially our DJ/MC DJ Freddie B. We 100% recommend them to DJ/MC your event. I sought him out after a friend used him as their wedding DJ and knew we just had to have him be our DJ/MC. Here are many if the reasons to choose Musical DJs/DJ Freddie B for your event:

DJ Freddie B has a cheerful and positive attitude. He has a talent of getting everyone out on the dance floor feeling included all night long. At our wedding reception, DJ Freddie B played amazing music and had an excellent talent for transitioning songs and his amazing ability to read the dance floor and adjust accordingly. All of our guests enjoyed the music and we received many complements about DJ Freddie B.

In our inital meeting with Musical DJs in early 2020, Dan scheduled a call with my now husband and I. On the phone Dan was super professional and explained all of the various options. We soon after signed a contract with Musical DJs. Next thing you know, the pandemic hit. Then our original venue decided to close for almost a whole year. Of course I was panicking. Dan and DJ Freddie B were very professional and kind and modified the contract for our new date in 2021 and to reflect the requested changes. With all of the uncertainty, they were a stability that was much needed. Before the wedding, DJ Freddie B met with us on multiple occasions and offered amazing suggestions on song choices if we wanted them and various events that could occur at the wedding. We were confident with him going into the event night that everything would be perfect.

Fast forward to the wedding/reception, the night could not have gone any more smoothly and we received positive feedback from multiple guests on how great our DJ/MC was. Every age in attendance had a wonderful time. Freddie B was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure everyone knew what to expect next, making sure that those giving speeches knew the best places to stand when speaking, informing our guests during various tosses/dances, and accommodated requests from our guests when appropriate. I could not say enough great things about DJ Freddie B and Musical DJs. Dj Freddie B made everyone feel welcome and had the most positive and friendly attitude. We highly recommend them to DJ your event.

Fabulous! Highly Recommend

Dan DJ'ed my wedding and was absolutely fabulous. He was super easy to work with when planning the event, and his website was very easy to use. He also had lists of recommendations of songs for each part of the wedding (including open dancing) which was super helpful. The wedding itself went very smoothly, and he played music that fit the crowd on the dance floor (and got people up and dancing). We highly recommend Dan!!

Fun and Responsive DJ

DJ Dan was great. He had good communication with us all through the planning process. Dan had an easy to use forum to put in all our song requests and was able to play all our songs. Our guests had a great time dancing the night away. His sound equipment worked well for the ceremony and the toasts. The uplighting really made our tent look romantic. We enjoyed our experience with DJ Dan would recommend him to everyone.

Great Vendor and Very Professional, Highly recommended

I highly recommend Musical DJs and Event Lighting. They provided both our ceremony musicians and DJ entertainment. Their online platform to request music was easy to use and my husband and I had an amazing time at both of our weddings. Due to covid, we had a small legal ceremony in 2020 and our larger vow renewal/party/reception in 2021.

Both our DJ Matt and our coordinator Dan were easy to get in touch with and were very accommodating, especially with everything that is going on currently.

Additionally, it was easy for us to add on ceremony musicians again for our one year vow renewal/reception/party since they did such a great job at our smaller Covid October 2020 wedding.

I’m so happy that we hired Musical DJs, and should the time ever come for yet another vow renewal, I would not hesitate to hire them on again. Well done and thank you!

Vibe Check was Immaculate!

Jafaar made sure that our event dance floor was fun at all hours of the night. He played songs for my grandma and the older crowd at the beginning of the night and smoothly transitioned to music more current. Hire Musical DJ’s and you won't be disappointed!

Dj with a flair!

Jaafar Ouardi is such an amazing Dj! Sometimes Djs don’t read the room and will continue playing songs in their entirety, even though the dance floor is empty, when it was full a minute ago. Jaafar not only read the room but he was also an excellent MC. Hiring the best Dj is so important for a wedding or event, as the personality and experience of the Dj can either make or break the event. Jaafar totally made this party and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him! As it is, I can’t wait to work with him again!

Freddie B is the GOAT of all DJs🐐

Freddie B was the DJ at a family member’s wedding and we immediately knew that he needed to be the DJ for our wedding. From the get go he treated us like family and nailed everything you could ever ask for as our DJ. He was always extremely responsive and professional leading up to and on the day of our wedding. He took the time to meet with us several times to make sure our game plan was exactly how wanted it to be. We wanted our wedding to be a big party and Freddie B set the tone for it to be exactly that. Everyone was on the dance floor all night long and we were told by several people that he was the best DJ they’ve ever seen at a wedding. Could not recommend him more! 💜🐐

Beyond Incredible

I cannot even begin to give Freddie enough praise and thanks for making my wedding day incredible. His infectious energy and excitement for life made working with him a dream and took my wedding from great to fantastic. He has a phenomenal announcing voice and an ability to get people onto the dance floor and keep them there. A friend of mine told my mother my wedding was the most fun wedding he’d ever been to; I attribute that entirely to Freddie and the amazing vibes he creates!

The planning part was just as great as the actual DJing. He is meticulous, caring, and bent over backwards to accommodate us. He asked questions I didn’t even think about, which gave us ideas for our wedding. I gave him songs in playlists we really like. From that, he created the perfect wedding song list based on our likes and dislikes. Not only did we love the song selections but he was able to select songs that were enjoyable across multiple generations.His true talent for reading the guests keeps them on the dance floor and ensuring they stay until the very end.

You can tell he loves what he does and DJs because he is passionate about it. I absolutely recommend him 1000 times over.

Guests cannot stop raving!

DJ JEREMY WAS PERFECT!!! If you are looking to have an absolute wild dance party, and need someone fun yet professional to keep the whole day on track, he is your guy. Music was one of the most important elements to us, as we have very specific tastes and knew we wanted the dance floor to be bumping the entire time. Jeremy had several phone calls with me to discuss our vision, and we ended up just chatting for a while about shows, XM radio stations, music festivals -- I truly felt like he would deliver the party we were hoping for, and I had the utmost confidence in him. Jeremy 100 percent delivered -- every single guest I've spoken to said the reception was the most memorable and most fun wedding they've ever been to. We had a BLAST - I literally did not leave the dance floor once. Every aspect of working with Musical DJs was awesome and seamless, from the online planning tools (you can select songs for Must Play, Do Not Play, Play If Possible, etc.) to the communication with the owner, Dan. Jeremy's timeline was also super detailed and he made all of our specific requests happen, like playing a special song for us at the exact right moment when I walked down the aisle. He rolled with the punches, made the ceremony run smoothly, and created one hell of a party. Can't recommend enough. THANK YOU!!!!!

Our day simply would not have been the same without DJ Freddie B! He is such an amazing DJ & has become a close family friend all while DJing all our weddings. Freddie B is wonderful with taking your wedding music vision and turning it into a reality. He happily accommodates your specific requests, and if you aren't really sure how to plan out your music, he is the ultimate guide in helping you create that plan! So many of my guests told my husband and I that they had never danced at a wedding as much as they did ours and that the music was so good they felt like they wanted to keep dancing on their way home after the wedding. Great experience!

We had such a great experience using Musical DJs from our first conversations with Dan to having to postpone due to Covid to working with DJ Jeremy James. Dan was very helpful when we were initially looking. I can't say how nice it was to have a company that was so helpful/flexible when we had to postpone our wedding. Finally, DJ Jeremy James was AMAZING! He worked with us ahead of time on our wedding timeline and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. He was super helpful in incorporating a few last minute requests as well. We can't say enough about how great this company is and how great DJ Jeremy James was to work with.

Fabulous DJ

Musical DJ and Event Lighting were great to work with. I met Dan the owner at Piedmont CC Open house and instantly knew that I wanted to use them for our wedding. We booked with Jeremy after hearing amazing reviews! They were easy to work with customizing our wedding to meet our needs and included various discounts. We are so glad we opted to have up-lights to help set the mood for the reception. We had to postpone our wedding twice but they were flexible, understanding and ultimately made our small wedding a great night! I can’t thank Jeremy enough for DJ our wedding and making it a night to remember. I highly recommend them for any DJ services.

Way More than just a Wedding DJ

Dan is worth more than just an hourly rate. He’s truly value added to an event, who’s capable on many different fronts to bring entertainment.
His expertise began with the planning, as he was attentive to specifics of music styles requested, and songs available for key moments in the event. He has a vast musical knowledge and ability to help plan an event that is uniquely yours.
In working with us for our wedding, he functioned as a keyboardist during the service and during the cocktail hour. He’s an exceptional player in his own right, even if he stopped there and wasn’t also functioning as a DJ. As a DJ, he provided more than just the capacity to play through the playlist he meticulously planned with you prior to the event, and he worked the mic to maintain a great atmosphere within the reception. He became a true entertainer, and not just someone in the background to push a play button.
I’d recommend Dan to anyone in the NOVA area, 10 times out of 9.

Best dj ever!

We hired Musical DJs (Dan) for our wedding and we could not have been more happy with the service they provided. Not only did Dan DJ our event, but he went above and beyond to ensure that all the details were thought about and were exactly what Shelby and I wanted for our special day. For example, Dan spent over an hour on the phone with me crafting a very detailed timeline to send to our day-of-coordinator, helped me understand the logistics for the ceremony while also providing recommendations that would help us. In addition to this, on the actual day of the wedding, we encountered some heavy wind gusts and Dan not only was not only ready to take on the challenge, but he brought additional equipment to ensure that our sound quality was great outside and also was able to go with the flow as our event moved faster than we thought and he made it so seamless that we thought everything was going with the original plan. I would recommend Dan and Musical DJs to anyone looking for a DJ/Host for their next event. Couldn't have asked for a better DJ!!!!

Wonderful Experience!

We had such a wonderful experience with Musical DJs and Event Lighting. DJ Freddie B. was absolutely wonderful! He met with us before our wedding to go through the timeline and put all our worries to ease. The music he helped us choose for the wedding ceremony was beautiful, and he gave us a lot of good recommendations for the reception. During the reception, he kept the party going with great music and getting people to dance! We didn’t think our crowd would be interested in dancing as much, but DJ Freddie B. got people moving and I know everyone had a great night. Because of COVID, he made everyone feel so comfortable and encouraged dancing throughout the venue and outside. Perfect Vibe

We worked with Dan from Musical DJs and Event Lighting and he was so incredibly easy to work with. Dan was so helpful and accommodating when we had to move our wedding from May to August. When we had to continue with our wedding in August due to the state being open, Dan helped make sure all our music hopes went off perfectly. We payed extra for Dan to play piano for the ceremony which was so beautiful and perfect for our location and vibe. Dan also made sure to hit all our song highlights for our reception and even helped us deliver a song surprise for a family member. He was great at working with COVID requirements, coming up with a cool 'text the DJ' option for song requests. Dan is not only very professional, but a musician himself, so he really helped us think through our playlist and helped us have a perfect event!

DJ Freddie B!!!!

Our wedding was last October and I can’t even begin to describe how much everyone enjoyed DJ Freddie B! Not only did he bring the party to the reception but he is the most easy going, considerate, and bubbly vendor which made working with him easy breezy. Freddie was also SO accommodating to our requests and provided really great recommendations including song choices, placement in the venue, and most importantly he made sure we were comfortable. My dad also wanted to keep our first dance song a secret, and Freddie did not spill the beans which shows what a loyal friend he is! Simply the best!

We had the pleasure of having DJ Freddie B as our emcee and DJ for our wedding last November and we could not be happier with how everything went! Not only was Freddie super responsive and collaborative leading up to the big day, but he is also just the sweetest person who really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted our wedding day to look like. Our venue was not the most organized so having Freddie there seriously saved us - we had gone over a detailed schedule of events and he stuck to it with ease, guiding us and our guests through the evening. Freddie was also super fun in his music choices and in getting people out on the dance floor to have a good time - everyone commented about how great he was. Great experience

DJ Freddie was the best! His energy was unmatched and he kept people dancing the whole night. He was incredible to work with before the event, and everything was so well planned out. Almost a year later, family and friends continue to tell us how impressed they were by DJ Freddie. We cannot recommend him and Musical DJs & Event Lighting enough!

Fantastic DJ

Dan was our DJ and he was amazing! Our guest list got cut due to COVID-19 but Dan was will able to provide a fun night for my close friends and family members. He took requests from our guests and did a great job facilitating the different events at the reception such as the bouquet toss and cake cutting. He arrived early to set up and provided great lighting for our dance floor

Top Notch DJ and Lighting

DJ Freddie was amazing! With COVID going on he made it clear to all of our guests that the venue was their dance floor. Everyone had an amazing time and felt like they could have fun anywhere they felt comfortable. The lighting added to the elegance of the venue and the experience my fiance and I were looking for. DJ Freddie will be a lifelong friend, he really helped to make the party what it was and brought the energy to the dance floor. DJ Freddie helped to bring our vision to life. Highly recommend this company and DJ Freddie specifically.

From the moment I first spoke with Dan I knew he was the DJ we needed to hire for our wedding. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and responsive which was very important as we only had a couple of weeks to plan our entire wedding. Dan was wonderful with answering all of my questions, provided great recommendations, and really put my mind at ease during each of our check-in calls. The online event planning system was so helpful and easy to use when creating the reception timeline and documenting our song requests for the ceremony and reception. On our wedding day, Dan was on time, professional, full of energy, and made our reception a blast. He played the perfect songs at the right times so the dance floor was never empty. absolutely wonderful!

Jeremy was phenomenal! My now husband and I had really no idea what we were doing and Jeremy was so patient with us and helped us pick the perfect songs. Everything happened on time, he hit all of the cues and did a fantastic job announcing. He made our special day run so smoothly and we couldn’t have been happier with him. He also helped us capture a wonderful picture of my husband and I was all of our guest at the end which we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise, so far it is my very favorite picture from our wedding day. Dan is the Man!

Dan of Musical DJ's was a true pleasure to work with. From first booking, to our many check-in calls, to his performance on our wedding day, it was all top notch service. Dan is a professional musician and knows his craft well. We had a bagpiper for our processional and recessional and Dan worked with him to make sure all was on track. He did just the right amount of talking/emceeing. He played the perfect songs. At one point I went and asked him what to do because the dance-floor was so packed that people were spilling over into the seating area, haha... it was a good problem to have! My father was particularly impressed with Dan. Thanks, Dan!

DJ Freddie B is the best DJ!

We had the most amazing experience with Musical DJs . Initial conversations with Dan were very thorough and he was extremely responsive. We had requested DJ Freddie B based on a recommendation from a family member and I am so glad we did. DJ Freddie delivered! He had everyone out on the dance floor all night. His energy really sets the tone for the night and he even joined us out on the dance floor for a few songs. We still have people coming up to us saying how awesome the music was. I would highly recommend!

Best dj ever!

Dan Lamaestra was totally incredible! I can not begin to thank "Dan" for a wonderful job he did at my daughters wedding. Things went so smooth and he was right there making sure we were happy though out the night. The music was great I don't think anyone sat down the whole night.

An excellent DJ experience!

Musical DJs was a perfect fit for us and our wedding needs; at the very beginning we had a long and informative phone call with Dan Lamaestra, the owner, about the details of our event and its special requirements (having lots of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing guests, as well as a live band to coordinate with for the ceremony and cocktail hour), which went very smoothly. From that point forward it was one seamless transition after another, from the easy-to-use song selection tool to meeting our actual DJ, Jeremy, who was excellent and worked great with our day-of coordinator. The uplighting, for our Deaf and hearing guests alike, was a big plus. We would recommend Musical DJs without hesitation!

High Level Professionalism with Personal Touch!

We couldn't be happier that we decided to go with Dan and Musical DJs & Event Lighting. From the moment when I submitted a request for information to the end of our wedding reception he was extremely professional while being friendly and very helpful. He was full of recommendations and suggestions before the event. We LOVED working with DJ Freddie B!!!

We originally decided to go with Musical Djs because they were able to check our boxes without breaking the bank, and because we felt so comfortable talking to Dan when we had our initial consultation. He was very thorough and explained everything to us right from the very beginning. When we found out we had been assigned Freddie as our DJ we were so excited as we had seen all of his rave reviews online...and he proved to live up to all of the hype! Freddie not only was our DJ but was an integral part of our day. He went above and beyond any of our expectations for an MC/DJ. He met with us and took note of not just our music tastes but who we are as a couple. He took every idea we had and made sure it happened...and not only that but was able to give us several awesome ideas we hadn't thought of! He planned everything out from start to finish and met every single one of our requests and more.
Not only did he play amazing music and prove to be an awesome DJ/MC but he took us into his life personally, getting to know us and our families and keeping up with us even after the wedding.
We absolutely LOVED working with Freddie B. And would recommend him and Dan and all of Musical DJ's to anyone for any occasion!

Freddie B!

Our DJ Freddie B is the main reason our wedding went so smoothly and was so much fun! He is a true professional who knows how to engage the crowd, coordinate speeches and soundtracks, and keep the party going! Freddie planned out the night by the minute with us and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted. He suggested the perfect songs for us when we needed advice and came up with some great intros and transitions, keeping the party alive all night! He took initiative to coordinate with the venue staff, photographers, videographer, and guests to make sure everyone had everything they needed. Freddie is a true friend after booking him for two events and genuinely wants the best for his clients. I wouldn’t go with another DJ in the NOVA area.

Dj freddie b!

My wife and I would highly recommend Musical DJ’s, especially our DJ/MC, Freddie B. We had our initial communication with Dan, who was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to and provided us with detailed information about their services. He was very professional and answered all our questions and concerns in a timely fashion.
BUT MY MAN FREDDIE B! DJ Freddie is without a doubt the best DJ you can have at your wedding. From our first planning meeting to the last, he went above and beyond to make sure our special day was perfect. He was incredibly detailed and organized through each planning session and shared in our vision for our wedding day.
Freddie helped organize and gather our guests to take individual photos with us so that they could have an everlasting memory. He worked well with us to create a detailed timeline but was also able to find us pockets of time, so we could enjoy our guests’ company. Freddie also gave pep talks to members of the bridal party to calm and nerves before their speeches! He also did a fantastic job of transitioning to different parts of our ceremony/reception and making sure all our guests were on the same page.
Once all the speeches and dances were done, Freddie got the dance floor pumping! Based off our planning sessions, he knew exactly which songs and what style of music we wanted, and he did not disappoint! The dance floor was absolutely on fire. After the wedding, all our guests were raving about what a fantastic job he did.
We are so grateful for the excellent service Freddie provided on our big day. He truly made it a night to remember. He was incredibly passionate about his art and did everything within his power to make sure the day went smoothly. Bottom line, if you are looking for a DJ, Freddie B is your guy. Period.

Saved our wedding!

There are truly no words to describe DJ Freddy! He was the most caring, genuine, fun, and energetic person to work with ever!

To start, we received some pretty frustrating news just two days before our wedding that our previous DJ who we booked through a different company (1.5 years before) cancelled. Understandably frantic, our amazing wedding coordinator at Bluemont Vineyard was thankfully able to locate and recommend DJ Freddy. Naturally we had our hesitations because we had never spoken to DJ Freddy. We did not know much about him and he did not know much about us either. Just a few hours after we learned about our cancellation, DJ Freddy reached out to us. It felt like a miracle because the instant he started talking, a huge weight left our shoulders. His energy, enthusiasm, and constant verbal reassurance was so genuine. We could literally feel his personality and excitement through the phone. He maintained consistent contact with us throughout the next couple days leading up to the wedding. He was so organized and efficient, making sure every tiny detail was addressed. He incorporated various unique small (and large) requests we had in mind to surprise our guests. He also offered various suggestions to our existing timeline which were VERY helpful. His ample DJ experience was definitely evident! In a matter of just 48 hours we completely trusted this incredible stranger to run our wedding. This “stranger” was the best thing that could have happened! THroughout the night DJ Freddy checked in on us to make sure we were okay, along with updating as we were moving through the timeline. His ability to get literally all 180 guests on the dancefloor was mind blowing but not surprising at all. His energy translated to all of our guests instantaneously. Not a single person left the venue without a smile and a sweaty dress/suit. He gave us his word that our night would be incredible and he surpassed our expectations!

If there is ever a time again in our lives that we need a DJ, we will definitely be calling him up. But in the meantime, we will just recommend and highly encourage others to hire Freddy!
We are forever grateful that Freddy was our DJ and would not have had it any other way! Everything really does happen for a reason. His devotion to us was undeniable and we will always have a special place in our hearts for him.

Dj freddie b is the best!

I would highly recommend Musical DJs and event lighting. From my first phone call with Dan, the owner of the company, to my last phone call with our DJ Freddie B, my experience was fantastic. They were thorough and accommodating with scheduling calls. When I told Dan we were having a fusion wedding he recommended Freddie B hosting our event. With all the planning I'd been doing I was just happy to have a DJ booked! Our first phone call with Freddie was more than pleasant! His high energy and kind spirit was evident. He had endless song suggestions and he set our final timeline for the day! He worked with my vision and accommodated us completely. The day of the event Freddie outshined EVERYONE including our event coordinator. He was with us through photos and ran through the rain to get things we forgot. He remembered everyone's names and was a friend the entire day! He kept us on schedule and partied with us! Every guest complimented him when they left for the evening. After our wedding we were asked for his information from multiple guests I gladly passed it along. This man was the real deal and went above and beyond his job description! Dj freddie b is amazing!

Freddie treats you like family and really values what you as a couple want the most. We were a really easy going couple and he helped us choose songs when we were really unsure. Musical DJ's and DJ Jeremy James killed it!

My husband and I are so happy that we found Musical DJs! From the very start, Dan was SUPER responsive and helpful! He recommended DJ Jeremy James for our wedding and it was a perfect match. Before our wedding, Jeremy met with us and went over all the details to make sure our big day went exactly as we dreamed it. He had excellent recommendations when we weren't sure about something and was super flexible with the inevitable last-minute changes. The online planning tools they offer made it so easy to communicate music choices without sending tons of emails back and forth.

On the day of our wedding, Jeremy made sure everything went off without a hitch. His music choices and great personality kept the energy up and people on the dance floor all night. We are so grateful to Jeremy and Musical DJ's for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect!

Wonderful Experience

We had Freddie B Dj our wedding and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better Dj! We have received so many compliments on the music and MCing that he did. He had a lot of music to cover- from salsa, to polkas, OSU fight song, to regular dance music and he did a fabulous job. Our dance floor was never empty. He read the crowd perfectly! Let me just start by saying, DJ FREDDIE B. IS AWESOME!!! Picking the right DJ was ESSENTIAL when planning our wedding and we got it right with DJ Freddie B! My husband and I had been to many weddings where you hear the same music and/or Top 40 hits and wanted to find a DJ who is flexible and can work with our style of music. After our initial conversation, I knew Freddie could give us exactly what we wanted and more! Not only did he emcee the entire event and keep the dance floor packed all night with his great song choices and upbeat/contagious energy, he communicated with all of my vendors to ensure our timeline didn’t get thrown off when the inevitable “bump in the road” took place before the ceremony even started. Freddie B was awesome!!! I would HIGHLY recommend him! From before the wedding day, to the big day, he was on top of it and honestly the biggest reason as to why our wedding day was so perfect! Freddie met with us at our wedding location (backyard wedding) a few times prior to brainstorm/finalize our timeline for the day and to make sure everyone was on the same page. He was experienced, energetic, knowledgeable, passionate - and it showed! I still have people telling me how much they loved him =) Not only was he the best DJ, but MC too(!!), which was very important to us because we wanted to make sure we hired someone that was interactive and good at reading the crowd. He was all the above and really did keep the party rockin' all night long and helped tremendously with keeping the timeline going smoothly. I couldn't have had a better experience and will always have a special place in my heart for Freddie B!

Our initial point of contact was Dan, which was great too! He was informative and patient with me, as I was a mess and modified our contract a million times. For the ceremony we had piano, cello and a vocalist, and Dan helped with song recommendations and was super helpful since I had no idea what I was doing.

These DJs know exactly what they're doing, down to the beats per minute! They were very knowledgeable, accessible, and professional right from the start. DJ Jeremy James played the songs I requested at the right times for ceremony and reception and made them flow so smoothly and effortlessly. He was also great at making announcements and being flexible with the timing of things during the actual wedding (because some things take longer than you think they will!). I highly recommend this DJ service - very friendly and kind people to work with!

Freddie was amazing! From the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception best wedding ever. From the moment the wedding party was introduced the dance floor was packed. He provided a fantastic mix of music to keep all generations on the dance floor. We did a mother daughter/dance and Freddie suggested starting with a slow song moving into an upbeat song to set the tone of the party! Everyone is still saying what a fun wedding it was! Dan and the Musical DJs team put on an excellent and very professional effort in support of our wedding in June of 2018. Their detail oriented and personable approach to helping us leading up to our big day was invaluable. When a scheduling conflict arose with our planned DJ a few months out, Dan himself stepped in and DJ’d our event. Some of the ways Dan and his team helped plan our event included numerous planning calls to cover details, utilizing their user friendly planning portal, and direct coordination with our wedding planner in the final week of preparations.

Equally as important, Dan and his team handled everything the day off from the DJ’s perspective including use of wireless LED lights for our up lights, changing the colors throughout the night wirelessly. Dan also interacted with the catering staff and the photographers to make sure all were in sync. This was in addition to playing the songs we requested and keeping the dance floor energy up. For anyone considering Musical DJ’s for their event, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had the pleasure of having Musical DJs entertain our guests for our wedding! We were fortunate enough to have BOTH Dan LaMaestra and DJ Freddie B at our wedding.

Dan is a great pianist who entertained our guests during cocktail hour and dinner, while DJ Freddie B amped up the crowd and took care of both the ceremony and reception music.

Dan was our first point of contact and he was awesome with his communication throughout the entire process. He was great coordinating all of our wedding needs and even gave us some discounts to help us with our wedding budget. Towards the end of our wedding, we even found out that Dan had thrown in some extra lights for us that put a great design on the ceiling of our ballroom.

DJ Freddie B has got to be the BEST DJ in the world. He is right there with you from the planning process, to the actual ceremony, all the way to the end of your "best day ever". Freddie is not only a great DJ, but he is also an awesome person with a big heart. He went above and beyond for us on our special day, from being flexible with equipment setup during location changes due to the weather, to getting to know all of our family (yes, even our non-english speaking family members had fun talking with him), and he even gave our Maid of Honor a pep talk to help her get over her jitters before her speech! Freddie did an amazing job helping MC every single detail that we needed done to ensure we had a smooth wedding. Please take our word when we say that you cannot go wrong by booking DJ Freddie B. He takes his work seriously, and he makes it his mission to make sure that your day is the best he can make it.

Words can't even begin to describe how phenomenal DJ Freddie B was for our wedding on May 12th. The initial contracting couldn't have been made any easier by Dan, with Musical DJ's, and you are guaranteed the specific DJ that you requested from day one! I was personally referred to Freddie from a friend who used him years prior for her wedding, with raving reviews, and he didn't just live up to the reviews, he blew it out of the water!! He was so accommodating during the entire process, I had many different questions and concerns along the way, but he was always right there for myself and my husband, and he was always available!
I was a little concerned at the age difference of my crowds at the wedding, but he kept the dance floor packed all night long! He made the best selections for guests of all ages, we are still getting compliments on Freddie and we are over 2 weeks out!
They say that your DJ really runs the event for you, and he didn't miss a beat, from the ceremony/cocktail hour to last dance and the grand exit, he is truly THE best! I highly recommend Freddie and Musical DJ's for any events that you may need.

I originally spoke with Dan, who made The contracting phase easy! We met Freddie prior to signing the contract as it was important to us to know who our DJ was going to be prior. Freddie is frankly a rockstar! He listened to what we wanted, and had extremely helpful suggestions throughout the process. All of his suggestions were ones that brought value and fun to our event. They will not bring a problem to you without several possible solutions. They are fiercely passionate about what they do and will do everything they can to make your day exactly what you want. In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding Dan was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns. I felt very comfortable discussing the different services his company offered without feeling like he was ever trying to up-sell me. As the wedding approached, we felt confident that we were getting exactly what we wanted for a price that fit within our budget. Our DJ, Freddie, came highly recommended from both Dan and our venue (Piedmont Club). Freddie was passionate, friendly, and upbeat. DJ Jeremy did a great job at our wedding! We met him a month or so beforehand to have a site walk through and discuss the timeline and our requests. We gave him a huge list of songs but asked him to use his best judgement to keep the party going, and he did just that. Everyone had so much fun that they chanted “one more song!” at the end - and he obliged! Both Jeremy and the owner of the company are very professional and great at what they do. We were able to enter our songs, timeline, and bridal party details on the website, which was very convenient. We definitely recommend hiring these guys for your wedding!

Dan DJ'ed our wedding recently and did an incredible job. He is very good at what he does and his professionalism shows. He works for the Navy band and is used to working formal events that allow zero margin for error. DJ Dan helped us perfect our reception timeline and easily accommodated the unique requests we had. He picked great songs through the night and all the guests were raving about how much fun the music and dancing was! Words cannot even begin to describe how amazing Musical DJs was during the planning stages. Dan was so prompt in the initial contracting stages, and extremely patient and more than happy to type of the 4 different quotes we had asked for. We knew we wanted Freddie B to be the DJ day of, and Dan made sure that happened! Freddie B was beyond amazing before and the day of!!! He understood our crazy schedule with work, a toddler, a dog, and life, and was so accommodating to planning around our schedule. He took the time to ask questions if he had any, made suggestions, answered questions we had, and day of was right on cue with the coordinator to keep the flow of things going. We had a wide variety of ages (1.5 years old to 84 years old) with different music likes attending, and my biggest concern was making sure everyone had fun and heard something that would get them on the dance floor. Not even sure why I was concerned, because Freddie B handled EVERYTHING!!! We saw all of our guests on the dance floor at some point in the evening, even if it was just for one song! During our last meeting, we told Freddie we wanted a specific song(not a well known song & older) played because my mom loved it so much. He said he would take care of it, but went above and beyond the day of. He actually dedicated the song to her, and the look on my mom's face as she ran to the dance floor was priceless. Freddie B loves what he does, and is so good at it, and it truly shows!!! He made our reception and I would not recommend ANYONE else to handle your wedding!! You will not be disappointed. Thank you Freddie, and Musical DJs, for one of the best nights of our lives!

DJ Freddie B is out of this world AMAZING!!! My husband and I were so overwhelmed with the planning and figuring out the "flow" of the big day. When my wife assigned me the task of booking our wedding DJ, I honestly didn't know where to start. There were several that had good ratings along with websites that promised amazing events, but I feel like I lucked out in finding Dan Lamaestra and his company, Musical DJs & Event Lighting.
My experience with "DJs" prior to my wedding was one of my fraternity brothers changing the songs for our college parties. I never understood that a real wedding DJ involves so much more than that. Dan spent the time to get to know what my wife and I envisioned for our wedding and walked us through how he would make that happen. He took the time to understand the entire timeline of our wedding, the type of crowd he would be playing music for, and the vibe we wanted to capture throughout.
Dan is an actual musician and lover of music, and he hires staff that share this feeling. While he has a stable of proven DJs that represent his company, he elected to DJ our event himself. We also wanted live music for our ceremony, and Dan played piano along with a cellist. He even learned two new songs the week of the wedding at our request for the processional and recessional.
Overall, our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be, and it couldn't have happened without the music being so perfect. From the beautiful ceremony music to the ideal mix of dance hits and rock classics that were pumped onto the dance floor, Dan set the mood for a day we will never forget. He was even able to satisfy my parents, their friends, and older relatives by mixing in some classics. I've already had several of my friends and family contact me to tell me how great the music was and how they didn't want to leave the dance floor the whole night.
I can honestly say that Dan and his company made us feel like he really cared about our wedding. It didn't feel like working with a service provider or vendor, but rather a trusted advisor. I wholeheartedly recommend Musical DJs & Event Lighting for your event.

Freddie Borras is absolutely amazing!! He came highly recommended from a friend that recently got married and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Freddie as our DJ!! I can’t say enough about Freddie Borras. We hired him because he was well recommended by a friend and everyone else on the wedding websites apparently. From the beginning, he made me feel more at ease because he was super positive, supportive and sooo excited about our wedding. He is professional, energetic, and really helpful with planning out the timeline of the reception and brought up logistical wedding things that I didn’t think about. He was an amazing DJ and a really hyped and pumped up MC. With that alone, I would recommend hiring him. What stood out for me though was his warm personality. Sure we paid him to be our DJ/MC but it felt like he was also part of the family celebrating with us. My aunts and moms loved dancing with him and told me what a nice guy he was. During our Hora Loca another DJ hopped on and Freddie didn’t just stand around. He helped pass out the party items and showed people how to do the line dances. This guy does not stop moving. We were told several times what a great DJ we had and were asked if he was a friend of ours before the wedding. Freddie won’t just DJ/MC your wedding; he will be an essential component to a successful and fun night. Thanks Freddie!

I'm pretty much a train wreck of a bride, I put together the entire wedding in less than two months. I contacted DJ Freddie B on referral only 2 weeks out! He was AMAZING and by far the reason everything came together so perfectly in the end. He met with us to get to know us and our vision. He was flexible to my many last minute changes and was able to put me at ease and offer advice based upon his extensive experience. He was responsive and understanding, even when I was texting him late the night before the wedding. He read my guest well and interacted with them to make the night fun for everyone. DJ Freddie B also had the most reasonable price. I can't thank him enough for how much help he was and couldn't have pulled this off without him. Freddie from Musical DJs is absolutely phenomenal. His prep was easy: A phone call to discuss what we were looking for and any special requests (We wanted to do the Chicken Dance and have "grandma and here 6 year old grandson lead it". For setup, Freddie rolled in and got everything in and set, smoothly and professionally. During the reception he was both DJ and MC. As MC he kept the pace of the event right on time (and hit every cue, including the Chicken Dance, right on the money!). As DJ he kept the dance floor full the ENTIRE night... right until the end! I could go on and on, but in summary: Musical DJs did us right, and Freddie really helped to make our special (Wedding) night! I would not hesitate one moment of booking Freddie for any future event.

Dj Freddie B with musical djs was our dj for our wedding on May 20. We met with Freddie about a month before our wedding to go over the reception timeline and to talk about songs for different parts of the reception (cake cutting, entrance songs, bouquet toss etc). Freddie was extremely personable and full of ideas and energy. On our wedding, Freddie helped to make sure everything went smoothly and he helped keep everything on schedule. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and was so much fun to work with. He brought so much excitement and energy to the reception!! He was truly the best Dj we could have hoped for!! We would absolutely recommend Freddie to anyone looking for the perfect wedding Dj!!

We had DJ Jeremy for our wedding on May 28th and couldn't have been happier. Jeremy didn't an excellent job of keeping everything on time and organized. His music selection was excellent throughout the entire night, making sure everyone had a great time. What really stood out to me was that he would check in on us throughout the night to make sure everything was going as planned and seeing if anything needed to be changed. Would highly suggest for your wedding!
