They made the party a PAAARTY

We used Music Host Entertainment for our wedding reception August 2025, for a large wedding (250+people). I can not recommend them enough! I felt like having the right DJ (along with great guests) really sets the tone for a really fun dance floor, & we got just that. Ryan was extremely attentive, and we were able to share the vibe we wanted ahead of the wedding which allowed for a lot of peace going into the wedding day.

Their set up, is so sleek and professional! I remember looking across the room and seeing the set up for the first time and being extremely impressed.

If you have an event, I would reach out to them right away! I am so thankful we went with them!!!

Would give my unequivocal recommendation for Andrew/Music Host Entertainment—he was always proactive and professional in his communication and very easy to work with, even with all the issues that arose due to the pandemic. And that was before the event! During the event, he kept things running super smoothly and ensured that everyone was in the right place at the right time so the day flowed exactly how I imagined. I received so many compliments on the music selections—from my parents and in-laws, to the groomsmen, and the bridesmaids, there was something for everyone! He provided a zero-stress, maximum-fun experience from start to finish and also made us feel really special.

We received so many compliments...

Andrew is the best. So involved with our entire process and SO HELPFUL. He kept us on schedule all night and always made sure we were informed. Our wedding population was significantly older than most, which limited those who were able to get up and dance, but wow all of our tables were jumping and bopping to the music selection! We received so many compliments and we are so grateful for his advice from start to finish. Plus the online music tool is amazing!

Music Host Entertainment was exceptional from the first moment we reached out until after our wedding. We can not speak more highly of Rick Reuthers and DJ Andrew Rounds. They were professional, welcoming, and supportive. Andrew Rounds offered incredible guidance throughout the whole planning process. On our wedding day, he made sure all went smoothly (it did!!), he kept people on the dance floor, and was the best MC we could have asked for. Music Host Entertainment truly went above and beyond with each step of the way. Our wedding celebration was truly special and amazing and they helped make that happen.

Music Host Entertainment as well as our individual DJ we were assigned (Don) did an absolutely incredible job for our wedding ceremony/reception on September 8, 2018. Our DJ took the time to meet with us individually during wedding planning to go over wedding day schedule/timeline as well as assist us in our music selection. Don did a great job playing music our guests wanted and reading the feel of our guests throughout the reception to make sure everyone stayed engaged/entertained. Music Host Entertainment did an amazing job and we were more than happy with how perfect everything went for our wedding day!

We just had our wedding on August 18th at the Ballroom at McKay. Joel from Music Host entertainment was our DJ and he was incredible! He was easy to get a hold of, he was very attentive to how we wanted the flow of wedding and music to be, and even helped us put together a timeline (which was a HUGE relief to have someone with experience to give us input on to make sure things went smooth and easy). I highly recommend this company if you want someone that truly wants to give you the best experience for your big day that they can. Loved them!

They say a DJ can either make or break the vibe of an evening, Well Our DJ Don K was the absolute best you could ask for! Don was amazing and had our dance floor packed the entire night! We even got my grandma on the dance floor three separate occasions based on the variety of music he played! He was awesome at reading the room and keeping the crowd happy by allowing requests and making it all happen! The night wouldn’t have been the same without him, and we couldn’t have been happier with how it all went!

After reading many reviews, we decided to choose Music Host entertainment to DJ our wedding reception and provide a jazz trio to play during our cocktail hour and dinner. To say the least, they were an amazing service to work with. Our DJ, Andrew, was amazing! He reached out to us multiple times before the event to go over our "must play" song list and "do not play" list. He also made sure to have a good idea of the order of events and how to pronounce everyones names from our wedding party. At the wedding, he was attentive to everyone's needs and kept us on a tight schedule, which is exactly what we needed. The music he played was nothing short of hit after hit....our dance-floor was filled all night up to the last song! The jazz trio played during our cocktail hour and dinner. We had many compliments about the trio all night. The company did a really great job of seamlessly transitioning from the cocktail hour location into the ballroom, as well as packing up when Andrew took over without distracting the guests. We have nothing but good things to say about this DJ service and would recommend them to everybody!

There are no words to express how incredibly professional, personable and simply AMAZING Jeff was! From the moment of our initial contact, Jeff was there. He reached out to us not only by email, but gave us a call to get to know a bit about my husband and I before meeting in person. He was always available and prompt in responding to questions/requests. When we met with Jeff about a month before our wedding, he made sure our visions, hopes and dreams for the day were known. From helping us figure out the "must-plays" and "do-not-plays," to professionally guiding us through creating a timeline for the reception, all the way down to making sure he knew the exact pronunciation of each member of our bridal party- Jeff put us at ease and left us feeling more than confident that our day would run smoothly. We were continually blown away by Jeff's attention to detail and preference on the actual day of our wedding as well. His professionalism and class was appreciated by all and his experience in filling a dance floor did not go unnoticed! Thank you Jeff and Rick for helping make our wedding day so incredibly memorable!

Nothing but good things to say! We received a prompt response to our booking request and Andrew was great to work with right from our first meeting. He was professional, made the process easy and fun and did a fantastic job as our DJ with top-notch equipment, sound and custom playlist.

When we set out to find a DJ for our reception, there was one thing we just had to have – personable! The day was about celebrating us with friends and family. We were blown away by Music Host Entertainment and in particular our DJ, Joel. We met with him beforehand and knew right away he was the one for our reception. Many of our guests commented that it was the best reception they had ever been to because the great music kept everyone dancing all night! Joel was very professional throughout the reception from knowing when to make introductions to ending the night with class. We highly recommend for any occasion!

Everyone we contacted at Rich Reuther Productions was extremely helpful, informative and flexible! We knew right away after speaking with Rick that we would book with this company. Our DJ for our wedding day was Andrew and was phenomenal. Andrew met with us several times before our big day and was always willing to come meet with us in Metro Detroit or schedule a phone conference on the weekends! I could not say enough WONDERFUL things about Andrw. On our wedding day, he did an amazing job coordinating with the venue owner and wedding planner the whole night. He made sure that we had the most perfect day and our gratitude and satisfaction is endless. My husband and I are not dancers so we initially were not going to have a DJ. Joel from Music Host Entertainment was wonderful . He took the time to speak with us on the phone ahead of our wedding to understand what we were looking for. We had no idea how much we needed him to keep the flow going during our reception. Joel kept us on schedule while not being pushy. He read the crowd and kept the party going. He even got us to dance at our own wedding.

Our DJ was Andrew and he was amazing. From the planning meeting all the way through the event we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We hired Music Host Entertainment for our daughter's wedding, and they worked seamlessly with a live band and exceeded all our expectations. The bride and groom were out of state, and they Skyped with them to get their needed input. They worked so beautifully and coordinated just exactly as we wanted them to, and it was a most excellent gathering! They read the group exactly right and had them dancing all night! (All this to surprise the bride and groom who didn't much believe their guests were the dancing type!) Very professional, I would have no hesitations in recommending Music Host Entertainment.

My fiancé and I chose Music Host Entertainment to provide DJ services at our October wedding reception after being highly recommended by our event planner. Their responsiveness, flexibility, and professionalism alone make them worth every penny. Our DJ, Joel, was both experienced and knowledgeable with regards to planning our reception. Joel set up Skype meetings and was quick to respond to e-mails when we had questions. This flexibility in our planning saved us lots of headaches as we live three hours from Grand Rapids. On the day of the event, Joel kept us right on schedule, as we were often distracted and socializing with our many wedding guests. He was personable, fun, and made sure that our chosen playlist reflected who we are as a couple. At the end of the evening many guests inquired about and complimented Joel’s DJ skills. Rick Reuther and Joel Steenstra were an absolute blast to work with and we plan to recommend them to many of our friends planning their future weddings. We are so happy that we chose Music Host Entertainment as they truly made the night unforgettable!

All my questions were answered quickly during the planning process and they were very flexible with meeting times. Our wedding DJ, Jeff, was fantastic. I used this company for my wedding based on the recommendation of several of my cousins who used them for their weddings! We worked with David White, who was extremely professional and thorough. I appreciated that he took the time to talk to myself and fiancé over the phone to go through the timeline and make sure he had the exact correct pronunciation of names etc. He was very flexible when we had a family member become ill and was unable to process into the reception. He quickly moved around the order of the groomsmen and bridesmaids and it went on without a hitch! I also appreciated that he touched base with me during the wedding, making sure that the songs we wanted were being played and that the order of events was correct before proceeding. Would highly recommend this company to any bride getting married in the Midwest area! The company is in Grand Rapids, but David was more than willing to travel to our wedding in Indiana for a very reasonable travel fee. The instrumental trio was also a lovely addition and our guests truly enjoyed being able to enjoy their music during dinner.

David was amazing! He took the time to truly get to know us. The music was extremely important to us and David was on point. After saying our I do's he played one of my favorite songs and it brought me to tears because his timing with the music was perfect. He honored our wishes with the songs we wanted to be played and made the entire wedding reception run smoothly.

During one of our meetings with David he even bought us dinner! As the three of us sat down to map out the wedding day we enjoyed a nice sushi dinner. David's attention to detail and thoughtfulness made our wedding day amazing and we are forever thankful!

We were so happy we chose Music Host Entertainment for our wedding!! We worked with Andrew Rounds for our wedding a few weeks ago and had nothing but a positive experience from start to finish. I initially set things up through Rick Reuther and he was so helpful and accommodating linking us up with our DJ. Several weeks before our wedding, my husband and I met with Andrew and he was very professional and organized asking us about song requests, do not play requests, and pronunciation of our parents and bridal party. He had a whole list of questions that we hadn't even thought about and it was nice talking through them together ahead of time. We had a great time and felt very comfortable with one another at the end of this meeting. He told us we could message him at any point before the wedding to add requests or if we had any questions/concerns. The day of our wedding, Andrew showed up early to set up and was dressed professionally in a tuxedo. He did an amazing job acting as both MC and DJ! He kept things running on time and did a great job announcing cake cuttings, speeches, first dances, guest book etc. I had a special dance planned for the groom and he kept this quiet until it was time to perform. He moved from one song to the next seamlessly. From the moment the dance floor opened, it was packed. His music selection was absolutely perfect and he managed to get our requests (and our guests) in throughout the night! I have been to a lot of weddings (and also been in a lot), and I have never seen a packed dance floor at the end of the night until our own. Andrew announced and played the last song and afterwards everyone started chanting for multiple encores because he did such an amazing job! I truly cannot say enough about Andrew and Rick Reuther's. They were so professional and fun to work with. They were very reasonably priced as well. I would 100% work with them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for professional DJ or music services.

I cannot give enough stars to rate how happy we were with Music Host Entertainment! They were so nice and accommodating and so easy to work with. Since we were planning our wedding long distance, we weren't able to meet with Don, our DJ, until the day of the wedding. We exchanged a few texts and had a phone call a couple days before the wedding to answer any questions and that was it and he was FANTASTIC. Everything at our wedding ran so smoothly and everyone had such a great time. He made sure that everything was on time and was very flexible with any changes we suddenly made. I've been to a ton of weddings and he is by far the best DJ I've ever seen. (Non-bias, all of our guests said the same thing ;) ) Thank you so much Don (and Rick!) for making our wedding perfect.

Andrew was the Dj at our wedding reception on 4/23/16. He was fantastic! The service he provided was better than I expected. He was extremely professional and made the day so easy. He communicated very well with my husband and I so we would know exactly when important times were coming during the reception. This made is easy for us to be able to talk with our family and friends and not have to worry about details. He met with us beforehand to ensure that he was on point with details and song requests, which he was! An overall fantastic experience! Our dj'a name was Andrew Rounds and I will say that our reception was such a success because of him! He had a perfect music selection that was perfect for all ages and groups of people. Andrew Rounds was our DJ for our wedding reception and was FANTASTIC. He was so calming, funny, nice and really listened to what we wanted. I felt at ease the minute we met him. Our reception was tricky - we were competing with other attractions outside of our reception room (Christmas trees at Mejier Garden) - and yet Andrew kept the party going for all ages. He played the music I really wanted - mix of current hiphop & pop that everyone can dance to, and was also very receptive to switch things up when some of our older guests wanted MoTown and most classic type hits. The best part was the end. He had a great build of songs culminating with all of our guests joining us on the dance floor for a final high energy song (I HIGHLY recommend Katy Perry Firework for a final wedding reception song). Andrew was just amazing from the minute we first sat down to sketch out the night, through to the final song. He was a rockstar for us. I highly recommend him!

David White DJ'd our wedding and we could not have asked for a better DJ! He was very responsive in the months leading up to the wedding and very professional to work with. We got such great feedback from our guests about the DJ-ing that night. David was wonderful! We also used the jazz trio during our cocktail hour which was wonderful background music. Music Host Entertainment was the perfect choice for our wedding. They played all the songs we requested and even some obscure ones our guests requested. Our DJ made sure we were taken care of the moment our ceremony ended, even coordinated with the catering company to make sure we had food and drinks before entering the reception. I would definitely recommend them.

Music host entertainment was amazing to work with! From the initial consultation to planning the details of our wedding they were extremely responsive, considerate, professional and helpful in planning all the details you may or may not think to ask about. Jim was our DJ for our wedding and it was great! He was very easy to talk to when we met with him before the wedding and he took lots of notes to make sure he played exactly what we wanted. He played some of the music during the ceremony as well as during cocktail hour and the reception and it was perfect! We are still getting compliments about the music. There were so many little details with first dances, music for the ceremony, etc. and Jim nailed it! We would recommend this company to anyone.

Definitely recommend!! Our DJ was Joel and he was FANTASTIC! He was very professional and very nice. We knew when we met him to discuss everything a month before the wedding, we were in good hands. We had a great experience with Rick Reuther. Everyone on their staff is professional, classy, and experienced. Our DJ helped us with ideas for our ceremony music and helped figure out how to incorporate a few other music elements to reception. Not only did he play great music, but helped act as a coordinator throughout the night. His timeline was perfect and kept everything on track. We were an out of town bride and groom and selected the beautiful Noto's Old World Italian as our reception venue. Noto's has Music Host Entertainment as a suggested vendor and we know why! I spoke with Rick who assigned our wedding three jazz band members for the cocktail hour and dinner and a DJ Andrew Round for the rest of the evening. Music Host Entertainment kept our guests entertained and on the dance floor all night. We started the evening with a three piece jazz band for cocktail hour which was so enjoyable and welcoming as our guests stated.

Once the bridal party arrived we were greeted by our DJ Andrew Round. Andrew was an amazing DJ who is probably tired of seeing my email run across his inbox! Andrew was a true gentleman and very professional. He assisted with cutting songs for our special entrances and dances. He reviewed all of our bridal party names, (isn't that the worst when a DJ can't pronounce your bridal party). I would highly suggest Andrew and would work with him again for future events! Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and we would like to thank you for all of your assistance throughout the evening!

I promise you there is no better DJ out there for a wedding than Joel. He was extremely helpful in planning and putting together music for day of. He drove from Grand Rapids to meet us locally near Lansing. The day of, it was pouring rain and everything was outside. On a whim, we decided to move things around and I have never seen anyone hustle harder than to move equipment and set-up again. He is EVERYTHING you hope for when booking a DJ. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

We would not hesitate to recommend Rick Reuther's Music Host Entertainment to anyone and everyone! Rick was very helpful in answering all our initial questions and organizing the perfect music plans for our wedding. He set up a live jazz trio to play during our cocktail hour and dinner, who were wonderful and even surprised us by playing a song with vocals by my cousin! We had a piano but no pianist for our ceremony, so Rick arranged for the pianist from the trio, Tom Hagan, played for our ceremony. Tom was great and did not hesitate to take a few hours out of his Friday to join us for the rehearsal. He helped pick out the perfect music for our ceremony and was familiar with all of the songs I requested. He accompanied my cousin for a song during the ceremony and she said he was wonderful to work with on that also! Our DJ for the night and the after-dinner dancing music was Andrew. Andrew was fantastic and such a pleasure to work with! He had us fill out a questionnaire and met with us in person a couple weeks before the wedding to make sure that he had a clear understanding of everything we wanted from the reception. The day of the wedding, he did an amazing job of making everything so easy for us - he made everything run so smoothly, ensured that everything ran on schedule, and reminded our guests of all of the happenings during the night - guest book, photo booth, late-night snack. When one of the guests asked if he could make an un-scheduled toast, Andrew checked with us first to make sure that there were no unwelcome surprises! I can't say enough good things about Music Host Entertainment. On a day when things need to run smoothly and you need help to make that happen, this company really rose to the occasion and beyond! We used Rick Reuther's Music Host Entertainment for our wedding at The BOB. Our DJ, Kurt, was absolutely amazing. He was very professional and kept the dance floor full all night long. He really understood how a party flowed and had everyone (including grandma and grandpa) out dancing. The initial meeting with Kurt went well, he was sure to ask all the questions and listen to what we envisioned for the evening. He was flexible with our schedule (we are from out of town) which was very important to us. After our meeting Kurt was easy to get a hold of via email and phone. I would definitely book through Music Host Entertainment again!

We hired Music Host Entertainment for our recent wedding and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made! The company and staff are exceptional.

Our DJ, Joel, was professional, friendly and fantastic at what he does. He ensured our evening ran smoothly and most importantly, our guest were on the dance floor the entire night! We "upgraded" and had the Jazz Trio play at our cocktail hour and during dinner. The trio sounded amazing and it was a perfect addition to our evening. I kept looking back at the trio in awe and we had multiple guests say how impressive they were.

Joel made planning for the wedding a breeze, even from the other side of the state. Joel did an excellent job with communication and making sure that all of our needs were met.

On the day of the wedding, Joel did an exceptional job making sure that the evening ran smoothly. Joel is a calm presence on what can be a hectic day. Quietly, Joel made sure that everything ran according to schedule
and that all of our guests had a great time.

Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and it is due in large part to Music Host Entertainment!

Rick met with us in a easy, relaxed manner that we really enjoyed. From there, we met with Andrew and it was a great fit! Great communication, easy going, understood exactly what we wanted and delivered on every note. He was fun yet when guests requested something that might not jive with us, he consulted us. It was wonderful because we had some specific wants. Our music for the night was incredible and guests have continued to tell us just how much they enjoyed the event - in great part to Andrew! He also DJ'd our ceremony and acted as the master of events for the entire evening. He did a wonderful job and I wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone to work with him and Rick.

Our DJ was very helpful and accommodating. We had a guitarist that we hired separately and the DJ worked with him ahead of time to make sure everything went smoothly and transitioned well. Also, our DJ was great as a MC. He kept us on track and made sure our guests were not getting bored. We had so many compliments on how fun our wedding was and I think it had a lot to do with the music and flow of the reception. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last! Would definitely recommend Joel and the Music Host Entertainment company they were affordable, accommodating, and did a great job.

Joel was very flexible in meeting us in the evenings to discuss our event. He was very knowledgeable about how to successfully run a wedding and provided excellent feedback when we had ideas on how to personalize our wedding. He provided feedback in a professional and courteous manner and my wife and I believe that the reception schedule fit exactly what we wanted as a result.

Joel did a fantastic job at providing low-key host duties. By that I mean he did not try to run the show and make himself the center of attention, nor was he pushy and commanding in trying to get our guests to stick to the schedule and behave. He did not run the show like a circus like we've seen some DJs host events and we appreciate that. He followed our schedule perfectly, provided smooth transitions between events in the evening, and rolled with some of the minor delays and changes in schedule that occurred. Basically, he did what he was supposed to do and didn't introduce any extra stress into our wedding day. That is what we believe a DJ should be and he did a fantastic job of it.

Joel's music repertoire was also worth a mention. He did a great job of keeping people on the dance floor. Melissa and I were pleasantly surprised considering our older crowd. He played a fantastic array of music, some of which was a bit out there for us, but we gave him free reign and he did a great job. Nailed all the songs and genres we requested and kept the dance floor FULL.

Right from the start, our DJ, Joel, was incredibly professional and understanding. He was quick to respond to emails and set up meetings to get to know us and what we wanted. He was never pushy and provided examples of what would work well for us. We told Joel we wanted everyone to be out on the dance floor the whole night and that's exactly what we got. He played a variety of music that encouraged everyone to dance. He did an outstanding job of controlling the night and making sure everything ran smoothly. I would definitely recommend Joel as a DJ for anyone's wedding!

Our DJ, Andrew Rounds, did an amazing job! He was flexible with our busy schedules, he was timely and professional, and he kept us in mind as he made sure to play all of our requested songs throughout the night (trust me it was a long list). In addition to all those wonderful things listed above, Andrew from Music Host Entertainment also played music that was enjoyed by a wide range of ages. This made our wedding fun for not only us but all of our guests too! I was continually being told after our wedding that it was the most fun they have had at wedding in a long time. I feel a big part of that compliment was due to the music played by our talented DJ. I am not one to write reviews, but I was happy with the great service and felt compelled to share.

We were so happy we chose Music Host Entertainment for our Wedding! Rick and our DJ, Jim Rademaker, were very professional and easy to work with. Jim was very accommodating to our schedule since we lived 2 hours away from Grand Rapids and even met us on a Sunday afternoon to go over some final details. Jim gave us all the information we needed to make sure our wedding timeline included everything we wanted. Our guests had so much fun and were dancing all night long. We have so many pictures from our wedding of people out on the dance floor enjoying themselves that we will cherish for a lifetime. Jim was very good at reading the crowd along with choosing songs that fit our style. He made sure throughout the night that we were happy with everything and if there was anything that we needed. Andrew was our DJ and he was awesome! He met with us a few times over the course of a few months leading up to the day and he was always very flexible with time and location. He listened to what we wanted and what we were going for, and definitely provided that. We had an outdoor ceremony and reception by water, so there were some logistical things to figure out, but he handled them easily. He's very professional and read the crowd perfectly. My husband and I were married in June and had the most beautiful, fun, and hassle-free reception- much of which we owe to the wonderful people at Music Host. Our DJ, David, was truly amazing-can't thank him enough for giving us such awesome memories! For all the brides-to-be spending countless hours researching different vendors (trust me, I was there!), choosing Music Host will be the best decision you'll make. I was very particular about who we selected for a DJ and I had contacted several companies to 'shop around' and make sure I found the right one for us. I knew from the first time I talked to Rick (the owner) that I'd found the right one.
Our experience with Music Host was a little unique in that the DJ that was originally scheduled to do our wedding, Kurt, was unable to be there due to a sudden, tragic death in his family the day before the wedding. My mom, sister and I had met with Kurt a few weeks prior to the wedding to discuss the music selection and timing of the evening. He is such a personable, kind, and professional guy and I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders after meeting with him because I knew he would take care of everything. The night before the wedding Rick called us to tell us about Kurt’s devastating loss and our hearts went out to him and his family. There was never a moment of panic or uncertainty, Rick assured us that Music Host always leaves one of their DJ’s unscheduled each weekend in the event that something like this happens. David, our replacement DJ, called me the night before the wedding to discuss all the particulars, which Kurt had already meticulously organized and prepared. The reception was perfect and David kept the evening flowing with ease. Music Host is a professional, experienced company that will go above and beyond to make sure your reception is flawless. Can’t thank these guys enough.

We chose Rick Reuthers music host entertainment for our wedding because we knew we wanted the best of the best. A trusted, well known company with many years experience was just what we were looking for. We were blessed with Joel for our DJ. What an amazing DJ he was! We met with Joel prior to our wedding and he seemed to know exactly what we were looking for. We didn't even make a play list we just went over a few basics and Joel took it from there. Needless to say our wedding was AMAZING and I contribute a great deal of that to the music. David White did an excellent job for our wedding. We are from out of state (WI) and David had no trouble meeting with us on a weekend we were in town. He had great suggestions and also delivered on all of our requests. There was actually an area power outage at our outdoor reception. We had to move the reception to an area on the property with a backup generator and David moved/changed his equipment and setup in the new location in a short time and got the music started again.

When planning our wedding, we looked all around southwest Michigan at the different DJ's out there. We absolutely loved the professionalism and responsiveness from Music Host Entertainment. I was planning my Michigan Wedding from Colorado, so the planning aspect was a little unconventional with timing of when I would make trips to Michigan. Andrew was our DJ for the wedding and was beyond amazing. He met with me months before the wedding to start planning and getting things organized, so I wasn't running around crazily a few weeks before the big day. On the day of the wedding, Andrew helped with the timing of things and keeping everything moving and organized. Our guests were never bored or wondered what was going to happen next. The day/night flowed seamlessly. I recommend Music Host Entertainment, especially Andrew, without any hesitation. All I heard from people was, "Pick a good DJ, people only remember the music at weddings!" As you can imagine, I viewed this as one of the biggest, most daunting decisions of the entire wedding planning process. I bet I inquired about 10 or 15 DJs before I finally consulted my Day Of wedding coordinator, my photographer and my florist. They all had one recommendation: Music Host Entertainment, more specifically Rick! Obviously, I thought that was a good sign and got in contact with Rick. Rick was professional, friendly, and informative from Day 1.

I was really freaked out about the reception before meeting with Rick, to the point where I had a down to the minute schedule of events. I brought that with me to the meeting with Rick and he was SO helpful in giving me confidence that the night would go perfectly. He did give us a few suggestions on switching the timing around or making it more realistic and I trusted him, and it truly made the night flow perfectly.

Now, flexibility, professionalism, value, responsiveness, and quality of service mean nothing without the true talent of an amazing DJ and I tell you what... RICK HAS THAT TALENT. The dance floor was filled the ENTIRE night. No joke! Immediately after dinner there was a large crowd and that did not stop until the venue forced us out! I am still hearing comments from people about how great the DJ and how much fun they had. Also, I did not know this was a thing (and maybe its not, maybe its just an added touch from Rick) but he checked in with me several times to see if I was liking the music choices! I do believe at one point I made the call for no more slow songs (sorry Grandma) and Rick did just that.

I don't even want to think about my wedding reception without Rick and Music Host Entertainment and I don't suggest you do either. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. He is the best out there, hands down. Thank you SO much Rick!

Kurt Enger was awesome. He helped us chooses songs when we couldn't think of any. He worked with us although we were out of state (ohio) and sent all the documents to is in a timely fashion.. We had Jim Rademaker (spelling?) as our wedding DJ. Simply put, Jim was awesome to work with. He met with us and got a really good feel for our style. The day of the wedding, he was set up and ready to go and helped to make sure the whole evening went smoothly, especially with the timing of everything. He was very intuitive into when I needed to be rescued from chatty guests and when I myself was being too chatty and needed to get on the dance floor and enjoy myself! Every single guest, from the older people to the little kids had a great time. No one complained about the noise level. They said it was perfect. Jim did a great job taking us through the generations, so that everyone heard a song that took them back to the good ol' days. I highly highly recommend this company as a DJ!

We really can't say enough about how Rick runs his business and what a great job our DJ Andrew did! Rick was so professional initially and always got back to us in a timely manner. Andrew was amazing. He met with us personally to get to know our taste in music, set expectations for the evening, and learn everyone's name. When we ran into a conflict with the venue's event coordinator, Andrew used his lunch break to meet with us and get everyone on the same page. There were also a few hiccups on the venue's side during the reception, but Andrew handled them so well that were less noticeable. He kept the night moving and the dance floor packed. I would recommend Rick Reuther's Music Host Entertainment to anyone, especially if you can get Andrew!

We decided to go with Music Host Entertainment for our wedding and could not have been happier with our choice. Andrew was our DJ and his service was excellent. Not only were his music choices great (our dance floor was full all night), but he did a great job as the master of ceremonies. He kept events flowing smoothly throughout the reception, made sure everyone knew where they needed to be and made it so that we could enjoy ourselves all night without worrying about logistics. He really listened to what we wanted and made it happen, including a few special requests. We would definitely recommend this company.

MHE and Rick made a perfect day even better. We had Jeff as our DJ and the jazz trio playing during the cocktail hour. Jeff is a true professional, easy to work with and made the evening a hit. From the moment Jeff took over, the evening flowed. He played the music we requested and the dance floor was packed from beginning until the end. The only problem was that the guests didn't want the nite to end.

Thanks Rick and Jeff for a great experience from the moment we contacted you til the party ended.

We had Joel as our DJ and he was absolutely wonderful! He is not like those stereotypical DJs who think that because they have a mic they can turn into a comedian, he knew this was about us and his role was just to move the night along. He really was interested in what we wanted and gave us great suggestions on how to make the evening flow best. After discussing the general timeline for the evening a month in advance, I had nothing to even worry about during the reception.

He organized the bridal party to introduce them. He checked in with the groom and I to see if we were ready for the next event (first dance, bouquet toss, etc.) We didn't feel rushed by him at all, he genuinely wanted to make sure we were able to do everything we wanted.

He did a great job with the music choices. We could tell at first he was trying to appeal to our Aunts, Uncles and older relatives so they would join the dance floor but once he realized that was not going to happen haha, he played the perfect music for our friend crowd. He really knows his audience and is a great DJ.

I can best sum up my experience with Music Host Entertainment like this: at one point in the night I went over to Andrew, our incredibly awesome DJ, and said "you've got to stop playing such great songs so I can actually leave the dance floor!" Our dance floor was packed from the moment the first song started and Andrew was great about switching out songs if they weren't working for the crowd. We were SOOO incredibly happy with the success of our reception and continue to hear from everyone that attended that they had never been to a more fun and danced wedding in their life. Kurt was AMAZING. He played exactly what I asked. He said exactly the right things. He made is the day and night so easy and I couldn't have asked for anything more. And I'm a control freak when it comes to music. It was my most important investment and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Music Host Entertainment was recommended to us by several people and I can see why. Joel our DJ did such a FANTASTIC job of putting together the perfect reception music and keeping the evening flowing. Both grandmas, little kids, and everyone in between (including my husband and I) were dancing up a storm to many great generations of music. Joel met with us first to get to know us better and our tastes, which we appreciated and then hit a home run with the reception. Thank you Music Host Entertainment!

I was told by several brides that your DJ or Music Host will be the deciding factor on how well the reception goes. The DJ is truly a host and “runs the show.” I understand that most people are on a budget of some sort, but it was a top priority for me to have the best music host around, in order to ensure the best reception, with no hiccups, so it was well worth the very slightly higher cost to have only the best. Kurt was our host and he was absolutely awesome. He was very professional! He was great at communicating with us prior to our special day, and he explained everything to us and answered any questions we had. He went over song lists, timelines, who was toasting when, the order of the evening, and the pronunciation of names. He set expectations with us for how the timeline of events for the evening would proceed and he stuck to his word. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, he was a professional music host, and we received rave reviews from attendees. The dance floor was full and the party did not stop until the very last song. Kurt and Music Host Entertainment really gave the evening that extra something and it was a truly magical night. I highly recommend Music Host and am very pleased with their services.

Our DJ, Jeff, was wonderful! He was responsive to emails and was very flexible in working with my schedule (I was planning the wedding from another state). He played great music and got to most of the songs that I requested while still accepting requests from guests so that we all had a blast. The dance floor was packed the entire night. I had the wedding and reception of my dreams and Jeff really helped make the night truly special. He also gave us a CD of the special songs at the end of the night, which I really love! Thanks!

Best DJ ever. Joel was our DJ from MHE and he was absolutely incredible. He met with us one on one before the wedding and helped us organize everything from the ceremony through to the last song. He totally understood what we were looking for and we received so many compliments after the wedding. I would recommend MHE, and Joel in particular, to anyone looking for an incredible DJ who knows how to keep the dance floor packed all night. The jazz trio was a great addition, but Joel really shined.

Jeff was the DJ at our reception and he was great! He was very flexible with any changes we made to our schedule or songs ... even changes we made the day before. Guests even came up to us during the reception to comment on how great he was at making sure the evening flowed. I would definitely recommend Jeff and Music Host Productions!

We were extremely pleased with our experience with Music Host Entertainment (Rick Reuther Productions) and his DJ's Andrew Rounds and David Smith. We hired MHE as a DJ only, we did not have the live music that Rick also offers (he was booked, not surprised!). Here is a copy of the written feedback that I gave to Rick:

During our initial call, Rick's phone "manners" were extremely professional while remaining friendly. It was obvious that he was confident in his DJ's and company, and he asked great questions that made me sure that he would have all the bases covered. We were also very impressed with Andrew Rounds as planning got underway. He used his iPhone for super-quick responses to questions I had about his date/time availability for our face to face meeting, as I was trying to coordinate schedules with my planner as well. At the meeting, Scott and I felt relieved because he was organized, professional and seemed very experienced. He offered suggestions about our day-of schedule (like cutting the cake immediately after being announced into the reception) which worked out very well for us. Since our face-to-face meeting went so well, and his preparation seemed to be so complete, I was happy on the day of the wedding, knowing that the DJ was definitely something I would not need to worry about. During the wedding, I honestly didn't notice very much in particular, being busy with guests and having a good time. I think this is a good thing! We had a complicated set-up and take-down with an equipment move in the middle, which seemed to go off without a hitch. I noticed Andrew and David really hustling to get the ceremony equipment into the reception (barn) for dinner in the tight timing I requested and they pulled it off perfectly. I did get positive feedback from guests about them, and I noticed that both men looked totally "on task" in all the pictures - watching the crowd, choosing the music... very professional. I think the best complement in the end, was when I spoke with the woman who did all of the day-of coordination for me. She is very particular about how things should be. She commented that Andrew and David were the most professional DJ's she had ever worked with - that is saying a lot!! I couldn't be happier with any part of my experience with Rick, Andrew and David.

I live in Minneapolis and planning my reception with Rick was still a breeze. He knew all the details to cover and questions to ask me. One of my concerns was having the right music at the right time for my various guests and it went perfectly. He was very professional and I am sure that the other DJs are as well.

We had Andrew as our DJ from Music Host Productions for both our ceremony and reception. He was absolutely fantastic! We loved how flexible and easy Andrew was to work with. He was very professional and if we ever had a question about something concerning a song for a dance (etc.) he would always have suggestions. Our theme was generally 60s and 70s music and Andrew came up with a great song list and made the night go perfectly! Everyone was up and dancing! Andrew had been to Bay Pointe Inn (where our ceremony/reception was) several times before and this made us very comfortable with how everything was going to be set up and go for our big day. We had no worries after meeting with Andrew the first time several months before our wedding. We would definitely go with Music Host Productions again for any event we decide to have in the future. My husband's brother and fiance were so impressed at our wedding that they plan on going with Music Host Productions for their wedding in another year.

We were so pleased with the DJ ... we had Andrew and he was fantastic. The dance floor was always busy and our guests had a great time. We had a separate sax player for the cocktail and dinner hour and the two of them worked very well together. This was a very formal wedding where everyone had a great time. Andrew worked very will with the Bride and Groom ... he understood their vision and their preferences. As an added bonus, at the end of the night, he gave them a CD of the music he played for their special songs.

My husband and I were thrilled all the way around with MHP. We had them provide both live music (a jazz trio) for our cocktail hour and dinner portion of the reception. The musicians were outstanding. People loved both the variety and the skill level they brought to the event. Then once dinner was over we had the DJ take over. Don Kinney was our DJ from MHP and he did a great job of playing songs that we had requested he play (which fit our crowd) and songs that were requested by our guests. Don really helped bring the fun and the music was key in tying everything together.

Music Host Productions did the best job I have seen in a long time. Kurt was excellent at watching the dance floor and making sure we never lost a person. Our dance floor was full from 7:30-11:00!! Our guests enjoyed themselves, great music was played and the party was rocking until the end. THANK YOU Kurt and music host productions for making this such a great night. We first met with Rick who was professional and helpful. We were looking for someone who would provide us with great dance music but not a lot of "show" type stuff. He delivered. We met with the DJ who would work our wedding. He was helpful in giving song choices and working with us about the timing of music and events of the evening. During the reception he wore a tux which was a nice extra. The music was great and we had a full dance floor all nite. Early on in the evening having a few more swing/big band songs would have been nice for our older guests, but other than that it was a great evening. The DJ accommodated many of our requests.

Rick was so professional and easy to work with. He was very detailed in our meeting beforehand and so calming on the day of. Not only is he a fabulous disc jockey, he surprised us and sang during dinner.... I didn't even know it was him at first, it sounded just like Frank Sinatra. I work at a reception hall and have seen DJ's just kill a party so when I was looking for a DJ, I wouldn't have anyone but Rick. My wedding date was actually planned around him!! You can't go wrong with Rick and Music Host Productions!

Music Host Productions provided a wonderful jazz trio for our cocktail hour and dinner and then a superior DJ, Andrew Rounds, for after dinner dancing! We could not have been more pleased with the music provided by all at Music Host Productions for our reception. From coordinating the details ahead of time to responding to any last minute requests and time line changes to handling everything from introductions on during the reception, I could not have been more pleased. Andrew did a fantastic job ensuring everything ran smoothly, everyone felt welcome and knew what was going on at all times and keeping nearly all guests on the dance floor until the lights were turned on at the end of the night - no joke! The music the trio and Andrew played were a great fit for our guests of all ages, too. What a great sound track provided for a very important evening!

I can't say enough good things about Rick Reuther and the Jazz Trio that we had at our wedding. We were intially concerned about having a DJ at our wedding because we had seen one too many "unclassy" DJs. Well, with Rick Reuther, there is nothing "unclassy" about him. Not only did his Jazz Trio provide an indescribable element of classy ambiance to our reception, but Rick's music for the dance floor kept everyone having a good time. Our dance floor was crowded and everyone had a ball. It is a feat and a testament to Music Host Productions when you can please a crowd of ALL AGES, from 9 years old to 90!!!

We had Rick Reuther for our DJ. He has done 2 of my cousins weddings in the past 2 years and my grandma loves his music! We wanted no one else for our reception. We met with him about a month before the wedding and went over every, and I mean every detail about the reception and music. He wanted to know a little bit about us, what kind of music we like. He went over with us how to say every attendants name for announcing them. I, a very anxious bride, was totally calm at the reception because I knew that he would take care of everything!! He came up to us as we were lining up before being announced and told us again how things would go, and introduced himself to everyone and went through the order and everyone's names. The night was absolutely amazing and memorable! He's expensive, but to have a perfect wedding reception, it's worth it. Rick is very professional, approachable, talented and knowledgeable in his line of work. He knows what would work best in the flow of the evening and calls back timely when you have questions. I would recommend Rick Reuther or others in his company to anyone in a heartbeat! He sings too!! During dinner he sang Frank Sinatra songs! It sounded great! He also sings every Wednesday night at Noto's in Grand Rapids.

Booking with Rick was a great decision. He was extreamly responsive with emails and phone calls. Music Host Entertainment is committed to helping you throw the best party possible. I appreciate that they asked to be a part of the planning process. I would rather pay more for a compnay that wants to plan with me than one that just needs to know when to show up. Don was easy to work with and a lot of fun. Our planning meeting was over an hour because of all the fun we had talking to him. Don Kinney was our DJ and he was amazing. He played all of our songs and even took guest requests. Our dance floor was packed most of the night. What an amazing party we had!!!!
