We used Mirage for our engagement and wedding photos! They were awesome. They are so friendly to work with and totally make you feel at ease. We loved our engagement photos and can't wait to see our wedding photos from our September wedding. They do amazing work and Sam really helped ease my stress and keep everyone calm & having fun. Her and Justin did wonderful to include my dog in some wedding pictures, which was something we really wanted to do. I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know. Keep up the great work!!

Mirage Photo is AMAZING! All of the photographers are wonderful, listen to every request you have, not to mention will suggest things to those that don't have a clue what to do! Mirage Photo's ability to capture the moment is absolutely incredible. I couldn't be more impressed with the staff's knowledge and kindness, not to mention the quality of photos! You will not be disappointed if you use Mirage Photo. I am usually very shy when it comes to my photo being taken, they couldn't have done a better job making me feel relaxed and comfortable. Thank you to Shawn, Samantha and the whole team! I cant wait to use Mirage Photo again for any other photography needs I have!

My fiancé and I have Mirage booked for our wedding in October, but I am confident that everything will go well. They did our engagement pictures and we could not have been happier with the results! Samantha and Sean made us feel comfortable during the shoot and, most importantly, they made us laugh. They really made sure we were both happy with the pictures and gave us great direction! Not only did they make my fiancé and I feel comfortable, they worked really well with our dogs! I cannot say enormous changes good things about Mirage and whenever someone asks me for a photographer recommendation, we always suggest them! If I could give them over 5 stars, I would.

When I began planning for my wedding I was overwhelmed with all of the decisions I had to make. Once decision I was most concerned about was the photography aspect. I had a list of photographers to meet with and at the time Mirage was not even on my list! While meeting with other vendors (non-photo) one specific person recommended I contact Samantha from Mirage Photo. I immediately put that on my list and contacted her to schedule an appointment (after reading reviews online). Within a day I had a response and we scheduled a meeting. Wow! Even on our phone call she was friendly and seemed personable! When I met with her a few days later I felt like we clicked immediately and she really listed to what I wanted on my wedding day. Our time together was busy planning for photo locations and talking about the timeline for my wedding day. I could tell she had done this a few times because she had a nice list of things to do, when and where to do them. Overall, I knew that using Mirage Photo was the right choice for me! We talked specifics for the package I needed and came up with a good price that I could actually afford! Score! Samantha was already booked for my wedding day, but she provided me information about their other lead photographer (Justin) and told me that I would like him too. I trusted her and knew it would work for me. She showed me some photos that Justin had taken himself and I agreed that his work was great. A few days later I made the decision to book Mirage Photo and dropped off the payment. My wedding is a year away, but I am already excited for what my photos will look like!

Samantha and Shawn are both incredible to work with. They have photographed our engagement and will be doing our wedding in 2 weeks! They have been so easy and FUN to work with. Shawn and Samantha were absolutely amazing to work with. Shawn is very laid back and Samantha is definitely the go getter. This team of photographers are amazing. They have great ideas and definitely think outside the box. Their creativity is stunning. I have never seen a photo album like the ones they offer. Our wedding album is still the talk of our friends to this day. They have also done family photos for us as well. With a family of 8 that's pretty challenging but let me tell you they nailed it. We did not just end up with "one good picture" we had a whole album full of fantastic family shots. They are also amazing with the little ones. Very patient and quick to get that one second sit still shot that every one year old has. Highly recommend this duo to everyone!!

Samantha and Shawn are awesome! They did photography at our wedding almost 6 yrs ago and we loved them so much that we have continued to use them.
For our wedding Samantha was our photographer. When our limo showed up without ac in 95 degree weather she was nice enough to let some of the wedding party pile into her car to go take pictures. I dont know what i would of done without her. We did pictures outside and were all so so hot but she made it fun and the pictures still turned out amazing!!
We keep going back to Mirage for all of our family and kids pictures now! Their easter and Christmas pictures can't be beat and i have everyone asking where we get them. And they just did my sons newborn pictures and they are so perfect they look like they should be in a magazine!
I highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting wedding photography but also if you're wanting great people who you can keep going back to year after year!

WE LOVE SHAWN & SAMANTHA!!! Two of the coolest, nicest people you will ever meet! And our wedding photos were AMAZING! We had multiple people tell us that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen. They knew all of the perfect spots around St. Louis for great shots, and they kept us on time all day. O.M.G. Samantha and Shawn are two of the funniest amazing photographers we have met! We had so much fun with them at both our engagement session and wedding! Our wedding party raved about them also because they were so awesome! When we first met these two at a bridal show I was instantly sold. They are always up to have fun and try new stuff during shoots. During our engagement session we had so much fun when they let us pop and spray champagne everywhere and they got the PERFECT shot for our save the date!! They make taking pictures so easy and fun! OK Sam and Shawn, you get 5 stars only because that is as high as it goes, otherwise I'd give you a 10. Let me start out by saying...Samantha and Shawn made me feel SO comfortable while taking engagement photos, they laughed with us and are fun to be around. They make you actually really smike instead of posing with the fake smile. Our engagement photos were so awesome and of such high quality that I cannot wait to see my wedding day photos. I could not have asked for a better photographer than Sam Iverson. SHE ROCKS!! Not only is she extremely talented, but she is the best to work with because of her great sense of humor and personality. Samantha and Shawn were absolutely amazing! We decided to do a last minute engagement session 2 days before the wedding. We knew we had chosen the right people after that day. They are hilarious for one and they always made us feel at ease while shooting our pictures. On our wedding day, they did more than just shoot pictures. Samantha helped me with grabbing my bouquet for the bouquet toss, she helped me with me garter, plus she helped organize some of our very eager guests who were wanting pictures. I could not have asked for a better pair of photographers than Samantha and Shawn. The best part was on our wedding day and they surprised is with a few of our photos from our engagement session (Framed as well). Our mouths were on the floor!!! Made our day so much more special. We live in Kansas city, but when we need pictures in the future, we will definitely be calling Mirage photo. Thank you for making our day picture perfect!!

My husband and I loved working with Shawn & Samantha. These have to be the two easiest going individuals on planet earth. We loved our engagement photos, and we absolutely were obsessed with our wedding photos (not to mention the album we got at the end was perfect). Additionally, all of our wedding guests were complimenting us all night on how much fun our photographer was and what amazing photos she had captured. We love Mirage!

OMGGGGG!!! Sam & Shawn were AMAZING! I had the hardest time picking a photographer because of all of the available options, but immediately made up my mind once I met with Sam. She was so down to earth, sweet and fun that I was instantly sold. She genuinely cares about giving you great pictures and was very reasonably priced compared to a lot of the other options I looked at. You spend ALL day with your photographers, so I was so happy and luck to have spent the day with Sam and Shawn. They are wonderful people and I'm so excited to see all the pictures they took on our wedding day. Their website does NOT do them justice, go meet with them and see all of their incredible work in their studio!!!

Mirage was the perfect photographer to work with for our wedding! My fiancé and I were planning an out of town wedding in St. Louis and Sam was so helpful during the entire process. When we first met Sam and Matt, it was love at first sight. Their enthusiasm and personalities meshed perfectly with our goofy care free style. Their art work from past weddings were brilliant and we knew that they would carry over the same creative spirit for our wedding as well. And boy were we right!!! Two weeks before the wedding, my husband and I decided to plan a last minute engagement photo session at Busch Stadium. Even though it started raining halfway through the session, we had the time of our lives. Sam came with so many ideas and the ending results were a munch of masterpieces. Our wedding day was the same way with Matt and Amy. Our energy just kept feeding off of each other the entire day and they brought incredible ideas to the table. Our favorite photo of the entire day was an impromptu shot in front of a random barn at a park. We can not thank you all enough for the beautiful/elegant/spontaneous/goofy pictures that you took. We will cherish these memories forever!

Both are professional and yet---an absolute blast to be around. Their studio of work reflects the amazing pictures they're able to take but they do it with a realism that you can't appreciate until the day of the wedding. My husband and I are extremely glad we chose Mirage as our photographer. Choosing a good photographer is more than just picking someone who can create great images and capture important memories. Not only did they deliver that, but they also made sure the bridal party was having fun, carried my lipstick for me all day to make sure it was touched up appropriately, and helped me relax when I got nervous while getting ready. Vendor to Die for!!...that is the title of the email I sent to everyone I could think of after our wedding. Pictures are my obsession and I knew that this was going to be the most important part of my big day (besides marrying my best friend). From the moment we met them at the bridal show we knew there was no one else we wanted to use for our wedding. They are simply amazing! My husband doesn't love having his photo taken but they are so much fun that he was smiling and posing in any crazy way they asked! Our engagement photos were beautiful and all of our meetings were so much fun! I can't wait to see our wedding photos because I know they will be everything I ever dreamed of!

On the day of our wedding I started getting really nervous and stressed but then Sean and Sam walked in the door and I can't even explain how it just made my mood go to this fun happy place rather than stresssing out. To the extent that even during my service when i started to cry I looked up to see Sean on the balcony taking photos and it immediately brough me back and put a smile on my face. They are the most amazing people you could have by your side on your wedding day. Sam even carried my lip gloss around all day and told me when I needed more! The little things on this big day really meant the world to us!

I will continue to recommend them to everyone I know and can't wait for future family photo shoots and any other reason I can think of to hire them again! They are affordable, flexible and the most amazing people we have ever met! For your big day, I promise you there is no one better.

My wedding took place in St. Charles, MO back in April 2014. Shawn and Samantha shot our wedding and reception, as well as our engagement photos. The quality of their work cannot simply be described in a sentence or two. These two have a unique way of capturing every moment, in photo's that come to life with the candid shots, as well as the classic group photos. The day of the wedding I was able to remain comfortable and relaxed as Samantha quickly adjusted my dress, fluffed each bridesmaid, and double checked the groomsman to make sure they each looked their best for every picture, and it made a huge effect on the photos. Everyone in my bridal party commented on how great our photographers were, how professional they were, and how awesome it was to get back pictures of the event that we didn't even know they shot!

I would highly recommend them for wedding photography, and cannot begin to thank them enough for the pictures we will have for our future family in years to come.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful people at Mirage Photography. I had the great pleasure to work with four different photographers and I could not pick my favorite if I tried they are all amazing! Seriously, I have raved about them to everyone I know. Not only do they do beautiful work, they are an absolute joy to be around. I never knew how important that would be on the day of my wedding but after being in so many other weddings with stiff photographers we realized how amazing they really are! They will be laughing with you and making your day exactly the way you hoped it could be. I think anyone who doesn't use them is really missing out. When I first met Sam and Sean I was in love!! They were very professional but at the same time so easy to talk to and very receptive to what I knew I wanted for my wedding. They repeatedly went out of their way to cater to where I wanted to go and the pictures I wanted to take. From the save the date shoot until the day of my wedding they were incredible. I could actually talk to them too, I feel like we have become friends! I had a list on pinterest of the things I wanted and I asked my maid of honor to carry my phone around on the wedding to show Sean, but there was no need, he knew every picture, he saw my pinterest page and he was so creative I have awesome and unique photographs!! My pictures are amazing and I know my album will be incredible! I can't wait!!

From the moment we met Samantha and Shaun at a wedding show, we knew they were going to be super fun. I was really excited to find a photographer that could put together a package of exactly what I wanted (all day coverage, rights to my pics, etc) that was reasonably priced. My husband was a little worried, because he is not a huge fan of getting his picture taken, but he was very comfortable working with Samantha and Shaun.

Samantha is great at keeping track of everything, making sure we met when needed. She was also fabulous at responding to random wedding questions when I didn't know who else to ask. Our engagement pictures were amazing and Mirage turned them into an awesome guest book.

I've seen all my rehearsal and wedding pics and I can't wait to see the final album when it is put together. Samantha was amazing on wedding day - she helped take care of a lot of little details (like keeping track of the bouquets so they didn't die!) I was also really pleased to see a lot of guest pictures that weren't the typical "everyone at the table gather around and smile".

I would recommend Mirage in a heartbeat. I will definitely be calling them up again should a photographic occasion arise.

I met Sam and Shawn at a wedding show and instantly knew that I wanted to hire them for my wedding. We were not disappointed! Our engagement pictures were fun to take and even more fun to see later. At the wedding there were moments that I didn't even realize they were taking pictures until I saw them later, and they were the most beautiful! Everyone loved them and had a great time taking pictures with them. We couldn't be happier with how things turned out :).

BEST PART OF MY WEDDING (other than marrying my husband)!!!! I found Shawn and Sam through an internet search. I didn't want the traditional, everybody pose and smile photos, it took a while to find the right fit. After meeting with Sam I fell in love with Mirage. I was so excited to start working with them for all of my photo needs. I booked for my engagement pictures and my wedding photos. My engagement pictures were so GOOD! And I was very impressed that Sam didn't freak out that we wanted to include our 4 dogs. She handled it like the pro she is and we got amazing pictures. I was so impressed with the engagement pictures that I booked TWO more shoots with Shawn and Sam. They are called "unbridaled" sessions. The first was my gift to my husband and are traditionally called boudoir photos. Let me tell you, they made me feel so comfortable about being "sexy" and totally got the vibe I wanted to portray to my husband during that shoot. The second Unbridaled session was after my wedding: Trash the Dress. I had so much fun doing this (we know its not for everybody)! I wanted to include my 9 nieces and nephews in some of the pictures and I wanted to include my horse. I couldn't get my horse here so they found an equestrian farm that I could take some pictures at. As for my nieces and nephews, they had a blast trowing paint and me in my wedding gown!! YES, I DID SAY PAINT. Shawn and Sam were up for anything!

On my wedding day, Sam was able to calm my nerves just by being there. I was most nervous about missing all the little moments that most brides and grooms miss in the rush of the day. She assured me that she would capture each moment, and she did. Between Sam and Tayhlor, one of their second shooters, I have the most beautiful pictures of the whole day.

Aside from wonderful pictures, I have made AWESOME friends. I have found my lifetime photographers. I will not be photographed by anyone else than MIRAGE PHOTO!

After selecting our venue, Sam and Shawn were the next people we booked. Once we met them, we knew we would be working together. Their enthusiasm shows in all they do, and they make the sometimes painful all-day picture fest enjoyable and fun. WOW!!! To say that we were very pleased with Samantha and Shawn on our wedding day would be a huge understatement! Their creativity, professionalism and enthusiasm is amazing. You can absolutely tell, without a doubt, that they truly LOVE what they do! My husband, who usually hates to have his pictures taken, says that the pictures were one of his favorite parts of that day! This really says it all! As the Father of a Bride, we normally just pay the bills and stay out of the way. Sam and Shawn truly made the day special for my daughter, my wife, my family, and the entire wedding party. They were professional and respectful.

Wow!WE LOVE SAM & SEAN! My daughter's wedding day was absolutely perfect and we had the absolutely perfect photographers! We met Sam & Sean at a bridal show and fell in love with the pictures they had on display and with them immediately! I do not even know how to explain how great our experience was with Sam and Sean! They made sure that every moment was captured! We had an absolute blast with both of them. Our wedding would not have even been close to what we wanted without them. The amount of energy they have and the love for what they do was amazing. I truly believe they made the day for us! We had the pleasure of having Samantha and Sean take our daughters wedding pictures on October 3 2010 as well as there engagement pictures. They are the easiest people to work with they become part of the family you don't even realize that they are taking pictures. There creativeness is amazing and when you see the final pictures you are just blown away. We now have a family photographer, I cannot express enough how happy we all are with the pictures and how they handled themselves during the whole adventure, they are very professional but laid back at the same time it was just enjoyable no stress. Every picture turned out phenomenal and they are so creative as well, no matter your style they will take care of you. They are just awesome you won't be disappointed. My mother-in-law claims that they are the only people that she will allow to take her picture, that says alot because she refuses to have her picture taken at all! Again I just cannot say enough on how great they are!!!

Samantha with Mirage is incredible, I couldn't say a single negative thing about our experience with her! She photographed our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, so she had the chance to get to know our families and wedding party, and the day of the wedding she was amazing! She was with us from 10 am until 11 pm and positive the whole time. She was so laid back and didn't mind that some of the groomsmen were a little goofy, she was kind to them and let them have fun throughout the whole process, which isn't always true of photographers. She had fun ideas for group shots without being cheesy, she got so many great shots at the reception, and she had an awesome idea for a fun, custom made guestbook of photos from the reception with whiteboards for messages :) Samantha is incredible and I'd recommend her to ANYONE!!!

Mirage Photo was a fabulous choice for our wedding photography! I would never believe people when they would say that the photographer makes or breaks your Wedding Day. Shawn and Sam totally made our day. Talk about two down to earth, fun, easy going people who do a FANTASTIC job at what they do. Mirage Photo made our wedding day so much fun. My fiance wasn't in to the whole wedding planning thing, but after our meeting with Shawn and Sam, he was dead set on that photographer, and it made my job a lot easier! There was no question about it. They fulfilled all of our requests, but also did so much more! They were creative with their job - we have awesome pictures of our rings, a variety of pictures of us together, some posed, some not, and they used several different effects (black/white, sepia, color accent, etc.) Throughout the day, and even up until now, we are still getting compliments on how much fun our photographers were and how awesome our pictures turned out. I really could not ask for more. I had so much fun on my wedding day, and I have some of the best pictures to remember it by!

I was so happy to have selected Mirage Photography as our photographers for our wedding day. Sam and Shawn not only took amazing pictures but made the day fun for all. Samantha and Shawn are the most amazing team. Their energy and enthusiasm for their job make it all worth it. We had so much fun from start to finish! Our engagement pictures were phenomenal and I cannot wait to see our wedding pictures. Where do I start Shawn and Samantha are fantastic photographers! If you have ever dreamed of having amazing photos taken for your wedding or any other special event I will tell you first hand that you would want to pick Mirage Photo! The photos will take your breath away, they will be the photos that you will want to look at over and over again, and want to show everybody! Alittle background on the type of people Shawn and Samantha are... we were going to elope to Colorado and we were just going to have a family relative take our photos but we met Shawn and Samantha at a bridal show a month before our wedding and we knew that we had to have them! They seriously went out of there way to make our day perfect! They drove to Estes Park,Co and took pictures before, during and after the wedding! They were amazing they put the perfect final touches on our wedding day! Zach and I felt like we had known them for a lifetime and they seemed more like family or our best friends! I'm going to sum this up by saying I would recommended Mirage Photo to anybody! I have already told my friends and family about them! We have already booked them for our reception in September, our preganancy session to come, newborn session, and family session! Make your friends jealous, your family cry and yourself beautifully captured on film!

I think we found Sam and Shawn at a wedding show before we were really planning too much. Shawn called us to talk about some great deals they had and we set up a meeting. The meeting proved to be actually a booking because we loved them (and still do)!! They were energetic and extremely interested in what we wanted from our photos. We were looking for a more artsy type of photography that would transcend the years. Sam and Shawn supplied us with still memories that we will be able to look at and smile even fifty years from now, when they are doing our fifty anniversary photos and probably a speech, since we have actually become friends. As I read the other reviews I notice others say this too. I know you may not think you will become friends with your wedding/event photographers, but if it is Sam and Shawn it is just natural. Choosing Mirage Photo was by far the best choice we made while planning our wedding. Not only do we have incredibly gorgeous photos to show for it, but they made our wedding events all the more enjoyable. Shawn and Samantha continued to surprise us with their dedication and attention, and we received service unheard of in the wedding photography market. They spent several (very fun!) hours shooting our engagement photos, traveled an hour to do so, and were even willing to accommodate us for another shoot to involve our beloved dogs. Samantha was eager to answer any silly question I sent her way via multiple emails and phone calls, and always made us feel as though our wedding was a top priority. We had a few hiccups with other vendors on our actual wedding day (including extremely rude staff at our reception venue) and Shawn continually stepped up to smooth things over and make our day more enjoyable. We consider them friends now, and look forward to working with them in the future for family pictures and more! I have already recommended them to friends who are in the process of wedding planning... and will continue to do so. Their skill, service, personalities, and professionalism is unbeatable. I found Shawn & Samantha online through there website and the first time I spoke with them I knew that I had to have them cover my wedding. It was probably the best descision that I made. I had met with several photographers who were just pushy and quite frankly scary. When I first spoke to Shawn & Samantha I felt like I was speaking to my friends, and like many of my friends both of them were there to help me through a very hectic wedding schedule. Not only were they taking amazing photographs, but both of them were also helping out with my wedding. For example, the service at the banquet facility was horrible and my caterer set up the buffet and left. I started panicking and Shawn & Samantha calmed me down and went and attended to my guests. At one point, I looked up and saw them filling people's water glasses. They both went above and beyond what they were required to do, and helped make my special day truly memorable.

I had a traditional Indian wedding so it was a three day event, and all three days they were both there at every event with a smile on there face and a helping hand. Not only are they both easy to get along with, but the pictures they take are truly beautiful. Each shot is taken with such precision and care that it is truly a work of art. They both love what they do and it shows. If they are available for your wedding then do not think twice! It is your good fortune to have them cover your wedding.

The best advice I got when trying to choose a photographer was to choose someone who you can see yourself spending 12 hours with! Instantly I knew I could spend all day with Sam and Shawn, so when we found out there were booked on our date I was disappointed. They did shoot our engagement session on a terribly cold day at steinberg, still turned out beautifully even with the less than desired weather!

However, we met Matt and all hope was restored. I could not have asked for anything more, he was simply amazing and kept our day right on schedule while keeping a sense of humor! Everyone in the wedding party commented on how great he was and it was a treat to spend all day with him :) The second photographer ( I feel awful I cant remember her name, I wanna say amy?) she was spot on with tweaking the little things and equally as easy to spend the day with!

Long and short of it, Mirage has three fantastic and personable photographers and you would be making a great decision in having any one of them shoot your wedding!

December wedding

Sam and Sean were amazing to work with. Both were professional yet funny and fit right in with our family and bridal party. I would not have wanted anyone else to be there on my big day. Sam helped with extras through out the day which was awesome! And they listened to what I wanted, certain shots and locations and they never once got annoyed with any of it even when it was only 20 degrees outside!!!

I got married on October 8, 2016
-I submitted the photos I wanted for my wedding album on May 19, 2017.
-I didn’t hear back until August 25, 2017 where she stayed I would be one of the next designs & it would be about 3 weeks.
-11/2/17 I followed up again to see if they had a preview ready for me to approved. She said they were backed up with albums & I would be one of the next ones.
-1/16/18 I sent them a message checking in..No response
-1/26/18 I sent another message & didn’t get a response until January 29, 2018 which stated they were once again “catching up” and should have someone to me in 3 weeks
-3/4/18 I messaged them again asking for an update & was told that Sean was “wrapping it up” for me.
-3/6/18 I finally received the design for the album, I approved it on March 21, 2018 & she messsage back saying she would get it ordered.
-6/11/18 I messaged them to see if they had an idea on when the album would be in...No response
-6/13/18 I messaged again & she responded on June 14, 2018 saying she had just checked the status & that we would have it soon.
-7/17/18 I messaged to see if the album was here... no response so I messaged again on 7/25/18 voicing my frustrations. She wrote back saying there was an album on the way & she’d check when she got home to see if it was ours... never heard back that day.
-7/31/18 she messaged me saying she was sorry for how long it was taking & offered a free canvas print of a wedding photo, so I submitted which one I would like & thanked her.
-9/4/18 I messaged checking in again... no response.
As of 9/8/18 I still don’t have a wedding album or canvas. When we were choosing wedding photographers we wanted to go with someone that could grow with our family & future children (now have a 7 month old daughter). They took beautiful photos & the album they showed us as an example at our first meeting was one of the coolest I’ve seen with a thick acrylic cover. I am just disappointed.
