We loved it
We used Mikes Amazing Cakes for our elopement. I highly recommend his services. It’s definitely not easy planning an elopement from states away, but he made the process of ordering our cake simple. Not only was the cake delicious, but it was also absolutely stunning. All of our friends were just gushing over it. & our photographer took his name down to recommend to her other clients! We would absolutely order again.

Perfection.
I used to make wedding cakes a long time ago, and have since let that go to pursue a different path in life, so I know a good cake when I see (and taste) one. While my husband said that Mike was a little gruff on the phone, I feel that Mike was a very nice straight forward, no frills kind of guy. Husband was in charge of this vendor at first but I ended up taking over to make sure things were just right :) Mike delivered everything on time, made everything perfectly, was very affordable in my opinion, and was totally cool with us changing our design and flavors up to 10 days prior to the day if we wanted. His cake flavor offerings are delicious, and his buttercream frosting melts in your mouth. Despite the airy texture of the cake frosting, it held up so well in our summer forest wedding (it was in a room that didn't have the best AC). Thanks Mike, we look forward to buying cupcake versions of the cake flavors we chose since everyone gobbled up the cake and we had none left for the two of us after the wedding!!!

Mike's Amazing Cakes are truly AMAZING!!
Mike's Amazing Cakes are truly amazing in design and taste! So far we have ordered two cakes and both were made with quality ingredients and great attention to detail. The first was a 10" printed cake for my husband's 30th birthday. He is car guy so we surprised him with a picture of him driving his car printed on the cake. Theresa was very responsive to my emails to finalize the details of the design. I requested a banner on the cake and the end result perfectly matched the aesthetics! At the birthday party, everyone enjoyed and complimented the double chocolate cake.
The second order from Mike's was our wedding cake. Originally we planned a 3-tier cake made with white pleated buttercream with marble cake and chocolate filling. At our appointment, Theresa was very helpful with determining the size of cake we needed to match our guest count. However, once the pandemic hit, which changed with our wedding plans, Mike's was willing to modify our order to a 6" single tier 4.5" tall cake for our wedding photo session. He called a week in advance to confirm our order and was very fast to answer questions I had by email. Pick up was easy and the cake held it's shape in the warm weather outside for a couple of hours. But just as important, it tasted AMAZING!!

So pretty!
Our cake was beautiful and so delicious! I was able to provide a couple of pinterest photos and they absolutely nailed our design. There are so many cake/frosting flavors to choose from and ours tasted so good. Everything was delivered on time and looked amazing. I cant wait to cut into our last piece on our anniversary!

Beautiful, actually delicious cake
While we didn't really get a chance to eat our cake besides when we cut it, we've heard nothing but rave reviews from some pretty harsh critics. They offer beautiful sample cakes for cheap and we got to choose two different flavor combos to suit our own personalities, plus the design was stunning! We went with a simpler, all-white cake with cable-knit details to fit our Christmas wedding. It definitely stood out surrounded by all the red and plaid! Most importantly, we had some cake connoisseurs in the crowd who said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had!! We will definitely use them again for future cake needs.

Mike's Amazing Cakes did such a great job on our wedding cake! We decided to do two flavors, red velvet with cream cheese frosting on the top and bottom tier and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for the middle tier. Both flavors were absolutely delicious, but I am a hardcore carrot cake fan so that was my favorite. They made the cake tasting so easy to schedule and were so flexible with our times. Theresa is always available to answer questions by email which I appreciated so much and she explained everything so well and made it so easy. The cake was delivered on time and I definitely appreciate all their hard work and would definitely recommend!

Mike's Amazing Cakes came to the rescue for my wedding. A few weeks before our wedding, the original cake company we were going to go through with told us they didn't feel comfortable doing our wedding cake since we just wanted a very small one for my Groom and I to cut and we were going to offer other desserts to our guests. So I was in quite a bind with figuring out what to do about a wedding cake. I contacted Mike's Amazing Cakes and was able to get exactly what I wanted at an amazing deal and they would even deliver the cake the day of our wedding. I can not thank Mike and his amazing staff (Theresa) for helping me (the stressed out Bride to be) take care of the cake and have it be so simple but to me very elegant and exactly what I wanted. Thank you to everyone at Mike's for being so amazing and helping out a stressful situation! Your customer service is amazing and the cake was to die for! Will definitely be ordering cake from you more often!! I highly recommend them for a wedding cake or even a special events cake!

Our cake was amazing! It was very tasty and beautiful. The staff at Mike’s were very helpful, responsive to emails and provided us with many options. The "amazing" in Mike's Amazing Cakes is not hyperbole! My husband and I had a pirate-themed wedding since we were having the wedding on a boat. So we needed an incredible cake to match! Mike did not disappoint. Not only were the three flavors of cake all delicious, the craftsmanship of the kraken, tentacles, and ship decorations were all fantastic. He worked with us to get every detail correct. Truly amazing work!

It's been over a month since our wedding day and I'm still thinking about how delicious our cake was. I wish I could've taken home more cake. We've already decided that on our wedding anniversaries, we plan on getting our anniversary cake at Mike's! During our tasting the samples were excellent and our cake tasted even better on the day of the wedding! There are so many flavor combinations to choose from and it was so hard to narrow it down to just our top two. I think I might have to get our birthday cakes here from now on. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review and thinking about their cakes HAHA.

We visited 2 other bakeries before selecting Mike's Amazing Cakes. When we got to Mike's and saw their elaborate designs, we fell in love but assumed it would be our most expensive option. To our surprise, it was MORE affordable AND better than expected. We ended up doing both a wedding cake and a "groom's cake" so we could have the fun waterfall theme. With so many out of town guests, it was great for them to experience our "Pacific Northwest" cake with delicious flavors like lemon with marionberry. Extremely impressed and would highly recommend.

The name says it all! The cakes are truly amazing. We found a picture online and wanted our cake to be similar but with a slightly different pattern and colors and it turned out perfectly. The thing that really stood out to us was the taste. We went to one of their tasting events and got to sample a variety of flavors. The marble cake with salted caramel buttercream was delicious and we both agreed that it was the best tasting wedding cake we had ever tasted.
Our cake wasn't all that fancy but they have some seriously cool cakes in their gallery so we're planning on getting another cake for some future special occasion!

To be honest, my husband and I are both not huge fans of cake. But we wanted to be traditional for the wedding. Even though our wedding was on Pi day (3/14/15) I do not like pie, so that was out of the question. I just wanted a very simple, square wedding cake with pearl dots on the inner edges and diamonds on the side. Because we booked with Monte Cristo Ballroom we had a voucher for this cake vendor, that covered everything for the cake we chose for 100 people and delivery. I mean we didn't get anything fancy. When it got close to the wedding, we decided the cake flavor would be tiramisu on the bottom (where my husband and I would cut and taste) and salted caramel mocha or something or other on the top. We got many compliments not only on the look of the cake (I mean it was super simple but elegant), but the flavors. The salted caramel flavor was definitely gone before the tiramisu. What also was great is our venue cut each flavor for my husband and I to take home so that we could have some (which is great, because other than the bite I had when cutting, I didn't have any!)
They also delivered it on time and always was attentive. Great choice for a wedding cake vendor.

We loved working with Mike's Amazing Cakes. Every appointment and email contact with them was professional and efficient. I changed my mind so many times on what I wanted and they were so accommodating.
The cake they delivered the day of the wedding was stunning and absolutely EXACTLY what I envisioned. We did a four-tiered buttercream frosting cake with some detail work and some edible ribbon. It could not have looked better.
As for the taste, holy cow was it delicious! We selected their chocolate cake with Bailey's chocolate chunk filling, a coconut cake with pineapple mousse filling, and the groom's cake was a tiramisu cake. They were all to die for. TO DIE FOR. The cake was moist (wedding cake is often dry) and the fillings were decadent. So delicious.
Delivery was on time, the cake showed up in one piece with absolutely no blemishes.
I'd recommend them to anyone.

When our reception was over we had no cake left - that says a lot right there! The cake was the best cake I have had. They had so many good combinations to choose from. We chose to do half in chocolate cake with salted carmel mousse and the other half in white with raspberry mousse. Amazing! They also put the ribbon and cake topper on for us - we were so happy with the end result. I would highly recommend for cake.

Where do I begin? I was dead set on having a traditional wedding cake for our September wedding, but my husband was extremely resistant to the idea. I began researching cake vendors online, and came across Mike's Amazing Cakes. I spoke with Theresa, who was so friendly and responsive to my needs. I arranged a private cake tasting earlier on a day when they do an "open house," which was a great way to taste more flavors than are typically offered. Mike's has a HUGE selection of flavors - the hardest part of the process was narrowing it down. Aside from that, they are super easy to work with. Theresa was able to extract exactly what I wanted for my cake. I submitted a few photos of ideas I liked, and then she worked with me to get it down just right. The cake was delivered right on time the day of the wedding. It was not only gorgeous, but it truly tasted as good as it looked, which is sometimes an issue with wedding cakes. It was perfectly moist and packed with flavor. All of our guests loved it! Mike's Amazing Cakes also offers an amazing value for what you get. They are very affordable, which is a huge plus! Definitely check out Mike's Amazing Cakes if you are in need of a wedding or special event cake. They also do some great cake art if that's your thing!

One of the most amazing finds ever as far as my wedding went! The location where you meet with these guys is in Redmond in Microsoft land, and their office is not super nice, but their service is amazing, their responsiveness is awesome, and their cake?? The most delicious I've had! Got soo many compliments on how good it was!!! Also, the value, wonderful, way cheaper than many fancier (but not as tasty) seeming Seattle shops.

Sent them an email on the cake I wanted ours to look like and made it look exactly to it. I was impressed. All I had to provide was the ribbon for each tier and they took care of the rest. Their base prices were lower than other bakers we checked around with plus we had a Seattle Wedding Show discount which helped! Their delivery fee was only $50 because they are based in Redmond delivering to downtown Bellevue, not bad. I also got to choose up to two cake flavors which was red velvet with cream cheese and the other was almond poppyseed cake with an amaretto buttercream. Delish!

The cake was not a super important aspect of the wedding for us, so we were thrilled that Mike's could give us a cute, affordable cake with very little hassle! We came to them kind of at the last minute, and they were fantastic about getting everything taken care of. We went in to look at designs and try some flavors, then we did most of the planning with them through email, figuring out exactly what we needed for a good price. They also offered side cakes if the tiers weren't an appropriate amount for our guests so we were able to "customize" how much cake to serve.

Mike's Amazing Cakes did a great job. We had tasted a few cakes from various vendors and Mike's was easily the best tasting. They were very friendly and patient with us as we went through several designs before settling on our first design (of course!).
We also had a custom cake topper made and it turned out perfectly! We had to provide photos and descriptions of the two of us and the results were amazing. The cake topper had a bride and groom that looked very much like us. It turned out so much better than we imagined.
All of our guests loved the cake and we loved the results.

It was fun going to the cake tastings. We would think we agreed on a flavor and then kept changing our minds because they were all so good. We ended up with two. I wanted a very simple cake and after the florist added a few flowers to it, it was exactly as I envisioned...perfect. We had left over cake and my mom shared it at her work with just as many raves as we received at the wedding. I saved the top layer for our anniversary but I think we will get it out on our one month anniversary and order a small cake on our 1 year anniversary since I'm anxious to taste the cake again (since I didn't get to eat very much at the wedding). I would strongly recommend Mike's Amazing Cakes. It was amazing!

We havent actually dug into the grooms cake. It was so pretty that no one wanted to cut it! But well be diving into its chocolate deliciousness soon. We had it custom designed by them to be a stack of records with my husbands band name/logo on the top. It turned out fantastic!

I had got my groom's cake from there. Since our dog is a big part of our lives I wanted him at the reception. Since dogs aren't allowed I got the next best thing. I had searched online and couldn't find a place that looked really good to me. Then I stumbled apon Mike's Amazing Cakes and my jaw dropped. It was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the dog and they even put a chocolate banner on it that read "Congratuations Mommy and Daddy, Love Scampers" People to this very day still talk about how amazing the cake was. Mike's Amazing Cakes is exactly that - AMAZING! They made a beautiful wedding cake for our wedding, customized and delivered. They were very responsive and made sure that all of our needs were met and worked within our budget.
I've been to a few wedding shows before my wedding, and the taste of the cakes versus other cake vendors was far superior.
We've used Mike's Amazing Cakes for our anniversary cake [they recreated the top tier for us, so we wouldn't have to eat year old frozen cake!] and every experience is better then the next.

Mike's Amazing Cakes did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. They have monthly cake buffets that helped us pick out what flavors we wanted and the team did a great job estimating pricing for us. All we did was send them two pictures and our cake turned out exactly the way we wanted. I don't think you can beat the price either. The other places we were looking at would have been 3x more expensive. I do think that the cake was a little bit dry, but otherwise amazing. The only other negative piece was that upon delivery they didn't bring a box to put our top tier cake in and I thought they said they would. Other than than super easy and great experience!

Our cake tasted so good I didn't even believe it myself. We had them build a simple white tower cake and they said "no problem." Much cheaper than anywhere else and the flavors were fantastic. Our cake was amazing -- it was a custom design made just for us. It was a bunny bride and a bear groom on a lush green hillside with trees. It was one of the highlights of the wedding. Everyone was charmed and amazed by it. I don't understand the very negative comment from a previous reviewer. We were greeted warmly, treated respectfully and all of our questions (including several about costs) were answered completely. We were contacted several times during the design process to insure it would be the cake we really wanted. The man who delivered the cake was polite and very careful on our wedding day. An excellent experience.

Mike's staff is great to work with. We first went in for a open tasting and quickly realized we'd need to come back again for an appoitnment so we could work out details. It's amazing how much help it is to see foam versions of what your cake will be sized like and look like. Really helps give you some perspective. Our cakes were vanilla with raspberry and red velvet with buttercream. Both were delish! Althrough the day of our only taste were done during photos and we never got the chance to make it back for more! We plan to go back for our 1st ann. and get a replica of our top level to share and celebrate with!
I should note, we had a jump in RSVP's the last few day leading up to the wedding, and Mike's was able to work with us to make sure we had an extra sheet cake in order to accomidate for the extra guest.

A fun and tasty cake
Mike made a cake like we were hoping for and was flexible for us in not using fondant. Instead, he used modeling chocolate to make a beautiful cake for us! The flavor was great and he was flexible during Covid to get us tastings so we could choose the flavors we wanted. I, the groom, had the task of ordering the cake for our wedding. The bride is not a huge fan of cake, plus she is vegan/gluten-free and opted for her own cupcakes. So I decided on Mike's Amazing Cakes because of the location, reviews, and the name! We went for two cake tastings first (one public and one private). I liked all the cool and unique flavors but wanted a simple three tiered design for about 70 people. They said they would call me a couple weeks before the wedding to confirm the flavors, but they never did so I had to call them instead. I chose chocolate cake with salted caramel filling and vanilla with orange and peach schnapps filling. Both flavors were a huge hit with the wedding guests! I know I didn't have the cake people use their amazing decorating skills but they made a simple yet elegant cake that tasted awesome! Light and fluffy! Not too heavy or sickly sweet.

Mike's was so easy to work with! They were on board with our original idea for a crazy cake, and accommodating when we decided to scrap that for something classier. We loved going to the cake buffets on the weekends to try out all the different flavors. I also liked that they were not afraid to give their opinion on what would work and what wouldn't work. Cake was delicious the day of and arrived promptly. My only regret is not going for something a little more outrageous since I know what they are capable of! Love that they are a lot more affordable than other cake vendors.

I absolutely loved my cake from Mike's Amazing Cakes! I loved the way it turned out, and it was exactly how I wanted it. I had so many people compliment my cake and everyone loved how it tasted. We had a 2 tiered cake and a grooms cake. They went together. The main cake was simple with horizontal icing and we had the florist add just a couple of flowers to it and it had my husbands favorite mascot peaking out from the bottom of the cake and the grooms cake was a football field with footprints of icing walking over to the big cake. They delivered the cakes and left extra icing as requested so I could make the footprints =) The cake was delicious. We had the banana and Kahlua cream icing..YUM! I would buy a cake from them again, especially if you want to have them make something extra to add to it.

Their staff is incredibly organized and prompt about calling in advance of deliveries to confirm all the details (we ordered two sample cakes a month in advance, and they demonstrated their excellent service then AND with our wedding cake). While our cake was relatively simple, they gave us all the attention we could want to get it right. Delivery was requested at a late time, and they were able to squeeze us in, delivering it perfectly on time the day of. Our guests absolutely loved the coconut cake with orange filling. I can't wait to have a reason to create a "crazy" cake with them, as is their specialty. Two enthusiastic forks up!

I had planned to go in another direction for our cake so stumbled upon researching cakes late. I'd heard of Mike's Amazing Cakes and their award-winning cake and had pretty much written them off as "too expensive" but was desperate so I inquired via email. Boy was I wrong! They're cake was not only delicious but very affordable. What I loved was that I could get my big tiered cake without the big cost! The cake is delicious and you almost can't beat their pricing for a "standard" wedding cake. They also do the crazy sculpted cakes, which we got as a groom's cake since we had all sorts of cake budget left over. Everyone LOVED how the cakes looked and tasted. I sampled several different cakes at the Seattle Wedding Show and these guys were one of the standouts. I was honestly shocked at how affordable their pricing was, given how good their cake was. They also have a ton of flavors available. My only caveat is this: if you make an appointment for a tasting, you will only be able to try the two flavors of the week, which you'll have no control over. However, they offer cake buffets about once a month where they'll have several (8-10) flavors available for tasting. They're also happy to box up their current weekly flavors for you to take "to-go", if you're able to come pick them up (their located in Redmond, just off 520). They were also very easy to work with, despite us changing our order two weeks before the wedding (our guest count wound up lower than expected, so we needed a smaller cake).

I was very impressed with the quality and taste of the cakes from Mike's Amazing cakes. My fiance and I came across them at the Seattle Wedding Show and were sure they would be too expensive for our tight budget since we had heard such amazing things about them. We were able to get a coupon, however, that made them the same price as places like Safeway or Top Foods.
We ended up getting two flavors for our 4 tier cake, raspberry and passion fruit. The cake tasted great! We went with a basic butter cream without any frills to cut down on cost and added orchids ourselves to make it look a little richer.
People were actually fighting over the slices of cake because they wanted more. It was great to know we got an amazing cake at a good price and everyone enjoyed.

Mike's Amazing Cakes was great to work with for our wedding cake. We scheduled a one-on-one meeting to discuss our cake and were able to try several samples at that time. Theresa also invited us to an open tasting that weekend, where you can try many flavors- picking your flavors is probably the hardest part! The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing at our wedding. The only downside was that it was pretty pricey; the pricing is done per serving, so our simple cake cost the same as a more elaborate one of the same size. Due to wildfires, our original wedding venue was evacuated and was moved two days before the wedding. Theresa was very accommodating and had no problem delivering the cake to a new location. However, even though our second venue was closer than the original, the delivery charge was the same. If you are looking for a detailed wedding cake or one with many different delicious cake and filling options, this is the place to go!

Our cake looked exactly as we had imagined, and showed up on time. We loved eating it, and were sad to find that the leftovers had been eaten completely while we were on our honeymoon. We went with mikes because all the decorative aspects of their cakes are always precise and well done. If you're not getting one of their very unusual cakes, the prices are pretty good too.

I originally thought that Mike's would be way out of our budget due to their "amazing" designs, but we got a coupon for 10% off at the Seattle Wedding Show. Our total cake was less than $400 for 125 servings. We attended 2 or 3 tastings, which were nice since they had 6 or so flavors to try at each tasting. We chose to have 2 flavors, a 4 tiered cake, and an undecorated side cake for additional servings. The only issues we had were that when my fiance went to pick the cake up the day before the wedding, they forgot to give him the side cake. He was busy and stressed that day, so he didn't think twice about it. It wasn't until he got to the rehearsal venue that I noticed he didn't have it. He called them right then and they made it right by delivering the side cake the morning of he wedding. The other issue is that one of the tiers was the wrong flavor, leaving us with 3 layers of lemon cake and only 1 layer of chocolate (the most popular choice for my family). Although the did send us a gift certificate for the value of the incorrect tier, it would have been nice to have had it correct in the first place. Our order form was correct. Overall, the cake was gorgeous. We went with buttercream instead of fondant and it was definitely the SMOOTHEST buttercream frosted cake I have ever seen. The design itself was perfect! I would definitely recommend Mike's, just make sure you get everything you're supposed to...especially if you forgo their $50-$100 delivery fee and pick it up yourself.

Mikes was great to work with. I had a specific cake design in mind an spoke to another few vendors who "hmmed and hawed" and basically told me they could give it a try, then we went to mikes and our consultant whipped out the exact picture of the cake I wanted!!
It was delivered and perfect - exactly how I wanted it, and everyone raved that it was delicious! They also have wonderful cake tasting open-houses!

Best cake ever! Not exaggerating
Mike's amazing cakes was one of the highlights of our wedding. The guests were so impressed! The DJ said it was the best hes ever seen and encouraged other guests to come check it out.
Flavors: best cake I've ever had, not exaggerating. We chose strawberry banana and chocolate peanut butter and salted caramel.
They were there right on the dot too! Very prompt.
Would give 5 stars if better communication. Reply to emails and voicemails. The only way to communicate seems to be getting them while they're in the office over the phone

Our cake turned out exactly how we wanted it, except for one thing. There was way too much frosting! When my husband and I did our cake cutting, when we cut into it, all we got was frosting. And we cut a good inch and a half or so into the cake. We actually were told after the wedding that one of the catering people came and talked to my mom about the cake and wanted to let us know that there was so much frosting that they were getting people coming back asking for a different piece of cake because the one they received had too much. Because of this, we didn't get to save the top of our cake for our anniversary because we ended up serving it to our guests.
We were extremely impressed with everything else about Mike's Amazing Cakes. The price was the most affordable that we found in the area, they were extremely helpful, delivered the cake on-time, everyone I worked with was great. It was just the frosting. When you spend as much as you do on a wedding cake, you want to actually get to enjoy the wedding cake and not just get a sugar high on eating a bunch of frosting.

I loved the taste of their cakes and fillings, ours turned out so well. The cost was great, but it depends on how much art you want on your cake. We just went with something simple and it turned out perfect. Again great quality cake for low cost!

A cake was not something I really cared about until I saw my cake on my wedding day. It is now one of my favorite things about my day. I wish I could have looked at it more!! Tasted awesome too!

I wanted a tiered cheesecake, which very few places would consider. PLUS, I am a vegetarian, so I didn't want fondant on the outside (not vegetarian), but most of the places required a fondant covering. After showing a picture of and describing what I wanted, they were confident they could do it. The final product was wonderful! Although I paid extra for the fresh berries, it was worth it for the convenience and ease. It looked beautiful and tasted great-- even a year later. They may have overestimated how much cake we needed, but I'd rather have too much than not enough.

With such amazing reviews and recommendations it was a no brainer to go with Mike's Amazing Cakes for our wedding cake. The process was easy, the cake tasted great and the expense was low. Our only disappointment was that when the cake was delivered onsite either the wrong supports were sent or there was a miscommuniation with our florist...The cake was 4 tiers and designed to have the 3" gaps between the gaps filled with real flowers. The type of supports that were sent with the cake were not strong and the cake was unsteady once assembled as designed. If the table upon which the cake sat was bumped or nudged the cake would sway, which was a scary experience. We had to keep guests away from the cake all night for fear of cake toppling over (defeats the point of having a pretty cake for people to look at). Everything turned out fine in the end, but whatever happened with the supports was disappointing.

This was the greatest cake ever. All of our guests were talking about it all night! I didn't I've them perfect ratings just because it was kind of expensive and the communication was not the best. I really only heard from them the three times I reached out to make the tasting appointment, to pay and to confirm. It would have been nice to have them call to confirm the delivery date or to invoice for payment. I really was relying on their reputation to ensure the cake would even be there. But it was and it was amazing!

First let me start by saying these guys make delicious beautiful cake! They are pretty spendy for what you get, but if your budget allows for cake then let there be cake! we paid 400 for a four tear cake that fed 75 people. it was plain white with dirty frosting. However to eat it was like floating on clouds in heaven. They really are a wonderful company with awesome employees. i would recommend them to everyone just keep in mind if your on a tight budget like we were it doesn't leave much room for creativity.

Great price and wonderful cake. They have so many choices and you can stop in about 3 times a month for tastings of all the great flavors. I would go there again for a special occasion cake!

The front office was a little disorganized and lost our order. We re-did it and the end product was INSANELY AMAZING! Our guests couldn't believe it was a cake!
