  Such a great wedding vibe!

  Michael was such a good DJ!! He was so kind and fun, and his song mix during the dancing was perfect. He knew the venue, the vibe of the crowd, and what we had to plan for. He helped organize the party so it flowed so smoothly. We got compliments all night on the music! Michael absolutely killed it, and we would recommend him to anyone!

  Michael wasn't my original DJ I hired, my DJ cancelled last minute due to snow and my coordinator hired him the day before the wedding. I didn't meet him until we walked into the reception but I am confident in saying that Michael was the best part about the reception. He had all my notes and all my requests and he kept the party going on all night. We didn't even do the garter/bouquet toss because everyone was having so much fun on the dance floor. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and the amount of compliments I got about the music and atmosphere was endless. Thank you Michael for making our most memorable night nothing short of amazing.

  Working with Michael for our destination wedding was awesome--one of the BEST decisions we made for our vendor team! Michael was extremely organized and was able to provide everything we needed from ceremony music to cocktail hour, first dances, and dance party. Michael sends an event timeline for his clients to fill out beforehand which made it extremely easy to create the flow of the ceremony and reception. Most importantly, Michael knows how to throw a dance party! It was honestly the best part of the wedding for my husband and I. He kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night, which was extremely important to us. He was able to combine our personal style of music with guest favorites. All of our friends keep talking about the dance party at our wedding, and it wouldn't have been possible if not for Michael. Thanks Michael--we will be recommending you to all our friends!

  Working with Michael is one the best decisions we made during wedding planning! From start to finish Michael was a true professional. He listened to our musical tastes, asked the right questions to make sure he understood our vision and came through with great recommendations for our layout (to ensure the flow was right.) More than that, Michael (and Mike'd UP Productions) are a full service operation! Our wedding venue in Portland Oregon was non-traditional (Yale Union) which meant we had to source in everything ourselves (including lighting). Michael not only DJ'd the event but provided all the lighting - from uplights to cafe light strings, his creativity and expertise made the large warehouse space feel warm and welcoming to all our guests. People were dancing THE WHOLE NIGHT. It was not just our friends on the dance floor, Michael created a vibe that kept all generations up and on their feet - it was really amazing. We would recommend Michael without hesitation, you can stop right here - you have found your DJ!

  Michael is just what our wedding needed to take it to the next level. I am pretty particular when it comes to guest experiences at an event and I knew I didn't want some speakers in a corner playing 'whatever' type of music all night for my own wedding. I needed someone who could transition the vibe of the party from the ceremony, into happy hour, into dinner and then ramp up the dance floor for the rest of the night. Michael was all of that and much more. He is so accommodating to work with, very professional and understood my vision for how I wanted the wedding to flow and was able to get all of the guests on the same page. One of the things Michael did that I most appreciated, was his subtle yet effective way of keeping us on time. He would gently check in with us if we were ready for the next thing (grand entrance, cake cutting, etc.) and then make sure everything was ready for that to happen and then just got it going. I never felt rushed or behind, or like I was just waiting for the next thing to happen; Michael just seamlessly strung it all together. It was awesome not having to worry about that.
  I felt like I was in great hands throughout the entire process with Michael and couldn't have been happier with how the evening turned out. He was a little more expensive than some of our other options but in the end, he was so worth it and really helped bring together my vision.

  We are beyond thankful that Mike was the DJ for our wedding. People of all ages told me that this was the so far beyond the best dance party they had ever been to at a wedding. Our dance floor was packed until the very last song and I am pretty positive 80% of our guests were on the dancefloor all night. I looked up in the middle of dancing and actually thought to myself "Oh my gosh. I can't believe this is actually my wedding." Beyond his ability to pack the dance floor Mike is incredibly professional, comes with some of the best equipment you can buy (seriously, I know quite a bit about this stuff) and can handle any situation.
  
  Do yourself a favor and hire him. Oh, and be sure to add on his full lighting package. It is the most cost effective way to make a design impact on your space and only uplevels the whole dance floor experience.

  Mike did a an excellent job DJing our wedding. He was very professional and helped queue everyone up and make sure we were on schedule. We selected genres of music (instead of providing a song list) for each portion of our reception and his song choices fit our preferences perfectly. Highly recommend!

  We were absolutely blown away by the quality, professionalism and talent of Michael Duncan at Miked Up Productions. From the first time we met, up until the day after our wedding when he was still at the venue taking his equipment down, he had a smile on his face, a fun attitude and was just an all around great experience to work with. Our wedding was on New Years Eve and Michael went above and beyond to create the exact mood and atmosphere we were hoping for. The ceremony was all winter wonderland and romantic with soft acoustic remixes of popular songs, microphones to project our voices to our rather larger crowd and snow machines to create a fun recessional. He was the most excellent MC, guiding us through all the important moments of the reception and then proceeded to host THE MOST incredible dance party that went ALL night! Our dance floor was packed with our guests of all ages! He was able to play the perfect mix of old classics, new popular music, country and everything in between with seamless transitions and fun remixes. I was thoroughly impressed with Michaels ability to read the crowd above all else, he seemed to know what we wanted to hear before we had a chance to make a request! Not to mention the extremely impressive lighting equipment he brought with him to create our exciting New Years Eve party!! And we didn't even take advantage of all Michael has to offer in terms of services!! To say that we were satisfied with our experience is an understatement...we would book him again and consider him one of our best purchases for our wedding day! It would not have been the same without him!

  We were very impressed especially with Mike's professionalism and flexibility! We had our wedding at a private house and had the ceremony, reception, and after party in three different locations on the property. He set up in all three and ran the microphones and music for the entire day/night. The music during cocktail hour and dinner was especially great - relaxed and spirited indie music. Our nephew and some other little ones started dancing right away during the dinner hour. After toasts and cake we got to dancing and I felt like the dance floor stayed packed for a long time - it was so much fun :) Mike did a fabulous job and we were very happy with our choice of choosing him! We would highly recommend - thanks Mike!!

  Just want to say if you want an AWESOME party that keeps the dance floor packed all night, hire Mike. Our wedding was an absolute blast and music is a crucial ingredient to a good time. Mike delivered and we are so happy he made our special night memorable and one for the books!

  Mike was a last-minute referral from our planner (the wonderful Katie at Wonderstuck Events) when we realized we had never figured out what we were doing for music at our wedding. I am so, SO glad we found him.
  
  He fit us in for a consult that same week, and he was great to work with. When we said, "Uhhh... we don't really have strong music preferences... at all," I was worried he wouldn't know what to do with us, but he easily figured out what we were going for, and he played the perfect mix of songs.
  
  He also did all the setup for our friend who played guitar and sang for our processional, and it sounded amazing.
  
  We achieved our goal of getting people to dance at our brunch wedding, and there's no way we could've done it without Mike. People are still thanking us for how much fun they had, and Mike was a HUGE part of that. I can't say enough good things about him.

  My husband and I loved working with Michael. He catered to our wide range of tastes in music and even worked in a "trappy hour" at the end of the night featuring hip hop and rap music (edited to be family friendly) for my husband and his friends. Michael played a great mix of dance-able music from current hits to old school throwbacks which all of our guests loved. Michael also MC'ed our wedding and did an excellent job of moving our guests through the multiple rooms in the venue throughout the night. Michael was incredibly professional and was always quick to respond to calls and emails from my wedding coordinator and me. Thank you Michael for helping make our wedding a complete success (and dealing with my husband constantly requesting songs :) )

  We couldn't have picked a better DJ. Planning a wedding is stressful but this was one aspect of the planning that felt effortless, he answered questions that I didn't even think to ask, made us feel at ease the whole time, and we felt like he really got us which proved to be true with every song that was played. He really helped create a mood and fun atmosphere that our friends and family are still talking about.

  I can not recommend Miked Up enough. Michael helped make our wedding amazing. He is easy to work with and can give you exactly what you are looking for. My wife and I gave him a few songs to play (and a few not to play) and then just let him roll with the rest. He knows how to read a crowd and an event to make it a great night.
  My favorite memory though took place a few days after the wedding while working with our Caterer. She went out of her way to mention that in all the weddings she's done, she hadn't see a DJ as good as Michael.
  Thanks Miked Up, our wedding wouldn't have been the same without you!

  Miked Up did the music and lighting for our wedding and it was amazing. Michael was able to get the perfect combination of old hits and new hits to get a wide variety of people on the dance floor, making our wedding one of the best dance parties I've ever been to. We had people talking about our wedding for weeks afterwards! We've all been to wedding where the DJ bounces from country to hip hop to pop to rap with no rhyme or reason, causing mass exodus on the dance floor, and where the crowd just never gets into the music. With Miked Up, you will not have to worry about that! As an added bonus, Miked Up did the lighting for the venue, which was a large warehouse space with white walls...as the even progressed the walls became a dramatic backdrop for a spectacular lighting show. The music and lighting literally pulsed together creating a really fun environment. Well worth every penny and more!

  My wife and I could not have been happier with the services and would recommend Miked Up Products to anyone looking to have any event productions - we felt that they helped to really set us apart from all the rest.
  
  Miked Up was extremely professional and helped us more than we ever could have imagined... They had so many tips and pieces of advice for our wedding that you'd think they were part time wedding planners! We were having a hard time finding a good but cheap photographer and Miked Up set us up with a great referral. Apart from the production value they brought, the music could not have been more perfect - trust Michael with your music and he will keep people dancing and having fun all night!
  Overall Miked Up Productions made our wedding night more amazing than we could have hoped for and we highly recommend him for events of all types!

  Worked with Mike to DJ our wedding this summer. He was professional, open to our ideas, worked hard to help us realize our vision for the entire evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor all night. Lots of people were dancing that I didn't think I would ever see on the dance floor! We have had numerous guests tell us how great the music was and how fun it made the evening. You will not be disappointed if you work with MikedUp Productions.

  Last fall, Michael did a great job as dj for our shared high school reunion (that’s how dedicated he is!) so I reached out to him when planning my wedding. He responded immediately, suggesting a meeting to make sure we were a good personality fit and that he could provide what we wanted. Since I was living in NYC at the time, we had a Skype meeting. He was very knowledgeable, we felt comfortable with him, and it helped that he had done many other weddings at our venue (Willows Lodge). His rate was very reasonable, and there was no nickel and diming - it was one price that covered our entire event, all equipment, set up, and break down, and he assured us that he would be there for us all day.
  
  In truth, Michael did much more than just dj our wedding - he handled so many aspects of the event. He provided speakers during the ceremony as well as discreet microphones for the officiant and groom to wear so that all guests could hear. He set up lighting that transformed the atmosphere of the reception room. We gave him very few specifics in terms of the background and dance music, and he nailed it. He knows what music is appropriate for each segment of the wedding and what works with a diverse crowd. Once the dance party got started, it lasted until the end of the night.
  
  Most importantly, Michael guided the whole event seamlessly. From our grand entrance to speeches to first dances to cake cutting, he made sure we stuck to our timeline. Michael worked really well with our photographer and the venue coordinator. He thought of things that I never would have and took charge, without being overpowering, to keep the evening going smoothly. My husband and I were able to just enjoy our party.
  
  Michael did an amazing job, and I am so glad we hired him. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a dj/emcee for any event. He has the professionalism and experience to make sure your event goes smoothly and the creativity to make it just what you want it to be.

  Michael was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and kept our wedding guests (and us) dancing all night long!!! He's an incredible DJ and is able to entertain in all settings and with all different types of music. If you want the best, look no further.

  Great DJ for our wedding. We met with Michael a few months before our wedding, and were pleased from the beginning. Very easy to talk to, and has done plenty of weddings which he used to help make suggestions about what works and does not work. We chose the music, and he mixed it together, which made for a fun afternoon of dancing and many great memories. He also helped out with lighting during the ceremony which was help at Beaver Lake Lodge, which can tend to be a little dark in the pavilion. We would definitely recommend Miked Up Productions for weddings, and any other event.

  Mike was a great DJ. He was very professional and didn't disappoint with the music. My husband and I have extremely different tastes in music but neither of us were deprived of our music choices. Mike made sure to have a mix of what we both liked because he asked us ahead of time what we wanted so he made sure he had everything he needed. If /when I ever need a DJ again, I will definitely book him.

  Michael made our wedding come to life. He was easy to work with, organized and the perfect MC for our crazy wedding. His lighting and music made our wedding reception the best party I've ever been to - he even supplied glow sticks for our guests! Hands-down, the experience he created was the most talked about part of our entire wedding. I have and will continue to recommend Michael to anyone who wants to throw a memorable wedding reception or party.

  We could have not been happier with Michael, Theresa and Miked Up Productions--we were late on booking a DJ and are so grateful that we found them! They were the absolute best, quick to respond and even made a trip to the venue (on a week night no-less) so that they knew what they were walking into day-of. This meant a lot to us and showed how much they cared about their job and us. When the venue began having a problem with the neighbor weeks prior to our wedding we had to make a super difficult decision--move the dancing inside. Michael supported us in this decision (though none of us wanted it), worked with our coordinator the entire time and made sure our day was perfect and that it was! Jeremy and I felt blessed to have these two be a part of our day and our amazing team. Thank you both for helping make our day what it was--PERFECT!

  Mikedup productions was easy to work with and went above and beyond my expectations. I was able to go from a traditional, rustic wedding ceremony to a swanky, upbeat reception. They were able to play all of my requests; from my OCD order of the ceremony, to the obscure metal my husband and groomsmen insisted on moshing to. Mike and his lovely assistant were able to work well on their own which was necessary when my flowers did not show up and I was making my bouquet moments before walking down the aisle.   Mikedup productions was easy to work with and went above and beyond my expectations. I was able to go from a traditional, rustic wedding ceremony to a swanky, upbeat reception. They were able to play all of my requests; from my OCD order of the ceremony, to the obscure metal my husband and groomsmen insisted on moshing to.   Michael Duncan was an excellent choice for our wedding DJ. We had a very scripted plan for our ceremony that was dependent on music cues, and Michael performed exactly as expected. He was very flexible and accommodating with us throughout the entire planning/scheduling process, patient with us when we were very busy, and very helpful when we needed suggestions and planning help for the reception. He was on time when we asked him to arrive, was set up and ready to go, and had the dance floor full until the end of the event. We have had many compliments from friends on the great music he played. We would highly recommend him to DJ your wedding or other event.

  My husband and I recently used Michael for our wedding. He was organized, extremely knowledgable, helpful at every step of the way, and played exactly what we wanted. He worked with us to develop the perfect musical background to all parts of the wedding - ceremony, cocktail hour, reception. We had a few unusual requests, but he met them exactly, and added a great mixture that fit well. He also provided lighting for our reception, adding a great touch to an already beautiful venue. It was just enough, and exactly what we wanted (even though we didn't know what we wanted at first). We couldn't be happier with choosing Michael!

  Mike did a great job at our wedding. We married on an island that required a ferry to access it; when he realized the ferry line was too long, he drove a few hours around to a bridge and made it all happen without worrying me, my guests, or increasing costs - really amazingly flexible and above and beyond when it comes to most wedding vendors.
  
  Our guests liked his music and he was EXCELLENT at taking requests - he would typically play the song they asked for very next, which is unusually responsive. He did a nice job integrating new stuff for my friends and older stuff for my parent's friends, and managed to get just above everyone dancing to something at some point in the night.
  
  I even gave him a little feedback afterwards for next time (none of which were his fault, all of which had to do with our venue/layout), and I was impressed with his eagerness to grow and improve his business, as all good businesspeople should.
  
  You won't go wrong with Mike - his pricing is very reasonable and his professionalism and skills are well above industry standard. Nice job Mike - we can't wait to see you again at our friend's wedding in a few weeks!

  Mike coordinated my wedding on July 13th. He went above and beyond. He is AMAZING and I will be referring him to everyone I know. He is funny, talented and dedicated. One of the best parts of my wedding! Thanks Mike you are incredible!

  My husband and I saw Michael working at a friends wedding and were so happy with his work there we asked him to do our wedding. He made the whole wedding process easy and was very accommodating with meeting times. His professional suggestions and knowledge of how weddings flow made our wedding all the better.He played a great variety of music that got everyone up and dancing. His professional manor and work ethic are one of his best qualities. I would suggest him to anyone who is getting married as there DJ.

  My wife and I heard about Miked Up productions from a friend while we were planing our wedding. He charged a lot less than other DJ's we had looked into, so we set up a meeting with him. After speaking with with him in person and seeing his level of professionalism and experience, we could tell we were getting a bargain and hired him on the spot. From that point on I never had to worry about the reception because he did it all. The day of the wedding he showed up several hours in advance and set everything up without getting in the way of anyone (I didn't even notice him). Once the reception got started I really understood the value of the service he provided: it was a lot more than just setting up speakers and selecting songs. He was able to keep everything moving: once it was time to move from cocktail hour to dinner, he was the one to politely and unobtrusively get our guests to take their seats. Once it was time to make toasts, he got it started and made sure there were no surprises from overexcited family members. This is how our evening went; smoothly flowing from one event to the next, facilitated by Mike. After seeing him in action at my wedding and two other weddings, I would confidently recommend him to anyone. If you are someone who wants to just hire a DJ and not have to plan anything else, he is perfect for the job. If you are someone who wants to plan every detail yourself and just need someone to execute it, he can do that as well.

  What wonderful things can I say? Mike did a FANTASTIC job. I was extremely nervous about getting a DJ for my wedding reception because (like every other bride) I felt I had a lot of demands. Mike really made my fears just disappear though. Every time we spoke he was very understanding and very willing to find random songs and make last minute changes. He was very punctual and professional. I can honestly say not one person in attendance complained. Everyone thought he was on top of everything. I really was much more than pleased with the service I received and I didn't feel like I was being robbed either. If another event comes up where a DJ is needed, this is the first name that's coming out of my mouth. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

  When my husband (fiance at the time) and I were planning our wedding, we were looking for a DJ and my husband said he knew someone. I was unsure what to expect going into a meeting with him because I really had no idea what to expect from a DJ. My expectations were met and exceeded with Mike and Miked Up Productions. It was a flawless experience! From the ceremony to the cocktail and dinner hours, to the dance floor, Mike changed the mood of the room with such ease and professionalism. I have been to alot of weddings and I have never seen so many people on the dance floor! The lighting was gorgeous and matched the feeling of excitement and fun in the room!   Mike is the man, hands down the only DJ I would have used for my wedding. He went above and beyond what my expectations were and cleared it by a mile. He is extremely professional and courteous and my our wedding just grand. Would highly recommend him.

  Miked Up Productions made our wedding reception a BLAST. He provided amazing, classy lighting throughout our large tent, as well as incredible DJ-ing skills. He spent time talking with us before the event about our music taste, and he did a great job of feeling out the crowd and playing exactly what people wanted to hear. From cocktail hour until closing time, his music was right on point. Many people have told us that our wedding reception was the best dance party they have been to...and that is all thanks to Miked Up Productions! I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

  Very professional set-up and high quality equipment. Mike was also very thorough in ensuring our music tastes and needs were met throughout our wedding day during the various stages of the event. Where we struggled to decide on music, he made recommendations.
  
  In particular I was impressed by his professionalism, and ensuring that on our day his focus was on us and ensuring we had a wonderful time. He wanted us to be reassured that he'd work with our wedding planner on any final details, and not to expect him to be asking us questions on the day itself. This was exactly the reassurance I needed, to know that if something unexpected happened he'd deal with it, if no one got up and danced to our music, he'd work to rectify... would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding in our local area.

  We thought you did a great job - our only constructive feedback would be that you were possibly too close to the mic when you were talking into it because it either wasn't loud enough or it was too mumbled for guests to understand you clearly. Other than that, we had a great time - the room looked great with all of the lighting and the music was pretty good as well. Only song I would take out that I can think of would be the "All 4 One - I swear" song. That was just awful, haha.
