My husband and I used Michelle Castle Photography for our August 6th wedding at Bentley's on the Bay. Shelley is a wonderful and attentive photographer. She took the time to get to know both my husband and I in the months leading up to our wedding to see just what type of photo sessions fit our personality. It is obvious that she is passionate about her career and it shows. Shelley was able to take a variety of photos in different light settings throughout our ceremony and reception. She even waded in the bay to get the perfect shot of my husband and I standing out on the dock! Shelley and her assistant Haley were wonderful to work with. This photographer can not have enough stars. She shot my engagement session and wedding, and trash the dress. She sent us our entire collection only 6 weeks later and in 8 weeks had our wedding album ready to view. We were married out of state, so our photos were an important part of our reception back home. The guests who could not make it to FL for the ceremony were amazed by our photos. The quality and vividness of these images made our guests feel like they were there to witness the ceremony. We had so many complements on these photos from family and friends. One person even said during the slide show "I felt like I was on the beach." This photographer is easy going... for the very inexperienced customer. My husband wasn't extremely comfortable in front of the lense, but Michelle made these sessions fun and painless. The quality and professionalism offered here are unbeatable.. especially for her competitive prices.

I was married April 16, 2011. My husband and I got engaged on October 5, 2010. We decided to plan an elaborate outdoor wedding at The old Gautier home not too long after our engagement. Michelle Castle photography was the very first vendor I found, when I thought I would be having a wedding in Florida. The very first time I talk to her, my relationship evolved. For me, being in arts myself, knew that a comfortable relationship with your photography was a must. After one lengthy conversation with her, I knew she would be the perfect photographer. She took so much pride in her work and her clients. As time went on and the closer I got to the wedding, all of my communication was from Michelle calling often just to check in. I took on alot of task so I was slightly overwhelmed. I made alot of my wedding ideas. I remember Michelle calling and wanting to know if I had a list or an itenerary for her. I remember feeling so overwhelmed and failed, because I could not even wrap my brain around it and I was terrified. I remember telling myself to trust in her and put faith in her that she would capture close to what I saw. I will say....Michelle, you captured my wedding exactly how I as the picky bride saw it. You are truly amazing at what you do, not just as a photographer, but as a friend. I look back at my wedding and of all of the vendors and decorations and all, you were by far, the greatest choice I made. Thank you for making that day just what you did, and for putting me at so much ease. With no itenerary and only your imagination, you did better than anything I would have put on pen and paper. I know that now after my wedding is over, my family portraits or childrens portraits are worth my few hours drive to have you do them. Thank you, Thank You, Thank You. I am so thankful that I not only found a great photographer, but a forever friend.

Everything turned out fantastic! We are so appreciative that you followed us around town at different venues as we celebrated our big day! Every special, memorable moment was captured--and there were several photos that captured impromptu memories we will cherish forever. The color is awesome and most of my favorites have the 'antique' look (not color but not b&w either)! You made us all feel at ease and you were able to blend in with all our crazy guests and take wonderful pictures without anyone knowing you were there! We had a destination wedding in Grayton Beach, and trying to find a photographer that would work with what we needed ended up to be quite difficult. However, when we contacted Shelley she became my heroine!! She was very honest, and willing to work out a package that was best for my husband and I. When I first spoke to Shelley, I felt like I had known her for years! She was so charming and always intrigued about taking pictures, creating a classy/exotic atmosphere or trying something new!! Shelley has an amazing passion and comprehension of what photography should be; furthermore, she is able to capture that in every picture she takes.
Our wedding pictures are absolutely unbelievable and gorgeous! Our tiny, southern, wedding day involved a late bride, a HUGE storm, as well as several other minor mishaps throughout the day; HOWEVER, you would never know it by looking at my pictures. Shelley took picutres of the tiny things that happend which exposed the VERY honest side of the wedding, as well as some pictures that TOTALLY eliminated the dark sky to give us the beautiful sunset wedding we had imagined. We got the best of both worlds!! ;)

The pictures were amazing. Shelley was also flexible in letting us design a photo package that worked best with our individual needs. The one piece of advice that we took to heart during our wedding planning was to find a real professional photographer. This is not an area where you should be worried about saving money, go for a professional like Shelley. It is simply a huge bonus that her rates are not overwhelming at all. Shelley was amazing. She made a point to meet me and my fiancee prior to the wedding. We were from out of town and she met us the night before the wedding. She was interested in our story and getting to know our styles, tastes, etc. The pictures were BEAUTIFUL. They captured the beauty of the day and the emotions of us and our family. We loved her energy. Now it's the hard part....picking which ones to buy!!! We are so happy with all of them.
