Going to Mervis was hands down the best decision I made. I looked up the top jewelers in the DC area and my girlfriend and I visited what I put together as the top 3. Our visit with Monica Park at Mervis was incredible. We visited the other 2 and our experience there was just subpar compared to her, so we went back to Mervis. Monica was just fantastic in connecting with my girlfriend and helping to guide her, not sell her, through what she might be looking for. Even when my girlfriend was unsure of if she liked something or not, Monica could read my girlfriend's face and reaction and accurately move her forward. After our first visit, my girlfriend turned to me in the car and said "I trust her." Man, you can't get more of a recommendation than that! Quality, Unique Jewelry

If you’re considering where to get engagement and/or wedding rings, stop the search and go to Mervis in Tysons. My husband and I went to several different places just looking for ideas and Mervis beat them all in style, quality of diamonds (they sparkle like nothing you’ve ever seen!!), affordability, and most importantly, customer service. When we first parked at Mervis, I was afraid to go in and thought it would be out of our league, but I’m so happy we did! Amber made us feel right at home, talked through all the options with us, and gave expert advice. I’m unbelievably happy with my engagement ring, and when it was time to buy our wedding rings, it wasn’t even a question of where we would go look. If there’s more jewelry in our future, we’ll see Amber and you should too!!

Great Experience!

We visited their Rockville location this past weekend during their pre-holiday event.
Right away we were greeted by their wonderful staff. Mr. Robert assisted us with picking out our rings. During the process he explained to us different variables in picking the perfect ring.
They are very knowledgeable when it comes to diamonds and jewelry.
They were not pushy at all. They gave us options which allowed us to pick beautiful rings without breaking the bank.
Mr. Mervis even went in to our room to say Hi!

Mika was Great!

We visited the Washington DC location. The service was fantastic. My fiancé and I were greeted right away upon entering. Mika ended up helping us. My fiancé and I got engaged

My fiancé and I got engaged and he had used his grandmothers old European cut diamond ring. We knew we wanted to take the diamond and put it in another setting that fit me. After a lot of research online, we chose Mervis Diamond Importers because there was a ton of positive reviews. We went in and they were really helpful and we put our deposit down that day. They were great! I'd definitely recommend this place. They worked with our budget as well as my vision of exactly what I wanted. They even made a wax model for me to look at and try on to see what it'd look like before the final production. The ring was also done two weeks early which was an awesome surprise!

Mike helped my fiancé select

Mike helped my fiancé select one of the most unique engagement rings I've ever seen. Although my fiancé bounced ideas off of friends and family, he consulted with Mike and other team members to select the best diamond makers for my particular gems and diamond. Props to everyone for using my birthstone which changes colors depending on the light. I'm also glad my gems and diamond were all lab grown. I met Mike yesterday for the first time, and he was so excited to hear our proposal story, congratulate me and walk us through the resizing process. I want to say more, but my interaction was limited. From what I experienced, we'll be returning to purchase wedding bands.

My fiancé and I had a peculiarly shaped engagement ring that we were unable to pair with any wedding ring that made sense to have made. Angell gave us LOADS of options and information to help us try everything we could to make it happen. When my wife-to-be just couldn't land on an option, Angell was able to help us find a BEAUTIFUL new set at a reasonable price. I think if you are thinking about seeing anybody else in the jewelry district, go ahead, but afterwards go to Mervis Diamonds and you'll be blown away by the difference. What an amazing experience to work with Tina! I was referred to her by some friends who had a really positive experience with her. I showed Tina a picture of the style of ring I wanted to get for my now-fiance and she was so encouraging and easy to work with! Today we went back to Mervis Diamonds for our wedding bands & we’re just as thrilled with our purchase this time around. My fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Mervis. (We had gone in prior to check out engagement rings.) Janette is who we worked with, and she is awesome! Very professional, friendly and welcoming. Most importantly she listens to you. She guided me in to right direction to find what I wanted for an engagement ring. Also during the whole process, she worked very well with my fiancé (Billy). He said she was very sweet and not your typical “pushy” sales lady, she was more relaxed/understanding. This made the whole process a lot smother for him. We loved working with Janette so much, we have gone back to pick out or wedding bands from here as well. Again we received exceptional service from Janette and the rest of the staff too! It took me months to finally push myself to go to a jewelry store to buy an engagement ring for my now fiancee. I choose Mervis Diamonds because of the wonderful reviews about their customer service. And it was spot on. Becky helped me throughout the process & I was in & out of there in less than an hour. (I knew what I had wanted & I had communicated that to Becky through Email) My fiancee is getting compliments everyday for how stunning the ring is. Every time my fiancee tells me that she got another compliment on her ring, I thank Mika in my head for the great work she did. She found an incredible diamond, putting in a lot of time despite all the different requests I gave her was always thoughtful & helpful. And, as a result, my fiancee & I couldn’t be happier. Becky did our wedding band for this summer. Not only did she make sure it was the ring I wanted for my fiance by getting me a sample of it ahead of time, but she was able to give me suggestions that I would never think of! Simply put- ‘Mervis Diamond Importers’ is the best when it comes to diamond purchases. We’ve been customers since 2010 & this is my wife’s ‘go to’ place for diamond shopping. Their sales associates usually have been with the company a long time & treat their clients like they’re family. Jonathan Mervis is not only the owner, he’s an expert jeweler who, in many cases creates pieces in the store. Our most recent experience was with Brenda, who helped us with upgrading my diamond studs. She was so easy to work with & was always available to answer questions. She was very passionate about her work.
I can’t be happier with the overall experience at Mervis Diamonds & I wouldn’t hesitate to go with them for future purchases.

I purchased my fiance's engagement ring from Mervis. They have fantastic selection of modern, high end Jewelry. And they have trustworthy service. Mervis is the only Jeweler in NoVA that my wife and I will do business with for now on.

I'm not in the business of giving reviews, unless I've had a bad experience. My experience with Mervis was so exceptional that I feel obligated to leave this one.

We have been searching for the perfect piece to replace her original engagement ring for nearly five years. We've purchased and returned diamonds from several major retailers, even Costco. We just couldn't settle on any of them.

So, a month ago we finally decided to get out and find something that she could try on and decide upon in person (we learned that on line Jewelery doesn't work for us). It was a Sunday, and Mervis was one of two places open that we hadn't been to.

Raul assisted us and assisted us. My wife has developed a keen eye, and I drive a hard bargain knowing what I can get elsewhere for the price range.

An hour after closing we decided on a beautiful diamond that met what we were looking for at the time. Raul worked with us extending the return policy for extra assurance, which we ended up using on the last day!

It took a few weeks to decide that we weren't 100% satisfied with our purchase due to the characteristics of the stone, which loses brilliance after lotions and soap start to build up on it. So we showed up at the store three minutes before they closed to return it.

Senior Consultant, Elizabeth Appleman, refused to let us leave unsatisfied. She worked with us for an hour to find the right stone (now that we knew exactly what we wanted). The exchange was simple, and we experienced a level of customer appreciation that we have not experienced from another jeweler to date. We even met with the owner who educated us further on particulars with our stone and gave us the best price up front, which I greatly appreciated.

Mervis stands behind their jewelry, and won't make you feel like you're at a used car dealership.

I needed a gift for my wife and she gave me some hints that she wanted something light and delicate. I was thinking of getting her a classic pair of diamond studs but wanted to see what else they had. I met with Maria and she was so helpful in showing me a variety of options and wasn’t shy about sharing her opinions either! I was very nervous because I needed to get an engagement ring on super rush timeline because we had a trip to Paris already planned. I wanted to propose at the Eiffel Tower. Our flight was nearing and I had limited time. The staff at Mervis staff was very understanding of the situation and helpful to make sure the ring was done in time. They helped me pick an awesome oval shaped diamond in a platinum ring. She loved it and the proposal was picture perfect!

I bought my fiancée's engagement ring from Kris Greenwell at Mervis, and we both could not have been happier with the ring and his service. He was knowledgeable and honest, and even fought to get us a price on a diamond that was virtually equal to wholesale price so that we could get it all done through Mervis. When there was a snafu with the timing of the shipping (not his fault), he again fought for us and got it UPS'ed on Saturday delivery. If he hadn't done that, I would've missed my flight that was going to take to surprise my girlfriend and propose! It goes without saying that the diamond and ring are gorgeous; more than she could've ever hoped for. Thank you Kris, and thank you Mervis!

I worked with Brenda and all I can say is that if you have ever considered buying a diamond online (like Blue Nile) go to Mervis first! I was all set to spend $$$$. I went into Mervis and saw a Diamond that only cost $$$, and it was absolutely gorgeous. True, its color was one worse than I was looking for, it was 0.05 carats smaller etc, but when I compared it to other "better" diamonds, I was extremely pleased with the value that I was receiving. In other words - go see the diamond before you buy it! My experience with Mervis was exceptional. They are friendly, their selection is excellent, and they aren't pushy at all. I did TONS of research before buying, and four months after the purchase I couldn't be any happier.

I searched everywhere to find a ring that wasnt a "cookie-cutter" style of ring and I was very frustrated that I couldnt find THE RING. My fiance suggested I make a trip to Mervis based on a friends recommendation. I was so glad I did. I was very comfortable with the security there and I really loved the fact that I wasnt standing at the counter looking at a bunch of rings. I simply explained what I liked and that is what I was shown. I have a budget and was never pressured into anything. My appointment was with Marilyn Z. and she was fabulous! She brought tray after tray of rings until I finally found the one I had been looking for! She never rushed me and was very patient with me. I ended up staying a little past the closing hour and she was never even mentioned they had closed. The price I paid for my ring was excellent and I couldnt be more happier with my finished piece! I worked with Brenda Friedman at the MDI Chevy Chase store. I was looking for a replacement for my wife's lost wedding ring. Time was of the essence as I needed a upgraded, quality stone and setting to surprise my wife this past weekend. Brenda brought her considerable experience, knowledge and sense of style in play and recommended several options that she thought would best fit for my wife given the the description I provided. I examined the options over three appointments and I never, at any time, did I feel any pressure-to-buy from Brenda. She recommended that I should consider a slightly smaller, higher quality stone that better complimented the channel stones in the setting. I went with her recommendation and when I presented the ring to my wife I immediately knew it was the perfect choice. My wife was knocked out and said, "I wouldn't change a thing." My sister and I were ring shopping, since my fiancé is currently abroad, and we went to 4 different places. We found a lot of amazing and gorgeous diamonds, and I even thought I found the one I wanted! But, right before we were on our way home, we say Mervis Diamond Importers on the Left of the road and decided to stop by and see what they had. This amazing and very attentive lady helped us out from the moment we came in. Unlike all the other Jewlers, she wasn't overly clingy, didn't bombard us with information we didn't particularly care for, and she was such a genuinely kind lady. Once I tried on 3 or 4 rings, I found the ring I didn't even knew I wanted. It looked gorgeous, it matched the style I knew would make myself and my fiancé happy, and it was in our price range!! She then sat down with my sister and I and gave us all the important information we needed and of course continued being her sweet outing self. She even took a picture of my sister and I with the ring so I can show to my future hubby!! She emailed me that evening about our general visit, what I found and let me know she will help me every step of the way until I finally get my ring and my fiancé puts it on my hand :) Overall, I enjoyed my visit there so much and I wouldn't recommend any other Jeweler to you. Go to Mervis and you WILL NOT regret going there!

My husband went to Mervis over 10 years ago when we got engaged; since that time, I have gone back for annual polishings and have always had a positive experience. Several months ago my ring needed to be sent out to NY to the designer for repair of the prongs (which had worn down over time) but unfortunately they made it worse. Brenda Friedman at Mervis completely rectified the problem, by replacing the setting (after several unsuccessful attempts to correct it)- to me, this defined the ideal customer service. She was brilliant at helping me select a new, but very similar, setting and knew how to make this situation completely right. Moreover, she was a complete pleasure to work with and really knows the business. I HIGHLY recommend that you see Brenda if you are looking for the best ring and best experience!

A friend suggested Mervis after I had already placed a deposit on a stone from another dealer. I was a little intimidated going to a diamond jeweler in downtown D.C., but my experience was absolutely wonderful! I did not experience any of the issues that the other reviewers had. I worked with Becky and she was amazing. She worked extremely hard to get me the best price for the stone she showed me. I also have to agree with the statement that you should fall in love with the stone rather than the certificate. I looked at only GIA certified diamonds before going to Mervis, but when Becky brought out the Princess cut diamond, I was floored. She worked with me on the price, and I left to get my deposit back on the GIA stone I was holding at another jeweler. When it came to settings, I gave her a brief description of what I was looking for. She showed me a few, before heading to the back and bringing out the exact setting I had in mind. I can't say enough great things about the help I received from Becky and my overall experience with the D.C. Mervis location.

Being my first time buying a diamond, I was a little nervous and unsure of what to expect. I had done most of my research online and found a rough idea of what I was looking for. Armed with that information I set out to see in person what these stones looked like. Mervis wasn't my first stop, and before walking by their shop had actually never heard of them before, but turned out to be a great experience. They are by appointment only, but I called and they were able to see me immediately. I met with Brenda and a trainee named Erin (I think). Both were super knowledgable and accommodating. They showed me several different stones and settings, and showed me how to spot the discrepancies through the jewelers loop. I didn't buy anything that day, but once I got home I searched their database of stones and compared them to the prices on Bluenile.com. I was surprised to find that their prices were comparable if not better in most cases! Through the Mervis database I found the exact stone I wanted. I called the next day and they were able to get the stone in same-day and I made my purchase. The whole experience made me feel very comfortable and satisfied. The Mervis staff were exceptionally nice, professional, and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.

I just had the best jewelry shopping experience ever. I've worked on this block for a decade but never been in because of their intimidating and what seemed like an unwelcoming security doors/system. It says you need an appointment - you don't! Just knock, and they'll let you in and treat you very well without the pressure of buying anything. I went in because I got a gift from here that I didn't like. The help I received from Joel and Catherine were so great that I ended up buying more. They are knowledgeable and sophisticated, and I think part of jewelry shopping is not just finding the cheapest thing available but the experience that comes with a piece that you are going to keep forever. I can't speak for anyone else but those two were great, and I actually thought that the prices were very reasonable, much less than I expected from their facade! They had many pieces that were less expensive than pieces I've purchased from Macy's and other department stores. If you are on the fence, it's worth giving a try.

I have shopped at Mervis twice now for an engagement ring for my wife. The service and education have been phenomonial! Diane Giles (and Ronnie Mervis) recommended converting our original engagement ring into a pendant which looks gorgious. I cannot get my wife to take it off! When I again wanted to upgrade her diamond, Diane selected the "perfect" stone "sight unseen" and it truly was perfect! Paperwork was all handled via e-mail. We conspired to keep the ring from my wife until the night before she graduated from George Washington University with her doctorate in Education. This actually required keeping the ring from her for almost 6 weeks. With all of our children (and some of our grand children) here for the graduation, I gave it to her with them all present. It was a magical moment! Why anyone would go to any other diamond importer for a ring is beyond me. Not many shopping experiences have been as super as these have been and I am sure we will come back again.

After visiting other jewelers in the area and being unimpressed with the level of service, we recently went to Mervis looking for an engagement ring. We had a wonderful experience working with Mika Rocket!

We never felt rushed or pressured during any of our visits with her. She was very kind, helpful and patient with us throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand what we were looking for and worked with the designer to create the PERFECT ring that fit within our budget. It's exactly what we wanted! We highly recommend going to Mervis and working with Mika!

Had a great experience with the Rockville Mervis, in particular our sales associate, Kris. He was extremely responsive, patient and helpful through email, phone calls and in person. He helped my boyfriend and I find the perfect diamond that was in our budget. He was not pushy or offput at all by my indecisiveness, which was greatly appreciated.

My husband and I have shopped at Mervis for the last 2.5 years, and all of our experiences were easy, pleasant, and recently we had the opportunity to be helped by Jeanne --- she went above and beyond to help fix the prongs on my engagement ring that had bent itself out of shape. Jeanne not only had my ring couriered to the Rockville store, but kept me appraised of what was going on with it, and then had it brought back to Northern Virginia so I could have it before a weekend came around. She truly epitomizes the spirit of Mervis--charming, helpful and cheerful. We will always go back to Mervis because of the level of service we were given by Jeanne in a crunch!! The next time I know of anyone looking to buy jewelry of any kind (but especially diamonds!!) I am sending them straight to Jeanne... she has taste, and Mervis has the goods!

I purchased a setting from Mervis and had a really good experience. Other commenters have said that you need to have an idea of what you're looking for when you walk in because they sit you in a room and don't show you many options, but I actually liked the privacy. I was able to walk in, give a general description of what I was looking for, see some alternatives, and improve my understanding without feeling pushed around.
I really enjoyed working with Emilie, who was a straight shooter and helped me manage my expectations. The store was very helpful with the whole process, and they held my stone--even though I didn't buy it from them--until the setting arrived. My fiancee couldn't be happier, and neither could I.

My fiancé and I went to mervis in Tyson's corner to pick out a wedding band for me. We had the best experience there. Their customer service was amazing. Not even in the same category as the other jewelry stores we had been too.
Kris Greenwell helped us and we couldn't have asked for a better salesperson. He is the store manager in Rockville now but he is worth the trip out there! We will DEFINITELY be going back when it's time to get my fiance's ring!

Amazing! My story goes a little something like this.... About 6 months earlier, my girlfriend and I stopped by Mervis of Chevy Chase just to "look" at ring styles. We walked into the store without an appointment and met Brenda. She was so warm and easy going, Kara (my girlfriend) was able to try out and check out a bunch of different rings. Brenda was great about keeping notes on the brands, ring styles, and model numbers, and without my girlfriend even knowing it, Brenda got my name and contact info. Months past when I finally asked my girlfriend's parents for permission to marry. They said yes and her mother approached me with the option to use a diamond from the family. Kara's grandmother's engagement ring. So I decided it would be great to have the future mother in law come with me whenever I wanted to go ring shopping. At first we went to jewelry stores in the Maryland area, but never were happy with the selection of rings, the knowledge or treatment of the sales reps. All were always pushy and never really listened to what I was looking for. Finally, I decided to go back to Mervis with the future mother in law, but I was nervous about bringing a diamond knowing that Mervis is known as the Diamond Importer. I wondered how they would treat me being that we already had a diamond. The future mother in law and I showed up to Mervis in Chevy Chase and this time we did not see Brenda because she was off, but instead met Jenny. I had mentioned that many months earlier I stopped by with my girlfriend and we looked at rings together. Jenny was able to find Brenda's notes on the ring models, brands, types, etc. that my girlfriend looked at and liked, and Jenny was also able to find her ring size. With that, we were able to pick out the perfect setting.

I bought a Tacori engagement ring from Mervis back in July, more specifically from Michael Morgenrood and it was one of the easiest experiences I ever had! My fiance absolutely loved the ring and has gotten numerous compliments on how much it sparkles. I had done some research beforehand and came in with a general idea of what I wanted. Mike listened and pointed me in the right direction and the process was honestly not as painful as one might have imagined. He even held the ring for multiple months before I took it home with me.

My biggest cocnern was having an EGL certified diamond. Free of charge, he provided me with an appraisal of the ring and a GIA rating as well. Like most people, I was a bit hesitant when it wasn't GIA certified and instead was EGL certified as it tends to be a bit looser of a rating from everything I've heard and read. He understood my concerns (whether or not they were valid or not, I do not know since I'm not a ring expert) but he totally quelled my concerns by having a GIA certified specialist come in and write and appraisal and look at it and it did match the EGL certificate and for no extra cost.

I couldn't recommend Mervis more and more specifically Mike, but everyone seemed friendly and willing to help. I would suggest coming in with some sort of an idea though of what you want beforehand as I feel this is the type of place you'd buy the ring as opposed to just getting information in the hopes of buying one later. Easily recommend.

After a successful engagement ring purchase at Mervis, I thought I'd go back and give them another shot for a birthday present. I wanted something small, but thoughtful. With the help of my sales woman, Brenda, I picked out a diamond pendant. Brenda explained that with a limited budget, a pendant is the best way to go because it's just one single stone and so all the money goes towards that and nothing else. She said that if my (now fiancee!) already has diamond studs, then a pendant is like the next best thing to get because it will match the studs. Location: The store is really easy to get to, right on Wisconsin Ave. across from Tiffany's. They have a security guard there which is kind of strange but I guess it makes sense. Decor: This place is swanky and actually much nicer than their other location. The walls are all purple and the seats are curved kind of like a club. Price: I was pretty happy with spending under $1,000 for a diamond pendant. That was my goal at the outset and they were considerate of it. No one tried to push me over that limit. Customer Service: This was the best part of the experience. I guess anyone can sell you a diamond, but not everyone is as knowledgeable about diamonds as Brenda. She mentioned she's been working there for like 20 years. I tried to stump her with a crazy diamond question but couldn't!! Finally, I asked her about the biggest diamond she's ever sold and she said 10 carats. Woah.

I must admit I was a wee bit leery at my first visit to their showroom in Tysons corner but my partner and I drew in a deep breath and waited to be buzzed into the showroom. We were greeted warmly by their receptionist. We told the receptionist that we were interested in speaking with someone about diamond wedding bands for men. She introduced us to Fazken Krikorian. He offered us a seat and began asking us questions. No pressure, no pushiness, just honest interest in hearing what we were thinking about. We showed him some photos and he gave us feedback on what he thought the pros and cons were of each ring. He encouraged us to think about two custom rings. He explained that from how he understood our interest and extrapolating from the photos, custom was the way to go.
Fazken walked us through each stage of the design of the rings. He guided us with drawings and visual aids (bands and more loose diamonds than I have ever seen in my life). After listening to us he began to sketch out a ring design that we both fell in love with. Now we just needed to find two identical diamonds, easy right? Not quite. Apparently, finding two stones of the same carat, cut, clarity and color is not easy. Fazken, though, was undaunted. It took a bit of time but patience paid off. We even received several phone calls from Mr. Mervis letting us know how the search was proceeding. When the second diamond was located Fazken invited us into the showroom to compare it to our original diamond. The stones carried GIA reports (which was so helpful in providing information that the naked eye could not detect).
In less than two weeks after we found the second stone we received a call from Fazken that our rings were ready. Our excitement was matched only by Fazken's and Mr. Mervis (who stopped in to say hi).
In sum, our experience was effortless. We wholeheartedly recommend Fazken Krikorian and Mervis Diamond to anyone interested in diamond jewelry.

I came into this Mervis location in Tysons Corner with questions and anxiety. I was astonished at how beautiful the location was and how helpful everyone seemed. I am writing this review today to recommend Becky Hubbard, General Sales Manager at the Tysons Corner location. I've never written a review on yelp prior to this, but was pleased so much that I had to do so. Becky's easy going style and feedback was essential in getting me through this process. I was guided by Becky for 4 months and her patience was key for me. The location itself was very clean and professional. The staff greeted me each time and I almost felt as though I was staying at a hotel! I am happy to say that I will still have a chance to come to their location again for my bands and gift needs. Becky and team, thank you once again. Couldn't have done it without you.

After looking online, and at all the Jewelry stores around, I was not finding what I wanted in an engagement ring. I did not want the cookie cutter ring. A family member recommended I call on Mervis because of the great experience and on going service they provide, so I did. I logged on the Mervis site, booked an appointment via their online tool, and in less than 30 min Nancy Choi called me to confirm the appointment and asked me questions about what I was looking for so that she would be prepared. Now while Mervis is not your flashy showroom location like at a mall, I was warmly greeted and asked to sit in a private meeting room. For me this is a plus, I don't want to look in case with 50 other people doing the same, I wanted a personal, and professional experience. I am expecting to spend a lot of money, and with that the service to match it. I was looking for someone that knows their business and will work with me personally. Nancy and Mervis, delivered just that. During my first appointment Nancy did an excellent job of providing me options all with in my budget. She did not once try an over sell me even when I did not find what I was looking for. She took it upon herself to find more options for me and called me for a another appointment. After 3 meetings my custom engagement ring was designed, all thanks to her knowledge of her inventory and who the right custom designer was for what I was looking for. Then I challenged Nancy again, I needed the ring in 3.5 weeks. I was leaving on Xmas day to the Grand Caymans were my bride to-be lives and works. Nancy took care of everything to ensure I had my ring on time. She was in constant communication with the designer, made sure all the stones were a perfect match, called and emailed me updates and delivered my ring exactly when she said she would. I am very happy with the service I received from Mervis, and most importantly with Nancy Choi. PS: She said yes, so I will be making an appointment for the wedding bands

Mervis Diamond Importers sets the bar for retail jewelry experience! I say this because compared to the 12 other jewelry stores I visited, none of them provided the selection, professionalism, education and quality of service that i received from Mervis. I was in the market for an engagement ring and had a very particular style of band and diamond I was looking for. My consultant, Jordan Stein from the Tyson's Corner location was very patient with me. He took the time to provide me with a deeper education than the standard 4C's pamphlet that you can get anywhere and listened intently to what I was looking for. Jordan returned after our consultation with exactly the selection of loose diamonds I was looking for. You can imagine how refreshing this was after visiting so many other stores and finally finding one that had a broad selection of exactly what I wanted. I felt very at ease and comfortable purchasing from Mervis. I did not feel pressured or persuaded into a up-sell that was out of my budget. A personal greeting from the owner himself was also a nice touch. Anyone who's lived in the DC Metro area and has listened to the radio for a couple days has heard the famous voice of Mr. Ronnie Mervis. He took the time to stop into Jordan's office, shake my hand and thank me for my interest in purchasing from his store. I was very impressed. This was a wonderful purchasing experience and I will continue to recommended friends and family to Mervis.

After 32 years of marriage, my husband decided it was time that I purchased a diamond engagement ring and wedding band. We went to Mervis Diamond Importers in Tysons Corner, VA. We were very impressed with Dodi Giuliani, their senior diamond consultant. She was extremely efficient, was able to educate us about buying a diamond, and kept it in our price range. We ordered my engagement ring and both of our wedding bands through Mervis Diamonds. These guys really know what they are doing and are at the top of their industry. They were incredibly helpful throughout the ring selection process, patiently teaching me and my fiance everything there is to know about diamond rings! My sales representative, Deva, was great at providing suggestions for designs my girlfriend would like, while still fitting within my budget. She was also sensitive to the fact that I wanted to keep the whole thing a surprise. After looking at a few places in the area, I decided to go back to Mervis strictly because of their service. The no-pressure, transparent, and informative environment made the experience much easier than I initially expected. If you are a new and inexperienced customer (as I was), Mervis is a great place to start.

My wife and I have made multiple purchases from Mervis (engagement ring and both wedding bands). From the first time we stepped foot in the store our sales person, Tina, taught us what to look for when shopping for diamonds and quickly earned our trust. We were fairly treated and got a great deal.

Shopping in their stores feels like a family experience with the Mervis's consistently around. We will definitely return to Mervis for all our future purchases!

I recently purchased an outstanding platinum and diamond ring in a size 11.5 that I was told was impossible to re-size to ~10 from every jeweler that I asked. No other jeweler would even come near it or suggest anything to help my predicament. It was only when I reached out to Rahul Vohra from Mervis Diamond that he offered to have the ring re-made for me in my size no questions asked right off the bat! I must say I was quite impressed with such a different demeanor compared to what I had gotten from others at that point. This speaks volumes about the professionalism and determination to acquire a customer's business, it's about the bigger picture and he gets that. Where others saw a problem he found a solution. Needless to say they will most surely have my future business and I will be recommending them to all of my acquaintances.

This was our first time at Mervis. I must say it was a very pleasant experience. Deva Helmand assisted us and her recommendations were "on spot." She listened to our desires and provided advice. She also provided information on the artisans/designers of the various diamonds; she stayed with us the entire visit never once having to take another call or make her excuses to assist others. And the reason I'm stressing this point is because I can imagine compared to other customers Mervis is used to dealing with; our purchases were no more than %11K. They treat all customers the same no matter the perceived social strata. It felt like Deva was a close friend from the time we first met until the deal was done. Her expertise, her professionalism, her kindness, her sincerity---her entire demeanor was no less than stellar and the epitome of customer service! I will definitely recommend Mervis and Deva and I would go back in heartbeat! Look for Deva to become one of the corporate leaders in the future.

This is the first time I've written a review. I wanted to share a wonderful experience I recently had at Mervis Diamond Importers in Vienna - specifically wanted to highlight Fazken Krikorian. After 13 years of marriage my husband and I decided to upgrade my wedding set. We had purchased my first wedding set at Mervis and had such a great experience then that we decided to go back. From the moment we entered the building until the final delivery of the rings I couldn't have been happier. Fazken patiently worked with us - showing us numerous settings, diamonds and providing expert guidance. He thoroughly impressed us with his expertise and ability to understand exactly what we were looking for. In the end, the rings are absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't have been more impressed with the time Fazken dedicated to us. Truly a professional who enjoys his job and Mervis is a wonderful business to work with. I look forward to making future purchase there.

Monica assisted me with my purchase of a diamond pendant for my wife was an anniversary gift. She was very helpful and answered every one of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase and that I had the pendant in a timely manner. I've had a lot of success with Mervis and would recommend them highly.
