If you are looking for a "castle" like venue - Merion Tribute House is the place! They are extremely affordable (the venue was built by the community in memory of those who died in WWI), with a lot of inventory to choose from in terms of tables and chairs. They do provide their own wedding coordinator for the day of the event so as long as you tell them what is happening when, they will make sure it does! If you have any questions regarding whatever aspect of a wedding - they DO have the answer! I based my decisions on their experience as well as my caterer's - seriously, they make it so easy that you do not need a wedding planner!

We had a wonderful experience with the Tribute House staff. We needed to have our pictures taken before our ceremony at another location, and they were very accomodating. They even offered additional time on later dates at no charge for the continued picture-taking (wasn't needed)

A gorgeous site, helpful staff. We were very happy and received many compliments on how beautiful the location was! I would say that to comfortably have dinner and dancing all together in the ballroom, the max is closer to 125-150. We had just under 100 and it was great - not empty-feeling, with a nice sized dance floor (which was generally full!). Be careful if you are wanting a venue for a crowd larger than 150. For our event it was fantastic and everything went great; the Tribute House staff is practiced in event prep and coordination and helped pull things of without a hitch.

I had my wedding at Merion Tribute House on 8/22/09. It was so beautiful. I have so many guests told me they like the place a lot. We had a ceremony outside. It was absolutely gorgeous. The staff are very helpful too. They help us to plan everything and make sure everything is right. Overall, we are so happy about our decision to go to Merion Tribute House. We love it.

Can't say enough positive things about this venue--the staff were super-helpful, the site is gorgeous and all of our guests raved about it. It was great being able to have the ceremony and reception at the same place... less chaos for us and the guests. Beautiful grounds and very romantic!

A truly unique site! My guests loved the building and grounds and still talk about how it looked liked a castle. It comfortably fit my 150 guests. The sitting area and fireplaces made the Tribute house cozy and familiar. I was pleased that I did not need to use a lot of decorations, candles and flowers were all I needed to enhance the atmosphere for my wedding reception.

The Merion tribute house was the most beautiful place I could have gotten married. There were a few bumps and scrapes with the coordinator on the day of- which was frustrating, to say the least. But overall, I don't have a single regret choosing it for our wedding. The only thing I would warn to other brides: make sure you have a LOT of time to plan your wedding if you want it here. We booked it a year in advance, and already every saturday and sunday were taken for the entire spring, summer and fall. We just BARELY slid in on a saturday because it was early enough in April. And also, since you have a limited list of caterers to choose from, it's nice to have the time to really find the right one for you.
