Megan's creativity and talent truly shine through in every shot

Megan is so much more than a photographer. She is a storyteller.

My husband and I are not traditional and had a murder mystery wedding. Megan captured every detail perfectly, including details that I did not even consider until I saw her photos.

I am terrible at standing still and appear awkward in photographs; however, she provided excellent direction and maneuvered like a ninja to capture the most breathtaking images.

This was the best day of my life, and I am so grateful that I have the most beautiful photos to remember it by.

The turnaround time was fast, too. Megan exceeded all of my sky-high expectations, and I cannot recommend working with her highly enough.

What a gem!

Megan Clouse is truly a gem. I fell in love with her photography style the moment I saw it. She helped me plan my entire timeline for our beach elopement. Anytime I emailed her a question I had a response shortly there after. Megan showed up early the day of our elopement and photographed scenery and little details of the day. The pictures are stunning, and we had them back within 6 days of our big day. She is such a kind soul and makes you feel very comfortable. I hate having my picture taken, but I feel differently after looking at her photos!

Book Megan now!

We loved Megan, and were so lucky to have her a part of our day. Since we eloped last year, we planned a destination celebration and vow renewal with a few family members and close friends. It was at a remote beach in Maine, and the weather was sporty that day, in true Maine fashion. Megan was wonderful, flexible, and just felt like part of the family. Everyone loved her and she captured the day, the guests, and the setting so beautifully.

And the turnaround was faster than you can imagine. She sent sneak peek photos the next day! And the full gallery the following day. Wow. The photos are amazing, and it was fun to see some extra touches she put in. She had arrived early to the area and taken some shots of the surrounding area which will be so lovely to remember the full experience.

Excellent wedding photographer!!

Megan was very helpful & responsive from our first communication, which was important considering we were planning a California elopement all the way from Ohio. Once the big day arrived, she was very calm throughout and started taking pictures of the small things I never would have remembered. We purchased an elopement package but she was kind enough to drive us off-site to a beautiful back road. The photographs are absolutely stunning; I couldn't be happier and would not want anyone else capturing our most special day except for Megan Clouse!!

Megan is truly Best in Class!

Megan is truly best in class. When I was first looking into a photographer for our wedding day, it seemed a little overwhelming with all of the options & the 'types' of photo-aesthetics there were.

Once I discovered Megan's style and spoke with her on the phone, I knew that I had found our gal. She is extremely patient, organized & creative. She was a joy to be around the entire day, and did a fabulous job at ensuring she got those 'must have' photos her and I discussed about during a call leading up to the wedding.

Megan & her team did an outstanding job at not only capturing all of the big moments on our special day, but also so many little moments that we truly treasure when looking at our photos.

The smiles on our faces when we look at our photos are huge and we just can't thank Megan enough for being there to capture our wedding day!

We had a tiny wedding with just 13 people on a Thursday in Sonoma. We knew we had to find the right photographer to accommodate this and blend in with the intimate setting. So happy we were referred to Megan! Not only is she sweet and unassuming but her work is outstanding! We loved every picture and even though we only hired her for 4 hours, she perfectly documented our special day. When I shared the photos with my sister she said she expected the photographer to make the bride look good, but she could not believe how amazing every picture was of each of our guests, even ones who say they are never photogenic! I would recommend Megan to anyone looking for more than just a photographer but also someone you can make a special connection with as they capture your most intimate and memorable moments.

Megan is a wonderful wedding photographer. The photos from our wedding are absolutely gorgeous. She somehow seemed to capture every single moment, including a moment where my grandparents were secretly dancing with each other outside the reception space in a dark corner. She was able to capture the authentic, genuine moments of our wedding and that was exactly what I was wanting from a wedding photographer. The turn around time on the photos was a little unreal-- she got everything back to me within three weeks, in addition to sending me multiple little sneak peeks in the days following our wedding. Of all my friends and family that have gotten married, no one has ever had a photographer who was able to provide such beautiful photos in such a short time.

So yes, the photographs were amazing, but more importantly I would recommend Megan for who she is as a person. She was a calm, guiding force on our wedding day, providing answers to the little things I was unsure about like the best way to hold my bouquet, etc. She is extremely organized, professional, and detail-oriented. She was able to step up when other people dropped the ball, and foresee and solve problems before they occurred-- something which I would have NEVER expected a photographer to do, but I greatly appreciated when she did. For example, the wedding coordinator at the resort where I had my wedding had not planned a way to get me from my bungalow to the ceremony space which wasn't walking distance. Megan saw that this detail was overlooked while I was getting ready, called the front desk and arranged a golf cart for me, and it wasn't even an issue for me that day. It was only afterward I realized she had taken the initiative to smooth out what could have been a stressful hiccup. Megan has almost 20 years of experience shooting weddings, and it shows; she made it look effortless, but I know it couldn't have been!

Megan was the sweetest and easiest photographer to work with. We came to Sonoma for an elopement and it was just my husband and I. She was very accommodating and even helped me get into my wedding dress!! Her work is amazing and she is truly a talented and passionate photographer. We cannot thank her or Farmhouse Inn (for suggesting her) enough. The pictures are beautiful and so is she. Thank you for being a genuinely kind person and super talented photographer. 10/10 would recommend.

I don't even know where to begin! I feel like your wedding photographs are the soul of your wedding. A good photographer either captures all the emotion and nuanced details or you just get basic photos that are a step above stock photography. As such, I scoured and scoured the options, feeling somewhat disappointed in what I found. Finally, a friend recommended Megan (she had secured her for her daughter's wedding), and when I saw her site, I just knew instantly Megan was exactly who we were looking for. Her aesthetic captured what we wanted but then when I started communicating with her, I realized she was a unicorn! Her warmth, knowledge, professionalism and genuine desire to "get it perfect" blew me away. She went above and beyond to find out what we wanted to deliver for us. No detail was left unturned. She was so easy to work with, so flexible and accommodating, but made sure everything was in place to ensure a successful execution. And oh my, what an execution! I am almost brought to tears thinking about all the amazing moments she captured. My husband and I have looked at those photos a hundred times by now and we always say, "Man, Megan did such an amazing job!" She is truly gifted in her craft but the person behind the art is a true gem.

My husband and I could not be happier with Megan! Her photography style was just what we wanted, and our photographs are so beautiful. We really appreciated that Megan made the time to come to our rehearsal to meet our parents, wedding party, and scope the venue around. She also took fun pictures during the rehearsal that are so meaningful to us! Megan is so personable and made us feel so comfortable. Megan was responsive to my questions throughout the planning process, and we received our full digital album faster than we could have imagined (so, so impressed at the turnaround time!). Megan was the MVP of our wedding.

Some context: We were originally supposed to be getting married at a private estate/vineyard in Santa Rosa the weekend of the massive wildfires. (It goes without saying, the challenge of dealing with the logistics of my wedding paled in comparison to the devastation happening in wine country.) We decided on Wednesday to move the Saturday wedding to San Francisco for the safety of our guests and vendors.

I would have completely understood if Megan wasn't available given the crisis and the change in location, but she was so helpful in helping us figure out a totally new plan for the photo schedule for the day. She found a new spot for us to do our first look between the hotel we got ready in and the venue, and helped our planner determine the best spot for the ceremony at our new venue (a funky ballroom I'd never been to) via Facetime.

On the morning of my wedding, Megan and Caitlin (who assisted her) arrived at our hotel room and immediately made us feel at ease. She was so calm and warm from the start, despite the stress of an admittedly half-baked plan and lots of moving pieces. She helped answer some silly bride questions (when do I put my veil on?) and helped make sure that my husband, my husband's family, and my family were all on the same page for first look and family portrait schedules before the ceremony.

One of the things I was very adamant about from the start is that I hate super contrived bridal portraits ("OK, everyone look at each other and laugh like something is funny!"). Megan avoided all of that and captured some gorgeous candid moments. During the ceremony and reception, she again made our guests feel comfortable while blending into the background. She helped us make the best of our sunset pictures on Van Ness Ave and kept us laughing throughout the whole thing.

And, it goes without saying, the pictures are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and so full of love. Megan is the best!

Megan did an absolutely AMAZING job as the photographer for our wedding! She captured some of the best moments throughout the entire wedding, from pre-ceremony getting ready, to the dance party during the reception. She stayed very calm throughout the wedding and was extremely efficient; her personality is so easy to work with and has a great personality. Megan was also extremely quick getting back with the final pictures! In fact, that evening she provided a handful of photos and then had a very quick turnaround for all of our photos. We would hands down recommend for a photographer! Not only for a wedding, any event she'd be fabulous.

The most important vendor for your wedding will be your photographer. And if you’re looking for an outstanding photographer, then Megan is your gal. We were so impressed with her artistic creativity, her personality, her experience, and most of all, her ability to capture genuine emotion in every photo. Megan has a talent for photos that are natural, flattering, and most important, classic. I cannot find a single photo in a package of almost 400 that I don’t love. Every photo captures true emotion and throughout the progression of photos, our wedding story is told beautifully. It is clear in the work she produces that Megan takes huge pride in what she does and without a doubt, she is THE BEST at what she does. Megan was the best! We first met her a year before our wedding, she took our engagement photos! The moment I contacted her she was warm and inviting! Our engagement photos were beautiful! I didn't think anything could top that experience, and then came our wedding! Megan was sooo organized, getting our family portrait list weeks before the big day! We then opted to do a first look photo and the pictures are beautiful.. Megan captured our excitement and happiness in those first photos! Then for family photos she knew who everyone was without us introducing..they were quick and painless :). She then blended in with everyone, took candid shots throughout the night (which are some of our favorites)! Megan captured every moment perfectly! She made sure when we woke up in the morning we had a few sample shots waiting patiently in our email inbox! There is not another option for a photographer, the best is Megan Clouse. I highly recommend Megan to any Bride and/or Groom! My husband and I were married this past year in May, right outside of Santa Cruz. I work for a photography studio based in Chicago so needless to say, photography was at the very top of my priority list! We live in Chicago and did all of our planning from afar so it was super important for us to really trust our photographer. I found Megan with the help of our wedding officiant and I could not have been more happy with my choice. I wanted someone to capture the beauty of the redwoods we were saying our vows under, the emotion of our day, our personalities and all of the details that made our wedding day special. Megan did just that and more! On top of this, she was very easy to get comfortable with which is so important! She made me feel at ease prior to our wedding and all the way through til the end. I can't say enough wonderful things about Megan!! We had a very small wedding (~20 people), and Megan worked with us from the outset to help us choose a package that fit our needs and budget, and was extremely helpful, warm, and professional throughout the entire process. We opted not to do engagement photos, so we met her for the first time on our wedding day, but she immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. She took absolutely beautiful landscape photos of the property where we got married (Sea Ranch), and I know we will be framing some of them. The photos of our wedding were absolutely spectacular!! My husband and I were marveling about all the special and candid moments she captured, of us but also of our families. I never once noticed her presence, but based on the photos, she had to have been everywhere. My whole family was raving about her and her photographs. She got us a sneak peek of some of her favorites the day after our wedding, and got me the full album within a week; I don't know how we're going to pick our favorites for an album, because I love every single shot! I wish I had an excuse to hire her for another event, because her photos are stunning. She is truly talented, and such a pleasure to work with; I really cannot recommend Megan enough!!

I could not be any happier with our choice in hiring Megan as our photographer for our special day! When I met her, I instantly felt comfortable and I trusted that she would do a great job. On the day of our wedding, she was GREAT at keeping me calm, cool, and collected and she captured every moment beautifully. We are a couple that aren't too comfortable getting our photos taken, but she made us feel so comfortable and got all of our pictures done efficiently, so we had time to enjoy the reception. Megan truly made our day! From the moment I first contacted her she was so professional, accommodating and easy going. We first met for a walk through of the property and it was clear she had just the eye and style we were looking for. When it came to our big day I don't know what we would've done without her! She did it all.....told me where to be and when, helped keep me calm and all the while taking gorgeous photos. Megan did an amazing job at keeping track of my husband's and my "complicated" and large families. Two days after the wedding she had already passed on some of her favorite photos and we had our full gallery 2 weeks after the wedding. The gallery was open to all family to download and order. The prints are super reasonable and arrived at my doorstep within 2 days of placing my order. Megan is the best!!

Working with Megan was absolutely a DREAM come true! She photographed our wedding rehearsal and wedding this past August at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course in San Jose. She is very organized and detailed in the planning process and really gets to know what type of photos are important to you. She scouted the best locations at our venue to take pictures and made the process so easy and fun! Megan made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day and really knew how to capture all the wonderful moments. She was very thoughtful about making sure we (the bride and groom) were able to enjoy our reception while still making time for amazing sunset photos. We received our photos so quickly (even some the morning after the wedding!) and are in LOVE with them! Megan is really amazing to work with! Our wedding was very small (20 guests) and we couldn't even tell she was there! She was so nice and we have received countless compliments on our photos.

Megan was an absolute DREAM to work with! It's been over two months since our wedding day, and my friends and I are still talking about how awesome she was! Megan was so easy to work with from start to finish -- from pre-wedding preparation, to the wedding weekend, and even post-wedding -- everything ran smoothly. Megan did an amazing job on all of the wedding photos. She not only scoped out off site areas to take photos but she took additional photos at the rehearsal which were not expected. Megan captured all of the moments we wanted captured along with getting all of the fun candid shots. She was never in the way and was so incredibly sweet and patient with everyone. I am incredibly grateful to have had Megan as our wedding photographer. I was really nervous when I thought about my wedding photos because I am the least photogenic person in the world. I was also having a tiny, simple wedding and wanted the photos to capture the essence of our meaningful day, rather than focusing on posed photo opportunities. Megan truly exceeded my expectations. She's very intuitive and was able to understand what we were hoping for without us really having to articulate anything. She's incredibly professional, has a very calm presence, and blended in seamlessly (even though there were only 15 people total...including the bride and groom). She's INCREDIBLY talented (which is obvious from her photos), but we were still SO impressed with the photos that she took of our wedding. During my wedding, I kept looking around thinking that everything looked so dream-like because it was so beautiful. I get that exact same feeling when I look at Megan's photos and I will forever remain grateful to her for making sure our happy memories never fade. She's so good at what she does that it felt like an honor to have her at our wedding. And she's such a joy to be around that I almost want to have a baby JUST so I can have her take pregnancy/baby photos and spend more time with her. :)

Megan was our photographer for our elopement at the Rochioli Vineyard. She was amazing! Megan photographed our May wedding Healdsburg, CA and I cannot speak highly enough of her as a talented photographer, awesome person and general wedding-day magic-worker! We had a few added complexities to our wedding planning process, particularly that we live in NYC and both have extremely busy work schedules. From day one, Megan made us feel at ease and stress-free. She was willing to work with us as needed over the phone and email (often responding in hours), and made time to meet with us when we were sporadically in town. She was honest in planning our photography services, even when that meant decreasing hours/an extra photographer at the expense of higher price. She was even flexible enough to shoot our rehearsal dinner when we asked only a few weeks before the event. On the actual wedding day she was calm and confident which kept us at ease, discreet during our ceremony and other poignant moments, and even offered me her own jacket when the weather turned slightly cool (who does that?!). After the event, several of our family/friends even mentioned how impressed they were with her. Most importantly, her photos FAR exceeded our expectations (which were high to begin with) and were delivered with faster turn-around than expected! Hiring Megan was one of the best wedding investments we made, and I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

I have to begin by saying that I am so far from being photogenic that selecting a photographer for our wedding, much less thinking about the wedding pictures, was somewhat overwhelming for me. I don't know how we got lucky enough to find Megan, but to say we got lucky is an understatement. Megan was so incredibly wonderful to work with, checking in with me throughout the planning process to create a timeline that would fit best for me, the schedule of the day, and the venue. Every time I would get off the phone with her, I just felt calmer about the whole process (which can be stressful at times). On the day of the wedding she was incredibly supportive and kind, and just seems so natural as a photographer that even during staged photos, nothing seems forced or awkward. My favorite surprise came the morning after the wedding, I woke up to an email from Megan with an incredible picture of Kyle (my husband) and I. It was so beautiful that I cried (and I'm not even a crier!), but it really was perfect. That should have prepared me for what was to come, but Kyle and I were blown away by the pictures we received. There were so many special moments that occurred throughout our wedding day and she captured them so incredibly. We could not have imagined anyone better to capture our wedding and the many cherished moments that occurred. We are incredibly grateful that she was part of our special day.

We browsed Megan's blog and loved her style so we met in person and looked over a few wedding albums she had put together. Based on her portfolio and her knowledge of our venues I had the utmost confidence in her vision for our photographs. She asked for any special requests and was happy to make it happen. We are a couple from Tokyo and was seeking a local photographer who can support our wedding photo shoot.

It was a magazine we've found Megan who were recommended as a highly respected professional.
We've emailed her directly through her website.

What made us move forward was first her response speed - she was quick in response and her website, web portal and her pricing model were all easy to understand.
Megan was also flexible in providing us a help - for example, she took her time to meet us face to face when we went to Napa to do some research as a ground work for logistics, and not only went over what she does, but also gave us a suggestion of a venue, church and other things she knew. This was very helpful in that this was our first time doing this and also we had limited sense of what works in Napa.

At the event, she was all prepared, on time and proactively moved around to find and suggest the best shot of each moments we and our guests enjoyed.

The outcome was beyond - absolutely brilliant. Her photo, mixed with Black and White photos, were just more than anything we could afford. From my observation, she knows how sun light in Napa cast people and trees and ground, and shade people and trees and ground. With her friendly and professional attitude, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves throughout the course of the event.

The photos - were up on a web and were easy to download and share with people we wanted to share.
Besides how wonderful we were on the pictures, almost all the people who have seen our photo asked who was the photographer and commented the photos were all amazing.

We truly appreciate what Megan has done to us - and we definitely recommend her for future groom and bride even those planning a wedding from outside of the US.

My husband and I hired Megan for both our engagement photos and wedding photos and truly could not have been happier. I knew from the moment we met Megan that we wanted her to be our photographer for both events. She has such an easygoing, kind, and fun personality that instantly put both of us at ease. The time we spent with her always felt very easy, as if we were just hanging out with an old friend.

Megan truly goes above and beyond, and her love for photography and capturing life's beautiful moments, and it really comes across in her work. Being a photographer is not her job, it's her passion and it's so evident in the work she produces.

One of my favorite parts about working with Megan was receiving her care packages. After both our engagement session and wedding she printed out some of her favorite images and sent them in the mail (and in the cutest packaging of course!). I would then instantly take several of the pictures and place them all throughout our home.

Hiring Megan was the best decision me and my husband made. She is simply the best! Before the wedding she touched based with us and asked us our expectations and told us what she's planning to do. She's very professional, sweet and genuine. I felt at ease and worry free after talking to her and she did exactly what we were expecting! Megan was absolutely fabulous. Life is easier when you realize all of your favorite shots on various blogs are from the same photographer. From day 1 she was very communicative, and while providing guidance on what most couples like and ways to optimize time, was very open (I was one of those brides who insisted on not having a first look shot). Hiring Megan was the easiest decision we made for our wedding. We were interviewing wedding planners at same time we were looking at photographers. I mentioned that Megan was our front runner for photography to those we spoke with. Without hesitation, every planner told us how wonderful she was. They were right!

It's clear from her website that her photography is beautiful. Her style easy and natural. It's really reflective of who she is, very easy and natural. Though she took photographs of everything we wanted and more, we barely knew she was there. This made for sweet candid shots of our guests.

She guide us through the process from day one. Touched based with us when our wedding got closer to ask us what shots were important to us came up with a photo timeline. She had it covered!

We received our beautiful packaged CDs of photos a couple of weeks after our wedding. Close to 800 photos! All beautiful! Hire her! She's a solid choice!

Megan was the best choice we made at our wedding. She was prompt, professional, and extremely talented. The pictures we have received are AMAZING - our friends and family have all been very impressed. Our biggest regret is that we didn't hire her for the whole weekend! Would recommend her wholeheartedly.

Megan was a pleasure to work with from the first email till she waved goodbye the day of our wedding. We only had a sweet little elopement in the wine country but I never felt like she was giving me any less attention than if I had hired her for an entire day.

I was an out-of-town bride with no clear idea of what direction I wanted to go with the pictures. Megan spoke with me a couple of times, kept in touch leading up to the event, and then was able to create such a moving story of the whole day through her photography that transports me back every time I look at the photos.
She is a kind, professional photographer with an artistic eye that cannot be overstated.

Megan was not only a sweet, kind soul but an AMAZING photographer. We just got our film back and it is, simply put, PERFECTION. The word itself isnt strong enough. My husband and I love each and every photo and are so so glad we chose Megan for our engagement and wedding photos. Her presence day is calming, and while I knew she was there, she seemed to almost disappear at times. The pictures speak for themselves and they are really and truly amazing: We laughed, cried, and are having the hardest time ever picking out a few for an album.

Of all the various wedding vendors, Megan was by far our favorite. Not only is the quality and beauty of her photos stunning, but her personality is exactly what you would want from a photographer- staying calm, providing good direction without being bossy and making everyone feel so comfortable. I will go back to her with any other future life event! She also is very flexible to do what you want and what works best for you- a pure joy to work with.

Megan was fantastic to work with. She contacted me early on before my wedding to find out more about my husband and I and what kind of photos we hoped to take on our wedding day. Megan Clouse truly has a gift, not only does her artistic eye capture some of the most stunning photos that I have ever seen but she is also the most humble, organized, efficient, and pleasant person to work with. She made us all feel so at ease to take the best photos possible while also making picture time feel like it flew by. We did not miss a single aspect of our wedding because of photos; we made cocktail hour, we enjoyed a full meal, we had piece of cake or two ;-), and spent the night enjoying the company of our guests. Another added bonus; the fun and extremely thoughtful packages Megan sent us throughout the year! We knew we had some pretty breathtaking shots to look forward to but when Megan sent us our photo cd after our wedding, we were blown away by all of the amazing, magical moments she had captured. I can't say enough about Megan and what an exceptional and talented person she is and you would be crazy not to hire her!

In my opinion, picking a wedding photographer is the most difficult decision in the wedding planning process. This is the person or persons that you are, in a sense, putting in charge of your memories. The photos they take and the moments they capture are most likely going to be how you remember your special day. In other words, you've really gotta trust who you pick. My wife and I met with some amazing photographers, whose work we thought was stupendous, but in the end we realized that we didn't want the perfect picture, we wanted more. We wanted a photographer that was going to capture us, in the moment, as beautifully real to the moment as possible. We're not the type of couple that has many photos of ourselves around the house and those we do have aren't posed. We like candids, we like moments, and we absolutely loved our photographer, Megan Clouse.

From the second we sat down with Megan she struck us as much more than your typical wedding photographer. She had amazing prints for us to look at and plenty of variety in style of shots, but the thing that jumped out at us was the emotion in her work. Even though we'd never met the people we were looking at, we could feel their joy, their laughter, their embarrassement ... we could feel everything. Her photos weren't what I call the "insert bride here" type, where you can imagine any bride looking pretty in the photo you're looking at, each was truly a moment, even the posed shots. So, if you're looking for more than just great wedding photos, if you're looking for great memories, give Megan a call. She'll make it impossible to forget your special day and you'll have an amazing time working with her along the way.
