OUTSTANDING reception. Everyone that we have spoken to since the wedding have told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The food was fantastic, the waitstaff was attentive and McGrath's staff was professional and caring. We loved the unveiling by T.R. McGrath and would use McGrath's again!

The food was amazing, the tent had the prefect feel to it, and the day was a huge success! Some of the attendees had been a clambake before, other had never seen one, but everyone was thrilled with the presentation of the clambake. Most people had never heard the history behind the clambake and commented to us how fascinating it was. Everyone loved the food and commented on how good everything was- from the chicken to the potato's to the smokey flavored lobster. T.R. and the rest of your staff were amazing to work with! I wish I could have a second wedding so I could work with you again! I will certainly be recommending you to everyone I know!

We used McGrath to cater our outdoor wedding in Newport, RI. They were exceptional throughout the entire process. We met with them several times to go through all the details prior to the wedding so that everything was right. Everyone from their staff was attentive and never in the way. It really helped that they have worked with so many other vendors so they were able to coordinate a lot of things on their own. Overall, a great experience!

McGrath catered my wedding and their professionalism and friendly staff helped make my wedding wonderful! The food was unbelievable, I heard a few people say it was the best for they have ever had in their lives! McGrath also provided all of our tables, chairs linens, china & tent for the ceremony and cocktail hour.
If you're considering having a clambake for your wedding I highly suggest you call McGrath.
Also we made a last minute call to rent a tent due to weather. Melissa gave me her honest opinion they day of the wedding and they made the tent happen (even though I had already decided to not get the tent). Turns out we needed that tent and the ceremony and cocktail hour was beautiful.

I can't say enough about McGrath's Clambakes!!! Everyone at the wedding said that the food was the best wedding food they have ever had in their lives. I am still receiving phone calls from friends and relatives who are interested in using McGrath's for their own wedding or party. They made our day special and perfect!!!

McGrath catered my wedding as a Lobster Boil at Easton's Beach, The Rotonda Ballroom in Newport, RI. Not only was the food (buffet style) amazing but all of my guests raved over the polite, generous, and helpful service they received on our special day. The servers and waiters went out of their way to ensure that each guest was happy. Thanks again for your service and we will definitely pass along referrals.

I had attended quite a few weddings before mine, and I knew exactly what I wanted and what I didn't want in a caterer. What I wanted was fantastic food at a reasonable price. What I didn't want was a line at the bar or inconsistent servers/guests waiting for their meals. When it came time to hire a caterer for my own wedding, we searched high and low to find out all we could about each vendor we contacted. Thank God we chose McGrath Clambakes.

While we were planning, we had a ton of questions, and changed our minds on a few details a bunch of times. Every time we called, the McGrath staff was amazingly patient and very accommodating. They amended their proposal two or three times so that we could see how the changes affected the bottom line.

At the reception, we had over 250 guests and McGrath's attention to detail had every table served at the same time. EVERY TABLE! We were amazed at how flawlessly it seemed to come together. The salad then the entrees; not one table was out of sync! And the food was beyond fabulous...not one complaint, NOT 1 out of 256 guests! We chose Lobster Tails and Filet Mignon for the "Surf & Turf" entree. Every one had the same comments: the filet just melted in your mouth and every lobster tail was perfectly prepared.

I was at a wedding three weeks ago (not catered by McGrath) with 150 people and the line at the bar was 20 minutes every time we went up for a drink. The two bars at our wedding never had a line of more than 4 or 5 people at a time and that was with 100 more guests!

It has been a little over two months now and people are still talking about how awesome our wedding was! Thank you McGrath Clambakes we owe most of that praise to the outstanding job that you did for us!

Working with McGrath Clambakes was so enjoyable and made wedding planning so much easier. The price is very reasonable especially for all that they provide and the quality of their food and service. We booked our lobster boil 15 months before the wedding and working with Kerry was amazing! She is very professional, organized, detail oriented and was quick to respond to any of my calls or emails. One of the many nice things about working with them is they not only provide the food but also the tables, chairs, linens, tent, dance floor, etc. The few days leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding, T.R. and the McGrath crew were so great in setting up the tent, dance floor, seating area and everything else. On the day of the wedding Kerry and their entire crew were so great to all of our guests. Our guests raved about the food and the service for weeks after. From start to finish it was a pleasure working with McGrath and all they provided was of the highest quality. Thank you Kerry, T.R. and all of the McGrath crew for all you did.

We couldn't have asked for more from McGrath Clambakes (and especially Kerry). The food was delicious (we had a Lobster Boil), and the staff was fun and friendly. At one point, my husband and I left our table without having eaten our 1st course. When we returned, we found that our plates had been refreshed with fresh steamers/clams. It was a very pleasant surprise, especially considering how delicious they were! The younger guests chatted with the bar staff and enjoyed them immensely, and as the bride and groom, my husband and I were taken care of extremely well. We can't speak highly enough of McGrath. Thank you so much to Kerry and co. for such great work!

We cannot say enough great things about McGrath Clambakes! They made our wedding such an elegant event. We ordered the surf and turf as a more formal sit down dinner. The food and service were TOP notch! All of the staff, especially their event coordinator Kerry Sullivan, were kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make are wedding day amazing! We will be using McGrath for future events. Anyone considering this company to cater an event, should look no further...

McGrath was amazing! Kerry was a joy to work with. Always willing to make things easier for me. I did my own decorations and Kerry was willing to put the decorations up at the wedding. The staff was amazing. Pleasant and attentive with out being in your face. The food was EXCELLENT. My guest have not stopped talking about the food. I thought the price was very reasonable.

Our dinner was absolutely incredible! Huge portions of delicious seafood & excellent service. You should know that along with great food, if you hire McGrath's you get a wedding coordinator for the day -- if you haven't hired a wedding planner, which we didn't, you will appreciate the organization, helpfulness, & quick thinking of Tania, who made our lives on a wet, stormy day a lot easier. They even stored & set up my mother-in-law's homemade italian cookies! Highly recommended on every level.

If you are getting married in or around the Newport Area, you must use McGrath's Clambakes. Their service and food are top-notch and well worth the money (which was very reasonable). I would highly recommend them!!! They were superb!

McGrath Clambakes catered our 4th of July wedding and we couldn't have been more pleased with their services. They were lovely to deal with, extraordinarily helpful, the service was above and beyond, and the food was insanely delicious.

Our wedding took place at my husband's grandmother's home on the bay and T.R. had tons of great ideas about how best to work everything. He visited the house twice to help plan things out (he has a very calm and down to earth manner) and had solutions for how to fit in all of the tables, what time to start the ceremony, and even where to stage it so we would get the prettiest pictures. He took his time and was free about offering up advice, even on things that weren't really his job.

The day of the wedding Kerry was there to guide us through, she was completely on top of everything and couldn't have been sweeter. The staff was friendly and fantastic about running the whole show. They did their jobs flawlessly and didn't hesitate to help out with anything we needed . They filled our coolers with ice, passed out our ice cream sandwiches, and helped set up our cupcake table. Kerry kept checking in with us to make sure we had time to eat (so thoughtful). When the time actually came we realized we didn't have a place to sit (we didn't have assigned seating) and Kerry quickly grabbed an extra small table and set up a beautiful spot on the deck for my husband and me complete with flowers and candles grabbed from inside the house (we hadn't planned this and it ended up being one of our favorite moments.) The next day when they came to retrieve the tables we told them we had a family get together later and so they were sweet enough to offer to leave a bunch of tables for that night even though that meant they had to make an extra trip back to the house later the next day.

And finally, the food. When the time came to reveal the bake, everyone gathered round and the tarps were revealed. The crown burst into applause and my husband and I felt so proud of the dinner. The food was AMAZING. Truly the best seafood most of us had ever tasted. And the salad was fresh and the corn was sweet and everyone got stuffed!

I can't recommend McGrath's enough. They are wonderful in every way and would make any party a big hit.

They did a great job, and everyone loved the clambake idea. It made the wedding really fun and different. Tania was our coordinator, and she was so wonderful to work with throughout the whole process. We made a few custom requests, especially with the types of wine and beer, and she made everything happen perfectly. The clambake was really fun because they did a cool revealing of all the food with an explanation of the clambake tradition and how they had cooked the food. We were a little worried that a clambake would be too informal, but they really let you customize it. We had nice china and white linens, and it really didn't feel too informal at all. Plus, the food was delicious!!
