Jason Reeves at Market Salamander did an excellent job on our cake. He was very responsive to our requests from the very beginning. He was easy to reach, got back to us right away and was very friendly and most of all the cake was beautiful and delicious.

Tatum and the Market Salamander team were so fantastic. They provided hors d'oeuvres for our cocktail hour and I don't even know if there was anything left. The food is just sooo good. Our food for the reception, people are still talking about how it was the best dinner they've had in a long time. And our cupcakes, there wasn't one left. NOT ONE. People were asking for thirds. Yes, you read that right, they wanted a third cupcake, they were that good. The wait staff, oh my gosh, soooo nice and so on point. No one every went hungry or thirsty. Our first tasting was organized and well thought out. We had a really hard time deciding on flavors for the cupcakes/wedding cake. Jason is just ridiculous when it comes to dessert!! I had a really really great experience and enjoyed working with Tatum a lot. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

Tatum at Market Salamander was amazing. She's incredibly responsive, and very knowledgeable. She reworked my contract multiple times with no complaint. She also ordered all the extra rentals we needed, but offered for us to find our own rental company as well. I just found that it was easier to have her do it all.

The food is fantastic. We received lots and lots of compliments on dinner. Having good food was 1 of about 3 things that we really cared about. The crab cakes are just out of this world.

Tatum was nice enough to create a little plate of apps for my new husband and I to scarf down after the ceremony before the reception, in case we didn't get a chance to eat dinner.

She was just so helpful, warm and just wonderful to work with.

Let's face it, wedding cake can be really terrible. But not one by Jason Reeves!!! He makes the best cake ever. We sampled a 9 different cakes and fell in love with his tres leche. Our guests couldn't stop raving about it. The cake was not only delicious, but was beautiful and exactly what we asked for.

Our experience with Jason was outstanding from the beginning.
When we arrived for our tasting, Jason was not available due to an emergency, but his assistant was there to help. She was great in helping us choose and giving us ideas. We left the tasting stuffed because we couldn't stop "tasting" all of our samples. Jason was in constant communication with us to make sure checking if there were any changes that needed to be addressed, and personally delivered the goods the day of the wedding. He's a professional and customer oriented, and obviously takes great pride in his work. A rare find these days.

As we had a small wedding, my wife and I decided on a small 6" red velvet cake with a cream cheese frosting, basically so we would have something to cut, and 3 different types of cupcakes. The cupcakes flavors we went with were: apple cupcake with caramel frosting and caramel drizzle; chocolate cupcake with lime frosting and a lime rind; and a chocolate cupcake with raspberry frosting and a raspberry on top. The frosting was soooo amazing....light and creamy...not the grainy super sugary stuff. The caramel apple cupcake was the favorite, but everything was awesome. Whenever I look at the photos from our wedding and I see the cake and cupcake photos I start to drool. Seriously....

We LOVED our wedding cake that was created by Jason Reeves of Market Salamander. We frequent Market Salamander for lunch, therefore decided to reach out to them for our wedding cake. At the 'tasting' Jason was personable and open to doing any design we wanted (we had photos of cakes we liked with us). The small tasting cakes were good (I think we tried four) but didn't do the actual wedding cake justice - If you liked the cake at the tasting you'll love the actual cake! We decided to go with an all chocolate cake - because who doesn't love chocolate?! We selected the Espresso Lovers (and asked him to do it with more of a Tiramisu twist - which he did) and the Chocolate Brownie Decadence, which turned out to be fantastic choices. On our wedding day we LOVED our wedding cake. It was beautiful - looked exactly like the picture we have given Jason to recreate. And it tasted amazing - so so delicious! We couldn't get enough of it, nor could our guests! Jason did an amazing job on our wedding cake - we couldn't have been happier!

The cake that Jason Reaves of Market Salamander created for our wedding was stunning; it tasted incredible and looked more beautiful than I had imagined. We had a homestyle buttercream iced exterior with exquisite handcrafted sugar flowers. We chose vanilla sponge with fresh berries, and the delectable caramel mochaccino devil's food pairing for our cake flavors. Both flavors were fresh, moist, and delightful. It's clear that Market Salamander uses excellent ingredients and Jason is very talented. Communication was great, emails were responded to same-day, delivery was smooth and on time on the wedding day. Chef Reaves will be my family's go-to for any special occasion cakes from here on out.

Jason from Market Salamander designed our wedding cake and it was fantastic. Not only was the cake good, but he actually sketched ideas for us while we sat there with him. He is truly an artist. Jason was responsive to our needs and wants, and the cake was delivered on time. It was hard to pick a cake that we wanted, everything tasted amazing. We went with the carrot cake, and everyone raved about it at the wedding. I would recommend Market Salamander to anyone who wants an original design on their cake, and wants to work with someone knowledgeable and helpful.

Market Salamander catered our Spring 2011 wedding, from the cocktail hour to the dessert bar. We worked with Tatum and she was fantastic. She was always friendly, flexible, professional and responsive.

The staff at Market Salamander really listened to us and, as a result, we got exactly the type of event we wanted. Our entrees were rather unique and we appreciated their willingness to move beyond the typical steak and skinless, boneless chicken dishes. Because of Market Salamander, we were able to incorporate regional touches to our menu, like shrimp and grits 'shooters' at the cocktail hour and my home state's cookie for the dessert bar.

We were very, very pleased with everything Market Salamander did. We were somewhat disappointed by the quality of service of some of their sub-vendors, specifically the bartenders. I raised this with Tatum after the wedding and she assured me it was the first time they'd had the problem and that she had already taken steps to remedy it.

I would certainly use Market Salamander again.

Tatum Jelinek, Catering Manager at Market Salamander, did an awesome job for my wedding. Working on a budget is always difficult but Tatum and her team were willing to work with me every step of the way. I never felt uninformed or frustrated. The food was amazing and all my guests were so impressed. Jason Reaves, Pastry Chef, created the most beautiful cake - and it tasted delicious!! I sincerely appreciate all their hard work and understanding. They helped to make my wedding a truly wonderful event (and we stayed in budget)!

Jason Reaves at Market Salamander is a genius! His cakes are beautiful, creative and delicious! The flavors are endless. We selected two! Vanilla and vanilla bean…yum and (are you sitting down?) chocolate sponge cake with chocolate and vanilla Crème Brule filling! It was the best cake anyone there had ever had! I did not have anything particular in mind for the cake other than traditional tiers, no flowers and ivory and gold were the wedding colors. I told him to have fun with the decorating and designs. The cake was perfect, it was ivory with gold dredges swirling in a conservative pattern around the cake along with our monogram, it was stunning. Jason was so accommodating, easy and fun, I would highly recommend him to anyone! (If you keep this a secret, I am ordering a ‘golf bag’ cake for my husband’s birthday this year!)

Our cake was not only absolutely beautiful it was delicious! Jason was wonderful to work with! His design was exactly what we were looking for, at a great value! I would recommend Market Salamander to any bride who wants her cake the have the "wow" factor!

I don't even know where to begin! My husband and I found Market Salamander by chance and I couldn't be happier that we did! Jason Reeves is simply amazing! Because we lived over an hour away Jason and I worked through emails to achieve my wedding cake vision. Our cake was simple yet elegant. The flowers looked real and exactly like the ones I carried down the aisle. I also had Jason make me a surprise grromscake and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined! My husband was speechless. I love Jason's work so much that I am driving over an hour to have him do my husbands 30th birthday cake as well! I couldn't have been happier with the results!

Our wedding cake, made by Jason, was AMAZING! We had NUMEROUS guests complement the cake, not only on the cake design, but how delicious it tasted compared to other weddings cakes that they have tried. We are so happy we chose him over other vendors! He is a true professional with an artistic eye, and great attention to detail. He is also very trustworthy, and always wrote us back promptly. We highly recommend him to any bride and groom. Thank you, Jason, for the oh-so-YUMMY cake! :) It was mouth-watering. We only wish we had left-overs. :)

Jason created a beautiful, delicious cake for our wedding. It was simple, but elegant. Exactly what we wanted. All of the guests commented on how good the cake was, but was too beautiful they didn't want to ruin it! I think that means it was definitely a home run! Thanks again Jason!

Our wedding cake absolutely ROCKED!!! We had a fun style cake that really reflected our style and we got exactly what we wanted. It was the most popular thing at our event, and it also tasted great!!!!
