On our tour of the property, we knew immediately we wanted to get married here. The venue feels like something out of a fairytale. We felt that the property was very reflective of our time together in Colorado and would be an amazing experience for all of our out of state guests. It was only a quick 15 minute drive from our home and we love the town of Lyons. Our guests stayed in Boulder & Estes Park, as the venue is in the middle of the two. There are also adorable tiny homes on the property which was great for our guests with kiddos. The venue manager, Lauren, was wonderful to work with. We had a 75 degree sunny day, so we didn’t have to worry about rain but if we did the tent walls come down and you can order tent heaters. Our wedding was in early fall, so having a bonfire was wonderful and our guests enjoyed every minute of it. In addition, the year before they had an “open house” where you could go and meet with lots of vendors they work closely with. So many of our guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen. We were so grateful that we found such a great venue and all of the vendors they work with are amazing!

We had so much fun working with Kim and the folks at the Farmette! Our wedding was wildflower themed, in place of traditional colors, so the flowers were especially important to pulling the whole thing together. We couldn’t have chosen better people to work with. Kim and the team were so wonderful, flexible, creative, and receptive to our ideas, while also taking the reins when necessary. Not only was our wedding day beautifully adorned by flowers, but we came to really adore our new Farmette friends.

It has everything for a bride and groom who want to feel rustic, glam, romantic, shabby chic, environmental happy. Every corner you turn, there is another magical element. A romantic fallen tree, a peaceful creek, an awesome airstream, a gorgeous garden, an amazing greenhouse. Is it llama or alpacas you want at your wedding? How about a vintage truck? Then it's the place for you! Betsy and Mike are incredibly kind and real people. Our coordinator Tracey was also top notch.
If you want to WOW your guests, then just book this place. Don't even think twice about it. -
User2340945 Sent on 09/29/2015Venue was AMAZING!!! All outside, tent if it rains, animals, garden, grass, fire pit, lights above tables, what more do you need? The staff was friendly, and all my guest loved the atmosphere only this venue could provide!

User1915387 Sent on 11/10/2014Our wedding at Riverbend (not the Farmette, but owned by the same people) was absolutely fantastic. It was the first and only venue we looked at, and it couldn't have been any better. Riverbend's location is absolutely stunning, from the trees and big, green lawn, to the peaceful river. We had our ceremony on a stone patio by the river, which was perfect (well, aside from the sun being in everyone's eyes, but that couldn't be helped.) Our reception was also held on the grounds. Our guests loved everything about the venue. I mean, we had a bon fire and lawn games at our WEDDING. It was just too fabulous. Betsy and her team are so, so kind and helpful. Everything went off without issue. I'm so glad we got in during Riverbend's inaugural season, too. I imagine that the price will rise for this beautiful location!

User1890775 Sent on 10/28/2014This is the place for an outdoor, casual, yet elegant wedding venue. We had an intimate party of 50 people and it couldn't have been better. Our wedding was folksy, whimsical, and fun. The staff were so helpful and kind, as well. -

S Sent on 07/07/2014The staff at the Lyons Farmette were so great to work with. If you are looking for a relaxed outdoor wedding venue I don't think you can find anything better than this location. Not only is it beautiful, with it's green lawns surrounded by gardens, it was easy to get to and the staff was great to work with. They were very accomodating and made fantastic recommendations for other vendors. They had a person on staff to answer questions or help with anything we needed all day and the owner came over before our ceremony and wished up well. All in all it was an amazing experience in a fantastic venue!!!! -

A huge thank you to the Farmette for being so helpful and generous and for providing just the perfect venue for couples like us. The care that you take shines through. This place is gorgeous in September!! -

The airstream was a lovely place for bridal readying photos, and the space is nice and comfortable, while still having little touches that make it a real venue, rather than just an outdoor space. Betsy was accommodating and also did my flowers, which were beautiful. Everyone loved the location, and the creek was a definite plus. -

Alexis Sent on 07/20/2017This venue is absolutely gorgeous. Betsy has put so much thought and time into every single detail which makes this place amazing. The airstream trailer which acts as the bridal suite is so adorable and decorated beautifully. The gardens all around are lush and beautiful and there are hens, goats and alpacas on site as well! My day of manager, Tracey, was great as was the rest of the staff I hired directly from the Farmette to help with various tasks throughout the day. Everything went seamlessly and I could not have imagined a better setting to get married at. If you are looking for an outdoor venue and have a guest list of 125 max, this is the place for you!! -
User2349540 Sent on 10/04/2015We had our wedding at River Bend, another venue owned by the Farmette. River Bend is incredibly beautiful, with a dance floor down by the river, a beautiful tent, and string lights all over the property that make it feel absolutely magical at night. However, it turns out there was vague wording in the contract that said "at no time during your event should your music be too loud", and it's partly our fault for not sorting that out when we signed the contract, but almost a year after signing they started setting strict noise level restrictions. They ended up heavily monitoring our noise level throughout the evening so it wasn't as loud as we would have liked. The staff also spoke about the noise level issue to a number of our family members, and even to the groom as he was getting ready, instead of just speaking with the day of coordinator and DJ. Overall we loved the venue, it is one of the most beautiful places I could ever have imagined getting married, but we feel that it was inappropriate of them to impose stricter noise level restrictions when it was too late for us to find a new venue and to talk to the groom about it as he was trying to get ready for the wedding. -
User2266428 Sent on 08/11/2015First, River Bend (the second venue location to the Farmette) is stunning, beautiful, and perfect based on the natural beauty and set-up of the venue. Second, Betsy and Mike (the owners) seemed like easy going and lovely people when we met them when we first toured the venue. Third, the value of the venue was excellent and we felt like the price was well worth the gorgeous venue. We felt like booking this venue was a no-brainer. However, throughout the planning process and especially the last few weeks prior to our wedding, things didn't go quite as great. They changed their policies between when we signed a contract and when our wedding day rolled around. They were less responsive and helpful in the last few weeks, and then the day of our wedding the River Bend representative at the venue was absent, disinterested, and did not fulfill the things she was supposed to do (very basic stuff like keeping TP in the bathrooms). Our day was excellent and I'm grateful to have had a wedding in such a beautiful spot, but I was not impressed with the day-of staff. I'm wondering if they go too big, too fast and lost some of the personalized vibe I got from Betsy in the beginning.
