Love ALSW!!! Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved my experience at ALSW - you have to go here! I had been to QUITE a lot of shops so was starting to feel hopeless and they truly made the experience unlike any other - I felt comfortable, heard, and in knowledgeable hands. Their showroom is gorgeous first of all, with TONS of options for every bride, and Kim was the cherry on top. She was so attentive, warm, and felt like she genuinely cared about me as a bride. Meg was wonderful in the communications leading up to the appointment as well. Can’t recommend enough!! I loved saying yes to the dress here and cannot wait to pick up my dress.

The absolute best

I absolutely loved working with the team at ALSW for my wedding dress. I had been to other stores and actually purchased other dresses despite poor experiences elsewhere. I can only describe my experience at ALSW as healing. Everything is so personalized, and I never felt any pressure. I did indeed find a dress that I loved with guidance from Nicole who really listened to me and Jamie who handled my alterations beautifully. 10/10 would recommend. My mom also found her MOB dress here and it was absolutely stunning. We both love ALSW!

The best bridal shop!

Let me start this review by saying I was extremely nervous about going wedding dress shopping. I really dislike shopping and trying on clothes in general, and I always leave stores disappointed. ALSW and their team (Nicole was my bridal stylist) instantly put me at ease and found me the most perfect dress I could ever dream of. They took into consideration shapes and styles I liked along with finding me the perfect silhouette for my body type. We had the entire upstairs of the bridal store to ourselves and some champagne and it was easily the best shopping experience I've ever had in my life.

Caring and stressfree

Fantastic and positive experience

After some post-Covid weight gain, I was really nervous about the process of trying on wedding dresses. My first appointment was with ALSW, and Cindy could not have been a nicer or more helpful consultant, she made me feel beautiful with every dress she selected! She was so kind and helpful, and pulled some absolutely perfect dresses for me to try on. I didn't look at the size I was trying on once! I also did not feel rushed at all during my appointment, and was able to try on a variety of dresses. ALSW has a truly beautiful collection of gowns at a range of prices. They also have gorgeous accessories and veils- although I didn't end up purchasing my gown here, I did come back to buy my veil here! Cannot recommend ALSW highly enough, especially Cindy!

Wedding Dress

This review is long overdue. I got married on 10/29/22 and purchased my dress from A Little Something White. My dress was stunning and I felt like an absolute queen. My entire experience working with this boutique was amazing and positive from start to finish, including alterations with Bridget. She did a wonderful job with my dress -- it fit perfectly! Also, Liz is a phenomenal and talented person (and friend) who helped me each step of the way and guided me to my perfect dress. She also helped talk me through things when I was being indecisive or unsure and validated that I was making the right choice. I also borrowed/rented one of their vintage fur shawls which was a gorgeous addition to my dress! I recommend this boutique 10/10!

The only place you need to go for all-things-Bridal!

I went to A Little Something White with zero expectations of finding my dress, since my wedding is not until 2024, I had plenty of time. I went with my mom to just start getting my eye in and we had such a great experience with Krissy and I found my dream dress. The entire experience felt relaxed and special and extremely luxurious. ALSW is truly a one-stop shop for me. It was my first time in a bridal boutique looking for a dress, and lucky for me I don’t have to go anywhere else. Lots of friends of mine are planning their weddings as well and visited bridal boutiques in NYC and weren’t thrilled with their experiences - but I couldn’t have been happier with mine. A few highlights - Krissy sat down with us at the beginning of the appointment and asked about my wedding, what I thought I liked in terms of dress styles and budget. We then walked through to the store picking dresses together and then helped me try each on, taking pictures of each and talking through each option. The entire experience was fun, and special and best of all, I found my dress! As we were checking out, the other women who were working in the store came over and chatted with us and it just felt like a store full of people I’d choose to be friends with. I would recommend ALSW and Krissy 10000x over to any bride looking to find the perfect dress!

The most positive wedding dress experience!

What a positive experience from start to finish. Krissy was such a sweetheart, and really understood my vision of my wedding dress. She still helped me venture out of my comfort zone and try on certain styles I didn't think I'd like (which I actually was pleasantly surprised with). I was extremely anxious about trying on dresses because I'm not a size 2 and she made it such a positive experience. This was the first place I tried on dresses but knew I didn't need to go anywhere else. Thank you so much Krissy!!

The best Dress shop in Fairfield County

Okay, where to start... Firstly I had the pleasure of working with Yvette who is just a wonderful human and an amazingly experienced individual. When I finally went to a little something white I had already gone to 6 shops and by that point I was exhausted of not finding my dress.

Yvette helped me out with a private appointment and it is totally worth it!

I had gone in with a vision of the style of dress I wanted but I trusted Yvette who literally suggested a chic timeless dress despite my request to get something with a lot of intricate detailing.

I left that appointment knowing my dress was there and then returned several weeks later with my sister and a new accessory, Crutches from my knee surgery.

Yvette not only was flexible and super helpful with my inability to stand for long periods but also made me feel like a princess while I tried on dresses with my crutches.

She was incredibly accommodating and Angelica is literally a sweet heart

A Dress to Remember

I found my dress at A Little Something White on the last trip of the last day of a long weekend of many, many, dresses. After putting off wedding dress shopping with the hopes that my mom could fly out to come with me, I reached the point of having to move forward anyways, and decided on power-house weekend to get it done. The staff and experience at ALSW was the best we had all weekend – I was only shown dresses in my price range and that would arrive in time for my fittings and wedding (not the case at other places), and the staff took the time to get a feel for my tastes and style, as well as indulging a bridesmaid who wanted to see me in something ‘outside my comfort zone.’ I was shown quite a few amazing dresses, but the Suzanne Neville dress I settled on was perfect. I was allowed all the time I needed to decide, trying it on a few times and comparing. Once I had decided, the measurement and customization process was very smooth, and just like that I had a dress!

They were very communicative throughout the process, and I did my fittings through them as well. Because of my stylist’s ordering recommendations, I needed really limited adjustments to the dress, and the seamstress did an amazing job. They were upfront with expected costs, timely with appointments, and follow ups, and always lovely to see in the shop. Highly recommend visiting!

Beautiful selection and comfortable atmosphere

A Little Something White not only has the most beautiful selection of wedding dresses, but they also made me feel so comfortable and at ease every time I was there. When I first went in to look for my dress, they really listened to what I was looking for and patiently helped me try on many different dresses until I narrowed in on the one that was perfect for me. They also did a great job with my alterations and I had so much fun going in for all of my fittings. I can't recommend ALSW highly enough!

Better than the best!

I started dress shopping last September for my July 2020 wedding. After a poor experience at another bridal store, I came to ALSW and worked with Olivia. She selected several gowns based on my initial interest form. I was thrilled to try on a Sareh Nouri gown that as it so happened was in my size and a sample gown. Olivia was encouraging (not in a pushy way!), had examples and ideas of scenarios that I never thought of and just a wealth of experience. My mom and I left ALSW raving about how wonderful Olivia was. I came back the following week to try it on again since I often second guess myself. Unfortunately, it was Olivia's day off but fortunately, we met with Kim who was also a wealth of knowledge and experience. I said yes to my beautiful Sareh Nouri gown that day. Since it was a sample, it was sent for cleaning, I then picked it up about a month later to store at my home (not a problem). Flash forward to March 2020, coronavirus hits and our wedding is in question. My first fitting was in mid April, I heard from Angelica by the end of March to set up a possible rescheduled appointment at the end of April. Before I was even off the phone, I already had a text and email notifying me of the change. At this point in the wedding planning process I couldn't be more thankful to ALSW's organization system. I spoke to Angelica several times over the next month due to the Covid conditions. I went in for my first fitting mid May and they assured me that my dress would be ready for our wedding in less than 8 weeks. I worked with Kathy, who was calm, professional, respectful of social distancing and experienced. She knew exactly what alternations worked best for my designer and fabric and never led me the wrong way. I continued to work with Kathy for the next several fittings, making my dress just mine. She even added an additional fitting just to make sure the hemline was just right since I am so petite. Whenever I was in the store for my fittings, everything was always clean, everyone followed social distancing and nothing was amiss. I am so glad that I found ALSW and am confident that if my experience was not during Covid they would have also provided a top notch experience. However as a Covid bride, I can't imagine having worked with another shop. They were AMAZING!!!

Amazing and personal!

I never right reviews, but I had the most amazing experience working with Olivia! From the first minute I walked in, I knew that this was where I was going to purchase my wedding dress! The light coming through the bay window and the fact that the salon is not crowded made the experience so personal and individualized. Olivia has been amazing to work with and helped me to get an appointment at an upcoming trunk show for the designer I selected! My wedding was turned upside due to the Covid-19 pandemic. My husband and I despised to still get married on our original wedding date and gave ALSW 3 weeks notice. Olivia helped me pick out a second dress within my tight price range so that I would not have to spoil my original dress before my wedding celebration could safely happen. ALSW truly did everything they could to make my event perfect! If you want an amazing experience with an impeccable dress selection then this is the place to go. I have nothing but amazing things to say. I cannot wait to continue to work with them through my wedding celebration next year! ALSW goes above and beyond to make your experience with them feel like a dream!

The Perfect Dress from the Perfect Store

Before A Little Something White, I had previously tried on about 50 dresses between 9 bridal stores and felt so discouraged that I would have to settle for a dress that I just "kind of" liked. From the first call to arrange my appointment, Kim reignited my excitement for dress shopping and gave me the boost I needed to persevere. A couple of days before my appointment, Meg called me to discuss my dress journey thus far. She made me feel that my dream dress did exist and was so genuinely invested in my vision. The first dress that I tried on at A Little Something White turned out to be The One. I’ve had great experience after great experience with A Little Something White and I am so thankful that I continued the search for my perfect dress and found it at the perfect store with the perfect people.

Best Selection of Dresses, Great Service

Working with Kim and her team at A Little Something White was a great experience! This was the first wedding dress shop I went to and found the dress of my dreams. Kim helped me to select dresses and encouraged me to try different types of styles.

After purchasing my dress, the team was great to work with for fittings and picking up my dress. Kim and her team did a great job of calming any pre-wedding nerves surrounding the dress.

I truly cannot recommend this bridal shop enough to all of my friends and strangers.

Great Little Shop with Amazing Finds!

A little Something White was such a great find convenient right off 95 in Darien. Made the multiple trips I made for first appointment (s, lets be honest I went back a few times to make sure I found the right one) but I kept going back because they had such beautiful dresses. I had the pleasure of working with Olivia, who was great in keeping me updated on the new dresses they got in and they available promotions/sales to help me get my dream dress in my budget. I was so happy on my big day feeling perfect, even when my hair did not come out as I hoped.. the dress made up for that mess! The entire staff was very helpful and supportive. Kathy my seamstress was very patient through all my fittings and my mother's picky adjustments! Would recommend everyone add this to their list to visit in your wedding dress search!

So great to work with!

A Little Something White was awesome to work with. They were understanding when I explained I lived in Hawaii and my mom in New York so she would be the point of contact. They worked with us to get the right fabric for my sash that I had made. They were great in getting things done on time and coordinating with my mom. They made the entire process easy and quick - and my wedding dress was stunning. It was unique and simple all at once. Could not have imagined a more perfect place to try on dresses and work with.

Easy - from beginning to end!

I had a fabulous experience with the team at A Little Something White! From the moment I entered the salon with my mother and some of our bridesmaids, I was greeted with smiles. I worked with Kim and Sara the seamstress. At our initial meeting, I knew that I was in expert hands with Kim. She was confident, helpful, and really seemed to get what I wanted and was good at reading my reactions (probably better than even I was!). The salon always felt super clean and the dressing room areas were beautiful, light, and airy. She helped me find the perfect dress and then was there throughout the entire alterations process. Sara the seamstress was incredibly talented and there were some alterations that I was fairly nervous about, but she was calm and understanding and even worked with me to undo a few of the alterations that I thought I wanted, but didn't quite work out how I thought. I was nervous about the neckline and the undergarments under the dress, so Kim had me come in an extra time and even went to the extra effort to research and find some additional solutions. I also got my veil and headpiece from the salon. I loved their selection and Kim was really helpful in helping me find something that fit. While I didn't use their jewelry, they had a lovely selection and also recommended a couple stores to help me find the perfect chain for my pendant that I wore. We got the bridesmaids dresses from the salon as well and the team was very helpful in selecting the dresses and very quick in shipping the dresses out across the country to my bridesmaids. The day of, my dress was a dream and I have missed wearing it each day! I would highly recommend working with the team at A Little Something White! They truly go above and beyond!

Above and Beyond!

A Little Something White Bridal Couture goes absolutely above and beyond for their brides. One month before my wedding, my father was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and it became clear that he would not make it to the wedding and my dream of doing a first look with him was shattered. I had called A Little Something White and explained the situation and that I wanted to pick up my dress so I could do my first look with him at the hospital. The dress was with the seamstress for alterations in upstate Connecticut but they sent an associate to the seamstress to pick up the dress and bring it back to the shop so I could pick it up. They had the dress back at the shop within an HOUR of when I called. I picked up the dress and did the first look with him the next morning and he passed away 2 days later. If it weren’t for the swiftness and caring staff at A Little Something White, I would not have that cherished memory.

The shop is beautiful and the experience from the first appointment to the last was exactly what I envisioned my bridal gown search would be. I highly recommend A Little Something White!!

Warm, inviting, great selection

I had the pleasure of working with Olivia as my bridal stylist and Cathy as my seamstress. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with both Olivia and Cathy. The salon is absolutely beautiful and inviting. I was initially nervous to begin my search for a wedding dress but Olivia's optimism, honesty and warmth helped me feel comfortable in trying on dresses for the very first time. As good as it gets!

A Little Something White was the first store my mom and I visited to look for my wedding dress. We did not have to look further. Kim’s enthusiasm was incredible. She welcomed us with open arms, positive energy, and patience. She was thorough and thoughtful, and we feel so grateful that she was part of the planning process. Though it is a small store, they have a tremendous selection. I really liked every dress I tried on. When my entire family came back to make the final decision, she was friendly to all of us, and even my brother was impressed by the shopping experience! They run a very professional operation, and each customer feels like she truly matters. They follow up throughout the alteration process and even the cleaning/preservation process after the wedding. I recommend ALSW to every bride I meet. Kim and the team there are as good as it gets!

I had the BEST experience with A Little Something White! I worked with Kim, who nailed down exactly what I was looking for- she was easygoing, knowledgeable, and patient. Her measurements were spot on because when my gown arrived, it fit me like a glove. My favorite part of ALSW is how up front they are with the entire process. They provide you with an information packet that explains the alterations- including costs, the timeline, as well as the items you need to have prior to your fittings. You receive plenty of appointment reminders to keep you on track.

My seamstress Kathy was amazing- I was so happy with the alterations that she did (which was right on target with what Kim estimated it would cost). Also, Olivia and Kathy helped me coordinate a blue monogram to put inside of my dress- it was the perfect "something blue"! My Mom and I even had the change to meet the designer of my gown, Suzanne Neville, at an event at ALSW! I would recommend this store to everybody- it was my favorite experience of the wedding planning process, and I loved my dress so much!

I am so thrilled to have found my dress at A Little Something White. The individuals at this shop really took the time to listen and understand exactly what I was looking for. I was encouraged to pull dresses off the rack myself while also having the consultant pull gowns she felt fit my vision. When I started to fall in love with one of the gowns the bridal consultant took the time to pull and tug at the dress to show me exactly how it would be shaped to my body once the alterations took place. As soon as she did that I immediately had that WOW moment and knew I had found my dress! I did not feel pressured to try on gowns outside of my budget nor was my time wasted with trying on styles I knew I was not interested in. I went to A Little Something White in search of the perfect flower girl dress. With the help of store owner Ashley, we found the most precious Isabel Garreton gown for my flower girl. Even though my flower girl is from out of state, the ordering process was both effortless and seamless. The dress arrived perfectly and on time all the way to North Carolina! Although I didn't end up purchasing my wedding dress from ALSW... I wish I did!! I came here with my bridesmaids and mother to try on dress for the FIRST time... I had such an amazing experience and felt so welcomed from the moment we walked in. The only reason why I didn't purchase my dress from here is because they didn't carry "the one!" I worked with ALSW for my wedding on June 29th, 2018. I loved the experience from trying on dresses the first time to picking up my dress the week of the wedding. The atmosphere of the salon is relaxing, inviting, and simply beautiful. I worked with Kim and Angelica most of the time. Both of them were extremely kind and a pleasure to work with. They answered any question I had and explained anything I asked. My seamstress, Bridget, was so kind, genuine, and truly a phenomenal seamstress. My dress had many many layers and she made sure it all came together beautifully.

I absolutely loved my wedding dress (Alvina Valenta) and veil (Toni Federici). My wedding day vision helped come to life with the most perfect dress and veil for me.

I bought my dress at ALSW for my wedding on May 25, 2018 and I HIGHLY recommend them. I visited 5 different bridal salons in the NY and CT area and am so happy I went with ASLW. No other salon compared to the amazing experience I had. From the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by my bridal stylist Amber, I knew I was in great hands. She REALLY knew what she was doing and that made me feel so comfortable. She listened to the style I was looking for and wouldn't stop until she found me the perfect dress. Once my dress came in, she helped me to find my veil and headpiece. My whole look for my wedding was exactly what I explained to Amber and exactly what she gave me. For my alterations, I used Bridget and she was THE BEST. She was so friendly and really listened to me about how I felt in the dress. I wanted it to look like the dress was made for me and that's exactly the result I got. The day of my wedding I received so many compliments from guests about how it looked like the dress was made just for me and how beautiful I looked in it. If I could do it all again, I wouldn't waste my time going to other salons and just come here because the experience, the attention to detail, and their dedication is something I couldn't find anywhere else. You could really tell this salon loves their brides and wants everyone to feel comfortable, beautiful and happy. Come here to get your dress!

I had a wonderful experience with A Little Something White – from the first appointment with Amber, trying on dresses with my mother & maid of honor by my side, to the final fittings for my beautiful Pronovias gown, it felt personalized and very special. I had first visited Kleinfeld’s and initially saw my dress there, but ended up buying it at A Little Something White the next day for the more personalized experience. In addition to my gown, I chose a lace jacket for my ketubah signing & ceremony, and Amber was super helpful in finding the perfect jacket and ensuring it came out just right. Bridget did beautiful alternations, and the bustle was so easy that my husband was able to do it himself after the ceremony!

I found A Little Something White on a bit of a whim, and I was so happy I did! A Little Something White was my first and only stop while shopping for my wedding dress! I was definitely not expecting to fall in love with a dress on my first appointment, but my bridal consultant Olivia absolutely nailed it!! I showed her a picture of a dress that I liked - and the dresses she picked for me were so much better than I could have ever imagined! A Little Something White is cute, clean, and everything you could ask for in a Bridal Couture. We were greeted with a friendly face and celebrated with champagne when I said YES! The boutique has a wide variety of dresses, so you will definitely be able to find something in your budget. Olivia did a great job picking out styles that I liked (or even ones I didn't think I would like but then fell in love with) while staying within my budget. I recommend A Little Something White to ALL brides!

Only shop here for your wedding dress! This was the best decision we made when going dress shopping. These women ultimately felt like family by the time I got married, and I couldn't have asked for a better support system. Amber was the perfect person to help pick out my dress - no pressure, no nonsense. This was a BIG decision (one of the most important in my opinion), and we (my mom, sister and I) were so grateful to be working with Amber on this choice. My experience at A Little Something White was a true highlight of my wedding planning experience. From start to finish, the entire staff was professional, caring, and attentive. I had the opportunity to shop at a few other bridal boutiques before visiting A Little Something White, and their service (and gorgeous space) were unparalleled. I was not the kind of bride who thought that finding and fitting my wedding dress would be something I would enjoy as much as I did!

I echo the thoughts of other reviewers who commented on the level of kindness and attention of the staff. Kim was truthful, patient, and accommodating during my multiple visits to try on dresses. Bridget turned my dress into a dream with her expert seamstress skills and incredible attention to detail.

I live in NYC and would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone in the area. It is certainly worth the trip to be taken care of by these ladies.

I had a great experience at A Little Something White. Selecting my dress was easy thanks to Kim. She was patient, let me try on as many dresses as I wanted to, and stayed late to work with me. The alterations process was a little bumpy because I lost 20 pounds between ordering my dress and the wedding, but the owner Ashley was great in making sure that my dress was absolutely perfect. The customer service here is absolutely exceptional, and the dress selection is one of the best in the state. If you're looking for your wedding dress, definitely start here!

I had the such a wonderful experience purchasing my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses at A Little Something White. From beginning to end the experience was pleasant, simple, and organized.
Working with Kim was wonderful, she was patient with me as I determined what style of dress I liked best and worked best for my body. Kim had excellent suggestions and advice and never made me feel rushed or pressured. She was also extremely helpful during the process of picking my bridesmaid dresses. She was extremely helpful with facilitating the ordering process of my bridesmaid dresses-she contacted all my bridesmaids and made sure they submitted payment in a timely manner so there were no issues with timing or alterations. This was incredibly helpful and was one less thing I needed to worry about while wedding planning.
Everyone I encountered at A Little Something White was so helpful and kind. Ashley, the owner, is so lovely and was such a pleasure to work with and talk to.
Bridgette, the seamstress, was also amazing. She was so flexible with accommodating my schedule for fittings (as an out of town bride), she even held fitting appointments in her home. Bridgette did beautiful work, she got the fit and alterations absolutely perfect. My dress fit like a glove!
Overall, I can't possibly begin to express my gratitude to all the staff at A Little Something White for making the dress buying and alteration process so seamless and stress-free. I would recommend them to any bride to be!

I don't have enough positive words to describe my wonderful experience with A Little Something White and Ashley. ALSW is truly special: the place is super charming and the people working there are more than welcoming - I feel that's exactly how shopping for your wedding dress should be like and I wouldn't change a thing.

Before finding my dress at ALSW, I visited a lot of stores in NYC and I'm 100% sure that none of them would offer the same treatment that I received at ALSW, nor have the same vibe. Before visiting them for the first, I was almost deciding for a different dress, something that I've shared with them. But then I saw my dress at ALSW and everything changed... I was never pressured to choose their dress - Ashley even made compliments on the other dress when I shared my doubts. I spent a week trying to decide... And I remember thinking that it would maybe be harder to give up the experience of buying my dress at ALSW than the dress itself!!!

Many months later, when the dress finally arrived, all the way from Israel, there were some details that I wasn't happy about (all because I decided to change some things on the original dress). And I thought that nothing could be done about it at that point, since the dress came from such a long distance and we only had 2 more weeks before I had to leave for my wedding. BUT nothing is impossible to Ashley: she contacted the designer and had extra fabric and lace delivered in a WEEK - from Israel to CT. How impressive is that?! She even called the FedEx guy and made him come back on the same day when the first delivery attempt failed - something they don't usually do. The alterations were made very fast and they did everything possible to accommodate all my appointments in a little time. Like I said: you wouldn't get this type of treatment anywhere else.

I truly recommend ALSW to all brides out there and I hope they fell in love with a dress here too... Because I'm sure only good things will follow! :)

What an amazing store. I knew from the minute I walked in that I would get my gown here. The store itself is beautiful - exactly how a bridal shop should look. The staff was amazing and professional. I worked with Amber and I felt she truly understood what I was looking for. The first dress she pulled out and showed me ended up being my dress. She nailed it immediately! I tried on many other beautiful dresses, but ultimately went with the first one and I couldn’t have been happier. They were incredibly organized and thorough with everything - from the sizing, to the fitting appointments, to the accessories. One of the most amazing parts of working with A Little Something White was getting to work with their amazing seamstress, Bridget. She was an absolute dream to work with. Her attention to detail and expertise was impressive. I felt like she treated me the same way she would treat her own daughter - wanting nothing but the best. Two days before my wedding when I went to pick up my dress and I was devastated that the weather had taken a turn for our big day, she talked to me with such care and recommended I rent a fur shrug from ALSW and I am so glad I did. Was our wedding day cold? Yes! But did the fur look beautiful in our pictures? YES! My dress fit PERFECTLY and the accessories were stunning. And it was all thanks to Bridget. Kim and Bridget and the rest of the team at a Little Something White are the BEST! After visiting several boutiques, none compared. After speaking with Kim for only a few minutes, she understood my style and picked my dress almost right away. She is extremely knowledgeable and was able to size me perfectly and my dress fit like a glove and I needed minimal alterations. Although my alterations were minimal, Bridget one of the boutique's seamstresses, was a joy to work with and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Beautiful salon with an amazing staff. The process of choosing my dress and the fittings were great from beginning to end. I was so impressed with my first appointment in which Amber took her time to help me try on many dresses. She gave me suggestions and seemed to pick up on my style quickly. They are very accommodating, personable and the customer service is superb. The experience was enjoyable and the champagne is a nice touch. It was also pretty cool to meet the designer of my dress at one of their trunk shows and I would recommend this to any future brides. If you are in the area, this is the boutique to use!

This shop is awesome. It's very clean and sophisticated on both the inside and out and has nice lighting, hardwood floors and plush pillows making the whole experience very pleasant. The sales woman was great. She wasn't pushy and didn't hover over me. She let me, my sisters and mom browse the store and pull dresses we liked within my budget. She helped me try on each dress and helped me narrow it down to one choice without me realizing I was choosing my wedding dress that day. Good for them and good for me :) Good selection at all price ranges (I was in the $1,500 range) and the service was outstanding. Payment and communication afterwards to set up the fitting was seamless. I didn't get my alterations there because I live in Brooklyn but they work with a seamstress in Brooklyn who they coordinated the shipping of my dress with. Overall great experience! Would recommend to anyone. This was my second wedding dress shop on just one day of shopping, couldn't have been easier.

This shop is light, bright, airy and has all of their gowns out to see and touch. It is how every bridal salon should be--I was amazed when I went to a different shop after ALSW and they brought me into a dark dressing room and the consultant had to drag (literally drag them on the floor) the gowns out from a back room and I couldn't see what I was selecting. The service by Amber and all of the girls I was in contact with throughout the process was also incredible. Gave excellent reccomendations for dresses and wasn't pushy at all. I also ended up buying all of my accessories there the same day (veil, earrings, belt) because they did such a great job of pulling everything together. We went on a week day and were the only ones there! Such a relaxing, incredible experience. Also, their seamstress Bridget is absolutely fabulous. She truly knows what she is talking about and made my dress fit perfectly, including building an illusion neckline from scratch onto my strapless gown. Definitely recommend this bridal shop.

I can't say enough how sweet and helpful all of the staff at the store are. On the day we purchased the dress, they gave us champagne to celebrate and made it a truly memorable experience. Any time that I had a question about anything, I was responded to almost immediately. I highly recommend buying your wedding dress at A Little Something White!

I honestly have nothing but good things to say about A Little Something White or the owner, Ashley. Firstly, I loved ,my dress more than I can possibly say. It was PERFECT for me. I went into my appointment saying that I wanted a certain kind of dress and while Amber totally listened to me and pulled a bunch that fit what I asked for, she also asked me a favor: "Will you just try this one on for me? I think it would look great." At first I was kind of thrown, but I tried it on so as not to be rude. First dress I tried on and it was the one I bought. They just know what they're doing. Also, and this is really to their credit, there was a misunderstanding in something I said I wanted, which came in totally different than what I was expecting. While it was frustrating at the time, I was SO impressed with how well ALSW handled it. They got it fixed and made sure I was happy and treated me with the utmost respect. They really made me feel that not only the dress, but the experience, was tailored to me. They also got my dress shipped out to me in Los Angeles and even were able to recommend a great seamstress to me for alterations, all the way across the country. I could not be happier with the experience. Oh, and yes, like other people say, Ashley is the absolute sweetest.

This bridal salon is THE BEST hands down. I had ordered a dress from another salon and three weeks before my wedding, my dress had STILL not come in. They were giving me such a hard time and basically telling me they had no idea when my dress would be coming in, and they legally didn't have to give me the dress until the date of my wedding. Now in a panic, my mother and I decided that we would go find a new dress, and just sell the original one once it came in (if ever at all). Distraught and discouraged, I went back to A Little Something White to see if they could do anything for me, I had shopped there months before and they were SO sweet.

ALL of the women there were absolute angels. Kim, my consultant, and Amber, the consultant who originally helped me, assured me that I would not only have a dress for my wedding, but it would be perfect. Kim put me in every sample dress that would fit me, and even some dresses that were store samples that were not for sale. They said if there was anything that I liked they would sell it to me, since we were pretty limited on what I can order in such a short amount of time. I ended up finding the most beautiful gown that fit me perfectly, and they were able to make minor alterations in a few short weeks. 2 weeks later I was able to pick up my dress and go get married in a dress that was perfect.

The employees at ALSW did not have to do what they did, but it means the world to me that they were so sweet and helpful, during an extremely stressful time. Ashley, Amber and Kim were absolutely incredible, and Bridget my seamstress was a miracle worker to do the alterations on such a time timeline. I have (and will continue to) recommended them to any bride getting married especially if you want grade-A service. It is really true that you get what you pay for, and my dress and the feeling I had wearing it that day were priceless. And so are the women at A Little Something White.

LOVE LOVE LOVE A Little Something White! I went to seven different places before going to A Little Something White and it was such a huge difference from all the other stores. I don't know why I didn't make it my first stop in the beginning! The minute you walk into the building you notice the professionalism and difference from the other bridal stores. The store is incredibly organized and well designed. And the whole team is amazing. Kim was very patient with me while I tried on dozens of dresses, Ashley was so helpful in making sure that I was happy with my dress and that we were able to meet all deadlines and Bridget was awesome through the entire alterations process. She's so talented and knows exactly what she's doing. The team (it really was a whole staff effort) also helped me pick the perfect veil and earrings to match my dress. I had so many compliments on my wedding day. I couldn't have been any happier with my experience there and I encourage all brides to make it their first stop.

This boutique bridal store provides everything a bride needs to feel special. Ashley understands her business and has selected lines of very fine wedding gowns that provide variety in regard to style and price range. Once the gown was selected, most of our time was spent with Bridget, who did the alterations. There are not enough stars to provide a rating for her!!! She is an artist and delightful to work with. I recommend A Little Something White Bridal Couture without reservation!

Ashley and her team at A Little Something White were incredible!! Everything from the service, gown selection, accessories were excellent. I worked very closely with the seamstress, Bridgette, to create a shawl/bolero which I wore for the ceremony. She is so talented! I could not of been happier with my dress. I cannot say enough good things about Ashley and her team. She is interested and engaging with all of her customers and makes everyone feel absolutely at home. She takes the time to really talk with you and get a feel for what you want as well as put you at your ease…no easy task with anxious brides-to-be! And she carries the most spectacular collection of dresses! Ashley and Amber were fabulous, I recommend this bridal salon to ALL of my friends who are engaged! The service is wonderful and they have a beautifully curated collection of gowns. They were able to work well within my price points and when I wanted to try on dresses that were outside my budget, they let me know in advance so I wouldn\'t fall too much in love with a dress I couldn\'t afford. They also have a beautiful collection of accessories. They offer wonderful personalized service and give you plenty of time in your appointment so you never feel rushed.\r\n\r\nI also had my alterations done by Bridget, unfortunately she is only there Mondays and Thursdays, but she did an amazing job on my alterations, my dress fit me PERFECTLY and she even added 3 extra ties to my bustle when I mentioned that I wasn\'t sure how I felt about dancing in my dress (I had a french/under bustle). \r\n\r\nWonderful place, check them out!

From the first email I received from Ashley, the owner, and Amber, I felt like I was an important customer. I had a wonderful experience trying on wedding dresses and after trying on 2 dresses at another store and 4 or 5 at A Little Something White I decided on my wedding gown. I am so excited! They were very helpful, gave me as much time as I wanted to walk around in the gowns and made me feel comfortable. They talked me through different options and when I went to the trunk show I got my dress and veil. My mom and dad, future mother in law and a couple of my girlfriends came with me and also had a great experience. We are buying our bridemaids dresses from there for the wedding too and they have been incredibly helpful in coordinating for my bridal party. I would highly recommend A Little Something White to any bride for her gown and her bridemaids dresses. I am most likely going to have my flower girl also get her dress from there. Hoping they add mother of the bride gowns soon.

I couldn't say enough about my experience at A Little Something White...After going to a few other wedding dress shops before & after my visit here - I knew I needed to come back. Their collection of dresses far surpasses any other shop I went to in the area and they don't carry the snotty aire that sometimes comes with shopping in Fairfield County. I was so lucky to find my wedding dress at such a warm, friendly, and accommodating store. From the very first moment that I visited A Little Something White, I knew I had discovered a gem. The store is small and inviting, and full of beautiful dresses that cover a wide range of styles and budgets.

When I arrived for my first appointment, Amber and Ashley made me and my friend feel right at home. They were extremely patient, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They listened to what I wanted (or thought I did), never pressured me, and helped select amazing dresses for me to try on. I tried on a variety of dresses and ended up liking one much more than the rest. I didn't make a decision that day, but couldn't seem to get that dress out of my mind. When I came back, Amber had the dress ready to try on again, and I was quickly able to make my decision. It was truly an amazing experience going to A Little Something White and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I was never a girly girl and had no clue what I wanted in a wedding dress, so I had a very difficult time deciding which dress was "the one".

I went to at least 15 bridal stores before finding A Little Something White and couldn't be happier with my decision.

Ashley and Amber were extremely patient, allowing me to come back multiple times to try on the dress for my mom / bridesmaids who hadn't yet seen me in it.

I fell in love with the body of one dress but thought I might want a dress with lace....they called the designer and had lace added to the dress.

They organized the bridesmaids dresses so I didn't have to do a thing (they reach out to your bridesmaids for you telling them when they should come into the store, what options for dresses they have, etc.). The bridesmaid dress collection is fantastic.

I can't speak highly enough about Ashley & Amber. They are nice, patient, accomodating and extremely helpful. There were nights where I was late getting out of work and they stayed late for me and when they heard my MOH was sick, they offerred to go to her house to take her measurements.

Before finding a Little Something White, I was in stores that either had nice dresses with snoody people or had nice people but dresses that were not my style at all.

The boutique itself has so many classic beautiful dresses at reasonable prices, it'll be hard to pick!

From the moment we walked in the shop, we were given all the attention and patience we could want. We went into the shop hoping to find my wedding dress, but were uncertain that we would find it (incorrectly thinking that it was a small shop and might not have a large selection). As it turned out, they had tons of dresses in all different styles and I ended up having to narrow down my favorites until I finally picked my dress!! The moment the decision was made, the shop owner popped a bottle of champagne and we all celebrated with a glass!

While we were there, we had my bridesmaids try on some dresses as well...and before we left, we had chosen a dress for them too!

Since the service was so amazing, we chose to order our flower girl dresses and men's ties from A Little Something White as well! From start to finish, they've made everything super easy for us! We've just had to make the decisions, and the shop has taken care of all the little details!

I can't recommend this shop enough! A Little Something White was exactly what a bride pictures when hoping that their dress shopping will be a once in a lifetime experience!

I found this boutique last minute after the original dress I ordered never arrived. It was one week before my wedding and these ladies brought me in with open arms, greeted me with champagne and helped me find the perfect dress. I was only in CT for work and live 3 hours away, so they were incredibly accommodating when it came to scheduling a fitting - opening their store just for me on a night they were closed. The service here was wonderful and the dress selection was incredible. My dress was absolutely perfect and I have them to thank. I recommend that everyone come here!

Ashley and her team were AMAZING!!!!! I emailed with Ashley a bit before my appointment about things I liked, but I didn't really think I would find a dress my first time trying. Walking in to the light-filled boutique was amazing- there are so many types of gowns- I couldn't believe all the styles. They had such a range from classic to fashion forward. The whole experience was beautiful! Ashley actually selected my gown for me! It 's not something I would've chosen for myself off the rack, but when I put it on I fell in love! There were almost too many beautiful dresses to choose from, but I could not be happier and I'm so glad that Ashley pulled this dress for me!!!! The veil and belt I got pulled the entire look together and it was amazing that I could get everything in this one shop. I can't recommend it enough!

After trying a trunk show sample of one of Liancarlo's dresses in Chicago. I hunted down a shop in the NYC area so that I could try it on again and purchase, so that I wouldn't have to go back to Chicago for alterations each time. (I live in NYC). I searched and found that this designer's work was sold at A Little Something White in Darien, CT, and that the trunk show was there!

I called on a Friday and they were able to take me in Saturday morning! I found it and bought it. The place was so adorable, clean, spacious and modern - unlike my experiences in NYC. Ashley and Amber was so warm and patient with me, as I tried to make my mind between two styles.

Each time I had to come up for my three fittings, they would pick me up and drop me off at the Darien, CT train station. It was so wonderful to go there and escape NYC. I'll actually miss my trips up!

Also, their seamstress, Bridget, was awesome and knew how to bustle and handle my dress. It was the perfect fit. Lastly, they even shipped my dress (insured) to Chicago, and it arrived safe and sound. The dress was wrapped perfectly and done in a way that I actually didn't even need to get it steamed again (it was a tulle dress, so that helped).

I would highly recommend A Little Something White for your dress of your dreams! I always loved looking at the different styles even after I picked mine out, too!

Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish

I loved working with A Little Something White. I had been to many other bridal salons throughout CT and NYC and they were all dark without any natural light and tons of gaudy dresses. When I walked into A Little Something White, I was first awed by the bright natural light and secondly by the curated collection that spoke to me. Our sales woman Kim was so helpful in understanding both my vision, my mom’s vision, and my mom’s friend’s vision (who was helping us shop) and bringing suggestions for me to try on. With Kim’s guidance, we combined two Suzanne Neville dresses to make my dress. She helped us envision how it would look by putting on wearing multiple dresses. When it came to the alterations process, I loved how organized the team was. Rosie, who did my alterations, was amazing and so knowledgeable. I loved how it turned out and how she did my bustle. Overall, the experience from walking into the shop to picking up my dress before the wedding was outstanding. I would recommend and local or non-local brides to check out the salon, especially if you are looking for timeless, classic dresses with a modern twist.

I can't say enough good things about A Little Something White! I was married this past April and purchased my gown through the shop last year. They have a great selection and the sales associates were very informative and friendly. Ashley, the owner, was so personable and always available with advice for both my family and her staff. She was the perfect balance for a shop owner in that she was professional and got things done efficiently while also having a warm and approachable attitude every time I saw her. The seamstresses did an amazing job-my only advice would be to schedule your fitting dates with a lot of notice as they are very busy and like to stick you with the same seamstress each time. I did not schedule mine until my dress came in and it required a bit of flexibility from both parties. I would recommend the shop to anyone!

I got my wedding dress at A Little Something White. I scheduled an appointment after learning that they carried the designer I was looking for. They had the dress I had been eyeing, and I happily chose it! I also got my veil, earrings and bracelet for the wedding there. The staff was very helpful, and the seamstress was amazing. She turned an already beautiful dress into the perfect dress for my body. Except for one alterations appointment when the boutique was crazy busy, every visit was fun and relaxed. Definitely worth making an appointment here, they have gorgeous gowns and knowledgeable consultants!

A Little Something White is amazing. This is such a charming, beautiful bridal shop, and the women there clearly love what they do. I went to a sample sale there after receiving an email announcement from The Knot. It was my first time trying on dresses and I did not expect to go home with one since my wedding was 15 months out. I thought it would just be a fun afternoon with my mom and Maid of Honor to start seeing what I liked. I tried on a few dresses I had seen online and did not like them on me at all. I sincerely thought I wasn't ready to get one. Well, I was wrong. I tried on THE dress. It was perfect. We all cried. Kim, my consultant, was great. She was ready with a veil and had me stand far from a full-length mirror to see what my future husband will see when I walk down the aisle. It sealed the deal. The champagne came out for all of us as soon as I said yes to the dress - which I got for more than half off, by the way. The champagne was a really nice touch. No pressure here either. Since I was there for the sample sale, I got to choose dresses from a section in the back of the store. But all the regular price dresses are out on the floor for brides to choose from. The consultant does not just pick for you from a huge stock room. I liked that a lot. Definitely recommend A Little Something White!

Must get your dress at alsw

I could talk about how amazing A Little Something White Bridal Couture is all day. I was sure I wanted a full lace gown with sleeves, and when I tried on my dream dress it was a FLOP! Kim was ESSENTIAL in helping me find my dress, and put me in something I swore I would NEVER wear, but ended up loving!! Strapless, form fitting, NO LACE, gown :) It was PERFECT! I said "YES" to a beautiful Suzanne Neville gown, which I paired with a custom bolero (also purchased at ALSW) and a custom veil (purchased elsewhere).

The store itself is beautiful, clean, and organized. Not once did you feel overwhelmed by dresses or by other brides in the store.

I also purchased my bridesmaids dresses from ALSW. The first dresses we ordered were Hayley Paige and had a beaded bodice with a chiffon skirt... problem being, that when they came in a mere 8 weeks before my wedding, the top and bottom were NOT the same color. Liz and Kim killed it and we were able to have all the bridesmaids return their original dresses, and order them new ones (also from Hayley Paige). I honestly don't know what I would have done without Kim and Liz!

A Little Something White has the best selection of bridal gowns and are VERY accommodating and worked with me closely throughout the entire process. I bought jewelry, my gown and my veil from their. Their tailor is incredible and the staff is amazing!

The salon was absolutely beautiful and the service we received was impressive. The consultant listened to my daughter and picked a dress out for her that was breathtaking - exactly what she was looking for, but would never have described or thought existed. My only concern was that the consultant put her in this beautiful dress without telling us that the dress was $1000 over her budget. Anyone above a size 2: stay away

I was deeply disappointed by my appointment at a little something white. Due to COVID, I felt it was important that the appointment be private. ALSW charges 350 for a private appointment while providing food, champagne, fresh flowers, a bridal gift, and 150 credit towards your dress. I thought it was worth it due to covid and due to the amazing reviews they had. They tried to reschedule my appointment 3 times after charging me for the private appointment. I'm usually a size 6 or 8 and I expect to fit into most bridal sample sizes. I've been to 3 different salons and had no trouble fitting into gowns, in fact, they've been too big. So to pay 350 dollars to go to a store to have my ENTIRE butt and back gaping out of these dresses was so ridiculous it was almost funny. The saleswoman told me it was because they were "off the runway" and "from London." I appreciate high-quality dresses especially by well-known designers, but to go to this store and not even fit into the dresses was absurd. It totally ruined my ability to seriously consider the dresses as I would have no idea how they'd actually look on me. Some dresses I couldn't even try on because they wouldn't go past my knees. Brides come in all shapes and sizes and the last thing a bride wants to feel is crappy about their body while they try on dresses. I don't even represent the average size of the American woman, so to have this much trouble was ridiculous. thank god I paid to have the store shut down or I would never have even come out of the changing room. On top of that, the sales clerk told me 5k was a healthy budget but then showed be nothing under 4k and when I tried to shop their sales rack she told me that those dresses were all "duds." So disappointed. My fellow curvy girls: don't waste your time.

I grew up in Connecticut but live out of state. I chose to go dress shopping in Connecticut first, so that I could include my mom, grandmother, and sister that still live there. I went to A Little Something White and found a dress I absolutely loved! I worked with Kim and she was great with pulling dresses based on my style until I found the perfect one!! I was a little unsure about ordering the dress to ship to my house in another state, because I wouldn't be able to make the trip up to Connecticut for my alterations. Kim assured me that the office could provide me a list of seamstresses in my area that they trust. I was sold and ended up buying the dress. At the time of purchase I was told that I would be sent a list of seamstresses soon after.

I reached out to the store 4 months after buying the dress asking for the list so that I could start calling around. At this time Kim told me that the store owner would look into it for me. 4 months after that I contacted Kim again since I still did not receive a list. I was told that she would go to the store that day and look for me. Again, I did not hear back. At this point my dress had come in. I asked another office manager about getting a list and was told that she contacted the owner, Ashley. After another two weeks of trying to get the list I contacted Ashley directly who apologized and said she would touch base with me in a few days. This was almost TWO MONTHS ago. I still have not received a list and have since taken matters into my own hands and found a seamstress in my area on my own since my wedding is in two months.

I am incredibly disappointed with the level of service provided by A Little Something White. After spending thousands of dollars on my wedding dress and hair piece from them, I found them to be unreliable and unorganized. I would NOT recommend them to any current or future brides. While their dress selections are beautiful the management of the business was very poor.
