Lido beach resort November 2024 wedding

Lido beach resort was the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding! The resort/ grounds/ beach were beautiful even though Helena and Milton tried to crash our event! I cannot thank Jayme, the resorts event manager, enough. He made certain that all our guests were well taken care of. Kudos to lidos chef… our guests raved about our wedding dinner! Thank you to the waiters/ waitresses, bartenders, swanky Christine, our DJ that kept the dance floor hopping! Highly recommend this venue!

Dream Wedding

Lido Beach Resort exceeded our expectations by providing a first-class experience for our wedding party. From the initial planning stages to the big day, their flexibility and attention to detail truly stood out.

The team at Lido Beach Resort showcased exceptional professionalism and were always willing to accommodate our requests with a positive attitude. They made sure to address any concerns we had promptly, ensuring a smooth and stress-free planning process.

One particular highlight was the resort's stunning decor and ambiance, which added a touch of elegance to our special day. The staff went above and beyond to create a beautiful setting that left us and our guests in awe.

While there were a few minor details that could be improved upon, such as slight delays in responsiveness to certain inquiries, these were overshadowed by the overall fantastic experience we had at Lido Beach Resort.

In conclusion, we highly recommend Lido Beach Resort for any couple looking to have a memorable and magical wedding experience. Beautiful Venue

Lido Beach Resort was the whole package! The beaches were beautiful, with gorgeous sunsets. Even though we were set to have a sunset wedding, it was drizzling the day of, but we were able to proceed with the ceremony on the beach! (They had an alternative for if the weather got really bad, and told us that it is up to us and that if it needs to be changed last minute they were on it). The beach was blocked off for our guests to sit and other hotel guests to stay back. The beach was cleaned and looked beautiful. We worked with Scott and Kara. Both wonderful planners! Responses were fast and provided all information we needed. It also included a cake, made by Cakes by Ron, which was coordinated and set up just perfectly at the venue. It also included a personal behind the scenes coordinator Swanky Soiree. They made sure everything was set up and that everything ran so smooth. It was a stress free wedding for us. We were able to come and taste test the food before the ceremony. The food catered was DELICIOUS. We also were able to pick the color schemes for the reception, which was also held at the hotel. Everything was perfect. We even stayed at the hotel, and received phenomenal service.

Lido Beach Resort Irwin Wedding

There were a variety of issues that came up (outside of the resorts control) that they were able to quickly handle and/or work around! This place is beautiful and very accommodating. The staff is very friendly and quick to respond. Our wedding turned out Amazing and I would highly recommend.

I loved it!

The resort was everything we wanted for our honeymoon. The beach view suite and views was fabulous. The customer service was excellent. The beach was breathtaking and the tiki bar was our favorite while staying there.

Checked all the boxes

We wanted a beach wedding with a great indoor reception. Lido is exactly that! I’m so excited to have a sunset wedding on the beach! Then cocktail hour is outdoor but covered so our guest will still enjoy the sunset. Then we go inside to an amazing ballroom! The price is definitely affordable as well! Karen is the best!

Beach wedding success

The beach venue is beautiful as well as the newly renovated ballroom!! The event manager scott was a great help in making my day a dream come true!! I started with another event coordinator half way through ended up with scott handling our wedding, would have been better if he was with us from the beginning! All in all I was very pleased with the resort! I would recommend lido beach resort for your wedding if your dealing with Scott, you will be in good hands.

Amazing views, great service & wonderful location

I couldn’t rave more about having my wedding here! Amy was easy to work with, attentive and handled every detail. We had a smaller wedding and it felt perfect here. We could have everything from the beach front ceremony to a pool side cocktail hour to a gorgeous reception space. The food was great! The views for photos were spectacular and all of the guests loved staying here!

Amazing and Perfect

What a wonderful experience we had with Lido Beach Resort. Sara and her team took care of EVERYTHING! All of our guests stayed at the resort to give us that togetherness feel for the entire time. The beach style wedding was PERFECT. I've never had so many compliments from all of my guests regarding the resort and the food and service at the reception. THANK YOU!!

Very professional yet fun.

Cordnature went above and beyond our expectations. She actually listened to what we wanted and offered several choices. This was the very first venue we looked at And both of us agreed on the spot this was the perfect place for our wedding

Beautiful Beach Wedding and Great Staff!

Just had our wedding (reception and ceremony) at Lido Beach Resort and we couldn't have been happier! Kara who was our coordinator was extremely helpful and kind throughout our entire process! Kara communicated great with all of our vendors and everyone knew exactly what was going on.
The day of was great and our reception set up couldn't have been more beautiful and accommodating! Bill the bar tender did a great job and kept everyone well hydrated!
The venue couldn't have been more beautiful and the staff more helpful for a true beach wedding!

My husband and I have to hand it to the Lido Beach Resort and their wonderful staff. Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of, thanks to their help. We choose to have a destination wedding and when we saw their venue, we knew this was the place. If you haven't been, Lido Key is a little quiet slice of Florida heaven. It's chill, outdoorsy, and has the best sunsets!

First we must mention their amazing event coordinator, Megan Meehan. She was what I called our "wedding whisperer". She kindly and patiently provided guidance and advice along our two month path of planning being that we were novices. On the day of our wedding, she navigated us through a patch of rain, the sky opened up and Megan and her team helped to get our show on the road.

The beach ceremony was just breath taking with the ocean in the backdrop. The food was even better, their chef really knows what he is doing. Lastly, the sunset in the Sunset Terrace Room stole the show!

A special shout out to Micheal, their amazing and skilled chef, Jim who manned the bar, and their gracious and accommodating wait staff C.B. and Crystal, to mention a few. Each member of the Lido Beach Resort staff played an integral part in making our wedding weekend run smoothly.

Last but not least, we decided to host a farewell brunch the following day at the resort, in the same room. All we have to say is, if you HAVEN'T BEEN to the Lido Beach Resorts Sunday Brunch ... YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. Our guests were so enamored with the night before that no one really expected much from brunch the next day. Little did they know! It was AMAZING. When I say there are so many choices, that is an understatement and ... its all delicious!

Our wedding weekend went off with a BANG and we wanted to thank those who helped make it possible. THANK YOU Lido Beach Resort. You have an amazing staff and facility. We look forward to returning to celebrate many anniversaries to come.

The wedding was gorgeous and set up exactly Howe we requested. Staff was so friendly and helpful, the manager even went home to get us her personal steamer for my dress after I found it had been wrinkled during the transport!

Our wedding at the Lido Beach Resort was absolutely perfect! Megan was our planner and she was always very prompt to respond to me and made sure the entire location. The ceremony on the beach was beautiful and the view from the sunset terrace was amazing! The food here was the best wedding food I have ever had! the only con was that the sunset terrace was very hot during our reception and a lot of guests complained that it was uncomfortably hot but everyone still had a great time

Great experience, such a friendly staff and beautiful rooms. My guests and I all flew in from out of town and it was so refreshing to have an ocean view to wake up in the morning. Everyone had a lot of fun and had a great relaxing vacation during our trip. My wedding was a success, so happy and will definitely come back on another occasion first chance I get to come back to FL.

In the middle of our wedding planning, the resort hired a new wedding planner (Brynn) and she is fantastic! She is very responsive and flexible and organized. The resort is beautiful and the food is VERY good. We had no issues during our wedding weekend and we had several events including our brunch at the resort. The beach and resort was a perfect place for our photos and very comfortable for our guests to stay and enjoy the beauty of Lido Key. I couldn't be more pleased with our choice to have our wedding at this venue!

I absolutely LOVED our wedding. Our wedding was a dream come true! Prior to booking at LBR I read previous reviews about the onsite wedding coordinator, Mandy. I was very excited to meet and work with her. She was AMAZING! Everyone that we came in contact with at LBR was extremely helpful, including Rachel, Brynn, Amanda, Kim, and Mo. The tasting went so well, that I was afraid that the food would not be the same at the actual wedding. We were not disappointed; the food was excellent, and all of our guests were thrilled. We planned for an outdoor ceremony that had to be moved in due to inclement weather the day of. The ceremony still ended up being very beautiful. We even had a great check-in experience at the front desk. The agent was very friendly and engaging. If you are looking for a beautiful venue, great food, gorgeous views, with a highly professional staff, LBR is the venue in Sarasota for you.

My husband I planned our wedding at the Lido Beach Resort from NC. Mandy Piekarski was great to work with. I almost always got a response back to any of my emails within hours if Mandy was working that day or very early in the morning once Mandy returned to work. Mandy ensured that every detail was handled for our reception, and it allowed my husband and I to really enjoy our reception and for it to be a stress free fun night! The food was absolutely amazing, we did a duo plate of grouper and filet mignon, and our bartender for the reception had memorized what everyone was drinking by the end of the cocktail hour and made sure everyone's glass stayed full through the remainder of the night! We had our reception in the Sunset Terrace and had 46 guests and a dance floor which was perfect for that space. Everyone enjoyed seeing the sunset that evening. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there as well and so we stayed on the property for a total of 8 nights...we had a blast! The property and beach are gorgeous and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want to have an amazing wedding/reception and to be able to enjoy every moment of it and know that everything and anything will be handled....then I would highly recommend having your wedding/reception at the Lido Beach Resort :)

My husband and I chose the Lido Beach Resort for our wedding and reception because not only is the setting beautiful but we really liked the event manager! Everyone we worked with amazed us at their professional knowledge, patience, and willingness to help. They went above and beyond anything we could have expected! The food was amazing, I can't over state that (many of my guest complimented it). The guest rooms were gorgeous and everyone loved them! The crowning jewel is the Sunset Terrace reception room.With spectacular views of Lido and Sarasota it was the perfect place to follow the beach wedding at sunset. It was so stunningly beautiful we didn't need to add any decoration!

The best part was the day of the wedding, after so much planning, we both had a few hours to sit by the pool and the beach. It meant so much that the resort had everything taken care of so we could take a moment and prepare for the idea that the next time we would see each other we'd be married! I never thought I'd get that and it was invaluable.

I would HIGHLY recommend the LBR for any of your needs. From the event coordinator, Mandy, to the front desk staff and everyone in-between this resort knows exactly what their doing and what you'll need! Their helpfulness from the first visit to the day we checked out as a married couple was outstanding and unparalleled.

Mandy and Lido Beach Resort was awesome. Everyone was so impressed with the facility (other than the low rise rooms - they need an upgrade which I understand is coming soon). Food was fantastic, the sunset room was gorgeous. The only hiccup was when the bellman delivered our wedding flowers to the wrong room. Luckily it was to my brother (same last name) so it was more of a laugher than a stressor.

I was very concerned when I started planning our destination wedding but I have to say that Mandy made it so easy. She and the rest of the staff were helpful and very professional. Also, this location has a wonderful view and our wedding pictures turned out phenomenal!!

I highly recommend Lido Beach Resort for weddings! We were supposed to have a beach ceremony but it had rained. I am so glad that they had a second option. Mandy did great with everything and really put me at ease!! She went over and beyond and did all the decorating we had provided since there was an event before ours. She stayed in touch and gave advice throughout my planning!! I had worked at the resort when we had first moved to FL and we continue to visit! They have an excellent staff!! Thank you to Mandy and team for making our wedding day special and unforgettable!

I could not have picked a bertter place to get married.... The beach at sunset was AMAZING!!! Mandi (wedding planner) listened to everything I ask for. The food was amazing, people came up to me and said it was the best wedding food that they had ever had. The venue was perfect for family and friends not to mention so pretty cool photos! I would tell anyone who is looking to get married in Sarasota that this is the place!!!

My overall experience with the Lido Beach Resort was amazing. When I was first looking at possible wedding locations in the Sarasota area, I was focused on the Ritz, Philippe Creek, The Water Club (Ritz), Ringling, and The Oaks Club Ballroom. I looked at all of the above locations and had major hesitations with all of them. After a stressful day of visits, we stopped at the Lido Beach Tiki Bar for happy hour to relax. While we were there we realized that they were setting up for a wedding on the beach and that they had a ballroom upstairs. After checking it all out and ending up in the Sunset Terrace for a cocktail at sunset we knew we had found the perfect location. Mandy and Kim were fantastic to work with and very responsive. I was lucky enough to have most of my friends and family come down to spend a week with us at the resort leading up to our wedding and it was fantastic! Everyone raved about the food, the service and how beautiful and fun it was. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! I would absolutely recommend this location for anyone looking to have a wedding, party, vacation or even a great night out for dinner.

It was magical. Mandy was there every step of the way start to finish. She made sure to promptly reply back to all of my emails and questions. I felt confident throughout the whole process that she was on top of her game. All staff at the resort were amazing. I would not have changed anything about my experience. I will definitely reccomend the lido beach resort for any friends looking to get married in Florida. The vendor list provided was also very helpful. I liked how everyone knew the place before coming. There was no concern over what equipment would be needed because they had all been there before. The food was also good.

From the first site visit to the wave good-bye at the end of it all, the Lido Beach Resort was a dream come true! The staff was so accommodating and professional, and all with smiles! Mandy was an absolute delight to work with! Everyone was able to stay at the hotel with great rates, and everyone told me how much they enjoyed the hotel and their stay! The food presentation and quality of food was outstanding! My wedding day was absolutely perfect! If you are looking for the perfect place to have a beach wedding that has it all, the Lido Beach Resort is it!

Lido Beach Resort did an awesome job accommodating all of our guests. Although we live in the area, almost all of our guests were from out of state which made it somewhat like a destination wedding. The resort did and incredible job with making sure all of our guests needed were taken care of and they loved the location and view!

One word sums up my experience at the lido beach resort... AMAZING! In florida you will find NO BETTER venue than here. Lauren is out of this world. She is sweet as can be and understands what its like to be a bride whether you are a nervous wreck or totally laid back, she can help design the wedding of your dreams. The view from the sunset terrace is amazing. You get the ballroom feel with gorgeous views of the gulf of mexico. They even know what time sunset will be for your date so that you get just the perfect view. Everything was well thought out. My family and my husbands have RAVED about the entire process. In fact, they came back to stay at the resort just for a vacation. Look no further for a phenomenal venue!

The staff at the Lido Beach Resort made our wedding more than we could have asked for!!!! People raved about the food... Filet and lobster tail were well worth the money. The process was easy and quick and Mandy is patient, kind, and professional. We had the best time at our welcome reception which only added to the weekend. I'm just sad it's over!!!!!

This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.The Hotel wedding coordinator, Mandy, was the best! She was always there to help with a question I had. She was awesome! The dinner was fantastic! My wedding turned out exactly how I planned it and how I wanted it! It was gorgeous! I absolutely would recommend Lido Beach Resort to anyone!

Mandy was great to work with. Really helped me out throughout the whole process, from start to finish. Beautiful resort, and everyone had a great time! Wish the room block rates were a little more affordable for guests, but overall wouldn't have changed a thing. We loved our reception in every way and the staff was fantastic!!!!!

Challenging journey with a fairytale ending

Our Beach wedding at Lido Beach ended up being a fairytale wedding for us! It was so beautiful and everything we wanted it to be! The journey to get to that point was a little rocky. We had to change our date multiple times due to Covid. We then had to scale our wedding back quite a bit. For the most part Lido Beach worked with us. There was construction going on so one of the pools was closed during our wedding. The front desk area was also under construction. The rooms were pretty pricey considering there was construction going on. We will probably visit on our anniversary every year just to remember our special day at Lido Beach! The food was delicious. We had filet mignon, grouper, and chicken with a sweet potato purée and vegetables. The price was a little high but you were paying for the location and the view of the beach.

Our destination wedding at the Lido Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. The on-line pictures of the resort and beach underestimated its beauty. We are by no means wealthy but was able to afford a suite with a separate bedroom, 2 bathrooms and gulf-view balcony. This room was in the tower portion of the resort, which I highly recommend over the rooms adjacent to the tower. I reserved several of those rooms for my guests and they were jealous of my new husband's and my accommodations. But hey, I was the bride!

There were so many staff members that made our wedding special. It was a team approach, so individual names fail me at the moment. There were no less than 4 staff members responding to our specific needs at all times. There was no 'I can't reach anyone' episode.

The ceremony was located on the private beach of the resort. The area was blocked off but there were beach go-ers in the periphery. Surprisingly, they were a non-issue and did not affect our private event one bit. The walk from the resort to the beach was so short, it barely qualified as a walk. The beach was right there, and a railed path served as our walk down the isle.

The resort arranges quite a bit, including the reception chef. There were so many food options, I could barely choose. Luckily, each item was yummy and exceeded my expectations. I don't even like steak, but my husband requested it for one of the courses. I tried it, it was so good it melted in my mouth. Guess I DO like steak now.

Our servers were great. The bartender made a mean 'Sex on the Beach', my favorite drink. He was quite handsome and full of class. The food server was so kind, she was highly attentive.
On our wedding night, we returned back to our suite greeted by a complementary plate of goodies and champaign. One last thing I forgot to mention was the reception hall upgrade we received. The space had wall to ceiling windows looking out on the Gulf in perfect alignment with the Sunset! Satisfied customers

My husband and I got married at the Lido Beach Resort almost a year ago, and loved every second of our wonderful day. As we were getting married right at the start of the rainy season, the resort provides a place for the ceremony to take place in case of rain. They also provide a sound system on the beach that not many other resorts provide for you. Being from out of state, they provided a list of people they recommended for different serives...a few who we went with and were amazing. The food was exceptional and the waitstaff was great all night. We wish we could do it all over again for our 1 year anniversary! :)

My wedding was more beautiful than I ever dreamed of. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I did feel it was slightly more money than I had expected causing me to go over my planned budget. Like I said I wouldn't have changed a thing & loved every second from the suite, to the ceremony, to the reception. The staff and food was amazing. They were always there when you needed anything, yet not overwhelming. I would suggest this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful beach wedding.

I was so happy with my ceremony and reception at Lido Beach Resort. I live in Pennsylvania and so this was a destination wedding. I planned mostly through e-mail with Lauren. She was amazing to work with. She responded quickly and was very helpful in working with me to find a package that fit our needs. Lauren was promoted and now Mandy is the coordinator. She was helpful as well. She and the staff did a beautiful job setting up the Sunset Terrace room. At the reception Tadd was in charge and very helpful. The food was delicious, although some of the steak was very red. There were no hidden fees and they left strawberries and champagne in our suite. The only thing I would have liked was a free room on our wedding night. Everything else was what I dreamed of and more. The resort is beautiful and the beach is nice and private for a wedding=)

I had an unbelievable wedding at the Lido Beach resort. Lauren Thompson was so great to work with. She had answers to me in a timely fashion and was incredibly patient with my constant harassment with questions. The beach was incredible for the ceremony. The food was amazing! Filet was perfect. The rooms are a little expensive and there are a few extra fees I didn't except at first, but my overall experience was fantastic!

Was very pleased with the Lido Beach Resort services. This was a destination wedding for majority of the guests, so Kim and Mandy did a great job with handling all the Food Menu, along with, Room arrangements. There was a few problems with booking some of the rooms with the guests, but they were able to fix the problem very quickly. The views from the rooms, were absolutely breathtaking. Had a hard time leaving the resort for sure. The food was very good.

The Lido Beach Resort was the perfect place to have my wedding as I wanted to find a location that offerred a beach wedding with an indoor reception for a small party. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but my event coordinator (Mandy) was able to quickly secure an indoor location. I had many last minute changes and decisions to make, which got to be very stressful and I'm not sure I made the best choices. That being said, once the ceremony started, almost everything else fell into place. (I did have at least one minor glitch). The food was delicious, highly recommended, and our servers for the evening were fantastic. It really didn't matter to anyone that Tropical Storm Debby was going on outside. It was a very special, happy day!

Had my wedding at Lido Beach was very happy with the service except for a few things. During pictures my wedding party never recieved the snacks and drinks that were promised and by the time pictures were over it was all put away. Other then that I was very happy!!!

Went for sunset and cocktails at the pool bar with family after courthouse ceremony. Gorgeous sunset, good drinks and great staff. Dinner was great with views of gulf and bay. Great memories❤️

Our wedding rehearsal and reception were beautiful and comfortable. The banquet staff here goes above and beyond to help not only the bride and the groom with ANYTHING but all of our guests raved about their service! We also stayed at the resort and it was convenient, clean, and the rooms were gorgeous! The .5 marking done was for the rude behavior of the sales manager once we arrived. The staff and resort made up for her and then some!!

Megan was our Event Director and was absolutely fantastic! She was professional, courteous, prompt and fixed any issues that came about during our wedding weekend and the months leading up to it. Overall, our stay and hospitality at the Lido Beach Resort was great and we would definitely do it again! We had a fantastic wedding and I hear everyday from our guests that they feel the same way!

The Sunset Terrace at Lido Beach Resort was the perfect venue for our small destination wedding celebration. The view was exceptional and the food fantastic. We had a small intimate group and the staff was very accommodating to any special requests or needs we had. Every part of our celebration dinner fit the simple yet elegant plan we envisioned.

This is the nicest hotel in the Lido beach area in Sarasota in my opinion and I looked at a lot of them. Worth the extra $$. They upgraded my groom and I to a junior suite for free!

We held our wedding ceremony on the beach in front of the Sandcastle Resort, and the reception was at the Lido Beach Resort. Both hotels are owned by the same company. We worked with Dana Doyle at the LBR.

This venue is not cheap - you're paying for location, and by the end of the day, we were a little but tired of them nickel-and-diming us for everything (they just added on a $15/day parking fee, on top of the $25/day resort fee you will pay for bottles of water, beach towels, and wi-fi.) However, that seemed to apply more to the guest rooms than to the wedding costs - our final bill for the event did not have a lot of (or any, I don't think) unexpected fees tacked on.

But the location is beautiful, and Dana did a fantastic job putting together the wedding to match our vision. She was very responsive, and great about addressing all our questions and concerns. We had several guests with dietary restrictions (kosher), and she and the chef worked with us to create a menu that everyone could enjoy. She referred us to some great vendors. When it came time to deliver the very worst news you can give to a bride on the day of her beach wedding - that it was going to storm and we might have to move everything inside - she gave us the absolute most amount of time possible to make that decision, to see if the weather would change. (It did, and everything was fine, but if we hadn't had that extra two hours to make the call, it would have ended up all being inside.)

They say that things will go wrong on your wedding day, and that you have to just roll with it. But really, except for the weather giving me panic attacks until the last minute, it seems like everything went perfectly with no hiccups, and Dana and the staff at LBR and Sandcastle were largely responsible for that. So thank you for making our day perfect! (And holy cow, thanks for giving us until 3:00 to make that rain call.)

My wedding was spectacular. I live in Colorado so I was a bit worried about it all coming together as it was planned in my head however the Lido Beach Resort staff was on top of it all and extremely helpful with all my questions. They have done this many times before and were excellent and making sure everything went smoothly. The food was great, the staff was friendly and caring, and everyone was very accomodating. We had quite a bit of guests from out of town and everyone has said they loved the accomodations as well as the ceremony/reception. Thanks for making our day so special.

Great location

With the exception of the service at the onsite Cafe Lido, our stay at this resort was pleasant. The service at the Tiki Bar by the pool was on point. The wait staff for the bar and beach/pool attendants was amazing. We stayed in a suite and it was very spacious. The private beach was clean and the beach chairs were in great condition. For a reasonable fee you could rent a cabana or umbrella.

overall, everything was fabuloius, the food, the service, and professionalizm, i do have a few complaints, it was 85 degrees in my hallway the whole day of my wedding, and i asked numerous times for it 2 b taken care of, 2 no avail. i also asked 4 the cocktail hour not 2 start before we came into the room, because i would have liked 2 sample few goodies, i was assured my table would have a plate of our own 2 sample from, that never happened, and my only other complaint was, when it was time 2 cut the cake, there was no one ther 2 assist us. oh, 1 more thing , nothing 2 do with the event, but, they really need 2 do something with the adult pool, it was quite dirty 4 such a beautuful place.

Lauren Thompson was great! Fast to respond to information that you needed. Beautiful grounds and rooms! They set everything up beautifully and even packaged everything that was left behind for us! Service was very friendly and attentive!

Some charges that we didn't quite expect like a service charge on the alcohol along with a bartender fee, as well as a service charge on the room rentals! Bartender insisted on a tip jar which was unnecessary considering his tip (with the service chare and bartender fee was well over $1500)!

Overall everything was beautiful!
