Liane is an EXPERT even in a crunch!
My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Liane on our wedding day this past summer, and recommend her very highly to any couple looking for any planning or day of assistance!
Our start with Liane was a little untraditional in that we had a change of plans from another coordinator/planner who could no longer make our event, and she sent us to Liane - about a month prior to the wedding. While we were momentarily stressed about this change, we quickly realized we had no reason to worry.
Liane jumped in and did not miss and single beat, she immediately was well familiarized with our vision, plans, preferences, challenges, etc. She worked quickly, efficiently and accurately to get up to speed with us and go above and beyond to make our wedding day impossibly smooth!
The day of our wedding, I cannot say a single thing went wrong and I firmly believe a lot if not all of that is thanks to Liane and her team. As the bride I didn’t notice or see anything off plan or out of place, our guests were very well taken care of, as were the groom and I. I told her my 2 non negotiables were getting married and getting a slice of cake, and she made sure both happened without any issues! She even calmly but firmly ushered the groom away from the bar and back to me, and got his drink out for him.
If you want somebody who will be there right along side your vision and wedding dreams - who can clearly thrive even with minimal direction and time - Liane is the one for you. Your wedding day, you and your partner, friends, family, and vendors will all be cared for and on the same page.
Obviously I hope this is my one and only marriage, but if I ever did it again I’d choose Liane again - and recommend her up and down to anybody and everybody looking for these services. -

Highly recommend!
Liane was a delight to work with. We depended heavily on her for our daughter's destination wedding at the Edgewood Tahoe. Her experience with local vendors took much work off our plate in preparing and for the day of the wedding. She was always available by phone and very responsive to emails no matter how small the detail. This being our first wedding, I was unaware of the huge benefit of a wedding planner like Liane, but her help was worth every penny. -

So professional and attentive
I can't say enough about Liane and her team!! We selected the partial planning package and I felt at ease after the first phone call. Liane was full of ideas and all her recommendations were spot on for our wedding vision.
Day of the wedding was just the best. I knew Liane had our vision and the ceremony and reception venue was just gorgeous! She completely nailed it. It was even more beautiful than I imagined. She thought of details I hadn't considered. Liane and her team handled everything with grace and elegance. I thoroughly enjoyed the day thanks to them. I so appreciate their professionalism and attention to details. -

Fantastic Day of Coordinator!
I hired Liane's company's services for my 8/24/19 wedding at Squaw Valley Resort in Tahoe. In preparation for my wedding, Liane was professional, calm, organized and collected. Prior to the wedding we had phone calls to talk through my plan, and she always had great questions and anticipated some things I hadn't even thought of. Her team member, Denise, was my day of coordinator and did a wonderful job. It was as if Denise was a little wedding fairy running around and doing everything I had requested on my list and according to the timeline - the day was flawless and so wonderful. I couldn't be more appreciative of their services and so happy that I hired someone to help execute my wedding day! Hiring a coordinator was a really great choice, even for someone like me who considers herself a very organized bride but couldn't possibly have managed day-of without this service. Did you see those wonderful pictures? They're a true reflection of Liane's design which is elegant. Liane and her staff will amaze you and comfort you during your event! She a professional, has an eye for elegant design and will make your wedding, reception and party beautiful. She's a kind and caring guide especially for fast moving events (like weddings). I worked with her as a vendor (Officiant, Emcee and DJ) and she's great to work with (she's very calm, reassuring and gentle, yet will keep the event on track). Contact her today! We decided to have a day of wedding coordinator and Liane was the perfect choice! This really helped since we came from out of town and needed that reassurance for all the last minute details. Liane had a lot of experience with the staff at the Hyatt in Incline Village which helped even more. She came up with time lines for the vendors and the wedding party and was very professional and a good communicator. As the mother of the bride, I felt I could relax knowing those details were taken care of. Thanks, Liane, for your help on a very important day for our family!

Liane was my rock through all the major changes that were thrown at us from the venue or lack there of after it burnt down. Liane didn’t skip a beat in learning a new venue and dealing with my last minute table setting preferences. My favorite thing about using Liane is that she takes the initiative and keeps you on track. She doesn’t make you the middle man and will establish communication and timelines directly with the vendors. Our timeline was 100% custom to our liking and the day of was seamless. Liane McCombs was an amazing wedding planner, she helped us find amazing vendors within our budget. She was affordable and offered many different options to fit our needs. Liane and her staff were very professional, kind, and preformed above our expectations. Our wedding went off without a hitch, or at least without me knowing of it. She made sure mine and my husband's vision for a perfect day went off as planned. You can tell when a person loves what they do and has passion for it. Liane and her staff love what they do and have a passion for it. She is heartfelt, kind and easy going. Our wedding day could not have gone more perfect, and we owe a large portion of that to Liane. Hiring Liane McCombs was by far one of the best things I could have done. Coming from a very nervous first time older bride, I really did not have any idea how 10 months of planning was all going to come together, and now 12 days later, and back from our honeymoon, we are still hearing that our wedding was one of the most beautiful that our guests have ever seen. We couldn't have done that without Liane and her expertise. Every single vendor Liane matched us up with, we couldn't have been happier with- and Liane made sure that every second of the day- ceremony, reception, etc., was going right on time and without a hitch. Those are things you don't think of needing help with- but all my time was freed up to spend being a bride, and spending time with my bridesmaids, and creating once in a lifetime memories, and of course enjoying being a Mrs. after the ceremony and not having to worry about anything! My daughter's wedding was on July 16, 2016 in Gardnerville NV. It was perfect & beautiful & everything we could have hoped for. And I want to give a huge shout-out of appreciation to Liane McCombs, wedding planner extraordinaire!!, for getting us through the whole preceding year of planning and the wedding day itself. Completely thanks to Liane, all of our vendors were amazing. If I had to do it all over again, I would hire exactly the same vendors without pause. We felt like we had the Olympic team of vendors. Thank you Liane for guiding us to the BEST.
During the many months of planning, Liane was always accessible for my endless questions & concerns. Her advise was always calming and right-on. She helped tremendously keeping us on track, and even helped to diffuse some of that inevitable family head butting along the way. As a first-timer to the Mother of the Bride role, it was greatly comforting to me to be able to text/email/call Liane whenever a question popped into my mind.
The day of the wedding, Liane & her team seamlessly/comfortably kept things flowing nicely along.
Initially, we did debate about hiring a wedding planner.... But now, looking back, I can't imagine how we could have done it all without her! -

First off, this real review is from a vendor who worked in unison with Liane and her staff for a recent wedding reception at The Lodge at the Tahoe Tree Company / Lake Tahoe. This was not the first time Mountain Magic and LIane teamed together, executing a perfect summer reception.
I can go on with details and praise about Liane, especially having worked with many other coordinators and planners. Although will keep it simple,
... Always timely with lead in details pertaining to catering timelines, guest counts, menu related rentals and planned layout.
Day of, LIane and her friendly, professional assistants worked purposely with the catering staff. No drama and no stress. This began with her and carried to my service staff and myself.

Where do I begin? Liane was a godsend. After my husband-to-be and I decided to have our wedding in Reno rather than Charleston, SC., Liane was the first person I hired to help bring everything together. Due to my job in property management and my husband-to-be gone half the year as a firefighter, Liane was always there to help out. With Liane's guidance, my husband-to-be and I planned most of the major details six - nine months prior to our big day. Liane made all of the details of our wedding come together so smoothly and as a bride I didn't have to worry about a thing. Liane's wedding planning book was a huge help and there were many details Liane thought of that I didn't. If you are a bride to be and need a true professional, Liane should be the first person you hire. -

Liane McCombs is the most experienced, professional and genuinely friendly wedding coordinator I have worked with. Being a wedding DJ/emcee, I have worked alongside many coordinators and can honestly say Liane would be my first choice, for anybody's wedding, including my own. She has amazing attention to detail; she is never under-staffed (which happens often); and she and her staff are fully present and actually oversee not just the ceremony but the entire reception. Many wedding coordinators tend to drop off and disappear after things are set up and the reception starts-not Liane! She and her staff are there every minute, from start to finish. Furthermore, I know that if anything comes up, she can and will take care of it. Liane and her staff were marvelous for our daughter's wedding at the Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort on August 16, 2014. I would highly recommend her! Liane helped with vendor selection for which all the vendors she assisted with were top notch! Additionally, Liane was always available throughout the planning process to assist with choices and help wherever and whenever it was needed. Since the wedding was being coordinated by our daughter outside of the Reno/Tahoe area, it was greatly appreciated that Liane made herself available whenever our daughter was able to visit the Reno/Tahoe area.

We hired Liane as our "day-of" wedding planner. From the moment we met her she was professional and instantly proved to be an expert for all things needed in planning a wedding in Reno.
From quickly answering questions via email during the planning stage to leading our rehearsal the day before, Liane was awesome.
On the big day, Liane was right where I needed her at every moment (and always with a reassuring smile)! The day was perfect- if anything did go wrong, I didn't know about it because Liane and her team were on it. Every bride needs some help on their wedding day and I can't think of anyone better. A HUGE FIVE STARS!!!! Thank you Liane!

If you think you can do this without a wedding coordinator, you are wrong. I double-dare you to go it alone without one, because we'd have been toast without Liane.
We had already picked out the venue, caterer, photographer, DJ, and florist, and we thought things would be smooth sailing without a coordinator... Nope!! Wedding planning is unbelievably stressful. Try doing this yourself, I dare you.... things WILL go wrong. Things Will be forgotten and your multi-thousand dollar wedding will be a letdown because you wanted to save a couple bucks doing it yourself.
First off, Liane knows everybody. We picked all the best people, services, and equipment for our wedding before we met Liane because we did a ton of research, but Liane was already on a first-name basis with them all anyways - so believe it when she tells you she's connected with the best of the best.
Deciding which color of flowers or tablecloths is the easy part. Its the outrageous logistics that go into planning an event like this which make wedding preparation so stressful - and Liane's on top of EVERYTHING!
Two days before our outdoor wedding, we realized that the weather was going to ruin everything. Liane has an in with the party rentals company... She had us on the phone Thursday morning with tent information - including lining, walls, lighting, size, placement, timing, decorations, and cost. Just a few hours later, was walking the site with the venues's manager and crew so they could take care of the necessary prep-work.
Come Saturday, our DJ from San Jose (friend) got stuck up in the mountains (weather). Our reception was ruined.... Nope! As soon as we got that news, Liane called one of her DJs right after who showed up 15 minutes later with equipment! Freaking saved the day!!
Liane is always there to comfort you! She communicates and responds often! She is the best! She takes care of all of the details you don't want to deal with! Do not go it alone! BEST WEDDING OF ALL TIME -

I lead the band Rolling Heads and did a wedding with Liane on 9/14/13. We've had every variety of experience with wedding planners and can honestly say that this was the best. She was on top of every detail without stressing out the bridal party or other vendors. The event stayed on schedule without feeling overly structured. From my perspective, it seemed like we and the other vendors stayed informed, and felt appreciated. -

I am a professional wedding photographer in the Reno area. I do not get the opportunity to work with many wedding coordinators and planners but if I had my chance I would request it every time. Furthermore I refer Liane out to every bride I book. Liane's attention to detail throughout the wedding process is amazing but her ability to make a full day seem easy and perfect is really what sets her apart from the rest. She knows that its the Brides big day and she knows that the little things that brides usually deal with don't need to happen so she steps in. I cant say enough great words about Liane... But if you are a bride reading this just make your life that much easier and enjoyable by having Liane in your life. -

Like many people, I thought having a wedding planner was an extravagance we couldn’t quite budget it, but at my mother’s insistence, we decided to meet with Liane. And like most things, mom was right. After that first meeting I was convinced that Liane would not be an extravagance at all, but an absolute necessity. When my baker canceled one month out, I emailed Liane trying not to panic. In less than an hour, she had a recommendation for me and had even called that baker to let her know our situation. The cupcakes were a huge hit with the guests! During the entire planning process Liane was a true professional; I always received prompt replies to my emails, and her experience helped me turn my not quite complete ideas into a beautiful reality. The day of was gorgeous, everything I could have wanted! Liane helped run everything so smoothly that neither I nor my mother ever had to leave the celebration to solve a problem. When the complicated bustle on my dress refused to stay bustled, Liane was able to fix it no problem at all. I really don’t think I could have had such a beautiful, stress-free wedding without Liane’s help. I’ll be recommending her to every bride I know, Thank you again Liane for helping to make our day so perfect. -

Liane and her team helped us in making our destination wedding an unforgettable event. She was consistent in keeping us informed and aware of our timeline. She also helped us manage our priorities re getting and contacting the right vendors. She also made sure that all vendors were in the loop, even though some of our vendors were outside her circle. Best of all, she managed to make things happen without bothering us., such as finding a bake shop that will create my dream wedding cake coz our caterer could not do it. And also, coming to my rescue when my florist sent the wrong bouquet , a beautiful bouquet was delivered to my suite just in time for me to go to the ceremony! Perfect!
I also know that there were a lot of chaos behind the scene, during the transfer and set-up for the reception, but her staff and hotel staff made sure to keep it from me so as not to worry me.
With Liane's help our wedding was spectacular , my guests, friends and family were all very happy! And we have pictures to prove that.:)
My husband and I will forever cherish that day. -

As a professional event and conference planner I was very happy to serve as wedding coordinator at my niece's wedding at the Thunderbird Lodge this July. I was pleasantly surprised to arrive at the location the day of the wedding to find "day of" assistance offered by Liane. She was a fantastic second set of hands, always ready to step in and help where needed, remaining calm and cool in an otherwise hectic day. The wedding was the bride's dream come true; fairy tale setting and perfect weather. All details were handled professionally by the vendors so that the day came off without a glitch! First off I want to just say our wedding was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed every minute and have nothing but magical memories of everything about our special day.
We were married at St. Rose of Lima on June 16th and our reception was at the Auto Museum. We hired Liane and her team to do the "day of" and she did just that and more. Starting with the rehearsal the night before, we met Claire Ann who was AMAZING. I have read the reviews about her before mine and I have to say that was so far off from what we experienced. The staff at the church was hard to deal with to say the least and she interfered which was a life saver! You would think church staff would be nicer... she got everyone's names, helped organize the rehearsal and even calmed down the very wound up unnamed church staffer.
The next day was when Claire Ann and the staff truly shined. We hired them to handle the day of organizing, set up and all the in-between. They did EXACTLY that. My mom did not have to lift one finger which is exactly what I wanted. They set everything out, had everything organized and we got NOTHING but compliments on how everything looked so put together and every single thing about that night was so thought out and felt like a lot of love was put into it. WHICH THERE WAS! Having our mass held at a different location and the timeline left us no time to do any of that on our own and the relief that everything was taken care of was invaluable.
The one thing that truly touched me and made me feel like I wasn't just another client was that Liane showed up at the ceremony. She had already told me that another planner would take point on my day but that she took the time to check in and make sure everything was taken care of was that personal touch to the professionalism of the staff and meant so much. She makes sure that everyone gets what they need on their special day and EVERY bride deserves that.

Liane did my wedding last year in Virginia City, NV. She was very professional, my husband and I really enjoyed working with her. As a wedding photographer who photographs over 30 weddings a year, you could say that I definitely see my share of weddings! Every time I have a client tell me that they have hired Liane McCombs to be their wedding coordinator, I let out a sigh of relief because I KNOW that their day will be organized, beautiful & nothing short of perfect.
Liane is super organized, friendly, professional, moves quickly & makes each wedding I've done with her effortless. There are so many wedding coordinators who haven't a clue as to what is going on as the wedding day unfolds but Liane is prepared for the entire wedding day down to the last minute. She is so easy to work with, so professional & I love working with her!
I wish that all the weddings I photographed had Liane as the coordinator because I know without a doubt that their wedding would run smoothly, look amazing & that the bride & groom would be over the moon with her professional & incredible level of service. -

Growing up I always imagined my dream wedding and what it would look like. When I got engaged I had ideas for my wedding but wasn't sure how to make them become a reality. I had a friend recommend Liane McCombs, who also coordinated her wedding. She showed me her wedding pictures and told me about her wonderful experience with Liane, and I quickly decided that using a wedding coordinator would help me tremendously and make my wedding planning less stressful. From day one, Liane was incredibly helpful and each day she strived to make sure that all of my visions came true. She was very flexible and made my wedding unique and exactly the way that I imagined it to be. She was very professional but very fun to work with at the same time. She had wonderful ideas and made my wedding come together perfectly. Showing up at the reception and seeing how perfect everything looked, I was so grateful that I had used Liane as my wedding coordinator. I decided to read the other reviews before posting my own. I would like to make some comments regarding the dissatisfied brides who left distasteful and hurtful reviews about Liane McCombs Wedding and Event Planning. Two things came to my mind when I read these reviews:
1. Some girls are so high maintenance that no matter how much help they receive and how much time is spent babying them and holding their hand, they will always have something to complain about. Have you seen the movie The Help? Well girls, you need to take a look at your review and realize that you need to have an attitude check just like the girls on that movie. Liane McCombs is not unprofessional- you have reacted like immature little girls who need a lesson on how to have class.
2. I understand that your wedding day/rehersal didn't go as planned. I get it. You were upset that people were asking you, the bride, when you would like to cut YOUR cake, and have YOUR money dance. Maybe if you weren't so consumed with perfectionism, the assistants wouldn't have had to ask you the times of such events throughout the evening. Plus, how could anyone be offended by receiving a nice compliment such as "you're really organized"? Someone who isn't satisfied no matter what they get in life. Honestly, when I got married-I'm sure there were things that went differently than I imagined, but I didn't care. And why? Because brides shouldn't be spending the day stressing about what is going wrong-you should be focused on your new husband and all the people that came to support you and your high maintenance life. If it will make you happy and make you stop writing ridiculous and hurtful reviews-I'll send you a check so you and your mom can go and buy that ice sculpture and finally feel redeemed for what you "lost" on your wedding day. I know I don't know you and have been a little harsh but I had to get that off my chest.
Moving on to more important things.
Liane McCombs coordinated my wedding and it was absolutely flawless. I loved everything about my wedding. She was helpful, kind, and listened to everything I had to say. She paid attention to detail and knew exactly how to make my vision of a perfect wedding come true. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect evening, and I know that without Liane's help, my wedding wouldn't have been so amazing. I loved how easy she was to work with and how generous she was to give me her vendor discounts. Not only is she one of the most affordable wedding planners in town-I truly believe she is the best. She even gave me a wedding gift which I thought was so nice and considerate. I would recommend Liane's services to anyone I come in contact with, and know that all of my friends will be using Liane in the future for their weddings. -
