Meghan and Philip's 2025 Bar Harbor Wedding
Lexi and Matt were amazing! We were lucky to meet another couple while touring wedding venues in Bar Harbor who recommended them to us. We are so glad to have received that recommendation!
We booked Lexi and Matt for engagement photos in addition to our wedding photos. We were thrilled with how both came out! We took our engagement photos inside Acadia National Park during the fall. Lexi and Matt were very knowledgeable about the area and where to get the most scenic photos. Neither of us particularly like or are good at getting our photos taken but they made us feel comfortable right away. They were easy to work with during the wedding planning process and provided helpful input in areas other than just photography! We honestly owe them so much for their help organizing the wedding timeline. Both Lexi and Matt were so nice and easy to spend the day with. We also had many people comment during our wedding about how great our photographers were, both members of our bridal party and guests! After our wedding, we were able to find great photos of all 130 of our guests to send out with our thank you notes. They were able to capture so many special memories from our big day!

We had an incredible experience working with Lexi and Matt. From the very beginning, they took the time to truly get to know us, which made a huge difference in how comfortable we felt throughout the entire process.
Our wedding day came with its fair share of challenges—especially the rain—but they handled everything with professionalism and creativity. They were still able to coordinate our first look and capture beautiful photos despite the weather, which honestly exceeded our expectations.
Throughout the day, they were organized, communicative, and incredibly patient, even during the more chaotic moments. We never felt rushed or stressed, which is saying a lot for a wedding day.
What really stood out was their commitment even after the wedding. They made time for a follow-up session a few weeks later to capture additional shots we missed due to the rain and those photos turned out just as amazing.
We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and the final results. Highly recommend Lexi and Matt Photography to anyone looking for photographers who genuinely care and go above and beyond! -

May 2025 Acadia Wedding
Lexi and Matt exceeded every possible expectation that we had! They were incredibly professional but also very friendly, making everything feel easy and comfortable. Even when we panicked about the weather they came up with helpful solutions and brought us down to earth. They were super accommodating and attentive.
They have a great system and experience at every step. They thought of every question and scenario when it came to location, family and anything else you may need for your specific wedding.
Our pictures came out more amazing than we could have imagined and we would recommend them whole heartedly! -

Better than we could have ever imagined!
We had the most wonderful time working with Lexi and Matt for our wedding. Not only were they so fun to work with, they are true professionals in their craft— organized, punctual, communicative, friendly, decisive, and experts in photography and editing. I reached out to Lexi via email about six months before our date and was greeted with the warmth of an old friend, rather than as a customer in a business transaction. We were over the moon to hear they were available and got to planning right away. Lexi and Matt were so helpful in guiding us on package choices based on our wants and needs. As an out-of-state couple, Lexi and Matt were so accommodating with communication— even meeting with us over zoom on a different time zone! Our wedding day went so smooth… no doubt in part due to Lexi and Matt's calm and clear communication, professional demeanor, comraderie with our other vendors, and their down-to-the-minute photography timeline. In addition to the stellar experience we’ve had with Lexi and Matt, we are so happy with the end product. Not only is their photography beautiful, their photos truly capture our day— the feelings and emotions that we and our guests felt. Their guidance was invaluable in making our day so special. We are so grateful to have met them and additionally to have a beautiful recorded memory of our wedding. Thank you Lexi and Matt! -

Matt and Lexi did an incredible job capturing our big day. They were organized, thorough and helped bring our guards down to capture some incredible moments. They thought outside of the box and really used the venue in ways we could have never thought of. The photos speak for themselves! We highly recommend using them. We are so glad that we chose Lexi & Matt to photograph our wedding! Even though they had never filmed an Orthodox wedding, we felt extremely confident in their skill and professionalism after our first meeting over zoom. They answered all of our numerous questions and I knew that we would be in good hands. We got dinner with them a few months before the big day to go over details and timeline, and it felt like getting together with old friends. On the day of, we felt so comfortable with them and everything went so smoothly! They even stayed a little late to get all the shots they knew we would want.
As for the finished product--they NAILED it. I was honestly a little nervous waiting for our photo gallery, thinking that maybe the photos wouldn't line up with my memory of the day. But when we got our photos, each and every one captured the joy, brightness, and love that we remember so clearly in our minds. And, even though they had never photographed an Orthodox wedding ceremony before, they captured all the key moments beautifully. If you are thinking of booking Lexi & Matt--you should absolutely do it! -

We were thrilled to have Lexi and Matt as photographers for our July 2022 wedding. We also did an engagement session with them in August 2021, and loved the photos from it so much that we booked them for our wedding. We really appreciated how well they worked together; they have a way of making people feel at ease. They were great at communicating over Zoom/email and providing advice (ranging from cropping photos to selecting lightbulbs for the venue).
Lexi and Matt helped us figure out the schedule for the day and logistical details about how long things would take (we didn't have a wedding planner). They even kept us on track during the wedding day.
We highly recommend Lexi and Matt. -

Lexi and Matt were absolutely FANTASTIC!! From the very beginning, when my wife and I were meeting up with different photographers to figure out who we wanted to capture our wedding, we knew Lexi and Matt were the perfect fit. Talking with them was like talking with friends. They were there for every question we had throughout our engagement and were wonderfully responsive to emails - particularly since we live hundreds of miles away and could not be near our wedding location in person until the week of our wedding. They listened to what we wanted and saw what we were hoping to capture in our pictures, which led to excellent advise and suggestions on locations within Acadia. Their knowledge of the best locales in Acadia for wedding pictures is on point. More than a few times we felt like they went above and beyond to make our pictures absolutely gorgeous and help make us feel taken care of through the whole engagement and wedding day itself. And their artistry is just stunning. The quality of their work is truly breathtaking. We simply cannot recommend Lexi and Matt enough, and hope our resounding assurance that you will not regret using them leads you to choosing them to trust with capturing your most important moments in life. -

We had a great time working with Lexi and Matt from the first time we met via Zoom. Lexi and Matt are an incredible wife and husband team who answered all our questions leading up to the wedding day. They are highly organized and helped us prepare well for our wedding day. They take into account your vision for what you want from your wedding photos and make sure to tailor their shots and editing to get the best results possible! The day of our wedding they were both very professional, each arriving with multiple cameras and lenses so they could perfectly capture the wedding. They also helped us adjust our dresses and tuxes to make sure we looked our best throughout the day.
I think one of the biggest perks of working with Lexi and Matt is you get a two person team who can capture every moment of your wedding from two different angles so nothing goes missed! Furthermore when we were getting ready we could get pictures of both the groomsmen and bridesmaids getting ready since you have two professional photographers at all times. Our pictures turned out fantastic and we are very happy with the end result and quality of the photos! We highly recommend Lexi and Matt to take advantage of two professional photographers who were a wonderful team to share our wedding day with. -

We got Lexi & Matt to do a photoshoot for our elopement in Acadia National Park in Maine. It was just my husband and I, so they also served as our witnesses - you need two witnesses to get married in Maine so we were very happy to not have to worry about that part. From the very start they were super helpful and responsive, they helped us pick out the best places for the photos and the ceremony. I usually do not feel comfortable in front of the camera but from the very first moments they made me feel like I was born to do it. Lexi & Matt are a great team and they work together so well - having two photographers who work together so effortlessly is a huge bonus. We are so happy with the result and can't stop admiring the photos. -

Above & Beyond
Lexi and Matt photographed our very intimate six-person "COVID" wedding after our bigger wedding plans were derailed. The photos that Lexi and Matt took were stunning, and went beyond all the expectations that we had going in. They captured the mood perfectly and put everyone, most especially us, at ease. Above all, Lexi and Matt went the extra mile for us on short notice and were flexible and understanding throughout the entire process. They worked with us—including our decision to move the wedding by two days at the last minute—every step of the way and made the entire experience seamless. They are such a dynamic duo and are a pleasure to work with. Our wedding would not have been the same without them. They have our highest recommendation. -

Lexi & Matt were the first vendor we hired, and we were so glad we did. They made us feel at ease throughout the entire wedding planning process. From our first impressions of their website to our first phone call with them, we sensed that their down-to-earth professionalism would make them the right photographers for us. They set up a meeting with us months in advance of our date to get to know one another better, discuss our expectations, and create a thoughtful schedule. They helped plan out our timeline in a way that allowed us to fit in all the photos and activities we envisioned. On the day of the wedding, they seamlessly helped keep everything (and everyone!) on schedule, and did it all with the grace of an experienced husband and wife team. She's absolutely incredible to work with and we couldn't have asked for a more talented photography team to capture our day. Our DJ and hair/makeup artist were chosen on Lexi's recommendation--she knows so many vendors in the business in Maine and she''ll be able to help with any questions you might have. We chose to do an engagement session with them and I would highly recommend that as it's an awesome way to get used to being in front of a camera and for Lexi and Matt to get to know you. They are the definition of above and beyond - every step of the way. Lexi was one of the first vendors I secured in my planning process. She was absolutely amazing with helping me lock up the rest of the list. I was struggling to find a DJ and she worked with her network of photographers to help me find someone who was available (on our high-demand August date) with a great reputation. She did just that. Next, she and Matt drove quite a ways to meet us for lunch so we all knew each other prior to the big day. We had a great lunch and left feeling so happy with our choice. We learned then that they are the nicest people and the cutest pair. On the actual day, they arrived on time as planned and got right to work covering the details. Lexi then stayed with the girls, while Matt went across town to cover the guys. We had so much fun with them and they had tons of great ideas. Lexi also carried a photo list to keep us on track and ensure that we got all of the pictures I had wanted (to copy from Pinterest). It can get extremely hectic, especially at the reception, so I appreciated her organization and how she sweetly nudged us to go get a particular photo – I would have completely forgotten them all. We were not the only ones impressed with Lexi and Matt. We couldn’t believe how many compliments we received from our friends and family who constantly told us how impressed they were with them. “Hard working,” “so nice,” “cute couple,” were a few of the repeat phrases. It was unanimous – Lexi and Matt were an excellent choice. We are extremely pleased with the level of service and professionalism and we adore the photos we’ve seen thus far! I absolutely recommend Lexi Lowell Photography and hope to work with them again in the near future! -

Eva Sent on 01/27/2015Lexi was a pleasure to work with! I found her on WeddingWire, and through an online search of Maine wedding photographers. She was very prompt in responding to our inquiry, and we talked with her and Matt on the phone prior to signing our contract. Lexi and Matt answered all our questions and we were confident and excited to work with them.
Our engagement session was in Portland; Lexi and Matt drove down and met us at Portland Head Light for our shoot. We were so happy that we had this opportunity to take some photographs-- it sounds silly to practice smiling, but we eventually relaxed and got some great images too! Lexi and Matt even let us bring our dog for some shots at the end :)
Lexi works with a second photographer for weddings. Since Matt had a previous commitment, she found another local photographer to work with on our wedding day (Kristina O'Brien). It was so helpful to have two photographers, and the photos really capture all sorts of small moments from the day. Lexi's experience is evident; she helped us develop a timeline and consider which aspects of our reception should happen when, while minimizing additional burden on us and keeping our focus on our wedding. I also have to say a particular thank you to Lexi and Kristina for helping with the bustle on my dress... Pay attention when the seamstress shows you how it is supposed to work!
We really enjoyed the photos that Lexi put up on her blog from our wedding. It was fun to share those with guests. We chose a few photos to be printed through Lexi and they are stunning! We received our photos on a thumbdrive within the timeframe that Lexi promised, and couldn't be happier! My husband and I throughly enjoyed looking through all the photos, remembering the day and all the beautiful and funny memories of our wedding. Thank you Lexi!

The engagement session was a great way to get to know the photographers and get used to being photographed. They were great to work with on my wedding day and worked hard to accommodate me and my lack of patience. The pictures came back in about 7 weeks and they are beautiful. Lexi is very responsive and her services are a great value. I highly recommend Lexi Lowell Photography.
