Just Stunning
Our wedding at LGBG was one for the books. Looking back at photos, everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) was beautiful. The rose garden at 6pm is so pretty it looks like a movie. Our friends and family loved the venue too. Lots of parking, great reception spaces, optional outdoor and indoor venues. One of our friends loved it so much that they asked if they could wed there as well! Our wedding at LGBG was one for the books. Lovely Micro Wedding on the Lake!
We had the most perfect micro wedding at the Streb Gazebo right on the lake! The package was so reasonably priced and the setting was perfect. Jaclyn and her team were so easy to work with from our first inquiry to the wedding day. We had the opportunity after the ceremony to take pictures anywhere in the Garden. Would do it again in a heartbeat! We had the most perfect micro wedding at the Streb Gazebo right on the lake! The package was so reasonably priced and the setting was perfect. Beautiful Wedding Venue
I got married at Lewis Ginter in June in a micro wedding (20 guests). It was so easy to work with Jaclyn at Lewis Ginter. The venue was absolutely gorgeous! All of my guests were so impressed! The catering provided by Meriwether Godsey was also delicious! Susan and her team were so responsive to all of our questions and requests. They worked with us to create the perfect menu. The most magical venue!
From the second we got engaged, I knew I wanted our wedding at Lewis Ginter. Unfortunately, COVID hit the week after we were engaged and so the majority of my initial planning was done via email and Zoom. Right from the start, Jaclyn made me feel confident in my decision and in my planning. Once we were finally able to tour in person I knew it would be the perfect venue! Jaclyn and her entire time were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They answered all of my questions quickly and made me feel at ease about moving forward with planning when it seemed like COVID was putting a halt to every other event in our lives. On our wedding day, the garden looked breathtaking and being surrounded by all of the blooms was so beautiful. I never stressed about a single detail, Jaclyn and her team were always one step ahead! I would absolutely recommend an outdoor wedding at the Bloemendaal House and am still reliving our day through pictures! Perfect day despite the weather
Unfortunately rain prevented us from having our micro-wedding in front of the beautiful conservatory as planned but the Lewis Ginter staff helped us make the best of it. Beautiful Fall Wedding
The Gardens are a sentimental spot for us, as we had many of our first dates here. No matter what season your wedding is in, SOMETHING in the Gardens is blooming. They have three great locations within to choose from, that suit multiple sizes, styles, and budgets of weddings. We chose the Tea House/Flagler Garden combo, and I couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out! There were attendants on-site to help guests navigate from the ceremony to reception (walking distance), and coordination between my vendors and the Garden staff seemed flawless. The staff communicated promptly via e-mail and were very accommodating. Note that you MUST use their caterer for the reception dinner - I found this to be a relief, as it meant I didn't have to review and choose my own. And all of my guests complimented the food! Another stipulation is that there can be no sound amplification during the ceremony (since the other 2 wedding spots might be used during that time) - we hired a 3 piece "orchestra" of harp, cello, and violin, and it was absolutely gorgeous. We worked with Lindsay (who has since moved to another position), Jaclyn, and Michele, and they were all super helpful throughout the whole process. The Gardens are a sentimental spot for us, as we had many of our first dates here. Lewis Ginter was the best decision we made
Flawless would be the venue setting word I would use. The setting and garden was stunning. The event team is great although there were about 2-3 coordinators that left during our planning period (about 1 year), but the replacements were always on the ball and quick to learn our contract and wedding details. There is an important division between catering and the wedding venue coordinators. Educate yourself on the difference so you know who to ask the right questions to (any dining tables, chairs, cutlery, napkins through catering but chairs for ceremony are through venue coordinators, including extra chairs for musicians). READ through the contract to make sure you are OK with their guidelines. They are strict, no outside alcohol, and they mean it. My husband and I agreed with their terms and were careful to follow them and we had no issues. The staff was super helpful and answered our questions quickly. The day of went very well and the photos of the venue are stunning. I highly recommend, but make sure you read the contract and are in compliance with their terms.Flawless would be the venue setting word I would use. The setting and garden was stunning. My daughter chose the Lewis Ginter Botantical Garden for her August 2015 wedding. For eight months, we called and emailed with questions and visited the grounds of the Bloemendahl House as we planned this wedding. Donna Reynolds and her staff answered our questions promptly and always "with a smile". It was good to have a venue that had everything you needed...tables, chairs, tents, tablecloths, cake stand, easels, nice bathrooms, etc. On the day of our wedding, the gardens were absolutely beautiful! Sarah Neely of Lewis Ginter and Barbara Geary of Meriwether Godsey worked the wedding. These were two of the nicest ladies and they were constantly on the move to make sure every detail was taken care of and ensured everything ran flawlessly. Everyone we worked with at Lewis Ginter was professional, responsive, and fun to work with. If you are looking for a wedding venue that is stress-free, has great people to work with, and gives your wedding that "WOW" factor...then Lewis Ginter Botantical Garden should be your choice. So, to all the staff of Lewis Ginter Botantical Garden and Meriwether-Godsey Catering, we thank you for all that you did to make our daughter's wedding such a beautiful success!!My daughter chose the Lewis Ginter Botantical Garden for her August 2015 wedding. I got married at Lewis Ginter on May 24, 2015 and it was an absolute pleasure! My venue within Lewis Ginter was the Bloemendaal House. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the gardens were well manicured, bright and sunny. Donna, the Facility Coordinator was the best! By the end of the process I felt like we were good friends. She was so responsive, professional, accommodating and overall very eager to assist.
The service did not stop there. Presilda, my catering manager was such a delight! Again, willing to bend over backwards to make sure my day was exactly what I wanted. The food was also delicious! We had shrimp and grits, fried chicken, pulled pork bbq, mac and cheese and green beans. Everything tasted so yummy and there was a lot of flexibility with the menu. Our wedding was brunch/lunch so the menu was awesome! So many of my guests said that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended and raved about the venue as well as the catering provided through Meriwether Godsey. I would recommend Lewis Ginter (specifically the Bloemendaal House) to any couple that is willing to take a risk with weather, but wants a beautiful outdoor wedding and impeccable service. You honestly will not be disappointed. Make sure you request Donna and Presilda! They are fabulous and made wedding planning so much easier and enjoyable.

We had the most PERFECT wedding ceremony at Lewis Ginter! From the start, we worked with Donna, who was so incredibly helpful in answering ALL of my questions, and never made me feel like any of them were silly. They kept up with me regarding details that were settled closer to the day of, and when it came to the big day, I was introduced to everyone I'd be working with and they all did an amazing job! I LOVED having my wedding at Lewis Ginter (ceremony in rose garden, reception in visitors center). It was an absolutely beautiful location – the ceremony was picturesque and we had more options for great portraits than we knew what to do with. The guests had a great time taking pictures in the front area of the garden and raved about how beautiful the ceremony site and reception location were. By having the reception in the Visitors Center we were able to have separate rooms for dinner and dancing/cake/etc., which worked out beautifully. No one felt cramped and everyone was able to mingle and flow through the rooms. The staff was also wonderfully helpful. We had a small wedding so we had our ceremony in the Flagler Garden and the reception was held in the Robins tea House which accommodates a max of 60ppl. The garden was beautiful so little decorations were needed, we just lined the aisle with mason jars filled with flowers and thats it! Our back up rain plan was already included with the Tea House too, which we liked. Donna Reynolds was very helpful and answered whatever questions I had, if not within a few hours then the next morning. We also loved that there was onsite catering. My advice: The less venders you have to deal with the better and Lewis Ginter was a one stop shop! Mary Harvey was also very helpful with my catering questions and responded in a timely manner. The day of the wedding we arrived at 4 to set up our decorations but the staff hadn't set up the linen and tableware so we had to wait. I just assumed that would be done before we got there, but it wasn't that big a deal. They also said they didn't know about the photo booth (even though it was on the vendor list form) we had coming so it was a good thing we didn't need a table for favors since we put them at each table seat, so that made room for the booth. The guests found the parking and ceremony site with ease with the help of the day of coordinator. The food was amazing, everyone loved everything on the buffet. My biggest gripe is during dinner we told our dj to call each table number up one at a time to avoid a huge line at the buffet, the bridal party went first and by the time we sat down there was a huge line of ppl at the buffet. One of the staff members took it upon themselves to go to each table and tell them to get up and eat. I wasn't going to make everyone sit back down until there table number was called so I just let it go but I really hated seeing everyone jumbled around the buffet table like that. Other than that, I would still highly recommend Lewis Ginter :)We had a small wedding so we had our ceremony in the Flagler Garden and the reception was held in the Robins tea House which accommodates a max of 60ppl. Other than that, I would still highly recommend Lewis Ginter :) -

I was very pleased with the Rose Garden Wedding and Reception we had there. They were very knowledgable and straight forward with their rules and regulations. You definitely will have a beautiful day here rain or shine! It is a lovely venue and run by very professional people. They are also a good value when comparing prices to other venues.

Lewis Ginter was excellent. Barbara and her assistant Mary were very responsive and were wonderful to work with. The grounds were beautiful and everything was set up exactly as discussed. The food and service were excellent. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend Lewis Ginter! May Rainy Day Wedding
Our wedding ceremony in the Rose Garden and reception at the Bloemendaal House were absolutely breathtaking. Lyn, one of the facility event coordinators, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. Cassondra with catering was also excellent, accommodating all of our catering requests with ease.
Despite the rain on our wedding day, the venue staff were understanding and did not pressure us to use our rain plan, which we greatly appreciated. The service during the reception was outstanding, and all the staff were exceptionally nice and attentive.
While the venue is a bit pricey for larger weddings, they do offer more affordable options that could fit different budgets. One thing to note is that the venue has a list of prohibited items to preserve the integrity of the gardens, which means some traditional elements, like a grand exit, might be limited. We had confetti poppers approved of beforehand, but they ended up making a mess. Unfortunately, we received a less than tactful email from the director of facility events (whom we had never spoken to before) about this, which was a bit disappointing since it was never our intention to cause any issues.
Despite this minor hiccup, we highly recommend the venue. Beautiful venue, professional staff, catering expensive
Lewis Ginter was a gorgeous location for our wedding. All staff involved were very professional and helped make the day as seamless as possible. They made us confident that no matter the situation, there was a plan in place to make the day beautiful. Only drawback: you're required to use the in-house caterer, which was much pricier than we originally thought - so make sure the catering fits your budget before signing anything...Lewis Ginter was a gorgeous location for our wedding. You are required to use their caterer (including alcoholic beverages) which has pros and cons. In my opinion, the food was simply average; however, our guests enjoyed it. This venue is a little pricey depending on the day and month, but it needed little to no decorations, and my photos look amazing! I would definitely recommended Lewis Ginter! You are required to use their caterer (including alcoholic beverages) which has pros and cons.
