  Laura did gorgeous work for our wedding invitation suite and day-of materials. She is extremely talented and everything was perfect. Working with Alyssa through planning and re-planning due to COVID was so easy, and she never made me feel rushed or stressed despite shifting timelines. Both Alyssa and Laura are so helpful and creative as well, suggesting paper colors and texture combinations to make the suite truly unforgettable. They were extremely accommodating with sending samples, and photos, and being responsive to get the final product just right. I can not speak highly enough about this team - If you entrust your vision to Laura and Alyssa, they will far exceed your expectations!

  perfect calligraphy

  I am a hand-letterer myself, so it goes without saying that I am a major handwriting/calligraphy snob. I searched for months to find the perfect calligrapher to address the envelopes for my invitations, and as soon as I found Laura I knew she was the one. Not only was the calligraphy absolutely flawless, but Laura even customized the ink color to match my invitations. Alyssa was such a joy to work with, always so quick to respond, and super patient as we went through 5 rounds of adding more envelopes to be addressed. Our invitations truly ended up being a work of art. If you are wondering whether it is worth the investment, it is 100%. You will not regret choosing Laura for your wedding calligraphy needs!

  It goes without saying that Laura Hooper Calligraphy is unparalleled in service and product. Laura did my wedding envelopes and a gorgeous custom map that my fiance and I are using as a guest book. Her attention to detail is fabulous and Alyssa in particular was a pleasure to work with. I look forward to using her services for years to come!

  I used Laura Hooper for my wedding invitation envelopes and for my escort cards. Everything came back perfect and on time. They are very responsive and easy to work with. I also think that Laura Hooper is one of the few calligraphers out there who has modern styles available, which is exactly what I wanted.

We would highly recommend them for any invitations or occasions you may have. I ordered my invitations and envelopes a few weeks later than I should have, but Laura Hooper Calligraphy went above and beyond with helping me with my every request and answered all my questions very promptly. They were so accommodating. The invitations and envelopes turned out so beautiful, everything we could have imagined.   Laura did the most fabulous job on my wedding and boy was I difficult client :) I had photographed over 250 wedding g by the time my wedding day arrived, so I was incredibly opinionated on what I wanted and Laura made my dreams come true! She did calligraphy on half a gazillion black and white beach balls that were used as an interactive escort card display!!! So cool!

  Laura provided the calligraphy for my wedding invitations, escort cards, and place cards. Her work was truly beautiful and I received so many compliments from my guests! Alyssa, her director of operations, was so responsive to my emails and quickly took care of a spelling mistake that had been made. I would love to use Laura's services for a non-wedding event in my future!

  Laura was a pleasure to work with and is so talented! She created menus for our station display as well as a long scroll menu listing all of the offerings. It was like out of a photo shoot! She is the best!

  Laura did a great job on the calligraphy for our wedding envelopes. The work was beautiful, fast, and Alyssa, the director of operations, was so responsive and easy to work with. If it ended there I would still be a very satisfied customer. But it didn’t end there and Laura and her team showed just how much they care about their customers and their business by going above and beyond to help us out of a jam that was in no way their fault. Because of the long time it took our printer to print the envelopes, we had him send them directly to Laura for calligraphy so we could get them out to our guests within the appropriate window. When we received them back from Laura on a Friday evening, we discovered the printer sent her the wrong size envelopes and the invitations didn’t fit. In hindsight, we should have asked Laura to check the size but we didn’t think of it because it was confirmed multiple times with the printer, so again, it was no fault of hers. Even though it was not their mistake, they worked with me over weekend to try and figure out a solution. This is more than I can say for the printer. He would not return emails or calls until Monday afternoon and even then had no solutions to offer other than blaming us for not catching his mistake. Laura agreed to do a rush order when she received the new envelopes and was able to turn it around in just 2 days despite having a very busy schedule and leaving for vacation the following week. Because of her team’s efforts we were able to get our invitations out on time and looking fabulous. Thank you again for showing us that good quality and great customer service still exist out there.

  Laura made our escort cards and favors for us and to this day, people can't stop talking about them. We had her hand write everyone's name and table number on adorable vintage compasses to go along with our vintage travel theme and they were a HUGE hit! All over Instagram, people have been posting pictures of them on display in their houses. Not to mention, Laura was (by far) the most professional and delightful Etsy owner I have ever dealt with (and that's saying a lot since most people on Etsy are amazing and I'm a frequent customer!). She blew us away with her quick correspondence and talent. I truly cannot thank her enough for how seamless she has made this for us. I will find a reason to order something from her again in the future! Thank you so much again! Beautiful, beautiful job!!!!!

She would respond to our questions, concerns or feedback almost immediately. I'd absolutely recommend Laura Hooper Calligraphy to anyone looking for personal, yet high quality stationary.

  I found Laura Hooper through the Esty website, what a blessing! She is amazing. It was easy to email back and forth with her. She is very professional and has the patience of a saint! I had a tragedy before my wedding and wasn't sure if I had to cancel the big day. All my wedding programs, table numbers, welcome bag tags, menus and compasses were on hold till the last minute. She was able to adjust last minute changes very quickly before the items were sent to the printer and expedited my items in order to receive them right before the big day.   We decided to use Laura Hooper for our save the dates after seeing some samples online. I emailed her to see if she would be able to do our save the dates and in not time at all I had a response! Laura has been a pleasure to work with, she is responsive, very professional, and most of all, makes you feel like her only client. I cannot say enough, how happy we are with our save the dates.   I decided to contact laura after I had seen one of her maps on a wedding website in a welcome bag. I emailed her to ask if she would do save the dates. She emailed me back within 10 minutes to let me know price and other specifics. From the moment I contacted Laura, she was extremely professional, easy to work with and most importantly, responsive to every question.

  Laura Hooper was great to work with and was able to create a fun map depicting all of our wedding venues for our out-of-town guests. I never thought it would be so easy to work with someone who is 2,200 miles away, but Laura and her staff made the whole process worry-free! They worked with me via email and phone to make sure that the map they created fit in with my fiance's and my personalities. The map turned out awesome, and I hope that all brides will allow Laura Hooper to incorporate that personal touch into their big days!

  Laura did all of the pieces for our wedding from the save the dates to the place cards (including rehearsal dinner and bridal luncheon invitations and totes and shirts for the wedding party) and everything exceeded our expectations!! Laura was a pleasure to work with -- she is prompt, professional and extremely creative. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone!!!

  If you're looking for something totally unique and over the top, check Laura's work out! We are getting married aboard a barge along the Burgundy canal in France and Laura created a map of our romantic travels perfectly, plus it had a flair that captured the happy time it will be. She carried this same French wedding theme into the Bon Voyage party menus. Very creative! She's seen alot of great ideas from other weddings she's done which helps when talking thru ideas. Completely trusted her work and it was easy working with her via email. A perfectionist! Thank You, Laura.

  Laura created a bi-fold insert for our welcome bags that included a welcome note, a Key West map, a list of things to do and a calendar of weekend events. It was whimsically artistic without being over the top. We were so happy with how it turned out that we ordered a larger version, which is now framed in our condo.

  We had compasses made as both place cards and favors (for "finding their way to be with us") at our Turks and Caicos destination wedding for 60 guests. Laura was incredibly great to work with, and the end product was awesome!! I wish i would have worked with her more for other things we did for the wedding!
