Lasting Impressions is the best!

Hiring Sarah Trotter and Lasting Impressions was the best decision we made for our daughter’s wedding. Sarah was an absolute dream to work with and we couldn’t have done it without her. Her communication, professionalism and kindness allowed us to enjoy the wedding planning process without stress. Sarah listened to my daughter’s vision and created her dream wedding! On the big day, everything flowed seamlessly. We were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment, knowing Sarah and her team had everything under control. Flawless!!

I don't even know where to begin on how amazing of an experience it was to work with Sarah! While I have known her for years and trusted her completely, nothing prepares you for the joy of a truly flawless wedding day! When my dad asked what was more important, the date I wanted or if Sarah could be there, it was an obvious answer. I will not have my wedding day without Sarah as my coordinator. From beginning to end, her expertise, poise, communication, and confidence on a wedding day is unmatched. She brings a sense of calm and you know you are TRULY in good hands. If there is any vendor that you absolutely need to book, it is a coordinator, and there is no one better than Sarah.

Top Tier Planner

Working with Sarah to plan our wedding was the best decision and investment we made. There is a reason Sarah is the best in the business. From the outset, Sarah’s calm demeanor put me at ease during the planning process. As a type-A person, I was anxious to check things off the list, but Sarah balanced my need for progress while reassuring me that we had ample time and could follow the meticulous timeline and checklist she had created.
Planning a wedding out of state was daunting, but Sarah's exceptional communication skills made everything seamless. She was extremely responsive and took the lead in coordinating with our vendors. We managed to meet face-to-face multiple times when we were in the cities, which helped build our trust and rapport with her.
One of the standout benefits of working with Sarah was her vast network within the wedding industry. Her vendor recommendations were spot on, allowing us to assemble an A-team for our big day. The praise and excitement we received from other vendors when they learned we were working with Sarah confirmed that we had made the right choice.
Sarah's professionalism shone throughout the planning process, keeping us on track and answering our many questions with patience and clarity. On the wedding day itself, although Sarah could not be on-site, her lead planner, Gabby, took over and was an absolute superstar. Gabby guided our wedding party and families with ease and a smile, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
In summary, Sarah's quality of service, coupled with her professionalism and outstanding communication, made our wedding planning experience not only stress-free but also enjoyable. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a wedding planner. She was a joy to work with and almost makes me want to plan another wedding!

Best Wedding Planner Out There!

Working with Sarah and her team was such a joy. As a surgical resident living in another state, Sarah made planning a wedding a breeze. Every meeting with her was so fun and full of light and joy. She was able to take my ideas and know exactly what vendors to get on board, and how to plan, organize and execute the plan to a T. I had such a stress free wedding day all thanks to Sarah and her team at Lasting Impressions. I could not have done it without them!!

Lasting Impressions is THE BEST!

Sarah is absolutely THE BEST when it comes to anything and everything wedding planning in MN!
I could not have imagined planning our wedding without her! She came up with a new and creative ideas for our venue space that turned out to be some of my favorite things/pieces about our day, and without her none of it would have been possible! She was incredible with getting us connected to the best vendors in town and keeping us organized the entire way. I truly felt like she was invested in our day from the very beginning, and took a real interest in making our vision come to life. I cannot recommend Sarah and all of her staff enough- look no further than Lasting Impressions and you will not be disappointed!

Sarah was the absolute best! She was so on top of things, and flexible! It ended up rainy on my wedding day during the ceremony but Sarah was on top of it making sure I had my aisle to walk down and that everything was perfect! You wouldn’t even know it was back up plan! September 17th Celebration

Sarah was terrific to work with throughout our whole experience. She was responsive, encouraging, created a sense of calm and we knew we could count on her to do anything for us. She also gave advice on how to best spend our money and all of the people she recommended to us for various needs were fabulous as well. Hiring Sarah Trotter (Lasting Impressions) was the best decision I made! We hired Sarah to be our day of coordinator, however she was so much more than that. She guided me on vendors, timeframes and the small details we often forget. An unforgettable, amazing experience with Lasting Impressions!

Sarah Trotter is the perfect combination of efficiency, kindness and logistical excellence. She tackled my big fat Indian wedding with so much grace. She was so thoughtful about helping us highlight the important culture elements (for example, figuring out a venue that would help us do a Baraat, negotiating with food vendors and making sure fire could be lit inside for the ceremony) while also making sure the overall aesthetic was unique and ours! I cannot overemphasize how much she made me the bride feel at ease throughout the day with all the moving parts. She worked seamlessly with all the vendors (because she is truly the best in the business). She made sure we enjoyed and saw all the hard work we put into the wedding as well! We love Sarah so much and hope future couples (especially couples who are doing a different type of wedding!) will consider Lasting Impressions for their special day!

Sarah and the team at Lasting Impressions are incredible. As the most important vendor decision you’ll make, hiring Lasting Impressions was a no brainer. Sarah and her team made our wedding weekend flawless and stress free. From the moment Morgan and I met with Sarah, she immediately understood the vision I wanted to create for Morgan and Seans special day. Sarah’s organization, attention to details, knowledge of local vendors, and fun personality made the planning process seamless and fun. This wedding was also postponed for an entire year due to the pandemic but Sarah made it all work and never missed a beat. I can not say enough about lasting Impressions and Sarah Trotter. 10/10 with Sarah & Lasting Impressions

Sarah Trotter is the absolute best. Not only is she extremely fun and happy to work with, she is extremely talented at what she does! We used Sarah & team for their full-service option and could not be happier we did. She was with us every step of the way -- flower meetings, food tasting, venue check-ins, etc. In addition to constantly emailing us and vendors, checking in to make sure we're feeling okay, giving ideas/brainstorming all the way up to the day of. Day of was a MUST have Sarah. She did EVERYTHING. My flowers came out a little different than expected and it was fixed within minutes. She handled everything and the day went absolutely perfect (in our minds, which is exactly what you want!) I even forgot to put guest food preferences on the cards -- Sarah took care of it. I bought a sign with our last name on it last minute -- Sarah helped paint it.

Sarah & team are absolutely unbelievable and I would recommend to any bride & groom that want to have the most seamless planning and wedding day!

The most amazing planner!!

I don't even know where to begin with Sarah and her team. I can not say enough good things about working with her. I am a very organized person, but didn't know the first thing about wedding planning. This year my husband and I got a puppy, built a house, both started a new jobs, and got engaged. That said, I knew I was desperate for help to plan a wedding as I didn't even know where to begin. I looked forward to absolutely every meeting with Sarah and each time I got to see her or even hear from her via email or phone. She made the stress of wedding planning fun and exciting, and helped my indecisive self make decisions to create our dream wedding day. My husband would like to thank Sarah for "keeping me sane". The whole process went very smooth and that's just the start. The WEDDING DAY! I couldn't believe it. I've been to weddings where the bride is stressed, families do set up and take down, etc. I did not think about anything other than the fact that I got to marry my best friend on the day of our wedding. Sarah and her team took care of absolutely EVERYTHING. If anything went wrong or out of order, I never heard about it or even noticed it. I cannot say enough good things about Lasting Impressions Weddings and I truly miss wedding planning and Sarah's name popping up on my phone each week - if you are thinking about a planner. The greatest

Sarah was a dream to work with. I had no idea where to start or how to go about the wedding planning process, but she helped us with every step of the way and kept us on track. Rainy Wedding Success!

Words escape me when I try to describe how grateful I was to have Lasting Impressions at my wedding. I wanted things a bit unconventional, and their team was outstanding in making it come to life and running it flawlessly. Our day was rainy but they really helped everything run smoothly. There were a lot of logistics to manage and my mom said "I'm really glad you hired them." Several close friends worked with Sarah Trotter for their weddings. All said the same thing - best vendor ever. It's true -- Sarah Trotter and her team are amazing! Sarah was our day-of coordinator which took a lot of stress out of our big day. She picked up our cake for us which saved us a lot of hassle. A day before the wedding she came to our house and picked up all of our decor items and had everything set up for us. We loved allowing our close friends and family to enjoy more of the day without being worker bees. She was an excellent resource for vendor recommendations, vendor tipping etiquette, and any questions related to weddings. She even told us we could contact her on vacation (we didn't - but that's how dedicated she is). We loved working with Sarah. I can't imagine planning a wedding for the first time without her. We cannot recommend Lasting Impressions enough.

Sarah and Dawn of Lasting Impressions were absolutely wonderful to work with. It was clear they knew what they were doing from asking the all right questions during pre-wedding planning to their efficiency on the wedding day itself. We had an Indian Wedding and they were able to cater to our specific needs and follow instructions that allowed for all of our important traditions. They day couldn’t have gone more smoothly and it wouldn’t have been possible without them. Other than my groom, hiring Sarah was the best wedding-related decision that I made. I didn't immediately start working with Lasting Impressions during the planning process. It wasn't until seven or so months before my wedding that I reached out to Sarah. And thank goodness I did. The planning process went SO much smoother with her involved - it was like night and day. Sarah was so responsive, helpful and friendly. I started to enjoy planning and always looked forward to our conversations. Nicole handled our day of and she was also stellar. Right after my friends and family, the first person I called post engagement was Sarah Trotter- and it was the best decision (aside saying “yes to my husband”) that I made throughout wedding planning. Sarah had planned my best friend’s amazing wedding a few years back, so I knew I had to have her when it was my turn too. She was able to help me bring my vision to life, and just “gets” it even when I can’t fully explain what I mean when talking about an idea that I have. Her years of experience and amazing relationships with all of the vendors we worked with was evident and made the process even more enjoyable. She is also so organized and made it easy for me to keep track of everything I needed to do throughout the entire process. On my wedding day, I was cool as a cucumber because I knew she would take care of everything- and she did not disappoint. I will miss emailing with her and meeting with her and would highly recommend her to anyone starting the wedding planning process! She truly is the best.

I found Lasting Impressions just by doing a Google search and I sent an email through the website. Sarah responded right away! We knew we HAD to have a planner because we lived out of state and I didn't know where to begin.

Hiring Sarah/Lasting Impressions was the best decision we made. We hired them for "day of" service. She was very responsive to each of my questions leading up to the wedding. Lasting Impressions for the win. They are wedding wizards. I chose the day-of package which included a perfect amount of support leading up to my wedding that helped keep me organized and sane. They are quick to respond, full of ideas and completely on your side. With just the day-of package, they provided several suggestions and tips that ended up being really valuable to me. Our day-of coordinator, Erika, was a sweetheart and ninja all in one. Erika took care of our every need (and I'm sure plenty of things I have no idea about!) There was another coordinator behind the scenes setting up the reception site and she was clearly amazing, too. They perfectly translated my vision, complicated seating chart, and many vendors into a beautiful scene...and at a brand new venue no less. I was a carefree in-the-moment bride - amazing. Find a way to fit them into your budget.

Sarah is amazing! We planned our wedding long distance and hired her for Design + Day Of services. I don't know what we would have done without her. She answered countless emails over 10+ months, gave us great advice, helped us pull off the perfect look and feel for our intercultural wedding, and made sure everything ran smoothly on our big day -- down to procuring a backup officiant when ours was stuck in traffic! One thing I particularly noticed during the planning process was how much our other vendors liked and respected her. As soon as they heard we were working with Sarah, they said, "Oh, then you are in great hands!" And we were. She is extremely organized, competent, kind, and has a great sense of humor -- all qualities that matter when you are working with someone who is helping you plan the most important day of your life! The only regret I have is not booking her full wedding package - she is that awesome! If you're planning a Minneapolis wedding, lock down your date with Sarah as soon as possible! It will be one of the best wedding decisions you make!

Sarah and her team did an absolutely WONDERFUL job planning and coordinating our wedding. Everything went off without a hitch! She had every single detail covered, from having everything for the room flip, to dropping off our wedding gifts at our house after the reception. It truly allowed us to have a magical day, because we knew that Sarah and her team (we worked with Kate on the day of, who was AMAZING!) would have everything under control. I was pretty hands on with the planning and coordinating, and Sarah helped me stay organized and on budget!

Sarah Trotter is hands down, without question, THEE BEST investment we made in our wedding. We had a vision of what we wanted and from day one, Sarah understood that vision and executed it beautifully. Our wedding was incredibly challenging for a planner, with a tent that needed to be scaled over 30 feet off the ground at our parents' home, bringing in vendors off site from Minneapolis to La Crosse, and arranging transportation/shuttles for 300 guests to and from the ceremony and reception sites. Sarah orchestrated everything so well that there was truly not a hiccup in our day (and if there was, she would have made sure we didn't know about it!!). Throughout the planning process, Sarah took on many tasks on her own and brought her work home to complete lots of little projects for our wedding - I loved getting picture messages of her sons helping out spray painting our monogram, framing our mirrored seating chart, etc. Our wedding turned out to be a real life fairy tale. The tent looked like something out of a magazine, it was above and beyond what we ever could have expected and that is all owed to Sarah and the fabulous team that she put together for us. My husband and I were truly able to sit back and enjoy our wedding day without a worry - I was so calm and relaxed the whole day because Sarah took such great care of us and I knew the day would run smoothly. Sarah became a friend to me this past year and although I am thrilled to finally be married to my husband, I am so sad that the wedding is over because I don't get to talk with her every day! She made the experience of being a bride exciting, fun, stress-free and truly the most special time in my life. Thank you Sarah for making our dreams come true!! Much like everyone else, we thought that hiring Sarah to work with us was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. We had our wedding at Nicollet Island Pavillion but live in Boston, so having a planner to help given that we weren't local, was a definite must. Of all the planners we met with, Sarah was not only the most experienced and confident in her product, but she also had the best taste and style.

We did the Month-of-planning + Decoration services package and couldn't have been happier. She helped us figure out what we should rent vs buy to make the space look exactly the way we wanted. And more importantly, she helped us figure out what we wanted before we even figured it out ourselves. It was like she was a mind reader - she was able to take my pinterest board and my suggestions and turn it into a beautiful and tasteful look the day of the wedding.

I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for the best services from a professional and highly responsive wedding planner!

Sarah and her team were absolutely amazing! She was so responsive and focused on making our wedding day perfect. Sarah was super easy to talk to and bounce around ideas with, and she was very detail-oriented. Her services actually made her seem like a close friend helping with our wedding day, rather than a vendor we had hired. She did everything possible to ensure even the smallest details were covered. Our wedding day had a minor hiccup (thanks to a few inconsiderate guests) that Sarah handled like a champ and made sure there was no hassle for my husband and me! She was even able to help us keep our cool with her witty humor. Sarah Trotter at Lasting impression is great! We changed our mind on what type of chair covers and the number of them, a few times, and she was super flexible. She by far had the best price on the chair covers we wanted. She came to the venue and set them up for us. they looked absolutely fantastic and really dressed the room up! We chose to return them ourselves so we wouldn't have to pay a take down/disassemble return fee. The return was super easy and convenient! (Note the charge for them to take them down and pick them up was not unreasonable, we were just on a really tight budget) :-)

WOW...where do I begin. Words cant even express how thankful I am that we hired Sarah from Lasting Impressions Weddings to help plan and coordinate our whole wedding from start to finish. From day 1 she was so great. We immediately clicked. She is not only SO talented and passionate at what she does but she is also so fun and it was great to get to know her and i already miss talking to her on a weekly basis (and its only been a week). She helped guide us through the whole planning process and kept us on track with the timeline and budget, even during those times when i wanted to go over our budget. She exceeded all expectations we had for our wedding. My mom and I would have been lost with out her. She was able to take our ideas and run with them and point us in the right direction with the best vendors to use. The entire planning process was stress free and very enjoyable. On the day of the wedding we were able to enjoy the whole day and not worry about a SINGLE thing. She had everything under control and everything was FLAWLESS. When my husband and I walked into our reception we were blown away and all of our expectations were exceeded. I was in tears with how everything turned out. She turned all of our wedding dreams into a reality and we could not be more grateful to have had her by our side tthrough the entire procces and what she did for us. Sarah Trotter is everything you want in a wedding planner. I had a specific vision for my wedding and Sarah made it become a reality. Her energy and personality made the tedious wedding planning process truly enjoyable. She is detail oriented and a careful listener. She is incredibly responsive to any question or need you have, even if I have asked the question two or three times. :) Sarah is very “in the know” when it comes to all aspects of a wedding and she accurately provides you with what works and what doesn’t. As someone who plans and executes events for a living, I am admittedly a tough cookie to please. And I can honestly say that Sarah and Lasting Impressions exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for full service, no questions asked, there to help with anything and everything kind of wedding planner, Sarah is your girl. And she'll do it all with a smile on her face. As the first in our families to get married, my fiance and I knew we needed help (plus, he needed someone to help keep me calm :)). I loved that Sarah did it all for one flat rate - because I knew I would need some hand holding along the way! "Saint Sarah" as my dad nicknamed her, was there to answer any and every question. As a self-proclaimed control freak, it really is nothing short of a miracle (and a HUGE testament to Sarah), that I was fully able to sit back, relax and enjoy my big day without worrying for ONE MINUTE that everything was taken care of in her hands. I'm not kidding you - not one minute did I stress, that's how amazing she is. And when I walked into my reception and cried because it was everything I ever dreamed of and more...I just felt so lucky to have her by my side to make my wedding dreams a reality. I hired Sarah to be our day-of coordinator and I'm so glad I did. I don't know how people pull off weddings without her help. She saved me, and my parents, so much stress the day of our wedding and we were all able to enjoy it worry-free. Even though she was just our day-of coordinator, I asked her many questions via email leading up to the day. She was very responsive and I loved that if she couldn't get back to me right away she would let me know when she could.

She did everything that I didn't want to do the day before and the day of our wedding. She organized and led the rehearsal (indoor AND outdoor scenarios), she picked up and brought food to us, made sure everything was taken care of with our vendors, set up a perfect timeline that everyone followed, kept everyone calm, brought all of our gifts/cards back to our hotel room so they were there when we got back, and stayed until the very end of the night to clean everything up.

I hear from a lot of parents of brides that they wish they would've gotten a day-of planner to help, as they end up taking on a lot of those jobs. For my parents sake and for mine, I am so glad we hired Sarah at Lasting Impressions. She was worth every penny and more!

I live in Los Angeles and was planning my wedding in Minneapolis, so I had no choice but to put all my trust in Sarah. Beyond a doubt, that was the best decision I have ever made.

Before meeting with Sarah, I was nervous and extremely overwhelmed with the whole wedding planning process- picking linens, chair covers, table top décor, finding the perfect band, dealing with countless vendors etc etc. The list seemed to never end!! After meeting with Sarah, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders.

Every detail- from distributing welcome bags to different hotels, to what perfect color the table cloths should be, to making sure I had champagne and lunch while my girls and I got ready, to bringing our dog back to the hotel after the ceremony- she did everything! And she did it with such grace, if there ever was a problem on the day- I certainly never knew it.

Truly, I feel like I could write a novel about how thankful I am for Sarah- so I'll just say this:
Weddings are a huge event. The biggest of your life. There are so many aggravating details and deadlines that many brides are just glad when the planning and the stress of the day is over.

Well, thank you Sarah, because ALL my memories are of how absolutely lush and gorgeous everything was, how happy and relaxed I felt, how handsome my husband looked, and how I never wanted it to end.

Hiring Sarah was the smartest wedding related decision I could have made! We worked together thoughout the entire year leading up to the big day. Sarah lets you be as involved or as hands-off as you like in all the decisions. She understood my vision for the event and I trusted her to make choices based on our style that I knew we would love.

Although hiring a planner can be expensive, I think you end up saving money in the long run. Based on your budget Sarah will only show you vendors that you can afford. This makes the decision process much less stressful (and way more fun) because you can focus on picking what you want vs. worrying: how much is this going to cost?, is this vendor showing me options that are out of my price range?, are these fees normal? etc. Such a stress relief.

When it came to the rehearsal and day of, I was able to focus on ME! Not on transportation, guests, vendor deliveries, setting up decorations, hair/makeup appointments, timelines, etc. Sarah took care of all of that so I could truly enjoy my wedding day. I heard many compliments from guests saying how well the event was run and how everything went off seamlessly. They were giving me the credit, but in reality it was all Sarah!

Lasting Impressions Weddings exceeded EVERY and ANY expectation I had as a bride. Sarah Trotter was amazing from the very start and made every piece easy and seamless. The knowledge that she has, ideas on how to do things, and ways to make your wedding amazing (and personal to YOUR taste and style) is just awesome. On the weekend of our wedding (especially the day of) it was SOO nice to just let Sarah and her team handle everything... and they did!! They tackled things I would've forgotten, they were there when things came up unexpectedly from family (that could have been really frustrating to a bride) and they told everyone where to be and when. The day/night simply was flawless because of Sarah and I can't think her enough! Sarah worked with my husband and I, planning our August 23, 2013 wedding in about 8 months. She kept us on track on our timeline, helped us choose vendors, came to vendor meetings with us, and in general, helped coordinate the million big and small things going on. We knew that Sarah would be on vacation for our wedding day, but her team (Andrea and Kate) did an amazing job with day of coordination. It's a testament to Sarah's business that she was able to be away and have her team flawlessly run a wedding. My husband and I felt completely relaxed, happy, and full of love all day. Sarah was the rock that held our wedding day together! She is like superwoman, she can be everywhere and do everything. We hired her for our day of planner to take away the stress from myself, my sister and mother and that is exactly what happened. Sarah took care of every detail from dealing with the vendors the day before/of the wedding, to making sure the timing was perfect, to getting all the decor to the reception. Sarah even packed up all of our gifts & cards and dropped them off directly to our hotel room during the night. I did not have one moment of panic or one mishap because Sarah intercepted any hiccups, for that I am forever grateful. She is SO outgoing, kind, fun and caring. At one point we needed a picture frame and she was just like yup I got it, no problem! Her organization skills and attentiveness is beyond compare. Sarah from Lasting Impressions did a wonderful job helping us plan our wedding. The event we put together didn't include a lot of the elements I thought I wanted, but it ended up being much more "us" and put together than I could have envisioned on my own. Sarah seemed to respond to emails at all hours and was very knowledgeable about local vendors. She gave helpful general planning advice along the way. I felt so comfortable on the day of the wedding because I knew that no matter what happened or what might have gone terribly wrong, Sarah would take initiative and take care of it in a flash without my even noticing. Two weeks later, I am hearing for the first time about several little emergencies that she resolved swiftly while I enjoyed the party unawares! Sarah has vendors with whom she works that are the tops in the field in creativity and reliability. Most especially, Sarah was indispensable on the day of the wedding. She worked very hard to make sure things ran smoothly so the bride and parents could enjoy the day. She anticipated what we needed and got it done even before we knew we needed it. She was fantastic.

Sarah was amazing, so happy that we went with her. Our number one priority was to make sure we and our family could completely enjoy the wedding weekend -- so dealing with set-up, take-down, vendor arrangements, etc was out of the question. Sarah made our day go so smoothly (she is calm and works extremely hard), I don't know what we would've done without her. Also, local vendors all love working with her, so our level of service from the reception site, dessert caterer, and florist were superior to what they would've been w/o her involvement. She was also a tremendous resource every step of the way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that anyone with Sarah/Lasting Impressions.

Sarah was extremely well organized and enthusiastic- she made me feel like I was the only bride she was working for, even though she likely had hundreds! She was in constant communication and kept every last detail in mind. Working with her eliminated a ton of stress and provided me with extra time that I wouldn't have had by planning the wedding myself. Sarah Trotter exceded my expectations of what a Wedding Planner would be. She has impecable taste and uses this to guide your own vision into something truly special. She was with me every step of the way, to really make me and the occasion feel special. Whenever I had questions, she was quick to respond with the right answer. I truly trusted her. There even came a point after she kept giving me options for suggested vendors, when I just said, who would you pick? I started to go with her first choices and everyone ended up excedeing my husband and I's expectations. Sarah really knows what she is doing!!!

The day of the wedding, I was totally relaxed. I knew that Sarah was on top of everything and that my husband and I, and our guests would have a great time. Sarah really went above and beyond. Right before dinner, my bridemaids and I were outside under a tent, when a torential downpour started. There was a gap between the door and the tent, so if we were to go inside, we would have gotten soaked....so there was Trotter, with a giant umbrella, getting soaked, to get us ladies inside nice and dry!!! What a great moment. SARAH IS THE BEST! This was the smartest investment my husband and I made for the wedding. My husband also created this funny saying when I would get frustrated or worried about things for the wedding: "well, if it doesn't look good, blame it on Trotter!" Well, we had nothing to blame, our day was absolutely perfect. Having Sarah help us with the wedding was true piece of mind that everything would go as we hoped and dreamed, and it did!

I have already decided that if my siblings don't choose to have a planner themselves, I will get them Sarah as their gift! Sarah and the Lasting Impression team were phenomenal throughout the process. Despite being one of the busiest people I know, Sarah always made me feel like I was one of her most important clients. She was quick to respond to questions and patient when I changed my mind a hundred times. She was a valuable resource for choosing vendors (who were also fantastic!), creating an overall design concept for our wedding, and advising on etiquette. We hired Lasting Impressions for their day-of package. Our wedding took place at a private property and they'd never had a wedding or event of that size there. With so many variables, I knew having someone to help with unexpected issues, manage vendors and assist guests would be crucial. Needless to say – our day went off without a hitch (that I knew about at least!). My groom and I and our wedding party was able to relax knowing that everything was being taken care of. Heather and Tiffany were very helpful in assisting with set-up, directing our many vendors, managing our timeline for the day, assisting guests with questions and overall – making sure that we didn’t have to worry about any of it! Sarah and her team were also very helpful throughout the planning process with recommending vendors & answering questions. I would recommend Lasting Impressions to anyone planning their wedding in MN!

Sarah Trotter is amazing. I utilized her service for "day of" planning but would recommend her for full service wedding planning. Sarah is hands down the best wedding vendor you will ever work with. She is the most responsive person I have ever met, and for a Type A bride who is extremely organized, I could not have done it without her. Her team is personable, flexible, and very professional. My fiance was anxious about spending our wedding budget on a wedding planner, but after our wedding, he agreed they were completely worth it. Sarah at Lasting Impressions is an invaluable addition to our wedding. You have no idea how much work goes into a wedding until you have one and it is overwhelming to say the least. I don't think I would have been able to have as good of a time as I did on our wedding day if it wasn't for her. I got to enjoy the guests and the day all because she was putting together all the details behind the scenes. She is definitely worth the money. We worked with Sarah with Lasting Impressions weddings for about 9 months up to our wedding. I can't express enough how great she was and how stress free she made everything. My wife and I would not have been able to do it with out her.

Sarah is the easiest person to work with and really keeps you on budget. Even if your bride is always trying to go over budget.

She is always available and always willing to go the extra step to make sure your wedding day is exactly how you want it.

We rented chair covers for our reception from them. We were deciding between black or white chair covers and in order to better assist, since we lived out of state, they sent us many pictures of actual receptions. They even gave us decorating tips based on our choice. The chair covers made the reception look so much more elegant. (We went with black, by the way) Georgeous!

This was by far the best investment I made for our wedding! We hired Lasting Impressions as our day-of wedding planner and they were amazing! They took care of everything from confirming vendors the week of our wedding to taking our gifts back to our hotel. They directed us on what we needed to do and where we needed to go as well as set up all these little extra details that my mom and I had included, but none of our parents or anyone in our wedding party had to worry about any of those things all day long! They wouldn't even let me help them pick things up at the end of the night! They were also very accommodating with my challenging schedule since I was planning my MN wedding from Boston!

I interviewed few other planners before I met Sarah and I could not be happier with my final decision. I knew after first few minutes that I wanted to work with her. Sarah was amazing to work with! We truly believe that hiring her for complete wedding planning was one of the best decisions we made during the whole process! Sarah was absolutely phenomenal! I didn't have to do a thing on my wedding day other than smile and pose. I didn't have to do anything the day after, either, because she took everything back to my vendors. We had Lasting Impressions be our day of wedding coordinators. They did an amazing job! They came to our rehearsal, helped us run last minute errands the day of, set up all of our DYI projects and tore everything down at the end of the night. It was definitely worth the money to have our families enjoy the celebration and not have to worry about getting stuff put away or load items in a car. They were very organized, professional and they helped us keep on schedule and keep everything running smoothly. We simply gave instructions at the rehearsal and when we came to the reception everything was set up better than we could have imagined or have done ourselves.

Back in April, my mom met a woman while on vacation who was a mother of a recently-married bride. They struck up conversation given the commonality between them – daughters and marriage. She provided a tip for the wedding day, i.e., hire a day-of coordinator. My mom related a list of reasons why. I dismissed it. As a planner by profession (product, not weddings), I felt I had everything under control and had planned the wedding thus far – I was on top of it. One month before the wedding, the details and coordination of them became overwhelming, and the final planning stage was taking away from me savoring such a special time before our wedding day. I was up at night with a checklist playing in my mind of “to-do’s”. And, I had several unresolved pieces of the puzzle I wasn’t quite sure how to solve, including day-of logistics, transportation, and “who should be in charge of what” in bringing items from the church to the reception and the reception to our house.

Fast-forward to August 13th 2011, a wonderful day that will go down the record book as a perfect wedding for my husband and I. It was perfect because I was marrying my best friend first and foremost, but it was also perfectly seamless because of Sarah and her team stepping in to manage the last month of the wedding, details and the day of. My mom and her acquaintance’s advice was invaluable.

Lasting Impressions, from the beginning, demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, passion and an ability to step right in and handle the last month and day of without question. The gift that Sarah and Andrea gave me, the latter of whom was the most amazing day of coordinator, was the gift of peace of mind, excitement, and as for the day of, a wonderfully-coordinated day.

I knew it was a good match when Sarah called me back within 5 minutes of my call to set up a meeting to determine if we were a good fit. And since then, I found that responsiveness was a core part of her character and business. I sent Sarah dozens of sporadic emails when wedding thoughts came to my mind, which in turn she collected and made sure were reflected in our day of plan and/or that she followed up on with the selected vendors. As for Andrea, talk about impressive! Andrea was there at the rehearsal and day of. I actually had individuals approach me at the wedding complimenting Andrea. And, when my discerning fiancé sees the value and extends compliments to the wedding coordination we received, it is telling of a great job and one well done.

On a side note, at my first meeting with Sarah, I mentioned an idea we had for Dairy Queen treats as a late night snack at the reception. My attempts to have DQ host an ice cream bar weren’t successful, and we were resolved to just have an ice chest filled with dilly bars and other treats. Sure enough, Sarah mentioned that she had a relationship with a DQ that delivered blizzards. How lucky were we? The blizzards were a hit.

And, Sarah and Lasting Impressions truly goes above and beyond. A week before the wedding, it became evident that my sister’s bridesmaid dress (which was ordered in January) wasn’t going to arrive in time. My attempts to remedy were not proving successful, and if there was ever a moment of pure frustration, this was it. Sarah hopped on the phone with the store for 1.5 hours, and sure enough, the dress showed up with just enough time for a quick alternation. I’m giving Sarah credit for that feat.

In general, I feel like the luckiest bride. I was able to work with the most wonderful vendors, and I’m convinced that the amazing day we had was because of everyone, and Lasting Impressions helped make the day perfect (and gave peace of mind to a wound-up bride).

I was skeptical about hiring a wedding planner for my first daughter's wedding. But after meeting Sarah at Lasting Impressions, it was clear that we needed her. So when our second daughter was engaged, we actually picked the wedding date around Sarah's schedule. Professional, honest and hard-working, she always tried to keep us on task. Sarah Trotter with Lasting Impressions was amazing! Working with her to help plan our wedding was probably the best decision that we made! From our first meeting with Sarah, we knew she would be great. When interviewing other wedding planners, we felt like we were just another client or "job", but with Sarah it really felt like we were working with a friend, but a professional nonetheless! She gave us invaluable advice about anything and everything wedding related from what vendors to choose, what food choices would work best at the reception, how/where to cut costs without changing the look/feel, etc. She made a conscious effort to help us stay within our budget and created an organized spreadsheet of all expenses, and reminded us when all our vendors needed to be paid. Sarah was always incredibly prompt with replying to our questions and requests, always emailing or calling us back the same day. We were planning our wedding from out of town, so she did a great job coordinating various meetings with vendors during our short trips home. She created a day-of timeline which was down to the minute, and gave both us and all our vendors a copy well in advance so everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when. On our wedding day, she made sure that everything ran smoothly and perfectly, and took care of all the behind the scenes details so we could really feel like a guest at our own wedding and enjoy every minute of the day withour worrying about last minute details. After going through a wedding with Sarah, I don't know how brides make it without her! I'd recommend her to anyone because she takes all the stress out of your wedding day so you can enjoy your day to the fullest. She is the most reliable and I trust her with anything that needed to be done. She also attended meeting with the vendors since she knows the right questions to ask and what needs to be planned. After getting married, I heard from The Depot's (my reception) coordinator that Sarah was the hardest working Wedding Coordinator he has ever worked with and he would recommend her to anyone.
