I used La Rio Mansion for a sorority function and it was BY FAR the best event I planned all year! Lily (the owner) is an excellent communicator and goes above and beyond for her clients! She not only made the process very easy on me but also helped me make the event even better than what I was originally planning. Lily was very willing to work with me when I needed to change things and really showed me that she cared about my event being successful. She is so enthusiastic about what she does and working with her made me feel confident and excited about my event. -

Literally watited on hand and foot and had a solution for any bump in the road I came across. Customer service like NO OTHER PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN! Best Central Texas Wedding Venue ever. And you guys - they are SO REASONABLE! All of their prices for such an incredible venue with amazing views... They made all of my dreams come true. There wasn't a more perfect moment I could have asked for. The whole night I was on cloud nine and it was because of their help and their attentiveness to detail. I didn't hire a wedding planner, but they had all of the help I thought I was going to need! From their preferred vendors to their grounds keeper - everything was perfect and my family can't wait for another opportunity to celebrate at La Rio Mansion. -

Kathy Sent on 12/01/2017My son and his new wife were married at La Rio this past weekend. The wedding was outside under the big tree and was absolutely beautiful.
The scenery was great, and the new ballroom was wonderful. The longhorns even showed up in some of our pictures. Will was very accommodating to everything we needed, and very nice to work with. He bent over backwards for us. Thank you for making this wedding a wonderful experience for my son and daughter in law!La Rio Mansion's reply:

Tania Sent on 12/15/2015La Rio mansion is such a gorgeous venue, especially if you want an outdoor ceremony and reception. We planned for ours to be indoors at first, then switched to outdoors, then back to indoors once we had some surprise rain! La Rio did everything they could to make sure that the weather did not spoil our big day. They worked so hard to make sure our tents did not fly away with the wind, and they sat and brainstormed with us when we tried to hash through details concerning the weather. Our reception was a bit wet, but it was absolutely perfect. Lily and Sam are so kind and responsive, and they honestly care about you and the experience you have with La Rio Mansion. If I could do it all over again, I absolutely would! -
User2442628 Sent on 11/25/2015La Rio is a beautiful place to get married. I heard over and over again from our guests that the venue was breathtaking. We were really happy with how everything transformed into a truly magical night! The house itself is gorgeous, as is the back patio. However, the property and landscape was not being managed very well until just before our ceremony. I wish it had been kept up with better, but nothing was so bad that I felt it was an eyesore. The venue owners are new to the business, and it showed at times. They over-promised when we first met them at a January wedding expo in Austin; they pitched their venue with a planned indoor banquet hall to be completed by Fall 2015. This would have been the perfect rain plan for our November wedding day. However, when we asked about construction plans in July, we were informed that they had decided not to build the space. The banquet hall was not in the contract we signed earlier in the year, so we were up a creek. Not only were we not informed of this decision until the summer, the venue owners also wanted to charge us an additional $600 to set up tents in case of rain. In my opinion, this was just poor business, hence the low scores. The place is absolutely beautiful, but the owners were not easy to work with. Pay attention to your contract and ask questions up front! -

Analy Sent on 06/04/2018I do not recommend this place. We were lied to by an employee and then when we tried to deal with the owners they handled the situation in a complete unethical way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM.
