  I'm a non-practicing Catholic, and Lisa's not really religious. My parents would have liked to have seen a Catholic ceremony, but neither of us wanted such a formal wedding. We'd seen John Knight officiate the wedding of our good friends Dan & Deb and liked the ceremony. We wanted an informal, non-religious ceremony that maintained the ideals of our wedding, fun and whimsy. A judge or other officiant would not have been able to keep that feeling for the ceremony. We met with him and worked through the ceremony and created our own vows. He worked with us to come up with the plan for the ceremony and the flow of the various parts of the ceremony. We wanted our wedding to be a happy celebration of our marriage and he helped to set the whole tone for the day with his very wonderful ceremony. It was everything that we'd talked about and it was better than we could have imagined. He completely worked with us to make our wedding ceremony what we envisioned.
