Delicious and picture-perfect cake! Kim was able to recreate our dream cake from a picture! It was unbelievable. Great attention to detail and stress-free!

Delicious and stunning! Our guests are raving about our cake from Kim's. It wasn't the typical white cake with white frosting - Kim gave us lots of choices, and we went with an applesauce spice cake with walnut butter cream frosting. AMAZING! The perfect, unexpected wedding treat! It tasted like fall, which is exactly what we wanted.
Kim also took our special cake topper and placed it on the cake perfectly. She listens to what you want, and then makes it even better.

Kim's Cottage Confections did an amazing job on our wedding cake! They have very tasty and affordable cakes and she is willing to make each layer to your specifications. Our wedding was in October and both of our birthdays were in May so we bought 2 different cakes with the layers we wanted in our cake to try them and we are glad we did! I would buy a cake again from Kim's!

Kim was really easy to work with and did an awesome job on our wedding cake! Kim also did our favors for us (mini chinese takeout boxes with candy) and they were so cute!

Kim was awesome! She was so open to all of my ideas! My cake was absolutely amazing and looked exactly like the picture I gave her to work from! She was also so helpful with the ordering of our candy favors!

Our wedding cake was probably one of my favorite things about the day. Kim's Cottage Confections had AMAZING flavors for their cakes and it was delicious! We decided to eat our cake topper immediately because it was so good and we are going to order another small cake next year on our first anniversary with the same flavors. Best cake I have ever had! The price was included with our vendor, I can't really comment on that aspect, but whatever it is it is worth it.

I hated my cake. I wanted intricate details, even brought pictures to the meeting. The problem was I didn't meet with the person who was actually going to be doing the cake. I met with a part-timer who took notes. My vision did not get across to the person decorating the cake because it was horrible. What upset me the most is it obviously looked bad so why didn't the decorator see that it looked bad and add something to it.

I contacted Kim close to a year before my wedding and asked if she would be able to help me with my wedding favors. I was looking for approx. 115 star shaped cookies....nothing too crazy, right? I live out of state and tried to set up 2 separate meeting with her AHEAD OF TIME for when I was going to be back in town. She more or less blew me off both times. I felt it was extremely unprofessional and rude. Finally, a few months before the wedding, I had to scramble and come up with a Plan B, since Kim obviously had no intention of meeting with me. I would NOT recommend this vendor, especially for anything to do with wedding planning!

We had two options the pick from for our wedding at the Riverhouse and let me say that I am sooooo glad that Kim's Cottage Confections was one of them. WOW! They were so amazing to work with and design our cake jsut to the specifications that we wanted.
When we went for our tasting we were impressed with all the different combinations and the tastes of them all. I'm a peanut butter freak and noticed they had a peanut butter mousse that wasn't in our sample. I mentoned this and Kim proceeded to whip up a small bowl of it, I proceeded to eat the entire contents of said bowl :-)
The cake turned out beautiful and delcious. I can't wait to have more on our 1 year anniversary.

I will say that my cake from Kim's was included in my package through my venue. I contacted Kim to do a tasting and had some trouble schedulding as I lived out of the state, but we were able to meet. Kim was very helpful with different designs to choose from and selecting the flavors. We were able to find something that worked for us and was delicious.

My wedding was held at the Society Room of Hartford, so I opted to have Kim's Cottage Confections provide my cake through the package option. I am so pleased that I chose Kim's!

The cake was just what I wanted--elegant and simple, and so fresh! My husband and I had a 4-layer cake with alternating layers of espresso cake with espresso mousse and apple spice cake with vanilla mousse, and it was so delicious!

My only small complaint--and it's minor! We saved the top of the cake to observe the tradition of eating it on our first anniversary, but due to the massive power outage at the beginning of November, we ended eating it on our 1-month anniversary so we wouldn't have to throw it out. At the tasting, I had requested that the top layer of the cake be the espresso with espresso mousse, since it was my favorite. When we cut the top to eat it, we discovered that it was the apple spice cake instead, but both varieties were so tasty it doesn't really matter :-) It just gives me an excuse to order another cake from them for a birthday or anniversary!

I loved Kim's Cottage Confections. I went through my venue to get them (Pavilion on Crystal Lake), so I was really wary at first. I thought they wouldn't be that good of quality, since it was through the venue. I could not have been more wrong! I went by myself for the tasting (husband did not care at all about the cake, and my mom was out of state), and the woman I met with was very nice and let me try samples of many different kinds of cake. She was professional and kind. The location itself was not very impressive, but the cake was good! I ordered cupcakes for my wedding. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I was supposed have "pearls" (little icing dots) around the bride's cake (which I always wanted, because I think they're beautiful), but they forgot to put them on, so the top cake looked very plain. However, the cupcakes were absolutely AMAZING. They always put a layer of something in the cake or cupcakes- a fruit layer, mousse layer, etc- and I had the fruit in my cupcakes. I thought it was amazing. My mother-in-law ended up paying for the cupcakes, and she didn't like them because they were a little small and the fruit fell to the bottom of the cupcakes. She called KCC and complained, and they offered a free cake for a birthday or any other celebration. I thought this was great. I didn't really have any complaints, but I thought it was great that they offered something to my mother-in-law who wasn't completely satisfied. They were pretty well priced, and they waited for me to turn in my final guest count to the venue, and only charged me for as many cupcakes as guests I had (my final guest count was given only about 5 days before the wedding, so this was very flexible!)

Our wedding cake was everything that we were looking for and more, it was so beautiful! I am not a cake person but ours was delicious!!
