Jimmy was amazing to work with throughout our entire wedding process from initial interview to his breathtaking vocals singing at our wedding. He was a true professional as MC and DJ for our ceremony and wedding reception. Jimmy has a keen eye on the vibe of everything going on and knew exactly how to work the crowd and keep the energy high.
We also used his team for Month of Coordination and Photo Booth. We cannot say enough good things about April as our Coordinator and the support she provided. The team went above and beyond expectations, were prepared for anything that happened, and gave us such great guidance leading up our big day.
Our wedding went just as we imagined it and so much of it was thanks to Jimmy and his team! With his experience, he was able to make anything we could think of happen, no hesitation. Absolutely no question, highly recommend Jimmy for any event needs!! -

Jimmy is like a sushi master when it comes to being a wedding MC and DJ—he truly offers an "omakase" experience. He flawlessly handled the basics, like event hosting and music preparation, but also went above and beyond to ensure my wife and I could fully focus on our special day. From the planning stages, he showed a clear understanding of our vision and guided us through many aspects of the process.
As a perfectly bilingual professional, Jimmy seamlessly catered to both English-speaking and Korean-speaking guests, creating an inclusive atmosphere. From the ceremony to the reception, he maintained an excellent flow and kept the event running smoothly at the right tempo.

Jimmy was a pleasure to work with from the very first video call several months before the wedding to the end of reception. During planning, my fiancée and I were often lost on exactly what we wanted. He gave us helpful examples and direction whenever we asked. The plan that we ended up with was very solid and his execution on the day of was perfect.
Jimmy's fluency in both Korean and English was critical as he was able to MC for a mixed Korean/English wedding reception of older Korean-speaking family members and family friends and younger English-speaking friends. He also translated my father's toast speech from Korean to English and recited it along with him. At some point during the night, Jimmy made sure to do something fun for the older Korean folks, where he played samples of some older Korean songs to have them guess at a chance to win some prizes that we had prepared. This was not planned but he saw the opportunity to make sure to include everybody in the fun, while our younger friends were at the bar getting drinks and socializing. His timing was great and he read the room very well.
Everything on our wedding day ran late (as apparently do most weddings) so Jimmy had to alter the plan somewhat to match the timing as well as the general vibes. He was extremely quick to adapt and is clearly good at thinking on his feet. A good example of this happened at the beginning of our reception. Reception had started late due to the bride and groom photography session running late. Originally the plan was for him to sing an introductory song to start the night in a lively mood, but he read the vibes well and the timing of everything and instead skipped the song and went straight to some pre-planned trivia questions about us. We wanted to enter reception stealthily and we were able to do so while Jimmy took the attention away from us, which was a very intelligent move on his part. Although it was a bummer to have not heard him sing, it was the right move; a good, quick decision made by Jimmy.
We gave him suggestions for music and he was able to add similar or complementary songs to the list to round everything out nicely. The dance music at the end of reception was well picked and he executed on our final song directions precisely.
His photo booth partner (I'm sorry I never got the chance to get her name!) was also very good. She was very quick but not rushed. There was never a delay between posing and taking photos. She also immediately printed the exact number of copies we needed every time without delay and handed them out to each of us, while still keeping the booth rolling for the next group.
Overall, I highly recommend JK Wedding Events, especially if you are holding a Korean-American fluent and culturally mixed wedding and reception. But even if you are not, Jimmy is intelligent, quick, charismatic, and talented. You will not be disappointed. -

My husband and I just had our wedding on May 7, 2022. We needed a MC that can speak Chinese, Korean, and English. After researching, we only found JK Wedding Events that offered this service. We had Jimmy Koh as our Dj/Korean MC and Sophia Chan as our Chinese MC, and they worked together to entertain our guests. They were both so professional and our guests can't stop complimenting them.
Prior to the wedding day, they were also wonderful to work with. We had a couple phone calls and Zoom meetings and a whole lot of email exchange, and they were always so kind and
responsive.
We also added on the photobooth service through them and Eugene Koh was facilitating
this. And she was also wonderful!!
JK Wedding Events also have other services, such as lighting, and wedding planning. We highly recommend JK Wedding Events!!! Our wedding would not have been so smooth and fun, if it wasn't for them! -

I first met Jimmy and his team at one of my best friends' wedding and was AMAZED at his vocal and his bilingual MC skills making the whole reception so smooth AND fun. Since then, I always had JK Wedding Events in my mind and without any hesitation I decided to contact Jimmy for my own wedding! Our wedding got postponed due to pandemic but Jimmy kept our contract the same and helped us plan our wedding during the entire time. I didn't have a planner or a coordinator which could be very frustrating, but Jimmy guided me through out the planning with his expertise. Our ceremony without an officiant ran perfectly, thanks to Jimmy! He even came to our rehearsal to guide us. Super easy to communicate and he is the BEST bilingual Korean American MC I can ask for. All of our Korean and non-korean guests were able to enjoy our wedding. Thank you again to JK Wedding Events!! -

We hired Sophia and DJ Swan for our wedding at the 1909 on 6/20/21. Sophia was great. Very high energy and engaging with the guests. She ran a treasure hunt and it was a lot of fun and very engaging. DJ Swan was amazing and we got lots of complements on the song choices by our guests. The dance floor was popping until the very end.

Best MC DJ and Complete Planning service
We hired JK Wedding Events for MC (bilingual Korean and English), DJ, and a Complete Planning. These guys are definitely professionals. My biggest concern was my budget and Rachel helped me plan according to and in the end below my planned budget. I put my faith and trust that they will bring my vision to life and they did. My guests told me how beautiful the aesthetics were (completely designed and handled by Rachel as that's what I asked for), how flawless Jimmy's directions were as a MC in both English and Korean, what a great singer Jimmy was and as a DJ, and how the event wrapped up on time without any confusions or moments of chaos. I was the happiest bride because my stress was minimal thanks to Rachel and Jimmy. They are the most supportive and kind professionals you can ever find. They really care about making your day the best day of your life so far. Hiring JKWE was the best decision and money well spent in the entire wedding process. I HIGHLY recommend these guys for any events - wedding, shower (baby or bridal), birthday, parties, etc. They are just SO dayam good!! -

We just had a wedding with Jimmy as MC/DJ. He was great from the first meeting till the day of the wedding. He's very professional, friendly, and experienced. He has many suggestions and guidelines, so that we don't have to come up with everything. He only suggested stuff that are truly needed and never tried to up sell anything. We also used their photo booth service and it ran smoothly and everyone had a blast. Jimmy is an amazing singer and he will impress and grab everyone's attention when it's needed. I would definitely recommend him to my friends. -

When we started wedding planning, we were going to ask a friend to MC our wedding for us at first. However, we realized it’s actually a pretty big favor to ask. We also wanted our friends to not stress and just enjoy themselves. We are so glad we hired Jimmy Koh as our Master of Ceremonies/Wedding Singer instead. If you think you don’t need an MC at your wedding, think again! You want to hire someone with experience and intuition, someone that can roll with the punches. For instance, our wedding slideshow had a hiccup so Jimmy provided entertainment for our guests in the mean time and cued our DJ to increase the volume of the music as a distraction while we worked on getting the slideshow up.
We also had a mixture of Korean and English speaking guests so when we found a bilingual MC who also sings very well, we were sold! Jimmy recommended some Korean songs for the mother/son and father/daughter dances and even sang too! Everyone was amazed by his singing and it doubled as entertainment since we didn’t hire a band for our reception. An MC is not someone that just gives important instructions to your guests (even though that is a big part of it). An MC makes the transition from event to event go smoothly and makes it less hectic/stressful on your wedding day.
He narrated our Pyebaek (Korean traditional ceremony) to our guests in conjunction with our vendor that we rented the ceremonial wear from (someone who he happened to be good friends with already!) He also played a couple games with our guests so there was never a dull moment during our reception. Our wedding day was perfect and so much fun, thanks to Jimmy! We would recommend him to anyone! -

Jimmy is the ideal MC/DJ that I was looking for and I am so happy we hired him. He brought so much fun and laughter to my wedding and made everyone so happy. A lot of my guests were still telling me how much they love Jimmy's performance two weeks after the wedding. The communication with him leading up to the wedding was also smooth. I managed to put down my preference of songs and games on his work sheet and he handled them very well. If you want to find someone who is experienced, fun, and easy to work with you should hire Jimmy!! -

Initially we weren't planning to get a Dj/Mc but then we realized it would be much easier since the venue didn't really provide speakers and mics. We were starting to freak out and so we looked around and found Jimmy. He had so many awesome reviews and when I spoke with him over the phone he was very experienced, friendly, and professional. We hired him right away and have no regrets. He answered all my questions, and was on top of everything. He even reminded me for a lot of stuff which was great. He was able to get a last minute song in and even stayed a bit later than our agreed time. He was super entertaining and very good at what he does. His speaker quality was great too. I highly recommend him. He literally saved our lives ! -

My husband and I searched high and low for a bilingual MC/DJ for our wedding in NorCal and had absolutely no luck so we looked a little further afield and found Jimmy. Jimmys prices were really reasonable and he has a unique hook to draw in the guests - he is an amazing singer! He was super responsive and helpful throughout the whole wedding process and did an amazing job with the everything during the wedding. The guests absolutely adored him and were amazed by his singing, and I got multiple comments on how funny he was. I literally regret nothing about hiring Jimmy and would do it again in a heartbeat! -

If I had to choose the best decision I made for my wedding, I would say hands down it has to be hiring JK Wedding Events. My husband and I got married just a few weeks ago, so all the compliments of my wedding are still fresh in my mind. Almost all of the compliments from the guests were that our wedding was the most fun and joyous wedding they have been to. I believe this goes down to having Jimmy MC our wedding so smoothly. What I loved about his service, is he is not just a DJ, but he orchestrates all your wedding events very well, leaving no room for dull pauses. Even while guests were waiting to go get food for the buffet, he was going around having them compete for prizes. He is really involved in making sure everything runs smoothly, with humor and a great personality. There was so much going on during my wedding, Jimmy gave me the peace of mind of taking care of the events that I wanted, and making sure that they went down without a hitch.
He is also a great singer, and before our first dance, sang beautifully before all our guests. I was shocked, as were most of the guests, at how great he sang live.
The one thing I do recommend is to go with the uplighting. At first I was skeptical, because with the wedding, I tried to save on what I could. However, he did a wonderful job at making the inside of the church reception go from plain walls to have a pretty wedding look, and then they moved all the uplighting outside for dancing, with colored flashing lights to the music. It was really beautiful, and made for great pictures. I would say, for a wedding, it's a must.
I'm just really thankful that we had a wedding better than what we imagined, and I believe Jimmy is to thank for this. He's such a great person, takes his time with you to make sure everything is covered before the wedding, and knows exactly what he is doing, so you don't have to worry the day of your wedding.
**Also, just a tip. I would try to hire him sooner than later for your wedding, because we he seems to be popular. I am fortunate he was free for our wedding, but he almost had another wedding to attend on my date!** -

My new wife and I got married last week. We chose to go with Jimmy as our MC/DJ upon reading favorable reviews right here on Wedding Wire. Let me tell you, contact Jimmy right now. He did an amazing job! From catering to our Korean and American guests with his personable humor, to setting up the best lighting we've ever seen, we truly felt at peace amidst the chaos of the reception knowing that Jimmy was holding it down. Many of our guests told us that he did a great job and had a fun time because they could all relate to his fun jokes and appreciated his announcements of the next event. Jimmy chose the perfect songs for our ceremony, reception, and also included the songs which we had previously requested during our meeting with him and over email. Rodney Sent on 11/19/2017Yoomin and Jimmy were wonderful. Yoomin was our wedding planner and we met multiple times and introduced us to vendors that were top notch. She was always available to us for questions and had wonderful ideas. On the day of our wedding, Yoomin and her team kept everything moving the way it supposed to go and we had so many compliments.
Jimmy was our MC. I had a lot of compliments as well-he is a wonderful singer and was born to entertain! We also used their Dj (awesome playlist!), and photobooth. They helped us with the Gobo as well. They are quite a team! In all, I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone to have a wedding of their dreams, because that is what we got! I will always remember what they've done for us! -

1. Jimmy did a great job as a bilingual MC, which has to be a lot harder than it sounds. We had a lot of first-generation Koreans and Americans mixed among our guests and he catered to both constituencies very naturally.
2. He was an awesome singer!
3. The music selection was excellent. ALL of our guests, without any exception, enjoyed the music.
4. The lighting (along with the flowers by Cityflowers) was beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. Thanks team JK for transforming my special day into a magical one! -

Mike Sent on 06/24/2013Jimmy is a true entertainer and a professional. On June 22nd, he MC'd my friend's wedding @ the Hyatt in Orange County. As usual with weddings, everything went wrong in terms of scheduling. As the best man, I can tell you the Groom was really stressed, but Jimmy continuously checked in with us and took care of EVERYTHING. Need more time? No problem. Need to speed things up? Easy peezy. Jimmy can sing any genre of music, he can play and lead the crowd with any game imaginable, and most importantly, Jimmy can entertain ANY age group. No joke, Jimmy somehow got 2 conservative/quiet/elderly ladies to have an insane dance off to buy us some time. Everyone LOVED it and the place was roaring with laughter.
TO JIMMY: Thank you for all you did - the wedding was yesterday, and the happy couple still can't stop talking about their wedding, and this was possible only because of your subtle and brilliant control of both the ceremony and reception!
I highly recommend Jimmy to anyone seeking an entertainer/MC for their wedding or party. -

Amy Sent on 10/13/2012Jimmy and his DJ were like the frosting to our cake at our wedding! He has an amazing singing voice that will blow both you and your guests away. Not only is Jimmy super talented and good at what he does as an MC, he is so laid back and sweet. He will make sure that you and your groom are completely satisfied and is more then willing to make any adjustments to make your wedding reception perfect for you. He offers unlimited feedback and advice services and will return your emails or texts should you have any questions before your wedding day during your planning process promptly. The DJ that he brings with him is also awesome! He has a great selection of music and made sure there were none of those "awkward silent moments" during our reception in between program changes. Jimmy and his DJ also offer state of the art equipment that we had no problem filling our church hall for 250+ guests with ample sound during the entire evening. It was great not having to worry about any sound or technical issues--Jimmy took care of it all. He is bilingual in Korean and English and your Korean parent's adult guests will also be taken away by his charisma. My very korean parents loved him! Most importantly, I cannot emphasize how hard it is to find honost and genuine vendors out there during your planning process. It is very stressful for any bride and groom that don't want to overspend but still have an unforgettble event. Not only that, many vendors will try to overcharge or enforce fraudulent services to get into your wallet, but you will not have to worry about that with Jimmy. He is genuine, honost, and truly cares about your event and will make sure everything goes to your liking for your big day. He's GREAT and worth your money! -

Hannah Sent on 09/25/2012I highly recommend JK Wedding Entertainment for all your wedding day reception MC & DJ needs. They made my reception a superb experience for not only the groom and I but a lot of my guests have been telling me they never had that much fun at a wedding reception before.
For me, as the bride, I relied heavily on accountability, level of passion in work, friendliness and taste and skillfulness in music when I was looking for an MC & DJ for my wedding reception. And I can honestly say Jimmy Koh from JK Wedding Entertainment met all of that and more. I was able to just relax and enjoy every minute of it... had so much fun from beginning to end.
I also wanted to hire someone that's Korean American (fluently bilingual) because though majority of my guests were Korean, a significant handful of them were non-Koreans so I wanted to be sure all my guests felt comfortable and had a good time and Jimmy made that happen. And he is an amazing singer! I mean I did view his videos of him singing prior to hiring him and all but he sounds even better in person! From elderly adults to my friends to us... we were all blown away by what an awesome singer he is. Through this review, I want to express my gratitude once more to Jimmy for delivering such excellent service and for establishing such a meaningful friendship with us too. I know there are a lot of wedding MCs out there but... Jimmy is one who is sincere, talented and passionate about what he does and takes his work very seriously while knowing how to have a great time. Thank you Jimmy! :) -

He has a great personality and provided very good suggestions to make our wedding exciting and fun. He provided his own DJ with his own sound system!! The best part is that he is a very good singer, many people at my wedding were in awe by his singing. I will recommend this MC to anyone planning a wedding, especially those that need a bilingual Korean/english MC.
