Jen is super friendly, great to work with, professional and extremely talented – she knew where to be, what to capture, and how to do it – and she never got in the way at all. Her work is top-notch – the picture quality and composition were beautiful.

From day one, Jen was easy to work with, knew what to do, and knew what questions to ask. She has this quality about her that is hard to describe, but was an absolute must for our wedding – it’s her knowledge and the talent to apply it without a lot of stress. I’m think her experience plays a big role, but she did such a great job with everything and everyone – and she did it so calmly considering everything going on around.

Jen’s very easy going and she knows the wedding circles of Charlottesville in and out. Anytime we asked her opinion (whether photography related or not) - she made great recommendations. To make things easier/smoother on the day of, she even made calls to coordinate with other vendors so that the photos would be just the way we wanted. Jen is extremely professional and knows what she is doing – she worked with our schedule of events, figured out all the logistics of family and bridal party and got all of the shots we wanted without any hassle.

Jen handled all of the things we were worried about with ease; large families (with toddlers and newborns), a large wedding party, and keeping us from seeing each other the day of – Jen knew how to accommodate it all. With big families (each with some big personalities) and the need to get the whole family together – Jen did a great job handling everyone’s input, getting the shots without any hassle, and managing to get all the children to focus and smile for those important moments. Despite all the pictures we wanted to get done after the ceremony – we still made it to the cocktail hour and got pictures done in 3 locations!

We’ve been to plenty of weddings where you feel like the photographer is purposely trying to prevent people from having fun or interacting with the bride and groom and the photographer’s equipment seems to be louder/brighter than the band. Jen’s got it down – what more is there to say – she takes beautiful pictures, she’s extremely knowledgeable and she is very personable to boot.

Living 5 hours from Charlottesville – Jen did a wonderful with communication both before the big day as well as after. The pictures were turned around in the timeframe discussed with some surprise previews thrown in, which were awesome.

Looking at the pictures (in both the box set and the digital version) – we were amazed at the quality as well as the interesting perspective she put on the photos. We love that she does a variety of color, black and white, digital and film – it really makes for an interesting set.

Jen and her team did a fabulous job and captured the day start to finish beautifully – she truly captured the charm of Charlottesville on our wedding day. We wouldn’t have changed a thing – except maybe have Jen come to the rehearsal dinner – Thanks so much Jen! You’re the best.

Working with Jen Fariello was a dream. My daughter and her husband were living in Houston, Texas so did not get an opportunity to meet Jen prior to the engagement shoot. They loved her! She was incredibly easy to work with and immediately made them feel at ease. Her photos are amazing from that shoot and the wedding. The details she captures are fanatastic. She excels at capturing the mood of the day, taking the fun and unexpected shot and the large group posed shots. Due to distance and timing, we opted to take my daughter's bridal portrait the day of the wedding which came out unbelievably beautiful! The joy she was able to capture on film screams young love. Jen was unobtrusive, professional and most importantly the photos are remarkable. Jen suggested appropriate times for taking all the necessary photos and we were able to stay on schedule on wedding day. The bride and groom opted to not see each other prior to the wedding, however they did take many photos before the ceremony thanks to Jen's advice. Her knowledge of UVa, St. Paul's Church and Farmington Country Club were key in getting the best shots, gorgeous lighting and speed in taking all the photos. When ordering the photos, the CD's of all the photos was invaluable due to parents and the couple in different states. Along with the CD, she sent copies of the actual photos to the bride and groom. They appreciated being able to physically look at every photo in print which made ordering for their book much easier. While the cost of photography is substantial, the photos and Jen Fariello are very much worth the investment. You would be blessed to work with such an extraordinarily talented photographer. Her photos are stunning.

LIVE & RELIVE!!! Our daughter's wedding turned out just as planned and to have it all captured by Jen in such exquisite and creative ways and be able to relive and enjoy it (since the day-of can be pretty intense) has been such a blessing! You know she is a Keeper from the moment you meet her, and when you see her work, you are

I am still in awe of the beautiful memories Jen Fariello captured of our wedding in Charlottesville 2.5 years ago. She provided us with so many stunning photographs that it was nearly impossible to choose which ones to frame and give as gifts--such a great challenge to have! Jen was a truly exceptional photographer for several reasons. First of all, her photographs are beautiful and she captured the mood and the atmosphere of the wedding day so perfectly. In addition, she was able to draw out people who normally refuse to be photographed (a significant portion of our guests!) and because she has such a lovely personality and character even those guests felt comfortable and trusted her to capture their images. I even posed for photos happily although normally I despise having my photo taken! I would recommend her without reservation and will happily look through the photos she took for years to come.

By far, Jen was the best decision we could have made for a photographer. She is truly gifted at capturing all of the little details and important moments and is equally adept at taking the classic wedding shots and the more journalistic ones. Her creativity and skill are simply superior. Plus, you would have never known she was taking pictures during the ceremony and reception since she was so discreet about where she was in the action. Our family and friends absolutely raved about the pictures. We also found her to be very professional and easy to get along with. She made the album design session really enjoyable and we are just thrilled with the final product.
