I am not even sure where to begin; Jeff is in a league of his own. His unique portfolio and keen ability to play with light caught my eye immediately. I knew we needed him to capture our special day. His ability to blend in anywhere had me look at pictures with surprise wondering where he was when they were taken. The action shots with us and the bridal party made the entire day a celebration and left everyone talking about how unique Jeff is and what a great experience it was. I never thought I would be one to have a wedding shrine in our home but I am not sure how we will pick which ones to display. Jeff’s price is comparable to others, but his work is far superior. Aside from him being a world class, innovative photographer, Jeff is professional, kind, and helpful with even providing a rough timeline of the day that allowed me to craft a schedule to pace ourselves. Highly recommend and would love to have a reason to work with him again. Thank you for everything, Jeff!!! -

Jeff came to us a recommendation from a bride and groom Jeff shot 27 YEARS ago! Jeff’s years of experience, posing direction, creativity, time management, vision, personality, upbeat energy, and passion are just a few of the things that make him top notch. From the moment my husband and I hung up the phone after talking with Jeff for over an hour, we knew we had to book Jeff immediately. Jeff cared who we were as a couple and who we were individually, and wanted to put that on display through the photos he took of us at our wedding. In the months leading up the to wedding, Jeff called multiple times to see how we were doing and was always easy to reach if we had any questions. Jeff then helped me create a timeline of how the day would play out and was determined to get all the shots I wanted. He was honest in what was possible in the time that was given. Jeff even had a bridal boot camp with another photographer and makeup artist where I learned so many ticks of the trade for do’s and don’t on your wedding day. We covered topics like makeup, posing, spray tans, waxing, food trucks, and so much more. With what other photographer would you get this? I’ll tell you-none!
On our wedding day, Jeff took charge and created magic, all while making sure everyone had fun. Jeff wasn't afraid to get down and dirty in the garden to get the best shots of me and my husband and bent himself like Gumby to get the best angles all throughout our reception. He is also no stranger to danger as he braved shooting my wedding party with smoke bombs in the background. He ended our night with his signature champagne shot and my goodness was that fun.
To wrap it up, Jeff was the best decision we made for our wedding (besides whom I chose to marry). Everyone raved about him- even my mom who is very hard to please. His photographs are jaw-dropping, edgy, and glamorous all at the same time and came very quickly post wedding. Jeff truly cares about his clients and my husband and I felt like celebrities with him photographing us. Don’t walk, but run to book Jeff. I promise you that his photos will leave your tail wagging for years to come -

Jeff joined us as the photographer for our wedding this September 2024, and he was amazing. Both my partner and I are shy little creatures with a strong aversion to being photographed, but somehow Jeff easily made the experience painless and surprisingly fun. I actually enjoyed having photographs taken throughout our wedding day with Jeff and his assistant Blaze, and my partner and I have both been shocked by how amazing the final photos have come out so far. Our wedding coordinator, after seeing Jeff’s portfolio and working with him on our day, said something like “I think he’s the most creative photographer I’ve planned a wedding with”, and we’d have to agree. He’s an amazing artist and was incredibly delightful to work with – we feel so lucky that he joined us to make our special day so much more perfect. -

The best of the best!
What can I say? Jeff was the cherry on top of our dream wedding. From our first phone call, to our first meeting at a cidery, to our wedding day, Jeff went above and beyond to make sure our day was captured perfectly. When we first came across his portfolio, we were blown away by how beautiful and unique his photographs were. His attention to detail when it comes to lighting, background, and positioning make for photos that truly WOW the viewer. He spent the entire day of our COLD November wedding creating interesting and gorgeous shots while making sure we were comfortable. Everyone who sees our wedding photos is in awe. Jeff truly cares about what YOU want as a couple and brings his own personal vibe to the shoot. He goes above and beyond to get the perfect shot! We couldn’t recommend Jeff enough. -

Deciding to work with Jeff on our wedding day(s) was one of the best decisions we have ever made!!! After seeing examples of amazingly creative photos he had previously taken and speaking with him about specifics over the phone, we felt confident that even with the awkwardness we feel around photos, he would make it a fun experience that we would never forget. Little did we know after that first conversation how right we would be! We originally booked Jeff for a July 2020 date. When the world went to hell and we had to reschedule everything, Jeff was a consistent support.
In the end Jeff photographed our backyard 2020 wedding, our make-up 2022 wedding, and my brother-in-laws wedding, so it truly feels like he is now a part of our family. His comforting presence, unmatched expertise, and thoughtful guidance truly enhanced each experience and... the PHOTOS! They were so good that not only do they cover our home's walls, but we can also now say we are magazine cover models, talk about a bucket list check!! We will absolutely be working with Jeff in the future and will be recommending him to everyone we know. THANK YOU JEFF! -

Jeff was awesome!! when looking for wedding photographers i wanted someone that capture the true fun and personalities of me and my husband and also didn't wash me out with white lighting which seems to be the trend. When we met Jeff it just clicked he was fun and knowledgable and his pictures are just amazing. The way he captures the fun going on instead of poses is EXACTLY what i wanted. I don't know how he captures us with the perfect lighting while we are being crazy and fun on the dance floor it is an absolute gift. The photos are artwork and we have gotten so many compliments on them . Also jeff style of literally laying on the ground on the dance floor for the perfect shot is the exact reason why his photos are epic. HIghly highly highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone to capture you and your guest just having fun instead of boring posed photos (he will do those too ) but he is a truly gifted photographer and such an amazing guy to work with! Jeff these photos are just epic! -

I cannot say enough how special Jeff made our wedding day and photos special. From start to finish, it was with utmost professionalism while also FUN !!!! If you want the most creative and beautiful photographs, look no further. Jeff and his team made the day stress-free at the stunning Ashford Estate. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!!

Jeff was the first and only photographer we spoke with and we both knew instantly that our search was complete. Quite simply, he’s the best in the game. Despite capturing weddings for over 20 years, we were amazed by his continued passion and excitement. The reason for that? He is immensely skilled and creative – don’t expect a checklist of cliché wedding photos with Jeff, he has true vision and is not just a guy going through the motions. Jeff looks to capture your unique story through his artistic lens.
We knew we were in good hands and deliberately provided little instruction because we trust that the photos would come out perfect. We weren’t wrong. On top of all of this, Jeff was generous in sharing tips and trips to ensure the day was smooth and successful. He helped craft our day-of timeline and thanks to his guidance, it went off without a hitch.
Jeff and his team (shoutout to Blaze!) bent over backwards for us to the point where our guests were even in awe of the lengths the photography team was going to to capture all of the action. One guest said there was a photographer in the tree during our ceremony…we laughed it off but after seeing our photos, they weren’t kidding! Clearly we could go on and on, but if you’re not convinced at this point, it’s not Jeff, it’s you. Last tip, GET THE CHAMPAGNE SHOT!!

To put it in laments terms, Jeff made our wedding day one we will never forget. I found Jeff through a former classmate's social media account. The pictures from her wedding were vibrant and stunning, which led me to immediately book him 2 years out from our big day. Jeff was patient with me and took the time to get to know my now husband and I so that he could capture what our love and personalities were all about. Up until 2 days from the wedding he worked with me to put together a list of what I wanted for the big day (I should mention I updated this list a few times). Day of, he was the MOST patient person with me as I am a fairly awkward in photos and made both Bryan and I feel super comfortable and confident when he was snapping his photos. Our bridal party loved working with him as well. He is not only a professional photographer but he makes a point to build a rapport with his clients which is something I find to be a unique quality that I did not experience with other vendors that I had reached out to. I can't forget to mentioned that Jeff also really pulled through for me and found me a photo booth guy since the one we had originally booked cancelled on me 5 weeks before the wedding. He is not only a photographer that I will surely work with again, but also a friend that I know I will be recommending to all my friends and family for future events. -

IF YOU DON'T READ ANY OTHER REVIEW, PLEASE READ THIS ONE: Jeff and his amazing team are worth every penny and more. Everyone wants to have special wedding photos they will treasure - and something I think is so crucial to having amazing wedding photos is that who you and your significant other are are ACTUALLY CAPTURED in the photos. Jeff and his team do such an amazing job of this. Listen, they were actually a part of my day. When I go back and think about my wedding day and team we hired to make that day amazing, I actually think of Jeff Tisman. He is professional, he is dedicated to getting you what you want, but he is also so real, and down to earth and honest, and passionate! If you want a wedding photographer who will get genuinely excited about taking your photos, Jeff is your man. I like to give this example: there are wedding photos that people consider to be "classic" like the couple kissing once they've finished their vows, etc. If you take Jeff and any standard photographer, and have them take the same photo at the same moment, both may be beautiful, but Jeff's will make you feel the moment. And I just want to say that that's not just about my own photos, that is the feeling I have gotten from seeing random stranger's pictures! On top of that, he'll also get totally creative with you. My husband and I love to party and dance, and I am a professional dancer - he took full advantage of who we were and I mean this guy and his team were EVERYWHERE. My guests were so impressed with them and getting a real kick out of their dedication to the shot. I mean they were on the ground and up high and sideways and any other ways you can think of to get the shot. And in all that, never did my husband or I feel annoyed, or interrupted or - goodness I would completely forget they were there sometimes and then a friend would say something to me like, "You didn't see him on the ground when you guys danced through the crowd!?" This is a special team. Your wedding photos are one of the only things you have to remember this special day with, and believe me, you want Jeff on your team. I can genuinely say, Alex and I had fun with them. On top of their stunning photos, they, as people, actually also made our day even more special. Remember, you're going to be with the team you hire for your wedding ALL DAY. You want to LOVE THEM, you want to COLLABORATE with them, and YOU WANT to FEEL GOOD and know that they are also having a ball with you and dedicated to making that day and those memories even more special than you could imagine. He is different, and still will take any kind of traditional photos you need. But you want the whole package. Everyone can give you traditional photos, but not everyone can capture who you are, not everyone can capture complete moments in time in their fullest feeling, and not everyone can do it and still be totally innovative. Jeff Tisman is the man you are looking for - and if you regret it you can troll me on IG. XD -

The best thing we did for our wedding day was have Jeff Tisman there to capture every moment. Five stars doesnt even do it justice. Jeff doesn't just take photographs, he creates beautiful works of art, and to be a part of his art is an absolute honor. Not only is his work stunning, but he is just such a lovely person all around. We cannot express just how grateful we are to have had him as a part of our day. We love you, Jeff! Thank you for everything! -

Jeff was the cherry on top for our wedding day!
My husband and I knew we were going to have a destination wedding as soon as we got engaged. The next thing we knew was we were going to have Jeff Tisman shoot our wedding and we would do everything in our power to have him there. The stars aligned and Jeff shot our wedding along with his assistant, Joey, in Miami (we are from NJ) and the photos are EVERYTHING! We wanted both the edgy, fun, unique photos that suited our personalities, but also the pretty/ special moments to make mom and dad happy and that's exactly what we got :-) Both Jeff and Joey were so easy and fun to work with!!! Our photos seriously are works of art and totally exceeded our expectations. We got amazing, sunset photos, beach photos, street art photos, special candid organic photos as well as our personal favorite- jumping in the pool in our wedding attire photos. I can not rave enough about Jeff Tisman. Thank you for making our wedding so memorable! -

If you're looking for those outside the box wedding photos, Jeff's your guy (you can see on his social media ). He was the first vendor we booked and I'm so glad we did. From the first phone call you knew, Jeff LOVES what he does. Once you're booked, he'll invite you to his annual bridal bootcamp. Don't laugh, just go! First of all, it's fun and the information you receive will change your wedding day. It's not just about the pictures, he actually wants you to enjoy your day and have it go as smoothly as possible. I made many changes after the bootcamp and I'm telling you it changed our wedding day for the better. When the bride is happy, everyone is happy. When everyone is happy, you get great pictures! Where do I even begin! I met Jeff at 17 years old when he photographed my cousin's wedding. I then had the pleasure of working with him again to take photos when I was 18. I knew from that moment on that I wanted Jeff to be my wedding photographer. He was fun, happy, and took the most amazing photos. So nine years later when I got engaged he was my first phone call. I was extremely excited when he told me he was available! Jeff takes pictures you don’t see every day, and there is no one like him. We needed a second shooter and Jeff made sure that their pictures were of a similar style and quality, and Adrianne also did an amazing job working with the men! Opening my wedding album today was everything I could ever dream of. Jeff did an amazing job from start to finish giving us photos that will last a lifetime. I could not be happier and feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Absolutely incredible & one of a kind!
Where do I begin? From the moment I spoke with Jeff for the first time on the phone, I knew that he would be the photographer to capture not only our wedding day, but our love story! Out of the eight award winning photographers that I had interviewed, Jeff was the ONLY one to ask about our story, how we met and what we enjoy doing together on a daily basis. Photography is so much more than a job for Jeff. His talent & passion for photography is truly admirable! It’s so evident that he genuinely cares about each and every couple that he works with. He has a gift for seeing things differently than everyone else and for taking the most incredible pictures! Jeff is a true artist that will capture the traditional wedding photos that you ask for but he’ll also capture so many memorable moments that you didn’t even notice! His pictures will leave you speechless and wanting more! The pictures that he took on our wedding day left us absolutely awestruck!! Jeff made Bob and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He even coached us when we asked for advice on how to pose or where to look! Jeff and his team are extremely talented, very professional and so down to earth! Jeff and his team made taking pictures so much fun and we had an absolutely blast working with them!! Right off the bat, you have to understand that Jeff is not *just* a photographer, he truly is an artist. He has a gift at documenting special moments from unique perspectives; using light, shadows, reflections and other elements to breathe life into every picture.
We were fortunate to work with Jeff for both our engagement session & wedding day. (Definitely use the same photographer for both, so you can build a great rapport - plus you'll feel so much more comfortable on your big day!) Jeff is so easy to work with, even when you might feel awkward, not know how to stand or what exactly you should do with your hands, Trust him! His guidance and creativity always pay off.
Our wedding photos are absolutely insane, mind blowing really. Each of Jeff’s photos tell a story, allowing us to relive those emotions as if we're right back in that very moment (which is spectacular because the day truly goes by so fast!) No other person could make a rainy, grey day look like the most epic celebration - We could thank Jeff a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough. He did my wedding over the weekend and while it was the best day of my life, i'm even more looking forward to seeing all of Jeff's pictures because I know just how amazing he is. He captured the happiest, most fun, perfect lights and spectacular settings to make this day unforgettable. He also does it in a really charming way, with a funny laugh and sense of humor that makes you want to keep going. I wish i had more big events on the horizon just so I could spend the day again with Jeff! If you can get him you absolutely should - no questions asked.

Veronica Sent on 06/26/2018It was truly an awe-inspiring experience working with an artist like Jeff Tisman. His unique vision and artistic point of view, created some spectacular images! From the moment we decided to work with Jeff, he became a part of the wedding. His incredible Boot Camp for Brides workshop really guided us on how to make things run smooth the day of! Even the lessons he gave on “Smizing” brought out the inner model in both of us, making us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. We worked with him for months leading up to the day outlining the type of pictures we envisioned for our wedding. Jeff was always willing to answer any questions to make sure we felt comfortable and at ease. Jeff not only captured our wedding day at the Pleasantdale Chateau, but the love my wife and I have shared for the last 20 years, with each photo telling the story of our love. It was great to work with a photograph that sees things outside the box. Jeff didn’t take a photo, he told us to have fun and be ourselves and he let his camera just be a witness to that.

Having seen his work and hearing about wonderful experiences from other Brides there was no shopping around she knew exactly who she wanted. What a wonderful experience.. Jeff is worth every penny. Can not wait to see all the photos. Jeff and his staff could not have been nicer or more professional. Guests at the wedding said they have never seen a photographer go above and beyond as you did to get shots from every angle. Thank you so much. Our photos are fabulous!!! He is one of the most approachable, easy to work with, fun professionals we met along the way. His attention to detail and his eye for the moment is amazing. His knowledge and experience are unsurpassed. His energy was also impressive, and it carried through the length of the entire day. He is not afraid to go the extra step to get the perfect shot and it shows when you see your photos. We highly recommend him over any other vendors hands down
