My boyfriend just purchased my (soon-to-be!) engagement ring from IDoNowIDont.com. We were very nervous, not only because of buying online, but also because we were buying a ring "second-hand". We found a ring we both loved (I actually gasped when I saw it!), and contacted the seller. After a few emails back and forth, we settled on a price. He edited the listing to reflect our offer, and we purchased. The seller sent the ring to IDNID; they have a GIA trained specialist evaluate the ring to make sure it matches the listing and the certificate paperwork. (While they are evaluating it, our money was held in escrow). Once it was confirmed that the ring matched, they released the money to the seller, and sent the ring to us. I actually called IDNID, because I was checking the tracking number and it looked like it was going to be delivered on a Saturday (and I had it delivered to my work!) and I was all panicked that no one would be here to sign for it. A representative called me back almost immediately, was very pleasant, and assured me that they only deliver on weekdays. Their customer service is great.
I have not seen it in person, but my boyfriend says it looks amazing! It will have to be resized (the ring is a 7, but I am a 5.5), but that is not a big deal for the amazing deal we got.
Oh, also! I found a coupon online (I used code "EBBOX13") for a free insurance appraisal, so we got that too! The ring appraised for nearly DOUBLE what we ended up paying!! We have already recommended IDNID to several friends.
We got a ring MUCH nicer (& bigger!) than we would have been able to afford at a traditional store. I cannot wait to see it on! =)
Just received my ring a few days ago and have to say its even better then I thought. I was able to get the same Tiffany ring for around half the price it sells in Tiffany for and could not be happier with with the savings and using the money towards the wedding.
We decided to sell a diamond engagement ring that I designed and was custom made by a jeweler in one of the largest cities in U.S. It had a large center stone with different shaped side stones (with a total ct. wt of just under 2 carats).
We had an independent top (GIA accredited) gemologist do a 9 page assessment & appraisal just before listing it on Now I Do Now I Don't and, provided well lit photos of every angle of the ring in indoor & outdoor lighting. The ring is stunningly beautiful but it was from a previous relationship, and I've been happily married to the man of my dreams for 17 years. we felt someone else should enjoy this dazzling ring instead of paying to keep it insured in our safe.
The rings' "Market Value" was close to $10,000 (this is not the "replacement/insurance amount" which is typically over priced/valued). We priced the ring at 40% of its' actual value (less than 1/2 of what it was worth) and sat and waited and never received one single inquiry on the ring on this site.
In the meantime, I listed the ring on Craigslist for 15% less than the price of the ring we were asking on the IDNID site (as that is what they charge you if you sell your ring through their site - which is very reasonable).
We NEVER received an inquiry let alone, an offer from anyone on the I Do Now I Don't site, but had lots of interest from the Craigslist ad (which was
I tried to sell my bridal ring set to I Do Now I Don't, recently.
The set is currently available on Helzberg Diamonds for $4000. Obviously, mine is a used version, but still has all its stones and setting and could be cleaned up for under $100.
I think this place is probably either a joke or scam in terms of selling. They offered me $300 and told me that the set would potentially sell on their site used for $650.
Furthermore, they got confused over my ring and did not follow through on their emails that said they would get an offer to me by a certain day. This happened multiple times, drawing out the process of even getting a quote from them.
Finally, the grammar and punctuation in their emails was atrocious and unprofessional. Ex: "Will have the offer today the email was confusing as you have it signed as [redacted] and the ring came in as [redacted]"
I will say they responded to my emails with a few hours each time.
So either the moral of the story is these guys are idiots/scammers or diamonds are the stupidest investment on the planet.
I went to a pawn shop and got a quote that was 180% of the price they offered, so ???
At the least, their website is false advertising.
My fiance and I had only been ring shopping once or twice before a friend told us about your website. She assured us that it was a legitimate business. After browsing the website together, I found exactly what I was looking for. I told him that even if he didn't get "that" one, that I'd like mine to look very similar. A few months later he proposed with "THE" ring from idonowidont.com and paid a fraction of the cost had he gone to either of the jewelers we had previously visited. The payment transaction and shipping process was fool proof and he had the ring a few days after initially speaking with the seller. I am in love with the ring and knowing that he had such a great experience with the purchase maikes it that much better.
You guys are onto something!

I was a member of idonowidont.com for about 6 months hoping of what I going to find my engagement ring I make a few offers and those people sale those ring way more expensive of BLUE NILE,RITANI,ETC, anyway some of them answer me back very few, and they don't take any offers, when I star searching for price out there and find out those people asking too much for it I decide to close my account, and I bought my diamond in retail website very good color, clarity and good price.
My boyfriend and I were talking about getting engaged, but were not financially ready to make a purchase as large as we would of liked to. After hearing about your website, I looked at it and found the ring of my dreams. I purchased it at a price much lower than what we could of bought the same ring for at any jeweler and the seller received more money than he would of made by selling it to any jeweler. We both made out great! We are thrilled about the being able to purchase the ring I have always wanted! Thank you I Do Now I Dont!
I wish I would have read these post before I tried to sell my ring on idonowidont.com. The customer service leaves so much to be desired. While I understand its relatively new there's no excuse for the poor customer service! Is the guy just running this out of his basement? No one answers the phone when you call and emails are very vague and not helpful what so ever.
I posted, agreed upon and sold my ring...that's where the trouble started. I did my part and shipped the ring to them insured (which costs a fortune) they received it the Friday before Labor Day but failed to notify me it was delivered as promised by the website (I see now that this is an ongoing problem) when I inquired about this I was told that their "offices were closed on Friday" when I asked how UPS shows it delivered the answer I got was this "we have a third party sign for all deliveries". A third party? They knew it had delivered but still failed to notify me as the website promises. Ironically, i recieved an email shortly thereafter stating it had in fact delivered. It did only take 48 hours to verify the stone therefore I received an email stating it was shipped out and a check was cut. That was last Wednesday. Four us mail days later and still no check although the buyer has had the ring since Friday. In my opinion this site needs some completion one that will protect the seller as well as the buyer. There is no reason other than greed that they could not electronically transfer funds in this day and age. They have made over $1200.00 off of my ring with little to no customer service. I would not use this website or recommend them
I sold my platinum .84 carat diamond engagement ring and had a good experience. It took a while to sell it because I had it priced too high. I learned that diamond rings are way overpriced and you never get back what you put in. A few buyers made offers and I took the one that was closest to my minimum amount. I was a little disappointed that the site has a poor system for sending in the ring. They didn't have a form or number or slip to put in with the ring so I printed out my listing and put it in the box. Other than that, it was smooth, the buyer got a great ring and I got a nice check. I highly recommend the site.
Every person needs to shop on this website. I am not kidding. The prices are negotiable, and there are a variety of styles and qualities of jewels at a fraction of the price you would pay in a big name chain store.
Just sold my ring and could not be happier. I was extremely nervous sending in a $25,000 item and they worked with me to feel comfortable.
Been searching for a Tacori ring for Months and could not afford the one I really wanted. Found the exact one on the website at almost half the cost. Best deal and website ever. I would recommend anyone to them.
This is my second purchase from the website and I bought a gorgeous diamond eternity band that I saved thousands on. They were extremely helpful as all my local jewelers said they could or would not be able to re size it so I send it back to the website where they sized it for me and it came out perfect. I recommend the site to all my friends.
I bought a Tiffany Ring that I always wanted and could not afford until now as it was 50% off retail. They helped me get the ring of my dreams. My co worker recommended me and I would recommend all my friends as well.
I was looking into selling an old engagement ring and I contacted customer service about pricing it. 3 emails and no response from them regarding an estimate (they did respond initially and referred me to the people who could help estimate a good listing price). And did anyone else notice all of the 4/5 star reviews on this website from supposed sellers use the exact term "I couldn't be happier" and that they were made to feel "very comfortable" with the shipping/receiving process? Also, they are all exceptionally expensive rings? I don't know, something seems suspicious. It seems you can get good deals as a buyer but I believe the a sellers are being taken. Glad I read the reviews thoroughly before I proceeded any farther!
