Working with Hyatt Regency Chespakeae Bay is always a seamless experience. Their team is organized, communicative, and incredibly supportive throughout load-in, event execution, and breakdown. The property is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed, making it easy for rentals to integrate seamlessly into the space. We truly appreciate their professionalism and collaborative approach, and we always look forward to partnering with them on events. Highly recommend this venue to couples and fellow vendors alike.

We had our wedding at the Hyatt this past May, and I can't speak enough at how amazing it was! We originally worked with Kate who worked with us on a date and made sure we had everything we wanted. Then we worked with Sarah on all of the details leading up to the wedding. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner and when we arrived at the Hyatt a few days leading up to the wedding and the whole weekend they treated us so great, despite there being another wedding that weekend. This venue is beautiful, the food is amazing, and you can't beat getting married on the water! I'm so glad we chose the Hyatt as our venue!

Planning a wedding is stressful enough without a global pandemic. Sarah answered any and all questions I had leading up to the event and kept me up to date with every press conference from the governor. As the day got closer and numbers were beginning to spike again we talked through suggestions to keep everyone safe. All of our tables were six feet apart and all of our guests told us how safe they felt during the entire event. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the ceremony and reception was as well as how great their guest rooms were. I could not have asked for a more perfect day!

We had an AMAZING experience with the Hyatt Regency at Chesapeake Bay. We worked with Kate originally and then just with Sarah leading up to the wedding. They were both great!
Sarah was timely, responsive and had great attention to detail. Planning a wedding out of state can be stressful and we were in good hands with Sarah in control. She made everything seamless from beginning to end!

I can’t say enough good things about the Hyatt. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without planning it during a pandemic. Sarah and Kate were our wedding coordinators and went above and beyond making our big day happen!! They were flexible and always in contact with us coordinating. They had several suggestions on how to pull off a safe and successful event. All our guests felt like they could put the stress of the pandemic on pause for a second and relax safely. They had several fun socially distant activities. We could not had the wedding we had planned without the Hyatt’s expertise, caring, and flexibility.

When you have such a wonderful wedding thanks in part to an amazing wedding coordinator in the Hyatt’s Kate Hopkins, it's hard to sum up your experience in words. We fell in love with the Hyatt as soon as we saw the gorgeous view of the river from the lobby. We wanted a waterfront wedding at a dog-friendly venue, and the Hyatt literally checked every box. We were already impressed with Kate before our visit -- she is responsive, experienced, informative and has a great sense of humor. Throughout the process, she had quick, clear answer to all of our questions, made everything streamlined and smooth...and fun with laughter. We felt genuinely embraced by Kate and every Hyatt staff member. This was especially important for us as a lesbian, interracial couple since we do not always receive positive or equal treatment. Many of our wedding guests are members of the LGBTQ community and/or in interracial relationships, so it was important to us that our venue be an inclusive place where everyone would feel comfortable and free to be themselves.

Other must-have features:
- Most venues only offer one bridal suite on-site. Kate made arrangements for us to both have a suite the morning of the wedding.
- One-stop shopping -- and Kate making everything happen both before the wedding and as a day-of-coordinator -- was a huge benefit. Knowing that anything related to the venue (food, beverage, lodging, shuttle transportation for guests, etc.) would be handled by Kate or another member of the staff was a major relief. She even helped us work with the chef to have chocolate-covered strawberries assembled into the shape of a croquembouche, the traditional French wedding cake.
- Our dogs were allowed everywhere on property except the restaurants and pool area.
- The catering menus offered flexible pricing allowing us to add the items we cared about and remove the things we didn’t.
- The Sago Spa & Salon made it easy for the wedding party to get ready on-site.

Hilary was beyond accommodating! From our nearly last minute plans to get married ,guiding us step by step the day of, making sure our decorations from the ceremony made it back to our room and even having some snacks and drinks for us in our room when we got back. We were so pleased with the service that we are planning an anniversary stay there. Thank you Hilary!

Overall I had a wonderful experience with the Hyatt at Chesapeake Bay. I originally reached out using a wedding website and was quickly provided information by Kate Hopkins at the Hyatt. She sent me a general outline of the pricing and we went back and forth with emails until our visit to the actual location. When we arrived we were greeted by Hilary Jones & mimosas - not a bad way to start :) We were taken around the Hyatt by Kate and she answered our MANY questions. After lots of emails back and forth, we were excited to sign the contract and start planing our wedding to be at the Hyatt!!

We had a spectacular tasting with Kate and staff members. They treated us like Gold as they brought us our favorite drinks and our tasting choices! We went over all wedding details with Kate while eating the amazing food! This was a perfect start to our planning.

Shortly after our tasting we started working with the wonderful Hilary Jones. Her responsiveness and attention to detail really made us feel confident we would have everything we need and our wedding would go as planned. All emails and calls leading up to the day were so helpful and clear. She really made everything seamless and I'm so happy we had her help!

Once we arrived for our wedding weekend, we were warmly greeted by the team members. The valet, concierge, front desk members and serving staff were all exceptional and treated us like Royalty. All weekend long we had wonder service!

I highly recommend having your wedding at the Hyatt. It's a gorgeous location and all staff members really made it extra special.

The Hyatt Regency has been where my bride and I spent many anniversaries and where we got engaged, so it came up as a potential wedding venue very early in our planning process. We were initially nervous that it would be out of our price range, but the team at the Hyatt worked with us right away to make our dream wedding a reality and I couldn't be more happy that it worked out!

Working with Molly Taylor and her team was certainly a key aspect to us having an event that went so well and blew away our expectations. We could always call or email and discuss changes, thoughts, questions, or anything else. The wedding packages were super customizable to whatever it is you wanted, and Molly was amazing at guiding us through that process and giving honest feedback about our thoughts and ideas.

Once the wedding weekend actually arrived, it truly felt like we had a whole team at our disposal to assist us with anything we needed and made us feel like rockstars and the most important people there-- even though we knew there were other weddings happening that weekend (which did not take away anything at all, we barely even saw signs of other weddings, which again let us keep feeling special!). Through last minute changes and even rain that started part of the way through our ceremony (which Molly and the team at the Hyatt heroically and memorably sped into action about, with umbrellas appearing out of nowhere for the bridal party and our guests!), it felt like everything went so smoothly.

Everything set up for us was done so beautifully and seamlessly, and I'm so thrilled we were able to have our wedding at the Hyatt Regency. Our guests were able to make use of all their great facilities and it was just such a memorable weekend. Thank you to Molly and everyone else at the Hyatt for our dream wedding-- we can't wait to continue to come back for years and years to come to relive the amazing time we had.

The Hyatt was the perfect venue for our late September wedding. Molly Taylor, our coordinator, was a dream to work with and helped make sure that everything was the way we wanted it from our first meeting last fall up through our farewell breakfast the day after the ceremony. Her expertise was invaluable and she was on top of everything from start to finish. We can't thank her enough for making our day everything we hoped for!

Our guests loved the property, the amenities, and the location out on the Eastern shore, and the banquets staff, especially Tierra during our reception, went above and beyond to make sure our three events ran smoothly. The hotel staff were also extremely helpful with any requests, including providing us a space on short notice to stuff welcome bags. Anyone looking for a great Maryland shore venue need look no further than the Hyatt!

Where to start! We knew that planning a wedding from thousands of miles away was no small task, but as soon as we talked to Molly Taylor on the phone the first time we knew this was the place and we knew she could get everything done exactly how we had envisioned. She and her team were an absolute blast to work with, and things couldn’t have turned out any better. Every interaction was extremely professional and the Hyatt provided quality customer service. Rush to book this hotel!!! The professionals are excellent; the venue is excellent; the accommodations are excellent!! Everyone we dealt with was willing to do anything and everything above the call of duty to make the bride and groom happy! We had a whole Fourth of July weekend of festivities and all of our guests were beyond thrilled!! The wedding exceeded our wildest expectations and our expectations were very high!!! And might I add from engagement to wedding was four months; Kate Hopkins and the entire Hyatt staff worked with us to make everything seamless. Their attitude was yes yes yes!! Could not ask for more!!!

We were married on May 21, 2016 and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding! The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is an exquisite and exceptional place to have the perfect wedding! We were scheduled to have our ceremony at Breakwater and it rained; or, as I like to believe, my dad was sending lots of tears from Heaven. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to have our ceremony at Michener's Library, and it was a beautiful alternative to the outdoor venue. Molly Taylor was our event coordinator and we couldn't have asked for a more amazing person!! Molly and her team made the day so absolutely perfect...a day that we will never forget. She was extremely professional yet so fun and so easy to work with, she was very responsive, she was flexible and patient, and she truly cared. She went above and beyond. She was there throughout the entire process and ensured that her team was exceeding our expectations. She ensured that everything was well organized and ran smoothly. My husband and I got married at the Hyatt in Cambridge on May 30, 2015. Our wedding was nothing short of incredible. We worked with Kate Hopkins and she truly did an amazing job making sure everything was done just the way we planned. From start to finish she made sure that everything was perfect. Today is our daughter and son-in-law's 4 month anniversary! Our friends and family still comment on their wedding - from the spectacular ceremony setting, the ambiance of the cocktail and dinner receptions, excellence of food quality - and amazing service throughout! Our wedding coordination, Manda Lawson, was available every step of the way - including making last minute adjustments on Stephanie and Luke's wedding day! The entire staff made the bride and groom feel so special throughout their stay. Our out of town guests were also thrilled with the convenience of their accommodations and the variety of activities on property. A perfect 10!!

We had our wedding at the Hyatt in Cambridge, MD and were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. My husband and I cannot compliment the Hyatt enough! Our wedding was absolutely PERFECT, can't thank all the staff enough that were involved in making our day so special! Our wedding was in late September 2015 – ceremony was supposed to take place in the breakwater pavilion, but it was a bit windy and the water was splashing everywhere. Our AMAZING wedding planner/coordinator, Molly and my husband quickly came up with a backup location to have the ceremony in front of the infinity pool…..it was perfect. Our cocktail hour half inside and half outside of the breakwater ballroom and our reception in the Breakwater ballroom. Everything was SO beautiful! Molly was awesome! She handled everything with such professionalism, always responded to my million emails right away, and never had to worry about a single thing! I do have to compliment the entire staff at the Hyatt though, every time we went there during the planning process we always felt so welcomed and felt like we were right at home and knew everyone! Our wedding day went so smoothly, and everyone that came couldn't stop complimenting us! We had quite a few guests tell us it was one of the best weddings they've been to, and although I'm sure that is what you're supposed to say to any bride and groom, I truly felt like our wedding was one of a kind and all of our guests has an amazing time! Food was amazing too! My husband and I knew we wanted to get married by the water with a little bit of beach, choosing the Hyatt was definitely one of the best decisions we made - we would HIGHLY recommend you having your wedding here if you want to have the perfect wedding day! We had our wedding at the Hyatt this summer and could not have been happier with the location, service and overall outcome. Manda and her staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. Numerous times we changed cocktail hour location, ceremony times, reservations, etc. and Manda took everything in stride. Our wedding needed to be moved indoors due to inclement weather. The staff did an exceptional job working with the florist to create a beautiful atmosphere for the wedding ceremony.

I recently had my wedding at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay and it was perfect (as perfect as one's wedding could be). Please note that I had an Indian Wedding with about 200 guests in attendance. The resort can host larger and smaller weddings.

From the moment I contacted them to the Sunday brunch after the wedding, they were as helpful as helpful could be.

I worked with Molly Taylor and she had the patience of a saint. My family can be loud and annoying and embarrassing demanding, but she kept her cool and dealt with their requests at all times. She never got upset with my emails full of random questions and requests and on the wedding day, was there every step of the way. She gave me the freedom to relax while taking care of any issues that went on through out the whole day.

The resort itself is also amazing. The staff there worked tirelessly to ensure we all had everything we needed for the weekend and any issues that arose, they were on top of it. The valet crew was kind and amazing. The front desk / check in were fun and worked hard to ensure people got their rooms on a timely fashion. When keys didn't work, they did their best to fix the problem asap.

For other brides, if you want a beautiful water front location and can afford it (it is on the pricier side), definitely look into this resort as your choice. They are accommodating on every side and you will never feel like you are missing something or aren't getting anywhere. Indian brides, this place can do it all for you! They have great indian food and work with vendors who understand how to host an indian wedding.

We actually stumbled upon this property but selecting the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake was one of our best decisions! Kate was the best person to work with and thanks to her, our wedding was the absolute best.

Oh My GOSH! The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is by far the most outstanding venue for a wedding, rehearsal dinner and reception. The Service is TRULY IMPECCABLE and I just wish I could relive my wedding day there over and over and over because of it.

Words cannot describe how perfect my wedding day was and it honestly has a lot to do with Molly Taylor and Amanda Lawson's help, service and accommodating support the ENTIRE weekend. From the beginning, walking into our room with all of our favorite drinks and food, and one of our engagement pictures framed- it literally was so special, and that was only Thursday night! To the end, when I had to say goodbye to them, I almost cried when I knew I wasn't going to see them again!

Molly & Manda both knew I was curious how the weekend was going to go with another wedding the same day, and just as they reassured me, I didn't even notice there was another wedding. Molly kept surprising me with things here and there that really made my wedding day that much more spectacular and it's those little things that really mean the most!! Manda & Molly are truly incredible assets to the Hyatt Regency and I only hope all brides can have these two as their catering/sales managers because they will make you all so happy!

I can't say enough about how wonderful our wedding was! Molly and Renee did excellent jobs! The food was incredible! My family and friends have all said that they have not attended another wedding this year that could come close to how great ours was and how well the Hyatt managed everything!

My husband and I had a small intimate wedding here in May. Our weeklong stay alone was lovely and we were able to enjoy much of what the hotel has to offer! Kate was amazing from setting up the details to making sure everything ran smoothly that day! We cannot wait to go back!

From start to finish Molly Taylor and her team at the Hyatt were top notch. Always available to answer questions, make suggestions, provide support and recommendations. The planning process was smooth, easy, and fun because of Molly! Having my wedding at The Hyatt overlooking the river was my dream since my husband and I first met and discovered it back in 2008. Molly helped us make this a reality. She coordinated the entire weekend, including the rehearsal dinner (which was fantastic- at the Cambridge house!),she made sure everything was handled, prepared, on time and that it all went off without a hitch- which she promised and reassured me (several times!) that it would. The banquet captain, Rene, was also FANTASTIC. She made sure everything at the reception was perfect. It sure was. The food was outstanding! Everyone was commenting about how beautiful and wonderful the entire wedding was. We could not have picked a better venue and group of people to work with. Our gratitude is infinite!

Hyatt Chesapeake is our absolute favorite getaway any time of the year. It's relaxing for the adults and too much fun for the kids, they never want to leave. I recommend Hyatt Chesapeake all the time and can talk non stop how much I love everything about it!

The search for a wedding venue is one of the most important and overwhelming parts of wedding planning. We live in Houston, TX so we were only going to visit venue options once so it was vital we did a lot of research and narrowed it down prior to our visit 15 months before the event. We were lucky enough to be connected with Molly Taylor who was willing to send us information via emails and talk to us over the phone before our visit. When we stepped foot on the Hyatt property we were in love but we didn't know if it would be in our budget. The convenience and professionalism that is a part of the Hyatt package was the perfect pair and sealed our decision for us. We could not have asked for a better coordinator, Molly Taylor, or a better venue overall. The food was amazing (not your typical bland hotel food), the ambiance was perfect and the views outstanding. All of our guests had the time of their lives and complimented everything about the Hyatt numerous times. They were also very open to us as we are a same sex couple and we appreciated that we weren't treated any differently than the next couple. We are looking forward to having more celebrations at this Hyatt in the future as we had the best time of our lives!

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort was the perfect place for my wedding. As most of my guests were driving 2+ hours or flying to come to the wedding this resort was perfect for the wedding weekend. Everything went so smoothly from the beginning to end. My wedding coordinator, Corrin was amazing. I would recommend her to anyone I know getting married in the future. Yes, they are a little pricey but you are getting what you pay for and everything is amazing! They put everything together perfectly without any issues. If I could do it all over again the exact same way I would in a heartbeat.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay was PERFECT! I honestly don't understand how people could make a bad comment about anyone at the Hyatt. We worked with a few different catering managers while planning our wedding, but we ended with Corrin Savigiano who was SO helpful. She would call/email constantly so we always remained in touch. Everyone, from the bell hop, to the maid, to the waitresses, to the girls at the check-in desk, EVERYONE makes you feel so welcomed, even if you aren't the bride and groom. They will do anything for you and your guests to make you feel special.

As far as the actual wedding day, the Hyatt was so professional. I thought, since we had over 25 tables, that there would be about 10 Hyatt servers just walking around making sure things were running smooth, but EVERY single table had it's own server. I had guests telling me that their server would go to the bar for them, they wouldn't even have to get up if they didn't want to. The whole wedding was just so smooth and everyone said how beautiful the wedding and the resort were. I would recommend the Hyatt to ANYONE who loves a beautiful outdoor wedding right on the water.

We couldnt have asked for a more perfect day or more perfect group of people to work with. I never had to worry about ANYTHING.

The Hyatt was perfect for our ceremony and reception. We were treated like celebrities for the day! The wait staff and banquet managers made sure everyone was comfortable. Our guests loved our wedding and the food was amazing. It was the day I hoped for!

The Hyatt Chesapeake is a GREAT venue for a destination-type wedding that your entire family will love. Throughout our wedding weekend, I loved being able to walk through the resort and see family and friends, whether it was at the spa, at the Water's Edge Grill for breakfast or just walking the grounds of the proeperty - - it really enabled me to spend more quality time with my guests than if I only saw them for the day. My guests were a slightly older, more urban group from the Northeast and everyone RAVED about the quality of the food and bar selection, saying it was the best quality they've seen at a wedding (I did the "stations" and it was worth the extra money!).

ALL of the service managers were great - from Christina at the Spa, Chad at the River Marsh golf course, Patrick at the Water's Edge Grill, John with Activities and Michael with the lighting/AV, everyone was extremely responsive, professional and as flexible as they could be. But the MVP of all the managers was the Catering Manager, Kelly Motley! If you consider the Hyatt, ask for her. There was no question too small that she wouldnt address immediately and professionally (some of the older posts about the Hyatt's responsiveness pre-dated Kellys' arrival at the resort). She was organized and kept detailed notes on my requests so it felt personal, even though she handles a lot of weddings at once. I really felt like she worked with me and my budget to make sure I got a good value for my cost. So, yes, the Hyatt isnt cheap, but you really do get high quality for the money, both in terms of service as well as the product.

My recommendations to future Hyatt brides: Find out if there are other weddings the same day as yours! Columbus Day weekend had numerous weddings on that Saturday, whereas I was lucky and was the only one. If sharing your day with another bride would bother you, keep that mind.
Hire a day-of coordinator. Its a huge resort and there are a lot of logistics to coordinate for the day, so you'll want someone there to help you. Also, get the Hyatt Credit Card from Chase (you get 3 Gold Passport Points per $ spent at a Hyatt!). Make sure you book enough rooms at the Hyatt -- I totally underestimated how many people would love to stay at the resort and they end up selling out of room for Friday night! So, make sure you get enough b/c your guests will want to stay there! Finally -- get some lighting from SWANK (the Hyatt's A/V company). The ballrooms look a little stale in regular light, but it was exquisite with some amber uplighting and intelligent lighting. Totally worth the investment. And dont worry - - you cant see the color of the carpet when the tables are all set up.

If you want a great destination that your guests will love, where the food/liquore is extremely high-end and where the service is turn-key, I highly recommend the Hyatt (particularly Kelly Motley!)

Absolutely beautiful! I have no regrets with choosing the Hyatt Chesapeake, the staff was incredible and the hotel itself set the mood for everyone at the wedding. We can't wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary!

This is an absolutely gorgeous place to get married. Originally I did not want an outdoor wedding, but after seeing this place I knew I wanted to get married outside overlooking the water. I loved that they had several ceremony and reception locations on their property to choose from and they also had good backup options in case it rained on our wedding day (thankfully it didn't and the weather was absolutely gorgeous!). The Hyatt's event coordinator worked very well with our wedding planner to make sure we had everything we needed. My one small complaint was that we had a horrible run-in with a swarm of flies that got into our room (can't really escape the flies since you're near the water) but the hotel sprayed our room and thoroughly cleaned it to our satisfaction. Hotel staff is extremely accomodating and the food was EXCELLENT! My guests are still raving about it!

Our planner was absolutely the best. She was on top of everything and went above and beyond our expectations. The overall service from everyone at the Hyatt was exceptional.

It was the best wedding EVER, except for the wedding that you will have;) Kate and her staff were great and they made all of our dreams come true! She took care of everything that I needed and she kept me from going crazy! Weddings are very stressful and she was there for me when I needed her the most! We straddled warm/cold weather for our mostly outdoor event and Hilary arranged for some blankets to be given out to keep our guests comfortable.

We were most impressed with the staff at the Cambridge Hyatt and thought they did a wonderful job maintaining all our needs. We absolutely recommend this venue for a wedding or just a fun weekend away with family and friends.

It's maybe a little chill or windy early in May. It's going to be some problems to hold activities outdoor.

My husband and I found the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake because we were hoping for a venue on the water. We were not disappointed. The views all around the resort are amazing. While the inside of the resort could use some updating, the grounds more than make up for it. Our ceremony was outside on the manor lawn overlooking the Choptank River. It was beautiful. Everything about this venue was incredible!

This location is AMAZING with the Bay right there and the hotel itself is great. We did our ceremony on the Breakwater Pavilion, which was more than perfect with water all around you and the privacy we wanted. Molly Taylor, with catering, was awesome and very easy to work with. She made the planning process very smooth. The food was what we expected and the rooms where the guests stayed were perfect with water views.

My husband and I originally booked our wedding in Aruba. The Zika virus took a turn for the worse, and I had two pregnant bridesmaids. After visiting the Hyatt, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Kate and her team were absolutely AMAZING!!! They were extremely accommodating and made sure the planning process was easy! Our wedding day was PERFECT! Thanks to Kate, the whole day was timed perfectly, food was amazing and we had a BLAST! I would definitely recommend getting married at the Hyatt! It felt like a destination wedding without ever getting on a plane!

Our wedding reception was wonderful, to tell the truth everyone said the place was beautiful, one told my mom it's a place president Obama used to come it was wow your daughter's reception was wonderful the place was wow.

We worked with Molly Taylor to plan our wedding at the Hyatt in Cambridge, and it was a wonderful experience!!! If we had to do it all over again, we would go back to the Hyatt and work with Molly in a heartbeat. Molly was the epitome of a professional, listening to our ideas and requests carefully and doing what she could to make everything happen.

We hosted three catered events at the Hyatt as part of a wedding weekend--Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding Reception & Post Wedding Bruch, and each surpassed our expectations. The food was fabulous and the service was friendly and fast at each event. Everyone on the catering staff was extremely helpful and courteous!

Our wedding was originally supposed to be on Manor Lawn, but due to an ominous rain forecast, we moved it inside to the ballroom. I was worried about this at first, as I had envisioned us getting married on Manor Lawn for over a year, but Molly took care of everything and worked with our florist to create an absolutely stunning room!

My bridal party and I used the salon services as well, and we were all very happy with our hair and makeup. The Spa opened a separate room to take care of all of us and we were done early!

In addition to the wonderful staff, the hotel and grounds were immaculate, and many people commented on how much they enjoyed the venue. The location served as sort of a mini-vacation for all of our guests, which made the whole experience that much better for everyone!

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful Eastern Shore weekend. I gave a 4 for value because of the high rental fee for Manor Lawn (which is not refundable if it rains, but the money can go towards decorating the ballroom). Otherwise, many things were negotiable.

We worked with Kate and she was amazing every step of the way. She went above and beyond to be accommodating for our wedding and made our time at the hotel unforgettable. Every guest had something nice to stay about the hotel, hotel staff, and the wedding. I would highly recommend having your wedding here!

The Hyatt is a wonderful place for a wedding. The professionalism showed in the handling of every detail. The night flowed extremely smoothly. I was especially impressed by the immediate response to any of my requests. Breakdown was handled quickly, with all decorations that I supplied re-packed in the original boxes and delivered to our suite. Food, the rooms, the entire resort are first class!!! I cannot give this hotel enough praise!!!

While all wedding planning is stressful and overwhelming, the weekend of our wedding everything was amazing. The food was raved about by all guests! During the reception the bride and groom had our own attendant who was with us and helping us all night. Everyone was so helpful and made our night absolutely perfect. The hotel was beautiful and allowed for amazing photos. Our friends and family also enjoyed the many amenities that the Hyatt offered them! Thank you!

We had our wedding at the Hyatt. It was PERFECT!! We worked with Kate and she did everything she could to make our lives easier and make the day special for us. We did all of our planning in just 5 weeks!!
Our guests complimented everything about the wedding. They loved the facility, the location of the ceremony (the Manor Lawn), the food, and the staff that was working during our event. People are still calling and commenting on how everything was perfect. The staff couldn't have been any more accomodating or pleasant to work with. We wish we could do it all again!!!

Kristyn was our site coordinator. She was EXCELLENT! very professional and at the same time, very caring. She really made me feel like I have one of my girlfriends pulling strings for me at the Hyatt.
The Hyatt resort itself... good value. but they don't budge much for anything... like giving away too much free stuff or extra comp rooms. We're big time negotiators and we couldn't get them to do any extra "giving"... it's all good though, the venue was ABSOLUTELY beautiful. I have amazing pictures on the grounds. My guests were all raving about how beautiful the scenery was.

Overall we had a great experience with the Hyatt. We originally reached out and dealt with Kate whose work focuses more on catering management. At the 115 days until wedding mark, we were introduced to our wedding coordinator Hilary, who was fantastic. If we dealt with her from the start we may not have felt the need to hire an outside day of coordinator.
The Hyatt overall was very flexible with us in choosing a menu and the timing and locations of our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our wedding itself did have a few small hitches, but they were mostly insignificant to our overall experience as the Hyatt did their absolute best to fix what small things went wrong (slow service in a restaurant, a very slight menu glitch at rehearsal dinner), and when the error itself could not be fixed, provided us complimentary additional food or beverage services to make up for the mistake. So overall, my husband and I, as well as our guests, had a very good experience. All of the food was wonderful, and all of the staff were more than courteous to us and all of our guests on our wedding weekend, plus the resort both inside and out is beautiful!
Unfortunately although we planned an outside wedding, the weather did not cooperate and we had to move indoors. The Hyatt staff did this seamlessly - communicating with all my vendors and providing a beautifully decorated indoor ceremony and reception space.
Overall, we were very happy with our choice to have our wedding here and look forward to returning on anniversaries. Special thanks to Hilary and our attentive wedding servers, especially Traci, for making us feel like superstars!

Beautiful sites and very relaxing.

This truly is the place to get married outside! The pier was the perfect setting for our ceremony. The prices were a little high, but you are paying for the wonderful resort and for the beautiful setting. As in the other reviews, a few snags along the way and I handled the details pretty thoroughly from the beginning. Food was wonderful and the setting made for beautiful pictures.
Our family was very happy we chose this great place to stay. Everyone had a lot of fun and there was plenty to do.
The spa was wonderful as well, hair, make-up, etc.

My family and I were extremely happy with the wedding events (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and brunch) at the Hyatt. Molly Taylor was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process, I could always rely on her to answer all of my questions throughout the year as we planned the wedding and she organized a wonderful wedding weekend.

We also received excellent vendor recommendations from the Hyatt (for the photographer, DJ, and florist). The venue was beautiful and the captain running our reception did an excellent job.

My only real complaint is the management of the Hyatt's salon. I used the Hyatt's Sago Salon for our nails, hair, and make-up. The technicians were amazing, but contacting the salon and setting up appointments was challenging. It was hard to get a hold of someone at the front desk and on the day my bridal party and I were supposed to get our nails done, two technicians did not show up to work. This was frustrating because then one of the nail technicians had to work on my nails (the bride) and one of my bridesmaids at the same time. She did an excellent job but it was a frustrating situation since I had booked these appointments about 10 months in advance. The salon should have had a back-up plan to take care of my entire party and not make one of their technicians pull double duty. Again, the actual beauty technicians did a fantastic job.

We had our ceremony out on the Manor Lawn. Although it was close to 90 degrees, there was a nice breeze from the water, so it certainly helped cool things down! I did not have a wedding planner, but the wedding coordinator at the hotel was so amazing I did not need one (Molly Taylor)! She was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning and the day of. The hotel as a whole is beautiful with so many different things to do, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who has a lot of family and friends coming in from out of town, as it is a great place for a mini vacation as well!

This was certainly a beautiful place for our July wedding. We were married on the breakwater pavillion and we couldn't have found a better location. The hotel was obviously gorgeous and very nice for all of our guests however if I was not so organized I think that there would have been many more issues. There were a few minor hiccups over our wedding weekend that didn't ruin the experience but certainly caused some frustration. For example, a few people who reserved rooms in our block when they went to check in were told there was no reservation! One of my guests ended up sleeping on the floor because they did not reserve the correct room. For our rehersal dinner, which we had in one of the conference rooms, my mother in law specifically requested no nuts because I have a tree nut allergy.Well luckily I'm a picky eater anyway because I didnt any of the things that contained nuts.I had a wonderful time but I know that my in-laws,parents and a few guests were quite upset but the lack of organization and coordination. I think the most confusing part of everything was the fact that I went through 3 wedding coodinators from the time we booked the wedding until the actual day. I would recommend this place to other brides but caution them to stay on top of everything.

We loved the Hyatt! Great location -- it feels like a destination wedding because for local DC/MD/VA/DE folks it's only a couple of hours away.

We got married on the Manor Lawn, and had our cocktails on the floating dock, which was really unique. Our reception was in a ballroom.

We worked with Kate -- and she was great and very helpful -- I have done professional event planning for my job, so I was a probably a bit harder to work with than most brides. She took a lot of questions and emails from me.

The food was wonderful, and our banquet captain Renee was awesome. It is on the pricier side -- $150-$200+ per person (including fees/tax) for the wedding packages, but you can always negotiate for a different package. You could probably get around $110-$120 per person if you are flexible.

The only negatives I would say are that not all of our guests received our gift bags upon checkin, some of them had to ask for it. Even when staying in our block, I think that the front desk should ask if they are there for a wedding. Also, I felt that as the bride and groom, we did not get great room assignments. Our parents complained and got upgraded to a nice room, and the suite that I had for my bridal suite was smaller than the one I was shown before. It all worked out OK - but I would make sure you get the rooms you want. We did not like paying for each location (ceremony, cocktail), but in the end it was worth it. Try to negotiate! I only wish we had negotiated to have a free stay during our 1 year anniversary, we were so busy that we did not get to enjoy the resort! The pool is spectacular!

I highly recommend uplighting in the ballroom to make it more intimate. Otherwise you might feel like you're at a conference. I loved the square table and rectangle table options.

My guests loved it, and everyone had a wonderful time. The manor lawn is beautiful and everything really went off without a hitch. Breakfast buffet was good, and the spa was great.

My wedding was outside and it was absolutely perfect! The view of the Bay and golf course was amazing and the weather was perfect. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious.

We really did have a dream wedding at The Hyatt. All of our guests thanked us for bringing them to such a beautiful place. There definitely were a few snags along the way and you have to be ready to manage the situation pretty closely, but in the end it was perfect and the staff were very attentive and professional. The food was also amazing. Everyone commented how it was the best hotel food they ever had. We were very happy and are glad we chose this space for our wedding.

Our wedding at the Hyatt was absolutely beautiful! From the grounds, getting ready areas, ceremony site and ballroom, the Hyatt is a one of a kind venue. The staff who worked our wedding were outstanding!! They made sure we were ALL taken care of throughout the night. They had a smile on their face always and even jumped into our love train dance. At the end of the night, they high fived us and hugged us, they were a true asset to our day and we are grateful for their hard work that day/ evening. Our guests loved being able to stay on site. The Hyatt includes a lot of small options that other venues don’t such as a champagne toast, dessert bar, passed apps and displays. The contract we originally got was extremely outrageous, but we were able to negotiate with Kate Hopkins and came to a package that was very reasonable.

With that being said, in the final 2 months before our wedding I had little confidence in the event coordination. Often times I felt as though we were given the run around, told they would get back to us and never did, which made us nervous getting close to the day of. What confused us more is when we received the final contract (only a few days in advance) it was extremely detailed and included everything we wanted, it was just never communicated back to us which was kind of odd. When we arrived about 24 hrs prior to our wedding, we were approached about drapping to be put up for the wedding the following day and asked if it could be put up for our wedding. I felt this was extremely inappropriate given that our wedding was only the next day and our event should have taken priority as it was occurring first. We are thankful we hired a day of/ month of planner who has great experience with the Hyatt and their event coordinators because she was truly our advocate in ensuring our wishes were executed. Without her, I am confident we would have been pushed around a bit.

We loved our wedding, wouldn’t change a thing, but recommend your own planner.

Came here for my son's birthday and while we love the venue and all the activities, this year there were some rule changes like the hot-tub only being 16 years and older and so many restaurants not only for lunch during the week or breakfast being buffet-only, that we are not sure about coming back. They were great otherwise in giving us an upgraded room and trying to accommodate all of our requests, but the experience was not five-star and more like four-star at best.

The Hyatt is absolutely beautiful. I never dreamed I'd be able to afford to have our wedding here but the coordinator did her best to work with our budget. We had a few bumps in the road, and we had to contact them monthly because the automatic payments we set up were not coming out on time. I also felt slightly rushed on my wedding day. But all in all I had a wonderful wedding.

We originally had another coordinator assigned to us by the Hyatt. She is no longer with the company and unfortunately had to leave only a few months before our wedding. Not her fault. She's a doll and we totally understood the reason for her exit. But, we were assured that we were in good hands with a different coordinator, Kate, who has been there for upwards of 15 years. Working with her was immensely frustrating as she has poor communication skills, forgot both mine and my then fiancee's name even after having been corrected, lost our planning folder prior to a meeting that we traveled half way across the country for, always seemed "put off" when we had questions or needed to make changes, lost track of/forgot of answers to her questions....it was a hot mess. Her professionalism was severely lacking, so much so that when we discussed plans that we made with the original coordinator, she'd roll her eyes at the mention of her name, and then blamed her for contract problems that were not her doing. I loved the venue and had the most amazing wedding day. If I had to go back and do it again, I would but just not with Kate as my coordinator.

I would think very carefully before choosing the Hyatt as your venue. My wedding was smaller on their scale, 140 guests, and it definitely felt like we were an afterthought. The process was going well and we were having an excellent time with them, the food at our tasting was amazing and they went above and beyond in terms of preparing special items for us, etc. Our event coordinator, Rachael, carefully listened to all of our "hot button" concerns. I felt like they were so professional and that we were in really good hands. The location can't be beat and I felt so good about how all of our guests would be able to enjoy the facilities for the wedding weekend.

Then, the energy began to change. We learned another wedding, much larger and with a much larger budget, had been booked the same weekend as our wedding, and that they would be using our same ballroom up until an hour and a half before our wedding. This left our coordinator in a tough position, as she now had very short turnaround time to set up. It also meant we had to hire a second shooter, so that we could get photos of our ballroom setup without any people in it. They also strongly suggested we move our cocktail hour location, which had been right in front of the building,as it would give them more time to set up and allow them to move chairs and such in through that space and not have to set up for both the cocktail hour and the ballroom at the same time. We did, but it meant doing cocktail hour outside on a hot day. This added a lot of stress about 5-6 weeks out from our event, which was really unfortunate. To her credit, Rachael was very apologetic and offered us a free champagne toast and golf cart to use for elderly guests for the weekend to make up for it.

And then, on the weekend of, our parents were not able to check in until much later than we thought, because all the rooms were booked. They also charged for early check in, which was not something that had been discussed with us before, any of the times we called or emailed about early check in. Also, some of our guests did not get the rooms they paid for (ex, paid for a balcony, but didn't get one).

The day of the wedding our guests had to walk through a large group of people attending the other wedding in order to reach the bathroom. Their buffet was in the hall we shared, which meant navigating a crowd and made it difficult especially for older guests. And, to me the thing that sums up all of our issues; the food was COMPLETELY different from our incredible tasting to what was served to us at the wedding day. The ravioli had a completely different sauce, was under seasoned, the portions were smaller, and the mushrooms on top were rubbery. Our spaghetti squash was so spicy that several guests were unable to eat it, including the mother of the bride. It left guests hungry. Again, to their credit, our late night snack, nachos, were excellent.

TLDR: Location is beautiful, but don't trust that the sales pitch will execute on your actual day, and be wary if you have a smaller wedding.

I'm so glad that 90% of my issues I had with the Hyatt were all behind the scenes and none of my guests really knew about them. My ceremony and reception were held at the Hyatt and the majority of my guests stayed at the Hyatt as well. Every single guest that stayed ALL had issues with getting their rooms clean, including my room. There were a few other discouraging moments. While this issue doesn't necessarily reflect the Hyatt with the banquet and catering, it does reflect as a whole. I'm happy my wedding was wonderful, absolutely beautiful and the grounds made for fantastic photos. I credit this to my vendors that I brought in though. As far as recommending the venue, I won't. I'm really sad about this, as I know my wedding wasn't cheap by any means. Being in the industry I know I could have stretched my dollar more somewhere else but Ive been dreaming of having my wedding here for years. My parents, husband and I were really, really disappointed in the Hyatt. A few of my guests were pretty bummed too. It wasn't what we expected. I have done a few surveys on my wedding and stay with the Hyatt and expressed my concerns and had my email forwarded to the departments I had problems with but I have yet to hear back. I wish I could leave a fabulous review..

OK So I have mixed emotions about this venue. In terms of it being a beautiful place to get married, I loved it, but the staff needs some work. It took so time for my wedding coordinator to respond to our requests and sometimes she completely ignored our wedding planner until we stepped in. She was however available to hound us about the money and getting paid, and I am not the first to complain about that. Other vendors when they found out where we were getting married warned us about how they can be. They lost a package of ours on the day of the wedding because they went to the bathroom and left it outside. they didn't have the correct linens. And they tried to overcharge us for so many items just because we needed a large ballroom. It was way too stressful honestly.

On the up side, it was a fun place to stay at for a weekend get away. I enjoyed the activities and the food was amazing! They we're cordial once we arrived and they were paid, but I had about 3 breakdowns that weekend alone due to the pure stress they applied!

If you want to visit or even go for a vacation, its a great place, but for a wedding, you may find that they are a bit more stubborn that you care to deal with on your wedding day. In the end, it came out ok, but the stress leading up to it was not worth it, at all.

We worked with Kate who was very nice and tried to accommodate us. We loved the venue and wanted to host our 2-day South Asian wedding there. When we asked if there were any available discounts Kate came back to us with a lower quote and we agreed to proceed to contract. She informed us that she could not get the quote approved by her superiors for our peak Sep 25 date (I’m guessing someone else inquired about the date so they wanted to make more money). She said we could shift it to the end of October or end of August for an additional $5k above the quote. We found it very unprofessional that they quoted us a price that they could not commit to and it was unfortunately a waste of time. We booked another venue that was more straightforward with their pricing

Absolutely gorgeous, I'm recently engaged and I would love to have my wedding here.
