  Relaxing Way to Spend the BIG Day!

  On the day of the wedding, myself, my bridesmaids, and the women in my family all got our hair and makeup done at Complexions Spa in Albany. All ten of us had a relaxing morning in their event space lounging on the couches, having a catered breakfast, and taking turns getting done up. It was the perfect way to spend the big day and exactly what I had imagined! Christopher did both my hair and makeup and I truly felt more beautiful than I ever had before. My hair was styled curled and pulled back, surviving the July day and a night full of dancing! I would absolutely recommend the experience to anyone and their party for such a special occasion!

  We had a couples massage two days before the wedding. The staff was exteremely professional and spa was beautiful. They met us with hot tea before the massage. Each of us got a piece of chocolate on the massage table, which we enjoyed immediately. The massage therapists were great. I like a deeper massage then my husband and we both had the right pressure. Plus it really helped us relax with all the running around and excitement. My bridesmaids and I also went there for manicures and pedicures the day before the wedding. The nail room has the pedicure chairs across from the manicure stations. So we were able to talk the whole time. Everyone loved their mani/pedis. I should let you know that one of the appointments did get switch to an hour earlier when they called to confirm. When I called back they fixed the problem and were very appologetic.

  I am a member of Complexsion Spa and enjoy using their sauna frequently. I enjoy each visit and find it relaxing. After hearing about the wedding hair and makeup services provided I decided to try the services. After paying for the services, I had my trial appointment. Complexsion spa wedding coordinator Sarah assigned Chris to be my wedding hair and makeup person. As requested by Sarah I brought pictures of the desired hair style and makeup, along with any accessories and veil desired. At the trail I was not overly impressed with the work, but due to having already paid I decided to give them a try. Chris arrived at the venue as scheduled, but when he arrived he did not have all the required items. He was missing his hair curling set. I offered to let him use mine. He began working and spent around 2 hours doing my hair and makeup. After which, due to not having a mirror to use to observe the progress, I got to see that the work he did was not the requested style discussed at the trial. I looked like an elderly woman. My daughter had stated as much earlier. I had to show him the photos on the Ipad again of the desired style. He said he could "fix" it, and went to work again with only an hour left till the ceremony scheduled start time. After he finished the hair style was more like that requested, and he packed and left. As soon as he left, the hair accessories he placed began to fall out and I had to take time to fix it. The work was mediocre at best, and my veil was not placed either. In short, the work was something I could do, no curls as desired, no veil, and on the day that was supposed to be the most important in my life it started out extremely bad and stressful! to make it worst one of the fake lashes came unglued after the ceremony....He did not remember the hair style, the veil, and did work was what I could do without having paid so much and in less time. I lose interest in seeing the video and photos of my own wedding. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
