We could not recommend House of Clarendon enough!
We could not recommend House of Clarendon enough! Martine was so responsive (which is rare to find!), kind, professional, and clearly passionate about his craft. For our wedding, we had a three-tiered cake, additional backup cake, and platters of cannolis—all of which were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.
Martine even arranged the florals from our florist onto the cake with such care, making it look stunning. He was also incredibly transparent with pricing, helped us stay within budget, and gave honest guidance about quantities without ever trying to oversell us.
The result was a cake that was both breathtaking and delicious, plus desserts that our guests raved about. If you’re looking for a baker for your wedding, we wholeheartedly recommend House of Clarendon! -

10/10 Would Recommend!!!!
We had the best experience working with House of Clarendon and Martine for our recent June wedding! First things first, THE CAKE TASTED AMAAAZZZIINNNNGGGG!! & it of course, looked absolutely amazing too! Martine was very communicative throughout the process and provided us with the most beautiful and delicious Vintage Blueberry Lemon cake of our dreams. Doing our tasting of a million (literally so many combos of flavors that they offer!) different cakes was so fun and allowed us to settle on the perfect flavor combination for us. I ate the cake on the wedding day, for breakfast, and on my drive home. Guests said that it was the best cake they have ever had! Cannot say enough amazing things! Thank you House of Clarendon & thank you Martine! -

Best Cake We've Ever Had!
Martine at House of Clarendon crafted the most exquisite wedding cake we could have imagined. Not only was it beautiful, but it was also absolutely delicious. Martine was wonderful to work with—creative, responsive, and deeply committed to ensuring every detail was perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the cake was. We have and will continue to go back to get his cupcakes as they are perfect. We cannot recommend Martine enough and will continue to go to him for all of our special occasion cakes in the future.

Delicious and great customer service!
We are still receiving compliments on our wedding cupcakes weeks after our wedding!! They were amazing!! We ordered 4 different flavored cupcakes and a small wedding cake from Martine. He was so great to worked with and called often to check in with us leading up to the big day. I would eat those cupcakes every day if I could!! -

Best cake!
My husband doesn't like cake, weird I know. When we went for our consultation with Martine, we immediately fell in love with not only his cakes, but his personality! We sat in his room for over an hour, just talking. His cakes are moist, flavorful, and DELICIOUS! You won't be disappointed! -

Delicious!
We had the pleasure of having Martine make our wedding cake and alllll our many mini desserts. Every single thing was amazing. The cake pops melt in your mouth and I could eat my wedding cake everyday if I could. He had some great ideas and helpful tips since he is a master in this field! -

Beautiful Cake with Amazing Flavor!
Martine and his team are phenomenal! They were extremely flexible with changes that we had to make due to COVID. The cake turned out beautiful and everyone raved about the flavor. I wanted seconds but our guests ate ALL the cake! It was THAT good! We didn't have to worry about saving the top of the cake because they bake another cake for your one-year anniversary!
If you're searching for someone to make a beautiful cake that tastes phenomenal book with House of Clarendon! -

A great choice!
I loved everything about my experience with Martine from cake tasting, update calls and our actual wedding cake (they nailed it BTW). Beautiful Cake That Also Tastes Amazing!
Martine at House of Clarendon made my husband and I the most beautiful cake for our November 2020 wedding! At our initial tasting with Martine, we knew we were in good hands. The flavors he had us sample were amazing and he spent time with us talking about the design of our cake. The final product was even more incredible than we thought! Our cake not only looked beautiful, but was so delicious. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a cake. Thanks to Martine and the House of Clarendon staff! -

July 2020 Wedding
Working with Marteen was a dream come true. I met him at the Best Wedding showcase in Harrisburg and fell in love with his personality and style right away. Their cakes are artistic, beautiful and one of a kind. Marteen is 100% organized, professional and was so helpful to us with rescheduling due to COVID 19. He made sure our cake was delivered and set up without any issues. The cake was delicious and the guests loved it. The cake turned out exactly the way I imagined, it looked like a work of art sculpted from marble. I saw that is is on their instragram and cried when I saw it again. Love, love loved it! -

Delicious most stunning cake
Martine and his team killed it! We had a design meeting to construct our dream cake and taste their flavors. They use fondant which I was hesitant about, however in the tasting I got to see how thin it is and did not take away from the cake at all! He was so flexible and non-judgmental when we had to modify our designs to fit our budget. Added bonus- since he hosts the Dream Weddings reality TV show he gave us TONS of advice on everything wedding related, it was like having a second wedding planner! -

Designing our wedding cake was one part we were very excited for! Martine presented us with many options and helped us create a unique wedding cake that included everything we wanted. House of Clarendon very recently made a German Bienenstich cake for my wedding, and it was perfect. The staff learned a new recipe to bake the cake, and I appreciated that very much! The cake was beautiful and delicious. The guests at our wedding all commented that they never had a cake like that and enjoyed it very much. Many compliments to the baker! I would not hesitate to order another cake from House of Clarendon! -

Our cake was so beautiful! Martine helped us design our cake from scratch to match our personalities. When he delivered it he took a video and posted it on Instagram which captured how amazing the cake was for our venue and theme. We loved the taste of our cake and had nothing left to take home even though we had more slices then guests. WE can't wait for our anniversary cake in a year from now! -

House of Clarendon made us an amazing cake for our wedding! We were pleased with the planning process and Martine was responsive to all our questions. When the cake was delivered, it looked amazing. There was one small thing forgotten but no one noticed but me and it didn't affect the overall aesthetic of the cake. Martine was flexible when we added flowers to the cake in the last minute. Overall, working with House of Clarendon was a great experience and we were very pleased with our wedding cake! -

I am obsessed with cake, so I knew going into this part of wedding planning was extremely important! Martine not only makes beautiful wedding cakes, they taste absolutely amazing too! Oh my goodness where do I begin. Martine at the house of Clarendon gave us the most beautiful cake we didn't even know we wanted. I went in with a vision of what I thought I was looking for and left with a design of something even better. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was so so good! (Hello lavender lemon cake?!) They even worked with our florist to make sure she received the pieces she needed without me having to do anything which was a god send. They took care of rentals, set up and transportation and I could not be more grateful. -

Martine's work is awesome. He can do so much, but he made us an awesome, simple, gold cake just like I wanted. And...it tasted AMAZING! We had our slice at our wedding, then had more the next day. We froze half and am looking forward to eating it on our anniversary. -

The House of Clarendon did a fantastic job at making our wedding cake. I had visited 3 or 4 different cake bakers and could not find somebody that I really liked. After expressing my frustration to one of my bridesmaids she HIGHLY recommended that I give Martine at The House of Clarendon a call; he had made her wedding cake a few years prior.
Before calling him, I visited his Facebook page to see some of his creations and was blown away by the beautiful cakes that he designs!! They are so much more than just a cake! They truly are a piece of artwork!
Without even coming out to sample the cake, I knew he was the baker I wanted to hire for our wedding!
Martine is such a great guy who is very easy to work with and knows his stuff. I picked out a picture of one of the cake designs that I liked on his page and also sent him a photo of my wedding dress. He took the things I liked the most about the picture and custom designed our cake to incorporate elements from both the picture and my wedding dress!!
Everything turned out gorgeous and my guests raved about both the design and taste of the cake! PERFECTION!!
I highly recommend giving them a call if you are looking for a cake baker who not only makes delicious tasting cakes but also takes pride in creating the look and design to fulfill what you personally envision at your special event!! -

We absolutely love the House of Clarendon! Working with Martine was wonderful! I love how honest he was when discussing our options. We chose to do pink champagne cupcakes, a pink champagne bride/groom cake, and buttlered desserts of espresso bars, lemon tarts, cake pops and petite fours. The cupcakes were also very delicious. Martine Cajas is professional, very responsive and customer always comes first. He gave us great ideas for the wedding and I like the fact they give you a free 1 year anniversary cake. -

Martine also designed the most amazing groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner (the groom chose a Star Wars "Death Star" cake). The detail on this 3-D cake was so incredible. We went to see Martine at the House of Clarendon, and I was very nervous, since this is a cake boutique and I did not want to spend $1,000's of dollars on a wedding cake;it was not a priority nor was it in my budget at all. We sat down with Martine and explained to him that we wanted a simple wedding cake, since everything was a DIY wedding and I had made my cake topper for it already. He loved my idea with me crafting everything myself for the wedding, and loved my cake topper and suggested a style and type of cake that would work for us, also because it was an outdoor wedding too, that does make a difference! He went over some different options that we could add to the cake, or leave as simple as possible. I was surprised, he was very down to earth and totally respected our budget and worked with us on that. We also tried different options of cakes (which were all delicious!) and decided to go with french vanilla. So, your perfect wedding cake is NOT out of reach, go see Martine and he can make it happen! -

Martine. Oh where do we begin?! We fell in love with Martine the moment we met him. His spunky personality outshined all of the other cake decorators we met. I showed him a few cakes I thought were pretty on Pinterest and he wasn't afraid to tell me what he liked and what he thought were hideous. Within an hour, we created the most beautiful and perfect cake for us! We decided to go with the pink champagne flavor cake with french vanilla creme. We couldn't have been happier with the cake on the day of our wedding. It was absolutely stunning. And it tasted just as good as it looked! Several people told us they never tasted a better cake at a wedding before! We do wish we would've had the cake in the center of reception venue for all of our guests to see when they first walked in because many people didn't get to see it in the cake nook. We are already excited to celebrate our 1 year anniversary so we can get our free small anniversary cake to share together! Bravo! is all I can say about the wedding cake that Martine designed and House of Clarenden created to match the lines and flower on my wedding dress! Beyond imagination. Beyond expectation! Ours was a small wedding, our cake a three-tier-cake with three different flavors. Delivered from Lancaster to Mount Joy in a snowstorm, House of Clarendon's cake received oohs and aahs from our guests. After dinner, we found that the fondant was "melt in your mouth" delicious and the cake flavors unbelievably scrumptuous! The folks at House of Clarendon are generous, accommodating folks who will make the cake of your dreams. This is my #1 choice for cakes in Lancaster, PA. -

We worked with Martine at House of Clarendon all along the way in the wedding planning process. The cake was a focal point for us and all of our other vendors gave us glowing recommendations for Martine. From the tasting through the delivery of the wedding cake and groom's cake, everything that we purchased from House of Clarendon was perfection! During our planning period, we also purchased cupcakes for two bridal showers, a graduation cake and a birthday cake. Each one was spectacular! Martin was AMAZING to work with. From our first meeting, my mom and I LOVED him. He is super fun to work with, and his artistic vision is incredible. I walked into his studio, which was incredibly beautiful by the way, with no idea what I wanted in my wedding cake. I showed him a few pictures of my dress, and created an incredibly beautiful sketch of what he would do for a cake for me. The tasting was awesome as well, everything we ate was moist and delicious!
When the actual wedding came, the cake was BEAUTIFUL! I got so many complements on it, and the 5 different flavors I chose all got rave reviews from guests. Everyone was fighting to take home the leftovers at the end of the night, not that there were many!! And the cherry on top is going to be when we go and get our anniversary cake in a year that Martin includes in the price of the cake! Thank you SO much Martin and everyone at House of Clarendon! -

On top of that his cakes taste amazing. I normally do not even like sweets and I could eat his cakes all day. They are by far the best tasting cakes and desserts out there. He is a true perfectionist as well and he personally came to set up our dessert bar and cake to make sure it was perfect and set up to his very high standards. I cannot say enough about Martine Cajas. The cake he designed for our daughter's wedding was a true work of art. He printed a picture of her wedding dress and the floral design on the cake matched perfectly. I could not imagine a more beautiful cake. She and our new son-in-law chose pink champagne cake and icing. It was as delicious as it was beautiful. Perfect, moist, and appealed to each and every guest's taste. Martine provides a 1 year anniversary cake, so there's no freezing the top layer and trying to revive it a year later! He also convinced our son-in-law NOT to rent navy tuxes and to go with gray suits and it was a perfect choice. 10/10 -

I have been a client of House of Clarendon for over 9 years now, when they did my wedding cake. I've also known Martine (owner of House of Clarendon) for this long too. Since then I only get my cakes from House of Clarendon, whether it's for my little girl's birthday parties, Easter or New Year's Eve. I'm reviewing here the gorgeous cake Martine designed for my daughter's quinceañera (equestrian theme). I'm always challenging House of Clarendon with unique party themes, and they always deliver a top notch design and flavorful cake (Our favorite is the chocolate cake with dalmatian filling). Martine helped me create the unique equestrian cake stand we used to hold the topper cake. He's chock full of ideas, always listens to his client and his cakes never disappoints. Not only did he help me design my dream wedding cake, but was very helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process as well. His creative, artistic influence is apparent in his cake designs. The first time I met Martine I knew that I wanted House of Clarendon to create my wedding cake. He knows everything about weddings and I loved that he cared about the total vision. Tasting cake flavors and designing the cake was a blast! The cake was designed to match the details on my wedding gown and it was so beautiful that I didn't want to cut it when it was time. Our guests raved about the flavor of the cake and loved that we had a different flavor for each tier of the cake. We had French vanilla with French vanilla cream (our favorite), white velvet with strawberry filling, and red velvet with cream cheese filling. When I first started attending bridal shows, I was overwhelmed by all of the different cakes. When I attended my first lancaster bridal show, I came across House of Clarendon's cake setup and I was in awe! I told my wedding planner right then and there that was who I wanted to make my cake! Because of the absolutely amazing cakes that they had on display, I thought for sure it was going to be a fortune to use them, but to my surprise, they were cheaper then some other places had quoted us! I already knew what I wanted the cake to look like and I showed a picture to Martine who added his own style and twist to it. He provided us with many different options and opinions and we absolutely loved him! He was super nice, but also professional and definitely knew what he was talking about! When we did the cake tasting, we didn't want to stop eating! The apricot is to die for (and I'm not usually an apricot fan)! We did have one issue where sparkles got put on the flower petals when it wasn't supposed to be, but Martine called us, asked us to come in and check out because he wanted to make sure that we loved what we were paying for. He was super nice about it and said that he would do the petals all over again if he had to. Luckily, I actually loved them with the sparkles so it all worked out! Our cake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious! I keep staring at the pictures of it, still amazed that it looks exactly as I had always pictured it! Thank you Martine & House of Clarendon! -

We bought our wedding cake from House of Clarendon when Julie Bashore was still the owner, but I remember the current owner Martine was working there at the time. Julie was very nice to work with, and even though I forgot to return the mirror piece that my cake was delivered on, she was very understanding and didn't charge me extra for it even though I had offered and she had to have a new one cut. I also had expressed concern about not having enough cake with the one that was already made (nervous bride syndrome I guess) and on her own made us an extra cake just in case we would not have enough and if I remember correctly I don't even think she charged us for it! We did end up having more than enough, some of the guests didn't end up eating any of the cake (which shocked me) but even still we had PLENTY of cake. I was impressed with the flavor, quality, the design, the customer service, and I know all that was passed down to Martine. I recently went back to order an anniversary cake (our favorite flavor from the wedding cake was the popular French Vanilla with raspberry mousse) and Martine was very helpful and very reasonable. He wanted to try to keep the cost of my cake low and do what would work best for me and my husband's anniversary (it was just a cake for me and my husband). I cannot tell you how much I love and appreciate the House of Clarendon! They have been great to work with! -

Martine and his staff are wonderful! The cake tasted and looked amazing! Our first appointment with Martine was a lot of fun! You can tell he is very passionate about his job and weddings. He gives great advice not only about the cake but with other areas of the wedding. I didn't have to worry about the cake delivery on the day of the wedding at all. The cake was breathtaking! When it was time to cut the cake, tons of my guests asked if the cake was even real because it was too beautiful to eat - they are still talking about it! I am a graphic designer so I am rather picky when it comes to designs. I put the ball in Martine's court to design the cake for me. I was blown away with the results. I had a four tier cake and loved that I was able to pick 4 different flavors for each tier. My guests loved the different flavor choices as well.

House of Clarendon made both the cake for our wedding and the grooms cakes. Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning and everyone was in awe of how beautiful it was. It was modeled after my wedding dress and was gorgeous. It was also delicious!! We chose several different flavors and loved them all! Martine was a pleasure to work with and the cake was amazing.
The grooms cakes were designed by Tanya - 1 being modeled after Las Vegas/Gambling and 1 being modeled after the 4 Philly sports teams for my sports fanatic husband. They turned out awesome and everyone at rehearsal was extremely impressed by the designs as well as how good the cake was.
We were extremely happy with how all of the cakes turned out and cannot thank the House of Clarendon enough - everything was perfect!! -

My Cake was the best wedding cake I've ever eaten! I found them at a bridal expo while scouting with my friend for her wedding and decided right then and there if I ever got married they were where I wanted to get my wedding cake. Two years later I was sitting in their bakery choosing from their many delectable flavors. I have had many a dry wedding cake in my day and their cakes are just melt in your mouth delicious. Also I brought them a photo from a magazine of what I wanted my wedding cake to look like and they replicated it perfectly! They even decorated my grooms cake impecably! I loved working with them and would highly recomend them for the perfect wedding cake! -

I first met Martine at a bridal show about a year before my wedding. When looking for vendors I not only looked for high quality but also a personality I could work with. Martine was wonderful and so charismatic! It's no wonder he is the host of Dream Weddings! When I saw his work at the show I was stunned. It was masterful artwork. Then I noticed the 'W' sitting on top of the cake he had there and knew it was a sign (since my new last name would be Weller). I met with him about 6 months prior to my wedding to go over what I was looking for even though I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I came with some pictures that I wasn't crazy about but thought they would be okay. He completely threw those awful pictures aside and came up with an idea by asking me and my fiance questions. The sketch he came up with was perfect and better than anything I could have found anywhere else. I was so satisfied with the cake at the wedding. It was gorgeous and I was SO sad to cut into the soft fondant of his masterpiece. The flavors were delicious. We chose chocolate, vanilla, and mango! Yum!! I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary to get our anniversary cake which is included. Fresh cake beats frozen cake any day! -

I had the pleasure of working with Martine on two cakes for my wedding weekend! The first cake was for Friday evening, and was a surprise hamburger groom's cake! My husband was so surprised (Martine and I had to keep a big secret!) and everyone loved it! We were so impressed by this 3-D cake and how life-like it looked!
Our wedding cake was the other cake Martine, my husband and I worked together to create! Our wedding theme was a Victorian Garden, and our cake had to match! Martine incorporated so many details that would reflect the Victorian Era and also important details my husband and I wanted to use, such as our "P" monogram! Everyone loved the different flavors and kept complimenting the beauty of the cake! And, as other's posted on here, the best part is that we get to re-live this (fresh) tasty creation on our first wedding anniversary! Thanks again to Martine and the staff at House of Clarendon for creating two amazing cakes that made our weekend so much more special and memorable! -

My cake was absolutely beautiful. I LOVE wedding cakes and finding one that was over the top was my mission and Martine made that so easy. He made a beautiful classic white cake look romantic and timeless yet everyone complimented at how beautiful the cake was and especially how delicious! Everyone said that our wedding was the best that they have ever been to! All of our vendors did such a wonderful job and made our day one to remember. My husband and i had looked high and low to find a great cake vendor, because i do cakes and cupcakes myself, so to find someone that had cake that my husband liked as much as he likes mine was really hard. we had looked that HOC's web site and saw all the beautiful cakes and thought that they were going to be way to expensive for our budget but we scheduled an appt anyway. the moment we tasted the cakes my husband looked at me and said "i think i found a cake that i like better than yours" i was sold i told them to write up the bill cause we found our cake!
When i saw it at the reception i was blown away at how beautiful it was i did not want to cut it and eat it i just wanted to freeze it and keep it! Like most brides i did not get to eat my cake but the reception had it boxed up for me and i ate it the next day and it tasted just as good as the small bite i had when we cut the cake!
Oh yeah....do you not have to keep and freeze your cake to eat on your 1 year....because they bake a fresh one for you for your 1 year! How cool is that!?! -

I can't say enough good things about Martine.The cake is OUT of this WORLD!!!! Each tier was different because there were so many delicious options to choose from (also no extra charge). Our guests raved about the cake, and I don't remember how many people said it was the best cake they've ever tasted. It also looked absolutely incredible. No one could believe the calla lilies were made out of sugar because they looked so real!! His work is clean and perfect- I could not find a fault with this cake. Martine-and his cakes- are worth their weight in gold and worth every penny!!!!!!! -

Martine is just awesome to begin with but he makes your final product a work of art. I went in there looking for something different and unique and had some ideas but wasn't positive on exactly what I was looking for. After about 2 hours of talking back and forth he had the brilliant idea to make the cake an all black fondant quilted/beaded cake with a damask ribbon around the bottom. It was absolutely GORGEOUS! I also requested him make a Flyers cake for a grooms cake as a surprise for my husband and that too was over the top. -

I'm so glad we met Martin. When we came in for our consultation he treated us like he had known us for years, just by asking few questions about ourselves he knew exactly what we wanted!! We went for a cake that had the same design that was on our wedding invitations, the design on the cake was JUST like the ones on the invitations-perfect! The flavor was just as good. Loved it!!! -

My daughter got married on July 24, 2010. The House of Clarendon created her cake and it was truly amazing! Our guests were in awe! They were taking pictures until the cake was cut and eaten! We spent a little more that we had planned on the cake, but to me it was worth every penny. Martine has such a passion for his work he made the whole experience so enjoyable. My husband and I got married in Jamaica and had a reception a month later. Martine created a cake to match our Carribean/beach style. I knew years before I was even engaged I wanted my wedding cake from the House of Clarendon. Working with Martine Cajas was a wonderful experience. He is the most talented, patient, unbelievably creative person I�ve ever met. Martine not only helped me design my beautiful wedding cake, he assisted me with the planning of my wedding as well. Martine and the House of Claredon.... WOW! Martine is a fun, creative and a kind individual. He made our cake designing exerience so memorable. He was so great to work with, easy going without being careless of our time and always treated us with respect. The cake he created for us was amazing and one of best things I have ever eaten! Not only is the cake itself super delicious (which there are tons of cake and filling flavors to choose from) but he truely tries to give the cake personality and that something extra. Where when you look at the cake you think to yourself I don't know if I can eat that, its so beautiful! But then when you take a bite, you think is there anyway I can eat this whole thing right now?

Martine was great! We did our tasting with him first and he set the bar way too high. No other bakers in the area could match up. He used all fresh ingredients, compared to some bakers that were using mixes enriched with extra spring water and eggs. His cakes were delicious! We were able to pick a different flavor for each tier of cake at no additional cost. You definitely get a very unique cake, that is too delicious. And, at your one year anniversary you get a freshly baked cake. The cake was one of the things I was most looking forward to on my wedding day, and for good reason. I HIGHLY recommend Martine to do any cakes for any occasion. -

The House of Clarendon makes GREAT cakes. They taste AMAZING!! They are so light and full of flavor. We love their cakes. My husband used to get cakes from their with his family when they were younger and when we were planning our wedding he said that he wanted to go there for our cake. So we went to the House of Clarendon and our tasting was so good. Martine was so friendly and outgoing and gave us the cake we wanted; it was so cute looking and went GREAT with the theme of our wedding. It is a little expensive BUT SO WORTH THE MONEY!! I would recommend this place to everyone I know...their cakes are AMAZING!! I would definitely go back and get another cake from him again!! -
