Heidi truly was the best photographer I could have asked for.

Heidi has a wonderful eye for capturing people in his or her most natural state, thus giving the viewer the true essence of that particular moment in time. We hired Heidi to be our wedding photographer, and she also took our engagement photos. I highly recommend to anyone getting their wedding photos done by Heidi, to do this as well. It was nice for my husband and I to meet her prior to the wedding so we could both get to know one another. As there was time for her to learn our background story; how we met, fell in love, and what traits we liked about one another.
I am not the most comfortable in front of the camera, but Heidi made me look like a natural on film. She is so kind and easy to be around that I hardly noticed that she was holding a camera. Hence, it was easy for me to be myself and not worry about what the pictures were going to look like.
On our wedding day, she paid a lot of attention to capturing all of the details that I had put so much time into planning, but are hard to take in at the time because of so much going on. That alone, was priceless to me. In addition, she captured each and every one of my husband and I's special moments, from the "first look", to saying our vows to one another, to the elation we had as we walked down the aisle as husband and wife.
There is always a lot going on at a wedding, and it is hard to fit everything in that you want. Which is why it was so nice to have a photographer that I could trust completely to do an exceptional job and be able to capture the magic of the day that I will look back on for years to come and be able to show to my children one day.

Heidi was amazing! Easy to makes plan with, prompt and professional. She got excellent candid and posed portraits, none of which felt forced or awkward, we couldn't be happier with our photos!

Heidi was fantastic! I was a fairly anxious bride and Heidi's super calm demeanor really put me at ease. And I absolutely adored the photos she made of the wedding. She did a great job capturing all the group and portrait shots I asked for as well as documenting the small details and most importantly capturing the candid moments of the wedding and reception. Highly recommended!

Hiring Heidi was the best decision we could have possibly made for our engagement and wedding photos. Not only is she professional, friendly and fun, but....she is extremely talented and takes amazing photos. She is an expert at capturing the emotion of the day and has mastered the art of candid photos, as well as, structured ones. I would hire Heidi again in a heartbeat and you won't regret hiring her for your special day!

I was so excited when I came across Heidi while searching for a wedding photographer. I loved the authentic, candid style of her photos. So many wedding photos feel a bit too posed for our taste, we wanted something that felt more true to ourselves and Heidi was just perfect!

She was friendly, patient and professional in the 50+ emails I must have sent her leading up to the big day.

Heidi had a relaxed happy energy that made my husband and I much more comfortable in front of the camera, which we usually aren't. She did a great job of catching all the little details and happy candid photos I got excited about seeing while planning our own wedding, and am just thrilled with how beautifully she captured the day!

On the wedding day, she arrived early and was very flexible with our crunched timeline. She was even kind enough to stay a little late to catch sparkler photos. She also politely checked in with me throughout the evening to see when we planned to do certain things so she could be in the right place, which also reminded me what to do next. This was extremely helpful as I didn't have a wedding coordinator and kept forgetting to mind the timeline we had put together in advance.

After the event she worked extremely quickly and had our finished photos ready in about two weeks! I look forward to revisiting these photos over the years to help us refresh our memories of that day! I wholeheartedly recommend Heidi!

Heidi is not only extremely laid back and easy to work with, her ability to capture the important moments throughout your wedding is flawless. Every stolen kiss, every personal moment I would have wanted photographed was. She is the master of candid shots, something that was very important to me. She captures the experience, not a bunch of predetermined shots (although we have some of those too!). Couldn't have been happier.

It was great working with Heidi, both for our engagement photos and wedding photos. We were a little nervous to take engagement photos since you aren't really doing anything (like you are on the wedding day). However, Heidi made it a very comfortable experience. She guided us in what to do, but not to the point that we looked staged. The best thing about our photos was that they looked natural.

On our wedding day, Heidi took photographs from many different perspectives; yet, I do not remember seeing her a bunch. She was able to sneak in and out of places and get some really amazing shots. What I love about Heidi's photos is that they do not have too much photoshop work. This makes the people really stand out, in their true beauty. I am very happy with the results!

One of my favorite things from the wedding is the slideshow that Heidi made for us which has two songs from our wedding (the one that I walked down the aisle to and our first dance song).
I will be able to keep this video forever! It's also an easy way to share a bunch of photos with friends and family.

Also, Heidi's personalized memory stick is awesome!

Heidi was incredibly easy to work with throughout the wedding process. With a large family with varying levels of friendliness, she coaxed a portrait plan from me and came up with great follow up questions and suggestions. She helped me be excited about the possibilities with terrific questions, but no stress.

The wedding day, Heidi was present but not obtrusive. I LOVED how she let moments unfold instead of staging them. She's like a ninja in her ability to sneak up on a moment. As a result, everyone focused on the wedding ceremony, not on the photographer doing backflips in aisle. The photographs reflected both stunning formal photographs and tons of candid, intimate scenes. Each photograph begs a story, brings back memories, and makes me smile.

Heidi truly provides an amazing talent for capturing your wedding. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

There are not enough wonderful things to be said about Heidi Hoffman Photography! Heidi was the first photographer my now-husband and I met with--just two weeks after we got engaged--and after meeting with her, we knew we need not bother meeting with anyone else. Heidi is so laid-back and easy-going--a stressed bride's dream--while still being professional and responsive. Her photojournalistic style was perfect for our tastes, since we both hate the over-styled, over-Photoshopped "look" popular with so many wedding photographers these days. Heidi doesn't need all that fluff, because she has an eye for how to make things look amazing, naturally.

Working with her leading up to the wedding was a breeze, and on our wedding day, we didn't even notice her there--but she was everywhere, all at once, and boy did we get a lot of great pictures! Plus, Heidi's packages are very competitively priced, and are an amazing value for all the great pictures you get.

After our wedding, we also did a "newlywed" shoot with her in late fall, which generated even more simply ah-mazing photos. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Heidi in the years to come, and cannot recommend her enough!

We hired Heidi Hoffman as our wedding photographer in September. She was incredibly pleasant to work with. We chose to work with her after interviewing many photographers. It was clear right away that she would put our family and guests at ease, not to mention the two of us! Heidi had such a perfect sense of how to get the photos that we wanted while not intruding on the day at all.

We opted for an 8 hour package, which resulted in just about 600 photos. We received a disc that had the photos both in print-ready and online format. Our posed family shots took 15-20 minutes. Heidi had asked us to provide her with a list of all of the groups that we wanted ahead of time so that no one was forgotten. In addition, she asked us a lot of questions about what kind of pictures we wanted for the day.

We absolutely love our photos! The ceremony pictures are great, as she got many close-up shots, but also did a great job of capturing the gorgeous scenery of our venue.

After the ceremony, Heidi was everywhere, capturing some great candid shots during cocktail hour, and we never sensed that she was there. I really appreciated her ability to get great shots without getting in everyone's faces.

Some of my favorite photos are of the toasts, not a place that I had even considered photos. She took some great shots of the people speaking, and got time-lapse type photos of our reactions. Every time I look at those, I get choked up, remembering what was said to get that laugh or tear. They are very special pictures.

I can't recommend Heidi highly enough. I have already been suggesting her to friends. She was fantastic to work with. It was kind of sad to say goodbye to her that night because she was so fun to have around.
Work with her! She is great!!

If you're thinking about having Heidi photograph your wedding, stop thinking and just do it. You will not be disappointed. She's just incredible.

Her photos are amazing. She was never in the way, but was able to capture every special and candid moment. Getting her pictures were like reliving the day all over again, which was exactly what I had hoped for.

Plus, Heidi is an awesome person. She has such a kind, calm, and fun presence, she helped put everyone at ease.

Best of all, Heidi really seems to enjoy what she does. She noticed, and photographed, all the little details and touches of the wedding. She got every picture I had hoped for (and so many more), without me ever having to ask or think about it.

I would recommend Heidi without any hesitation to photograph your special event. I'm so glad I found her for mine.

There is a picture Heidi took at our wedding that captures all of the emotion and joy we felt that day. Her ability to grab a stolen moment, when you think no one is around, produces memories of that day that normal wedding photographers simply can't give you. The work is exceptional and Heidi is professional, pleasant, and creative. She has a way of blending into the background and getting the best photos of not just the bride and groom, but of everyone. We now have pictures of friends and family that are truly the best we've ever seen, so the work is so much more than just bland wedding photography. It is the art of capturing moments in time and she is the best I've ever seen.

Heidi is fantastic in every way! I highly recommend her not only for her beautiful photos but for her lovely self. We liked Heidi immediately and felt very comfortable with her. She is very personable but also very professional. We especially liked her journalistic approach. Not only is her photography beautiful, but she captures genuine emotions and moments. This was especially important since neither my husband nor I are particularly fond of having our picture taken and we did not want a lot of posed pictures. We wanted someone who was low key, friendly, unobtrusive and documented the experience of our wedding. And in Heidi we got exactly that; we are absolutely thrilled with the results! The day of the wedding she seemed to be everywhere at once, and yet so stealth, many people didn't even realize we had a photographer! And she was such a lovely, calm and fun presence during the few posed photographs we did take; she put us completely at ease. Heidi captured our wedding day perfectly: the mood, the emotions, the beauty, the love, the friendship: all so beautifully! Heidi photographed my sister-in-laws wedding in Sept 2011 and did an absolutely amazing job. My husband and I were engaged at that time and inquired about Heidi’s services for our engagement photos as well as our wedding day. Unfortunately, she was only available to take our engagement photos since she already had a prior event that was already booked on our actual wedding day. During our engagement photos, she made my husband and I feel so comfortable and at ease. It’s not every day that you meet a photographer that goes out of her way to truly find out the story behind the love that you and your partner share and where it came from. We had a 2-4 hour session in beautiful Silverton, OR and she took unbelievable pictures that we used on our wedding day. And, to top it all off, she got our photos back to us within a couple days of the session. She was extremely friendly, efficient and definitely a professional in her field. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a phenomenal photographer!

I used Heidi for my New Year's Eve wedding in Milwaukee, WI, and was nothing but impressed. There are things you wouldn't think about with a photographer, like when a photographer wears heels and you can hear them clomp around. With Heidi, she was like a ninja! She was very unobtrusive, people didn't notice her getting amazing shots, which I really appreciated. She was very flexible with working with me to get the shots I really wanted. Her timing to get the images back to me was very impressive. I've had friends with photographer horror stories, and photography is not a place to try an save some money. Overall, Heidi was professional, on time, and caught the most magical pictures. She's amazing!

We met Heidi at a wedding show and really liked that she focused on you remembering the moment, not when she was posing you. With a background in photojournalism, she is not a traditional photographer...she is so much more. We sat through a fashion show and then I knew that if we didn't book her, I'd be sorry.
We decided to get our engagement photos with her first because we wanted to get to know her better and get used to the idea of having our pictures taken. She was wonderful and caught some amazing pictures that everyone loved. Later in the summer, we went to her place and recorded an interview for use in a wedding DVD and she was so welcoming and made it easy.
Having just seen our wedding proofs, I can assure you she is amazing. That day, she was all over the place but today I thought, "oh! I didn't know she caught that....or that....or that interaction"...she worked her tail off that day and the pictures show that. She catches people's real reactions and looks and while we had some of the tradional shots, she let us be silly too.
Heidi has a lovely disposition and is extrememely talented. We plan to use her for anniversary pictures and anything else we might need a photographer for. Her prices are reasonable and fair and you will be thrilled with her work!

We chose Heidi from a shortlist of photographers whose work we liked, but when it came time to meet in person, she was easily the most accessible, and the most relaxed, and came with the least schtick and sales pitch. All of our questions got natural, precise answers.

So Heidi it was.

Day-of, she really was perfect, because in all the flurry of getting ready, she was present and active without being noticeable, and interjected much-appreciated "lets get some more pictures of that" and everything would stop, everyone could breath, and we all got to relax for a few seconds.

The pictures are everything they wanted, which was a simple "No kitsch." They're perfect in every way, and exceptionally well-edited. Very journalistic, very much about the story of coming together, and elegant without being blunt.

Not that we'll ever need a wedding photographer, but Heidi would absolutely be out pick. We wanted a photographer, and we got a new friend.

Heidi was an amazing photographer to work with at our wedding! She was laid back, funny, and friendly with the bridal party and other guests, making everyone feel comfortable. The pictures she took were absolutely beautiful! She captured our special day in a way that no one else could have. We look at the pictures constantly to relive our wedding day. I would recommend Heidi's services to anyone looking for a caring, thoughtful, talented photographer to document their special event. My wife and I hired Heidi to capture our wedding weekend images, as we were particularly drawn to her ability to tell stories through her photography. Be sure to ask her about her Love Story! We received our photos about two weeks after the wedding and her work did not disappoint. We have an incredible assortment of beautiful images from our wedding that not only show us what happened, but tell a real story of our event and our love. Heidi was professional, timely, organized and very, very easy to work with even in the heat of the wedding itself. She has a knack of making people feel comfortable who are not normally comfortable in front of a camera (my Dad!) and we will definitely use her services again in the future. Heidi was such a great addition to our wedding day! Every time I thought, "That would make a great pic," I turned around, and there she was! Weddings can be wonderfully extravagant, but let's face it - only the ring, the spouse and the photos will still be around 5, 10, 15+ years after the event (if you're lucky). If you choose Heidi Hoffman, you can scratch photographs off that list and focus on the other two, because she is a rare combination of skill and professionalism with a personable touch that made it an absolute pleasure to work with her. Leading up to the wedding, Heidi was great to work with and always flexible with our every-changing hectic schedule. On the day of the event, she was everywhere at once - but so unobtrusive that I had so many guests wonder if I had even hired a photographer. Her group and family photos were quick and efficient - and spectacular. It took her several seconds to take shots that I've seen other photographers take over and over and over... Heidi's photo-journalistic style of taking wedding pictures meant that every moment of joy, excitement and happiness was captured in a beautiful candid fashion that means my wife and I can relive our great day time and again. My wife and I were so pleased with Heidi's work that we would recommend her services as a photographer to anyone. Hands down, she was the best vendor at our wedding and the greatest value.

Heidi and her team were wonderful and incredibly accommodating! She made us feel comfortable and appreciated. I think I even saw her tear up once or twice. :) She and Joe were very genuine and sweet to work with, oh and they take amazing pictures too!

Heidi Hoffman was a fantastic photographer to work with because she was easy to work with and also provided great ideas for shots. She is very responsive and will call/email/text to follow up on things that you are wondering about. The products that she provides are personalized and professional (for example, I was very surprised to find in our DVD package that Heidi had included a personalized note that summarized her experience with us and information about other services that she provides). Finally on the photography, we're just a normal looking couple and she made us look amazing, which I think is a good litmus test to know that you have a good photographer!

I love Heidi! I could go on and on about how talented she is, but really, her photography speaks for itself. She is so personable, easy to work with, flexible and kind. I knew I wanted to work with her for our wedding long before we ran into her at the Salem Bridal Show. I had seen a lot of her work through the weddings of mutual friends in addition to her online portfolio and her photojournalistic style was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. She gets to know her couples and is able to capture and translate that into the most amazing set of engagement and wedding photographs. I will treasure these photos forever and will always go back to her for any major life event that needs a good set of pictures to go along with it :)
