My husband & I got married in Carmel at the Pine Inn. December 16, 2023. We had a very small intimate evening wedding. Before the ceremony as I waited outside with my father and granddaughter who was my ‘Best Girl’, Heidi came out to meet me and instruct us on how to proceed for the wedding. Her husband was our officiant. I knew within 5 seconds everything would be phenomenal.
Heidi captured everything. She made us all feel completely comfortable and had a great eye for detail.
Our most favorite picture, everyone who has seen it says it looks like it belongs on a magazine cover. I cannot stop looking at the pictures.
I cannot thank her enough for capturing our special moments. We felt like we were the only ones in the world.
Heidi was so warm & funny. She felt like family.
If we ever go back to Carmel, for our anniversary, I hope to have her capture more moments for us. Phenomenal!! She’s absolutely phenomenal!! -

We chose to work with Heidi for our beach wedding on April 15th. From the moment we spoke prior to the wedding I felt a special connection with her. Heidi is so fun to talk to! Planning with her was a breeze and eliminated any stress up to the big day related to photography. The wedding was a dream. From the moment Heidi arrived it was pure perfection. Her assistant Val was with her for the day and both of them are just so sweet, professional, creative, and helpful! Heidi's attention to detail and skill truly shine through in not just her photos but in how she works with you to achieve her vision. It was comfortable, fun, and made me feel like a beautiful princess on my wedding day. I truly cannot say enough good things about Heidi. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous and I am just so pleased the whole experience! -

My wife, Victoria, and I had our wedding last year and working with Heidi was a dream. She is such a wonderful person; I am glad that we were introduced to her during our engagement shoot because it put many of our worries at ease with how much direction she gave us in posing and positioning for the shoot. Communicating with Heidi for the engagement shoot and while working towards our wedding day was great, she responds promptly and, in many cases, emailed us answering questions that we didn’t know we had.
During the day of the wedding Heidi was sure to do everything in her power to keep us on time and comfortable. We loved that she helped us create a photo to do list before the event, and then helped us complete that list efficiently. There was so much happening (and 3 levels to the venue) but looking back at the photos, it seems like Heidi and her assistants were present everywhere and didn’t miss a moment!
We have no regrets having Heidi photograph our wedding; she is such a brilliant photographer and an even more wonderful person. Whenever we need a photographer for another important life event, she will definitely be our first stop. Thank you so much to Heidi and her team!

Heidi was absolutely fantastic!
Her talent in catching beautiful, natural moments in photos was amazing.
It was an extremely, cool windy day for the ceremony and somehow she was able to get some excellent shots. She spent a lot more time than ever expected with us after the ceremony capturing more photos, The whales breaching in the ocean behind us was unbelievable!
We highly recommend her for any type of event.

I normally abhor my photo being taken but Heidi made the entire process so incredibly fun. She has a keen eye for details and poses that make for very memorable photos. However, the best part of working with her is that she embraced my husband and I just being ourselves and completely let it happen. Her kindness and relaxed nature made it so that we felt very easy in showcasing our relationship in photos during our wedding. The other best part is that Heidi is so familiar with the area and has all of the permits that she is able to venture out into different landscapes to fully capture the gorgeous, natural backdrop. She also had us laughing the entire time, while still remaining very serious about the quality of her work. If nothing else about my experience is indicative of her abilities, please know that every vendor I told I was working with Heidi absolutely lit up with excitement that she would be our photographer. She has been an absolute joy to work with. -

Heidi photographed an engagement shoot in Monterey and our wedding in Big Sur. She has several backup plans for locations depending on the conditions outside to get the best and most stunning photos. She has excellent communication, gets photos to you fast, and has fun shooting. We have nothing negative to say about Heidi or her work. Thank you for making our day feel special and stress-free and for all the support with prints after.

Professional, flexible, wonderful photographer!
Ok so this review is very late but very necessary. We hired Heidi after an extensive search of photographers in the Carmel area. I must have interviewed over 10 photographers and I’m sooooo glad we went with Heidi. We initially selected her because of the quality of her shots, she didn’t use any weird filters, the poses looked great, and she was so down to earth and professional on the phone. Our first conversation was very thorough and I remember feeling like she was going to really take care of us by the end of the conversation. She did our engagement shoot at a hidden beach and the pics were gorgeous! The wedding photos were even better. Our wedding had two venues that were an hour and a half away from each other, which put a real time constraint on us for pictures, but Heidi rolled with the punches and got great shots at both locations. She worked seamlessly with our videographer, even driving the videographer in her car with her so we could have the limo to ourselves and the partner could set up at the second location. She was so professional and beyond helpful. Making sure my hair was right, helping with my husbands boutonnière, making sure my earrings made it safely to my overnight bag, etc. The experience with her overall was exceptional. Now, let me tell you about the photos!! They are amazing!! The lighting, the background, the poses, just beautiful. I’m so glad we went with her. She’s very familiar with the area so she knows where to go and how to get the best shots. We also purchased our wedding album with her. Let me say, I was a little hesitant to get one with her because it’s quite pricey, and I had already researched other options, but ultimately we decided to go with hers…thank god we did, I don’t regret it one bit, invest in the album. It’s gorgeous! The quality is unmatched. It’s hefty, thick, and just overall great quality!! It’s an investment for sure but soooooooo worth it a hundred times over! GET THE ALBUM. If you’re questioning it, watch her videos to check out her samples. Money comes and goes but your memories are forever. Overall working with Heidi and her team was wonderful and made the busy day a little more manageable. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. Thank you Heidi! You’re the bomb! ❤️

Dream wedding
I always wanted to get married on a beach, it’s my happy place. Beach weddings are tricky as the weather, wind, etc are very hard to work with. Heidi was great and you would never know from her work all the obstacles she has to overcome to get the perfect shot. Not to mention running around on the sand is a workout in itself. She was able to give me photos to look back on that I will forever cherish and pinch myself because that was really our day. Her photos are amazing and I couldn’t be happier with her and her fairytale photos! -

We LOVE Heidi Borgia Photography
We LOVE Heidi Borgia Photography! We hired her and her husband to assist with our wedding on the beach in Monterey and they went above and beyond to help us organize and plan everything. It was so wonderful having someone who knew the area take care of the small details for the wedding ceremony! Heidi took our wedding photos and they turned out absolutely stunning! I had dreamt of this day since I was a little girl and she captured every small detail perfectly. My husband and I fell in love with all the pictures she took on our special day. When we were going to have a maternity shoot we chose to hire her again to capture our special family growing! We live in Roseville but loved working with her so much we chose to drive to Monterey so she could take our photos again. She is extremely professional and she really cares about her clients. We have used her for our family photography for our wedding and two maternity shoots now and I plan on using her in the future as well. We love working with her and she takes incredible pride in her work!

I first contacted Heidi in January 2020 pre Covid about shooting our wedding in early 2021. Needless to say, we had to cancel and reschedule to August 2021. Heidi was wonderful to work with regarding scheduling a new date and honoring all original contracts and pricing and being very flexible and accommodating. She is organized, professional and quick to respond to all communications. Her pleasant and fun personality was able to put me at ease and keep me calm during the whole process leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. It was like having a close and personal friend as the photographer. The outcome of feeling that trust and comfort level with Heidi shows through in the quality of the photos she took of my husband and I. She captured all the settings I requested and many many more. Heidi is a very talented photographer and was able to capture some beautiful moments between my husband and I and also family and friends. Heidi helped me order several canvases from our photos and we were very pleased with them all. Heidi organized the layout of our beautiful photo album which exceeded our expectations. It will be treasured for years to come. She also organized a slideshow of my favorite photos with songs from our wedding and reception. Watching the slideshow is like reliving the day all over again with a big smile. I would definitely recommend Heidi. She did a fabulous job! -

Amazingly talented!!
If you're looking for an amazing photographer in Monterey, Heidi is your girl! We connected using their wedding service and I could not be happier! She arrived early and helped line up and capture all of the wonderful shots I wanted on my big day. Heidi made sure my poses were on point while simultaneously keeping us on schedule and updating our venue of our timeline for arrival. I don't know how she does it but you can tell she loves what she does and is good at! I would also like to add she had our photos back while we were still on our honeymoon!! I was expecting to wait at least 6 weeks! I loved working with Heidi and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. She made us so comfortable and happy we love her! -

Heidi and her husband Brian really know what they're doing when it comes to being the total package for a wedding photographer and officiant! I come from an event planning background with over 15 years under my belt, so I've seen many photographers in my day and Heidi was absolutely fantastic!! I already knew by looking at her work that I didn't have anything to worry about when it came to results, the only worry I had from my years of experience was concerning how long the post-ceremony wedding photos can take. So many couples I've worked with in the past felt like they were "stolen away" from cocktail hour or more time that could be spent with their family and friends at their wedding because of photos, but not only did Heidi have every single pose and shot mapped out to the most efficient "T," she brought a light-heartedness and humor to her craft that made the experience so much fun! She even has mastered the art of getting my rambunctious nieces/flower girls (age 4 and 5) to stand still and look at the camera AT THE SAME TIME. Seriously, that never happens! :) Everything from her lighting to her professional demeanor and even her lovely assistant made our wedding photos spectacular, and best of all, we received our photos in only a matter of days!! She must have super powers, because I know we weren't the only wedding she was shooting that weekend! Thank you, Heidi, for being a master at your craft! -

Carmel, CA Elopement
My fiancé and I were one of the many couples who had to postpone our 2020 wedding due to Covid19. After much contemplation, we decided to privately elope on the beach in Carmel, CA and still hold our larger wedding (hopefully) in 2021!
As a professional wedding planner it was a no-brainer for me to immediately reach out to Brian and Heidi Borgia (wedding officiant and photographer extraordinaire!) I had the pleasure of working with Heidi and Brian for years with many of my wedding clients and now it was my turn to finally be “The Bride”!
We could not have been happier with our choice!! Heidi was amazing…on time, punctual and professional as always – I would expect no less. During the wedding, she was everywhere and knew the exact angles to take the perfect photos. She was completely unobtrusive and put us at ease with her confidence, laughter and grace.
Heidi really captured our love and the special moments of our amazing day. We are forever grateful and will enjoy our captivating photos forever. I HIGHLY recommend the Borgia Team!

I can't say enough good things about Heidi!! I never write reviews but she deserves this exception! My husband and I booked Heidi because she was listed on my Venue's recommended list. From our first meeting I immediately new she was going to be amazing. Heidi is the epitome of professionalism and had the "take charge" attitude I was looking for. I wanted someone I could trust to get the job done and help guide me through the process. Heidi always responds promptly and thoroughly. Our wedding fell in the middle of COVID. Two weeks before the wedding there was another shutdown and our venue pulled out. Last minute we swapped to a new venue. Heidi was so flexible and supportive during this time. She helped reassure us and seamlessly swapped to the new venue. She is so experienced and immediately was familiar with the new site and what shots to take there. She also worked so well and closely with the other vendors which helped ease our load during this hectic time. On the wedding day Heidi was a godsend. She took charge and helped make sure everything happened on time. We have over 800 beautiful photos from the big day its impossible to narrow down our favorites. Heidi was so thorough that guests commented on how good she must be doing - at the same time she blended in to the background seamlessly and never interrupted our day. The wedding was amazing and a big part of that was thanks to Heidi and her assistant Brooke. -

My fiancé and I had our wedding postponed due to covid-19, and Heidi was amazingly flexible and supportive with our plans changing. She recently did a pre wedding photo session with us and we had such a great time! She was in full mask and she was always 6+ feet away. We felt safe around her and her helper, and the photos came out absolutely wonderful! We can’t wait to work with her again on our actual wedding day, and we can’t recommend Heidi enough! -

Couldn’t imagine a better wedding
We had such an amazing experience working with Heidi. She captured our short and sweet wedding day perfectly. We had a few pictures we wanted in mind and she went above and beyond with photos. We have been looking through our photos everyday and it feels like we are reliving our wedding day each time. It’s so hard picking which shots we want printed. She was great on helping us with poses and how to be positioned, which was super helpful since my husband and I aren’t the best at posing for photos. We felt so comfortable working with her. She was very flexible and worked with us during these times of COVID, maintaining a safe distance and wearing a mask. I would highly recommend her as your photographer! -

Wow, where to begin….Thank you so much Heidi and Brian for making the sweetest day for my Husband and I so incredibly magical from start to finish! Heidi and Brian are both very sweet and warm people who made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire day. This was our first time ever hiring a photographer and having photos taken of us and she made us feel so comfortable and natural, we laughed all day it was amazing. Fantastic photos, Fun experience!
Heidi is incredible!
She photographed our elopement and we could not be happier with the results! My husband doesn't typically enjoy photoshoots, but even he was able to relax and have a great time. Heidi made us feel so comfortable and she ended up getting some great candid moments in addition to more traditional poses. She had great ideas for photos and was enthusiastic about the ideas we brought too. It really felt more like hanging out with a friend than other photoshoots we've participated in.
The day was really bright, so we were worried that we might look washed out in the final pictures, but Heidi worked magic and they are so vibrant! She really captured the beauty of the setting.
I cannot recommend Heidi enough! -

We chose the Luxe Collection for our wedding photos which included an engagement session. Heidi was flexible with us since we live in San Francisco and even took a video call for our intro meeting. We were impressed with her positive energy, professionalism, and portfolio from the start, so we knew we were in good hands. She made us feel comfortable and carefree during out fun engagement shoot with our dog Dexter at Pebble Beach, even though it was really cold in January 2019! The photos were delivered on time and came out beautifully for both our engagement shoot and for our wedding in May 2019 at Intercontinental the Clement in Monterey. We especially loved the photo slideshow she put together so we can easily share highlight photos with our family & friends a few weeks before the full gallery was ready. It was fun to work with Heidi because you can tell she LOVES her job and it truly shows in her work. Thanks Heidi for capturing our wedding day, we will treasure your photos forever! -

Beautiful photos! The photos are special because of the way Heidi uses the surroundings to enhance them as the well the way she made us feel at ease. We only met Heidi as we arrived for the ceremony and almost immediately we felt we found a good friend. My wife loves being in front of the camera while I’m a little shy, but Heidi made me feel at ease, I actually enjoyed the photos. It was playful and fun and that all translated to amazing photos. Heidi was an unbelievable help, I found her pictures online from which she helped me choose a beautiful location and plan my secret proposal. She was so understanding and did everything to accommodate me and my requests in a short time-frame, even when I was being less than helpful or smart. Heidi got me over-the-line basically, I wanted the day to be perfect and though my sense of direction and the weather were slight let downs, her pictures make it look smooth, bright and beautiful, we got such a large range of photo's to choose from, all tastefully taken and edited. Plenty of direction on the day and above all despite only meeting her for the first time after I had proposed, it felt like I had a professional friend there for us both. Magical day, I wish I could relive again! -

Heidi was fabulous to work with. We had so much fun with her during our wedding. I had never even talked with her but had only sent in a few pictures of what we were looking for and she went out of her way to get the pictures we had desired. She was very professional and had some great ideas to make our day extra special. I would highly recommend working with her. She is exceptional and it was a pleasure having her a part of our wedding. Heidi Borgia - Brilliant Wedding Photographer
Planning for a wedding can be stressful and expensive. We met Heidi through her husband Brian Borgia who was our officiant.
When we first spoke to Heidi we were getting close to our wedding and still, we did not have a photographer in mind. Brian introduced us and we scheduled a call and she gave us an overview of how she would plan the shoot for the day.
She was easy to talk to and the best thing about it is she did not try to oversell her services but rather give guidance and ideas on what to expect throughout the day.
After we decided that we want to work with Heidi she provided us with a timeline of the shoot so we were not working blindly which is very important because it can get chaotic. Her planning was perfect and a photographer with great time management is important so they are not there just wasting time.
The quality of our pictures is perfect and beautiful. We still keep staring at them on a daily basis and share them with our friends and family. the only thing we need to do is order prints from Heidi when we get a chance.
I would definitely use Heidi for our future pictorial and would recommend her to anyone who needs a proper photographer, not just for a wedding but for other events.
Heidi - Thank you so much for making our special day memorable. We appreciate the work that you have done for us and I am sure that we will use your services again.

My husband and I wanted a small simple wedding in Carmel Valley and hired Brian and Heidi from Weddings in Monterey to help us with our special day. As a wedding photographer, Heidi is great. During our photo shoot, she made the best use of the wedding venue and captured a lot of interesting angles and details. My family and I absolutely love our photos. I highly recommend Heidi! -

Highly recommend Heidi and her husband for your wedding in California
We used Heidi and her husband for our wedding last October on Hidden Beach California we are from N.Ireland we had never met them before. But I can highly recommend them every email we sent and there were a lot was replied to straightaway we paid a deposit and left everything to them the location was. Fantastic just what we wanted privacy they met us at the location and everything from the ceremony to the the photographer was excellent we had a great day.wevwere really pleased when we got the photos we can highly recommend Heidi and her husband if your looking professional service and great customer care. -
