I take both great pride and pleasure in being a wedding officiate and to know that one of my couples was disappointed makes myself disappointed.

You wrote that you did not feel a personal connection with us. We try very hard to learn as much as we can about every couple who chooses us, as we also like to feel a sense of connection when we perform a wedding. If we left you feeling we didn’t care, I assure you that was not our intention.

You also stated that your guests were left standing during the wedding service and this upset you. As the minister performing the ceremony, I noticed that they did not resume their seats when you reached the front as is customary, nor when I lowered my hands. Since in some denominations it is common to stand during a short service, I thought that perhaps this was what your family was expecting, and simply thought it better to continue rather than make an issue of it. Obviously that was not the case, and for that I apologize.

I hope, however, that you will not judge Heartfelt Ministries in its entirety by this, as that is not a fair representation of the passion, enthusiasm and dedication our ministers devote to their service. Heartfelt Ministries is truly an amazing organization that strives to always give its best to the people we serve and despite mistakes, I am grateful and honored to be a part of it.

I will take your criticism to heart, and I promise that it will not be forgotten. Your feedback is welcomed and will be used to improve our services in the future.
