I cannot say enough good things about Barbara and her team at Growing Wild! She did an breathtakingly good job - I was in love with my flowers - and I am not a "flower" person. Barbara is super fun and creative and her energy flows through to her work. I didn't want the flowers to be "too girly" at our wedding so we chose to do them in lime green and bright blue - an unusual combination to say the least - but Barbara understood our desire for pops of color in the wedding decor and made the vision come alive. She executed everything we wanted brilliantly! When you first meet with her, she shows you various arrangements that she has done on previous events and asks you to react to them in terms of the colors, style and types of flowers. Even those of us who don't know flowers are easily able to give feedback and from there she begins to comprehend your vision. I must caution you that Barbara does not do "trials" - she said to me that she needs to let the flowers speak to her, and that she can't make an arrangement one month and then be stifiled into recreating that a month later for the wedding - which especially rings true when she grows so many of her own flowers, and the availability is always changing. Despite that, even a mild control freak, took the leap and choose to trust Barbara and her team's creativity and I am so glad I did. I was absolutely in love with what she did and I will definitely book her again for any event that I do that needs flowers.

Barbara at Growing Wild is AMAZING! She is very talented and was a pleasure to work with. I had a very specific look and vision I wanted for my flowers and Barbara surpassed all my expectations. My wedding was July 25th and I was hoping to have peonies for my bridal bouquet. Peonies are typically a spring flower, but somehow Barbara worked her magic and I had a beautiful pink and white peony bridal bouquet. Barbara's prices are very competitive, but I think for the work that she does they are unbeatable. I would highly recommend Growing Wild for your special day, you won't be disapointed.

HIRE Growing Wild for your wedding!!! Everything was even better then I thought it would be. Barbara was a dream to work with. She was the first florist I met with-- and I just knew that she would be perfect and she was. Barbara knows her flowers, what looks good together and how to make it all work. I wanted LOTS of sunflowers-- and I got tones of sunflowers. It was great to know that I didn't have to worry about flowers, since Barbara and her team would make it all beautiful.

Growing Wild was worth every penny and probably should have charged me double! I loved my flowers. Loved, loved, loved. They looked like they belonged in a bridal magazine. Barbara is also an absolute DOLL to work with. I had a tricky color scheme to work with (teal-ish blue and gold), and she absolutely pulled it off. All my guests were amazed with the flowers, and the bridesmaids were in love with their bouquets. A piece of advice--I told Barbara to "go nuts" with my flowers and use her best judgment and I'm so glad I did. Barbara is an artist and I recommend giving her at least some free reign to let that shine through. I am so, so happy I did. I got luxurious flowers, including set up and delivery, for an outstanding price.

I would highly recommend Growing Wild Floral Company for wedding floral services. I was delighted with their customer service, the flower arrangements, bouquets, and decorations are exceptional, and the pricing is extremely reasonable. Barbara Von Elm is a very talented florist, with a friendly, engaging, and discerning demeanor. She was very attentive to my ideas and preferences throughout the process, was very patient and helpful in fitting my vision into my budget, and was quite flexible and accommodating of changes. The work of Barbara and her team was spectacular - the flower arrangements and bouquets were exactly as I had envisioned - classic, elegant, and fresh. The flowers were aromatic and beautiful, and the flowers from many of the centerpieces remained vibrant for weeks after the wedding, which is a testament to their high quality. Growing Wild Floral Company is a excellent value, particularly given the high caliber of customer service and the quality of the flowers themselves. I would enthusiastically recommend Growing Wild's services, and we certainly will hire them again for future special events!

Barbara worked hard to understand the theme of my wedding, to coordinate colors, and to best provide me with flowers I love, all while working within my budget. Barbara provided my wedding with beautiful corsages, bouquets and centerpieces. She also decorated an arch which we used as the backdrop for our wedding ceremony. She did a wonderful job, and I would highly recommend her services.

I first contacted and booked Barbara Von Elm and Growing Wild Florals based on the glowing reviews I had read of her work on WeddingWire. And she definitely did not dissapoint. Babara is nothing short of a floral goddess! I had very specific ideas of the flowers and look I wanted for our big day. Barbara was totally willing to work with what I had in mind, but took the whole concept to the next level thanks to her expertise and experience. Barbara has a genuine passion for what she does and that comes through in your first meeting with her. Throughout the months that we worked together, I felt like she was genuinely as excited about our day as we were. Barbara's pricing is very competitive. We worked up a floral budget very early on and Barbara kept to the figure we had agreed upon. She was very clear with me on the cost of particular flowers and that helped us arrive a floral mix that worked, but didn't break the bank. In fact she even created an extra arrangment for our reception free of charge since she had flowers left over from our centerpieces. Who does that in Washington, DC?
From the bouquets, to the arrangement at the church, to our reception florals, and everything in between, I was left speechless and amazed at Barbara's work. I really couldn't have asked for more.

Barbara was a treat to work with! She knew we were working with a tight budget and wasn't scared off - she worked even harder! She came very prepared to our first meeting with flower options and a budget worksheet. She used tons of stuff from her own yard and allowed us to rent some pieces to keep he cost down. The value for cost was the best of any vendor we worked with! She translated my floral vision perfectly, beautifully and cost-effciently. I couldn't have asked for more!

Barbara is amazing and basically sat there and listened to me babble about flowers (I had no clue what I wanted) and budget and then turned around and whipped it all into a brilliant proposal. I had really strong feelings about color (purple) and she spent an hour with me going over various images of different purple flowers and finding out my opinions of each. She and I had an ongoing email dialogue--every time I picked a new element for the wedding (such as a dress), I emailed it to her as further inspiration. Her prices are unbeatable, too.
The flowers were absolutely perfect, and I couldn't believe how much we got for our money. My bouquet was even more beautiful than I had envisioned--she really nailed my color and shape specifications. The bridesmaids loved their bouquets too, the boutonnieres were fantastic, and the centerpieces and altar arrangements were completely gorgeous. I couldn't believe how well she understood my vision and how perfectly she carried it out. We got tons of compliments on the flowers, all night long.

Barbara Von Elm at Growing Wild exceeded our expectations. She has a passion for what she does and it shows. Our flowers were way more beautiful than I could ever imagine. She works great if you give her the liberty to run "wild" with your color choices and style. I have never seen more beautiful wedding flowers than my own. I also felt like she was a great value...which is really important.
Everything went seamless the day of the wedding. The flowers arrived on time and were fresh.

Barbara has wonderfully creative ideas and is also open to yours. She is an artist who paints with flowers. She took our autumn theme and reflected it in textures and colors, pumpkins and all. Barbara at Growing Wild did a wonderful job with the flowers at our wedding ceremony and reception. I told her that I wanted lots of deep color, and she really worked with me to give me exactly what I wanted (even though I could not describe it that well). I have to admit I was an indecisive bride at first--when i first met with Barbra our color palette was one thing--and than i changed it once and than a second time---each time meeting with Barbara in the coffee shop. No matter how indecisive i was early on about our color palette, i was 100% sure of our florist. From the moment hubby and i spent our first hour with Barbra we left knowing she was our florist, i got her the down payment the next week. She is so personable, and she really gets to know you. She gets your vision, what you want and than she takes her expertise ( and believe me she has it) and her vision and she creates amazing masterpieces. She was so helpful throughout the whole wedding process--I have already recommended her to friends who are getting married, and they have thanked me profusely, she is just that wonderful. Our flowers turned out amazing and she managed to stay in our budget...she is a great find and you are lucky to get her to be your florist, i give her an A+
