The Grand Island Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding! Elena, as our mansion coordinator, was amazingly helpful and the whole mansion team was phenomenal. Having in house catering, bartending, and such well organized staff allowed our wedding to be seamless.
The service at Grand Island Mansion was excellent at our wedding. The bartenders, servers, and buffet attendants were professional and friendly. We also had a dedicated server for fetching us drinks, appetizers and food. She was so warm and friendly - it was lovely having someone look after us on our wedding day to make sure we got time to enjoy the food and drinks!
Our guests raved about the food, and we loved it as well. We did a brunch buffet and all of the dishes and appetizers were excellent. The cake was also delicious!
We personally found the Grand Island Mansion venue absolutely stunning and impeccably well kept. We're so happy this beautiful venue is paired with a dream team. The planning team was very responsive to our many questions leading up to the wedding, and they were accommodating to some food restrictions a few guests had. They also were helpful in working with us to customize our drinks and food.
We had to change our event schedule extremely last minute due to rain and Grand Island Mansion was incredible in accommodating our schedule change! It made all the difference in the world to us to have our ceremony outside, which required waiting for the rain to stop. We are eternally grateful for Elena and the Grand Island Mansion team for being so professional and adaptable and helping make our dream wedding a reality! -

Story book wedding! The mansion was perfect and beautiful. Our theme was Beauty and the Beast and it was spectacular. The new lights in the courtyard are amazing. -

The mansion staff brought my firy tale to life and made it memorable for years to come. I was so pleased with them start to finish. Only one thing you should know is to enjoy the food at the venue. As the bride and groom we were in full visitation mode and never got to go back and enjoy the food and you dont get to take what is left. Eveything else was priceless...and everyone told me the food was AMAZING -

We just got married at the mansion in November, and it was PERFECTION. Not only is it a breathtaking and unique historical venue, but the mansion staff is fabulous, too. We are so grateful to the wedding coordinators for making sure that everything was just how we liked, and they even took special care to make sure my husband and I had a full plate of food, drinks, and everything we wanted before everyone else. No starving newlyweds here! Speaking of food, the food is AMAZING and all of our guests raved about it. I highly recommend going with the buffet so that you can have a taste of everything. We also ordered our cake through the mansion and it was delicious and beautiful, too. Great professionalism and communication, and the price is comparable to other wedding venues in the area, but the mansion is so much better. This venue is much more unique than your run-of-the-mill hotel ballroom, and it's unforgettable. We were also able to have us and 20ish of our guests spend the night there, too! They served us delicious pizza at midnight, and we had an afterparty bartender, too, which was incredibly fun. We were also served a continental breakfast in the morning. It couldn't have been any more perfect. This is the venue to choose if you want a completely unique, unforgettable, fairytale wedding. -

Even moved the day for my 6 month deposit since I booked the wedding 6 months in advance. They are even letting me have my dogs in the wedding. They are an all inclusive venue which means less stress for me!! -

I had dreamt of getting married at the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, CA for 10 years...I fell in love with our venue over a decade ago while playing in a children's handbell choir at my mentor/bell choir director's wedding. To bring everything full circle, the most amazing delight was having she and several other ringers play "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" on the very same handbells at our wedding on July 26. Another special memory, my mentor's daughters were our precious flower girls, complete with flower-adorned, Pinterest worthy, heart-shaped french braids atop their angelic blonde heads. The Grand Island Mansion itself, as described by its name, is truly grand..."Think of an elegant garden party that Marie Antoinette would throw and you have basically just described the venue," says Kaleb Willis, our florist, owner of Kaleb Norman James Design (www.kalebnormanjames.com), one of our 9 groomsmen, and a childhood friend of Quinton's. I especially enjoyed being so involved with the floral designs and visited the San Francisco Flower Market with Kaleb to hand-pick exactly what we wanted for our wedding day!

Tara our coordinator from the mansion was AMAZING & made me feel 100% at ease throughout the entire planning process and day of! Overall, my husband and I were so grateful to work with such amazing vendors, including the talents of Photography by Betty Elaine. She really captured every moment of our big day from getting makeup ready and my hair done to our incredible getaway on a small yacht chartered by Captain Charlie from the Locke Marina nearby the Grand Island Mansion! Another special highlight was ending the wedding festivities with some ice cream cones at Mel's, the best local coffee and ice cream joint in Walnut Grove. Quinton and I couldn't have asked for a more magical day at the mansion! -

User883652 Sent on 07/31/2012Grand Island Mansion is the best place to get married! We even changed our wedding date because it was taken just to have the ceremony and reception here. The venue is so beautiful, elegant and classy we couldn't say no! And it is quite affordable I must say, so please take advantage of that :) We looked at so many venues before we found GIM, and they are nothing in comparison (and pricey for no reason). All the staff is so professional and helpful, thanks to them our wedding day went smooth and stress free! The food and cake were delicious, and all our guests were raving about how beautiful everythiing was. We rented all the rooms even though we didn't have to since it was a weekday, and none of our guests regrets that. It was such unique experience for everyone! Thank you Rick, Debbie and Hilda for your great work!
