From the initial phone call, to being greeted with champagne at the door, to all the little moments they made special; this was an amazing experience! Sarah truly listened to what I was asking for and found me the most beautifully perfect dress. With the help of Janet, the owner, and few other consultants in the studio, they essentially built me my dream gown; plucked it right out of my head and made it a reality. I walked in with a friend just looking for an intro to wedding dress shopping, and walked out with my dream gown! Thank you so very much to Janet and Sarah for the most perfect bridal experience! -

I was in town from Michigan, visiting my best friend and preparing to ask her to be my maid of honor, and she surprised me by asking if she could take me dress shopping. She said she followed a size-inclusive wedding boutique on Instagram and thought it would be fun. We went and it was the best experience. The ladies were attentive, even turning up the AC when I was sweating to keep me comfortable. I tried on several dresses, really loved one of them, but didn't make a selection while I was there. They offered me a discount and no SC taxes if I shipped the dress to Michigan. A week later, I couldn't stop thinking about one of the dresses. It was available at a local boutique BUT I called back to Charleston, talked to the owner, and ordered from them. Because of the amazing experience, I was compelled to support their business. Thank you! -

Literally the first dress we grabbed off the rack! Me and my family had such a great time. They served us drinks and the staff was very friendly. I loved the decor and overall atmosphere of the boutique. Everyone was friendly and inviting and every dress I picked up was gorgeous but nothing beat that first dress. I had such a wonderful and memorable experience at the GBC ! Rachel was my consultant and she made me feel comfortable as soon as I had walked in . I told her was I was a young breast cancer survivor and she made me feel special, especially when I found my dream dress ! Rachel I had let her know I had a single mastectomy on my right aids and was sensitive to my needs . She didn’t sacrifice my desires when it came to the style of dress I wanted just because I had lost my right breast and was using a prosthetic! Brides who have gone through cancer or any brides who are looking for a princess experience, I would recommend to anyone ! Love my wedding dress and can’t wait to marry my best friend 10/26/2024 ! -

I had an amazing experience at Gown Boutique! My stylist, Alexis, was incredible! She was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. It's clear she has a passion for this and I felt like I was in good hands. She took the time to welcome my mom, maid of honor, and me and take a look at some inspo photos I had brought. The first gown she picked out for me was almost perfect and she clearly listened to what I felt was still needed because after trying on just a few more gowns the fourth gown I tried on was the one! Everything about this experience was amazing and I actually ended up cancelling all my other appointments at other shops that day! -

Before coming to Gown Boutique, I went dress shopping at another shop and left confused. Upon arriving at GB, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted. I tried on 5 gowns that fit the vision and still felt confused. Jamie could sense my confusion and asked if she could pull what she and my Mom thought I would like. Sure enough the next dress I tried on was THE dress. I did not want to take it off and it was the perfect dress for my day. I can not thank Jamie and GB enough for being so patient with me and for pushing me out of my comfort zone to find my dream dress! -

We researched and asked for recommendations from local friends and everyone said “you have to go to GBC!” From the initial call to book the appointment to working through the selection process, Janet provided such incredible service and expertise. Janet truly listened to my daughter and helped us select the absolute most perfect dress. Janet was patient, observant, and knowledgeable. The gowns are beautiful and high quality. Overall, the wedding dress shopping experience at GBC exceeded all of our expectations. I would highly recommend GBC to everyone that cherishes outstanding service and an array of styles and sizes. -

The best wedding dress shop in Charleston!
They were able to fit me in to an appointment slot that got cancelled and were so accommodating! They truly have the best dress selection. I was amazed by every dress I tried on. My stylist, Rachel, pulled a variety of dresses that were well within my budget and that also were exactly what I was looking to try on and also showed me the sample dress rack to look at. She was so considerate and easy going and made me feel completely comfortable. The owner, Janet, personally weighed in and pulled some dresses as well based on what I wanted and actually ended up pulling the dress that I went with. They were both so easy to work with and suggested little tweaks and additions to make everything exactly how I wanted it. I am so relieved that I was able to get in there because it truly is leagues above everywhere else. Do not go wedding dress shopping in Charleston without going here. And you might want to make it the last appointment you have or the only one because I can pretty much guarantee you won’t want or need to go anywhere else!!! -

I had the most incredible experience at GBC! I attended a fashion show there, and found out that they were having a trunk show a few weeks after for my favorite designer, All Who Wander! It was certainly meant to be. Alexis and Janet both helped me, and they are the most genuine and kind people. They are truly there to be your biggest cheerleaders, and your voice of reason throughout the experience. Since it was really last minute for me, I only had a couple people with me, and we facetimed the rest of my family. Alexis made sure that my family on ft were able to see the entire time, and she was the most patient person when I had a hard time deciding. I've been with a few friends at bridal appointments, and I've never had a fun, personal experience like this one. At GBC they go above and beyond. And be prepared, when they put on the veil and hand you the flowers, you will cry all the happy tears! -

After visiting 7 bridal salons, I said YES to the dress at BGC! Alexis was absolutely better than amazing! She gave me honest advice and went above and beyond to help me find the one. She found the style I liked and picked the perfect dress. Was then helping with accessories and color matching of bridesmaid's dresses. She was bending over backward for me and my three guests to make sure we had the best experience possible. If I could do it all over again, I would hands down start with Alexis first because she was an absolute rockstar and made the experience so much better compared to other salons! -

I could not have possibly asked for a better wedding dress shopping experience!! Jamie is such a DREAM to work with! Right when myself, mom, and bridesmaids showed up, we were instantly greeted and taken to our area. Jamie had me in happy tears before I even talked about a wedding dress. One of my bridesmaids/best friend could not make the dress appointment so she had flowers sent to the shop the day before my appointment. Jamie kept the flowers and brought out the flowers saying the most wonderful things, which made me lose it (in a great way)! Jamie really understood what I was looking for in a dress and helped pick out some amazing dresses. It was almost hard to choose because every dress was so beautiful! I never thought that I would have the issue of being in love with every dress that I tried on! Jamie made the experience feel like I was shopping with a best friend, even though I had only met her minutes before! Her amazing positive energy made the whole experience so much fun, she truly made me feel SO beautiful in every single dress that I tried on. GBC really made the whole experience from beginning to ¨popping the champs¨ and throwing confetti when saying ¨yes to the dress¨ a day that I will truly never forget. I HIGHLY recommend everyone to go to Gown Boutique of Charleston if they are looking for an amazing experience wedding dress shopping. Just be prepared, because there is a VERY high chance that you will find the absolute dress of your dreams and leave there with the biggest smile on your face for days! -

I don't even know where to begin! I could not have asked for a better shopping experience at GBC in finding the perfect dress for our big day. I traveled from Atlanta for my appointment because our wedding is in Charleston and I am so glad I did!
My stylist, Jamie Smolik made the whole experience an absolute DREAM! She was positively upbeat, patient, incredibly knowledgable, the best hype girl a bride could ask for and made the entire process easy and so fun. It is a day I will remember for the rest of my life!
My Mum said it best ~ we all need to be more like Jamie! Super fun, have more pink in our lives and drink rose all the way!
To future brides looking at GBC - BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT & ask for Jamie! I can promise you, you will not regret it! -

I cannot recommend the Gown Boutique of Charleston enough! As a plus size + curvy bride, I was worried that finding a dress would be hard. It was not! From the second I arrived, Jaime made me feel right at ease. She had us laughing and made the appointment so special for me. We talked about my style, my must haves then set off around the shop to find dresses. Every one she pulled was stunning! We narrowed it down to five and every one fit beautifully! Such a relief for this plus sized, curvy girl.
I fell in love with the Iris dress! It fit like it was made for me. Jaime helped me find the perfect vail to go with it and it brought tears to all of our eyes. I am so thankful for her attention to detail and desire to make sure that I felt comfortable + beautiful in my dress. She made my day!
We ordered the custom jean jacket with my new last name on the back too! Thank you Jaime & GBC for making my wedding dress dreams come true! -

I recently visited Gown Boutique during a whirlwind weekend of dress shopping. I visited several area bridal shops and tried on many dresses. Long story short, I ended up overwhelmed and very unsure. I changed my mind several times on which dress at which shop I thought I wanted and ended up completely confused and had to take a couple of days to sleep on it.
When I looked back at my shopping experiences, Gown Boutique stood out in my mind, far ahead of the others. The shop is well designed, and Jamie had been the absolutely wonderful during my appointment, and seemed to really understand what I was looking for, and was also very respectful of my budget. I looked back at the pictures of dresses I had tried on there and realized I had been overlooking one at GB that actually checked all the boxes of what I had originally set out to find.
I contacted Jamie to see about coming back in for a fresh start and she replied immediately and got me in that afternoon. She had the dress ready for me to try, along with a couple of others just in case. She didn't pressure me at all, and was just as friendly and helpful and professional as she'd been at my original appointment. By the end of this appointment I was 100% sure about my dress, and very happy with my decision. Can't recommend Gown Boutique enough! -

I heard about Gown Boutique of Charleston through a fellow bride who had nothing but good things to say! I submitted an inquiry through their online portal and someone reached out immediately. For the month leading up to the appointment I emailed them photos of all the dresses that I liked as well as a bullet point list of what I I didn’t like. The day before, my sales rep, Jamie, reached out with a really sweet and personalized text reminder. When I went in the day-of, she greeted my ladies and me with a genuine and natural enthusiasm. I truly didn’t expect for her to have really studied the dress photos I sent, but she had and was very mindful of my wants and needs. As we started trying them on, I quickly realized that what I *thought* I wanted wasn’t what I wanted AT ALL lol. Jamie was so accommodating and flexible. There was no pressure whatsoever, and although I thought I would never buy a dress at my first trial BUT I’m happy to say that with Jamie’s help, that is now one less thing off my list!! After I said YES, Jamie doled out champagne and took our group’s photos so we could document and remember that moment forever! 10/10 would recommend to ANY bride. -

The atmosphere is so fun and beautiful, the music is perfect, and my consultant Alexis was so attentive to me and my guests. When I requested my appointment I was called within the same day and spoke on the phone with the sweetest woman who made me feel like she knew the exact dress for me. I was also encouraged to send any pictures I liked and my pinterest board. When my group came in we were greeted and handed delicious champagne. Alexis was my consultant and she was so sweet and knew everything about their dresses and my style. Alexis made the experience even better and the dress I loved and choose is the same one Alexis picked out for me after speaking with me. Alexis put on a vale and handed me flowers and I started to tear up because I could see myself walking down the aisle. My experience with Gown Boutique of Charleston was everything I could have hoped for! Janet was absolutely AMAZING and I could not have asked for a better experience. During my first appointment I tried on several dresses and the one I liked the most unfortunately was not available in my size at the boutique. Janet so graciously ordered a sample size and had it there in a few short weeks. I was able to physically see the gown on my body and fell in love! This was the third and last shop we visited to find my wedding dress - and I am SO glad we ended on a such a high note. From the beginning, the ladies were so attentive in asking about my wedding vision and plans. They were super diligent about confirming my appointment and even called when another group finished early so we could come in earlier (a very welcome adjustment after such a long day)!
From the minute we walked in, the vibe was so different than the other bridal salons. Everything was extremely clean, and well-decorate - I felt an excitement that I hadn't felt at the other salons. My group and I were taken to our own viewing area where we were immediately served champagne (they even had juice ready for me since I'm pregnant, which was so thoughtful).
Alexis was our assistant and she helped me pick out about 4 dresses that perfectly matched with my vision. She wasn't pushy or too aggressive with trying to make a sale, which we experienced at some other places, and was just as enthusiastic as we all were. I said "yes" to the last dress I tried on and she was so great at first making sure we appropriately celebrated and took lots of photos before worrying about payment and logistics. Not only that, but the gowns are gorgeous and reasonably priced. I got my dream dress for well under $2K, which I was not expecting at all.
When we left, we couldn't say enough good things about our experience and how it made our whole day. I HIGHLY recommend Gown Boutique of Charleston to any Charleston bride-to-be!! -

She was so patient, thoughtful, and kind throughout the entire process. She took the time to make me feel special, and truly listened to my vision, helping me find the perfect dress. I drove over three hours from Greenville SC after not having the best of luck! I was going to visit my favorite cousin in Mt. Pleasant for several days and thought hmmm let me do a Google search of local dress shops in the area.
I was looking for a boho style wedding dress as well.
I clicked both key words in and Bammm! Gown boutique site popped up and it led me to a wonderful web of dresses and information.
I received a phone call the next day from them and set up an appointment for a fitting during my visit! Yay
FYI it's easier to be fitted and have more time if you go on a weekday.
I was searching for the perfect dress that suited my lakefront wedding in Whitefish Montana.
Gown Boutique of Charleston exceeded my expectations!
Upon arrival I was greeted by a bubbly young woman named Jamie!
She was very professional.
She offered me a seat and a delicious mimosa or cold beverage to sip on while we began my wedding dress adventure.
She asked me where and when I was getting married.
She also asked if I had a style in mind and or pictures as an example!
I showed her my ideas and told her my ideal budget.
She started immediately pulling dresses for me to try on.
I pointed at one that was on display in the window.
She took a look and informed me that the dress was over my budget and not to worry she had many amazing dresses for me to try!
I really appreciated the fact that she stopped me right there. She was the only salesperson that actually listened to me when it came to budget.
Every single place I went to before gown boutique,
kept bringing me dresses that were exactly at my highest point of budget or several hundred dollars over.
She gets 5 stars for actually listening and coming through for me!
We stepped into the fitting room and Jamie carefully laid a gown on the floor and told me to just simply step in she would do the rest.
No struggling with lifting up heavy dresses, fighting with zippers she did it all.
I loved how she offered a flower bouquet and a veil or some jewelry to complete the whole bride look.
It made dress shopping easier and I was really able to envision what I would look like on my actual wedding day...
I found a beautiful gown (actually two or three) and it was way under my price range.
No one pushed me to buy one of the more expensive gowns, because the one I picked out and loved, they loved with me!
And when I say they, I mean the whole staff and some other customers.
Everyone was so kind and complimentary. I feel I had a very generous and unique experience.
I truly hope everyone else will be fortunate enough to experience the exact same thing I did at Gown Boutique of Charleston!!!
Thank you so much for making my wedding dress dreams come true Gown Boutique.. and Thank You Jamie you were so awesome. You really know your stuff! Great job!

I cannot recommend Gown Boutique of Charleston enough. It was truly an amazing experience- my mother, mother-in-law, and BFF were with me and the staff here made us feel so comfortable and "their main focus." We did have to book reservations far in advance but it was worth it. it was our last shop of the day and did not expect to be picking one from there since it was busy. The shop is clean and beautiful and the dresses were amazing. Jacklyn Crowe was my bridal stylist, who was great and knowledgeable- Thank you! -

I thought I would find something in Chicago, but I fell in love with my custom dress at Gown Boutique. They have such a selection and wonderful staff there! It is a friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable and open. They make you feel good about the dresses you are trying on and help you find one that fits your vision and flatters your body. I had an unforgettable time at Gown Boutique. Not only did I find my dream dress, but Jamie made the appointment absolutely magical. She texted me ahead of the appointment to get me excited, and once I got there she completely listened to my preferences and was tuned in to what I wanted but also helped me go outside my comfort zone. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on! I was with my future MIL and best friend's mom, and we Facetimed my mom and best friend in and all cried. My sister and I visited the Gown Boutique of Charleston today after calling yesterday to see if they had a certain dress in stock. They got us in the next day and we were so impressed by the level of service and the professionalism of all of the staff. I felt comfortable with my consultant, Jessica, and so special. This was the 3rd bridal boutique I have been too and by far my favorite. Cannot wait to go back in a couple of weeks to show my mom the dress and say YES! -

I cannot recommend Gown Boutique of Charleston enough. It was truly an amazing experience- my mother and grandmother flew in to look at dresses with me and the staff here made us feel so comfortable and safe. They are following COVID guidelines but the event was still very fun. The shop is clean and beautiful and the dresses were amazing. We were helped by Leah, who was so sweet and knowledgable- she knew everything about the gowns and how to steer me in the right direction. Thank you! -

Best experience ever!
I just got engaged and I wanted to find my dress now because I am so indecisive and it will take a few different dress shops to find THE dress. I found gown boutique online and I made my appointment, they were so involved and helpful. They emailed me about sending them some ideas of dresses so I definitely did that. Then the day before I went in, I got a lovely text from them saying how excited they are to see me and they are sure that I will find THE dress with them. They were my first place to look at and then i scheduled two more places after them. So I went in on a Saturday and they had my name posted welcoming me in the front and they had champagne to calm my nerves. They were so nice and welcoming. I went through about maybe 5 dresses and I narrowed it down to 2 and I finally found my dress! I did not have to go to my other appointments, I found THE dress. Then I started to have my doubts, so a few hours later I called and told they what was going on in my head and they told me to come back right away so we can figure out why I’m having second thoughts. I tried both the dresses on (past closing at this point) and we all came up with a great idea on what we can do with my dress and I felt so much better! They were so helpful and kind and I highly recommend they to anyone who wants the best experience when trying to find your dream dress 💕 -

Absolutely needs 5 diamonds!!! Well worth the travel time to go to Mt. Pleasant from our small home town. My daughter had a very specific dress in mind. She spoke with Janet on the phone before booking the appointment to make sure they had dresses that were similar to what she had in her mind. They gave her honest answers and said to they had exactly what she was looking for, she even worked with her to make an appointment on early Sunday morning for a private session. Without a doubt, it was the best bridal shopping experience. When we arrived after a chat about the wedding and the visions of the perfect dress she took the bride into a large well let dressing room full of gowns in our price range and fitting the description of her perfect dress. Every dress was stunning and Janet took her time with us making sure we gave her our thoughts and she gave us hers. When it came time to retry, my daughter tried on the very first dress again for round two and then proclaimed this is it. I can not share the actual dress yet but it was worth the road trip. Thank you, Janet. You are the best!! -

Bought my wedding dress and veil here and the experience was beyond perfect. The vibe and decor is so beautiful, it truly gives you that bride moment that you dream of. What a lovely gown boutique! My mom helped me pick our Gown Boutique of Charleston as the first place to look for my wedding dress. As indecisive as I am, I was sure I would not be walking out with a dress after my first appointment. Let me just say - this bridal boutique is absolutely amazing! I’m so thankful they told me not to pull the trigger on the first place I visited until I gave them a chance...because I did end up finding my dress here!
I’m a local wedding planner, so you can imagine I see all kinds of wedding dresses, styles, etc! I went in with an open mind and honestly not much of an idea of what would suit me.
These girls were so kind from the beginning and genuinely cared about every aspect of my day. They served us the most fabulous champagne (we all want to go back for more! Omg!) and made the experience really so relaxing, fun, and memorable.
I’m so thankful I chose Gown Boutique :) from a local wedding professional: if you want to feel important, cared for, and so special...make an appointment here! I personally did not get the same treatment at the first boutique I visited and I can tell you, it’s important that you feel special the whole way through - go with a boutique that is going to give you that! You will not be disappointed! -

From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made me and my guests feel very welcome and comfortable. Cierra was an AMAZING bridal consultant, being very knowledgeable about the inventory, the type of dress I was looking for based on ideas I had sent and very respectful of my budget. Gown Boutique was absolutely wonderful!! My appointment was made weeks in advance due to my crazy work schedule & of course was in the midst of the coronavirus. I emailed them a specific dress I wanted & they tried to get it in stock. I had tried it on before but was skeptical about the color. They kept in contact all week & the appointment was so fun!! All of their dresses were gorgeous and you can customize too! They listened to what I liked and I did love one dress but couldn’t get the other off my mind. Cierra helped me visualize the all ivory color with the gown I loved(it was a moscato underlay with ivory lace) & I said YES to my dress! I would definitely recommend to any Bride!! -

I shopped with them during a sample sale. The event was very well organized and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all to narrow it down to my chosen gown. They had a great selection at AMAZING prices and I was so happy to say YES to my wedding dress! They served us mimosas and took a cute photo and boomerang afterwards which was a nice touch. We weren’t treated at all like bargain hunters, it felt very much like a regular bridal appointment. The ladies here are all so sweet and I would recommend them to anyone in the area! -

I had under garments, but they had some that were better for trying on dresses. As a curvy bride, I was a little nervous about what to expect, however, Emily made my experience comfortable and I felt great throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them. -

I went into my appointment convinced I knew what I didn’t want but had no idea what I did in fact want. I was sure the process of buying a gown was going to be long. With the help from the ladies at Gown Boutique I found my dress on my very first visit! They encouraged me to try styles I was sure weren’t for me and I soon realized I was so wrong about what I assumed was/wasn’t right for me! I love my dress!
I got my dress from Gown Boutique of Charleston and WOW! I love it! My wedding was October 11, 2019, and I loved my dress, but wasn’t sure what my soon to be husband would think. Of course, he loved it and still talks about it. Everyone who works at Gown Boutique were so helpful and once they found out what style I liked, they picked a few and literally this was the first dress I tried on there and fell in love. They are good at what they do and have affordable dresses!! I couldn’t be happier with how my dress looked! The train was my favorite part. It was incredible!!! I also got my veil there and love it!! Definitely something that I will pass down to my kids one day! :) -

From the very first call I made to Gown Boutique of Charleston, I was very impressed with their exceptional customer service!! They were extremely accommodating and welcoming to my large entourage (6 people). Cierra took the time to meet everyone, learn about my wedding, and get an idea of what I was looking for in a gown. I’m pretty indecisive, and I wasn’t set on a particular style, so I was open to trying several types of gowns. Each time I would come out to show a gown, Cierra would ask if there was something I didn’t like. Based on my feedback, she would find another gown to try. I ended up falling in LOVE with a dress in a style completely different than what I thought I would end up with! We celebrated with complimentary champagne and pictures, and I was able to leave with my dress in hand because it was a sample sale dress (big win!). I had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend visiting Gown Boutique of Charleston!! -

Whatever style of dress you are looking for, look no further than Gown Boutique of Charleston. I tried on many types of dresses in the boutique, and if you can't find THE one? They can do custom. While I was trying on many dresses, Janet was so patient and listened to exactly what I liked/ did not like about EVERY dress before finding the next one to put me in. This process culminated into her finding me the perfect gown! The staff also checked on my group, making sure they had everything the needed. From start (finding the one) to finish (gown cleaning and preservation), GBC has everything you need. My advice? Go here, and trust the staff. -

I just bought my wedding dress from Gown Boutique of Charleston and had a GREAT experience! I was very upfront about my budget being on the low end (under $1,000). They were so mindful of that and were still able to put me in plenty of dresses (sample dresses that are bought as is) under what I was wanting to pay. And I loved every single dress! The sample dresses were all in great condition. Meghan was a pleasure to work with - very kind, patient, calm, and sweet! She let me select a few dresses to try on, and she pulled dresses based on what I thought I liked / feedback from the dresses I was trying on. I went back a few days after my intial appointment to try on one of the dresses that I couldn't stop thinking about (off of the sample rack) and while contemplating between that dress and another dress from a different store, they offered me an additional discount which was so nice - I still cannot believe I got such a great deal on such a beautiful dress. Such a fun, easy, and comfortable experience. 10/10 recommend! -
