Wonderful experience
Gabriella's had my dream dress, and no where else I looked could even come close to what I wanted. In addition, the salon experience was relaxed and fun. I had a few issues and Derek fixed them quickly and easily. -

Wonderful bridal salon!
Working with everyone at Gabriella was a dream. From my first visit, to finding my dress, to alterations, they were fantastic from start to finish. In fact, I would have never picked out the dress I ended up buying if Ashley hadn’t suggested it to me and I absolutely loved it so thank you Ashley! The salon itself is super chic, everyone who works there is patient and kind, and their dress selection is the best of the best - they have a range of options that are all stunning. Their starting price is pretty reasonable for NYC. They delivered my dress for alterations so I wouldn’t have to which was really helpful and I absolutely loved the woman who did my alterations (works with Gabriella). Definitely a must visit when dress shopping! -

The BEST part of wedding planning!
The staff at Gabriella Bridal made the experience special for me. KiKi worked on alterations. She was incredible. This was by far the BEST experience of wedding planning! -

Gabriella's made dress shopping comfortable and fun!
I had such a lovely experience at Gabriella’s! This was my first stop trying on dresses so I had no idea what to expect, but they took what could have been a stressful and overwhelming experience and made it fun, comfortable, and productive. We were greeted by name when we arrived, led to our private room, and quickly introduced to our fantastic stylist Lexi. She asked about my wedding location, preferences, and really listened to me when picking some first dresses to try on (but also adding some surprises to make sure we tried everything). Gabriella’s is an adorable and welcoming boutique environment with a gorgeous, curated selection. I would recommend to anyone in NY or even visiting! -

Beautiful bridal shop and great, personalized service!
Gabriella Bridal Salon is a beautiful little shop right in SoHo. Andie, my dress consultant, was nothing but amazing. This shop was a little on the higher end of the budget for me, but Andie was still able to pull beautiful dresses for me to try. One in particular was the absolute opposite of the style I had described to her, but she encouraged me to try it just to see. I ended up buying the dress! All because of her expertise about what would fit me well and look flattering. I am so happy and pleasantly surprised with the dress I ended up with. We came back a couple days later to make the "final" decision and get fitted, and Andie treated my friends and family that joined to a champagne toast. The shop also has beautiful accessories and veils to choose from. I highly recommend visiting this shop and Andie if you are able to request her! -

Great Customer Service, Gorgeous Dresses!
Working with the team at Gabriellas was a dream. They have an amazing selection of designer dresses and helped me tailor my Jenny Packham specifically to my taste.
Fittings were a breeze! I was always out in under 30 minutes and they made my vision of tightening bell sleeves and removing some of the larger sequins come to life!
It was so nice to go to a salon where they remembered my name and I was constantly working with the same associates. I think I was almost always the only one in the salon. It was heavenly. -

Gabriella was awesome and I loved finding my dress there. After a long day of trying on old and tattered dresses with disinterested sales people at Lovely Bride and Kleinfelds, I was so happy to walk into Gabriella. They had clean gowns, with unique and elegant dresses that I didn’t see at other places. And our helper (who’s name I forget because it was so long ago) was SO sweet, really taking time to get to know me and hear what I was looking for. I found an awesome Kelly Faetenini dress that was perfect for me, and my entire alterations process was clear and easy. I was training for an endurance race right after my wedding so my body changed a lot, even fitting to fitting, and Alzira in alterations was so nice and did whatever she had to in order to make my dress fit tight and well. Everyone always goes to Lovely Bride for chill, elegant (non cupcake) dresses, but Gabriella was 1000% better in dress selection and service. I was a little turned off by the website because it looked a little too “bridal” for me, but the store is charming and modern and very easy going. Must add this if you like Lovely bride, Ramona Keveza, Limor Rosen, etc! -

I had an AMAZING experience with Briana, she was super helpful and attentive to my needs. I love the intimacy of the salon and the selection is superb (and that natural light is everything). I will be honest and say that I ultimately did not end up with this salon because I heard from a friend that the tailor and fitting situation was a disaster. -

If I could give my experience at Gabriella New York more than 5 stars I would! Nicole and Annie were extremely professional, warm, and worked with me to help me find my dream wedding dress! They treated my family and me like old friends making us all feel very comfortable, laughing and crying together . I never felt rushed (I stayed for 3 hours!) and they were never pushy. The selection of gowns is amazing— chic, sophisticated, the best quality, fabulous designers, and of course all gorgeous! The salon itself is very clean, airy, and welcoming. I could Not have asked for a better experience to find my perfect wedding dress! Thank you Nicole and Annie for an unforgettable day! -

Many beautiful gowns to choose from and a relaxed environment in a great neighborhood. Our bridal specialist was McKayla, and she was fantastic! She made the experience fun and easy, and was super responsive and helpful even after my appointment.
Will definitely recommend Gabriela’s and McKayla to future brides! -

I knew I wanted a Jenny Packham wedding dress and Gabriella is listed as one of their preferred retailers. I was extremely nervous about the whole process. Derrick and the staff at Gabriella were both personable and professional. They listened to me describe my dream wedding dress and presented me with a number of beautiful options. I ended up purchasing the second dress I tried on. I just remember thinking - was it supposed to be this easy? The staff coordinated all of my fittings and Kiki did an amazing job fitting/altering all of the extensive beadwork. I felt and looked absolutely amazing on the day of my wedding and was asked multiple times about my dress. Thank you all so much! -

I am absolutely blown away by Gabriella New York! I am not one to make an on the spot decision, I typically need to mull it over so not only did I purchase a stunning Kelly Faetanini gown, but my mother and I had beyond an amazing experience! First and foremost, the minute you walk through the door everyone is incredibly helpful, loving, and supportive. Ashley was my fantastic bridal consultant. I had my heart set on one dress and walked out with a completely different one because she brought one over for me that she thought would look great and it was absolutely stunning and blew me away! She was incredible! The bridal manager was walking around and also loved the dress and was so helpful and friendly. Then Nicole the store Director came over and it felt like she was a part of my Italian Family! She took my measurements and was just beyond lovely! I literally felt like she was my favorite Aunt from Jersey. I am not one to write reviews often, but when I do it is because I want other people to know how amazing something is, and Gabriella New York is that some kind of wonderful and I encourage all Brides to find your perfect gown with them. I’ve tried on so many gowns at so many other places and this by far was the most seamless and non stress filled appointment I have made. I cannot wait for my dress to come in and continuing to work with these incredible women in my bride to be journey. -

Gabriella is a very personal bridal salon. They are very patient when working with clients and have you try on lots of options. They also do the fittings in house and have a seamstress that comes in. When I found my gown, I wanted to change the back. My dress was by a new designer in NYC and they called her up and sent pictures of how I wanted it to look (going from a sheer lace back to criss cross spaghetti straps)--they were so accommodating. I had actually purchased my dress and began fittings when my wedding was called off. Gabriella was so understanding and held on to my dress for about a year! When I got engaged again, the price I had paid previously for my fittings was honored and we started the fitting process again. The people at Gabriella are wonderful to work with and their dress selection is beautiful! -

While I initially saw my dress in another store, I kept hearing how I had to make an appointment at Gabriella. Once I was there, I realized why! It's quiet, peaceful, full of beautiful brands, and the staff is so incredibly nice and not pushy. Erin helped me buy my dress, then later helped me select the most perfect belt. Courtney and Susan, the tailor, were a dream team when it came to alternations and were so committed to helping me achieve the fullness I wanted for my dress. Susan even went out of her way to help me locate a steamer in LA who could come to my hotel to unwrinkle my dress after my flight - even SHE was incredible! From start to finish it was an amazing experience - thank you all! -

Forget Kleinfeld's. Forget Designer Loft... I'm so glad I made my wedding gown purchase at Gabriella's! I made my appointment online for an Anna Maier trunk show and they were prompt in responding to any concerns and questions. I had a wonderful experience with the salon associate, Anna Feruson and Charles (the designer). The Anna Maier dresses felt amazing one after another. As an undecisive bride-to-be, Anna was so helpful, patient, and most importantly, honest!I The appointment ran a little bit over an hour past closing time and I really appreciated her taking the extra time to let me to try on my final choices again. It was also Mother's Day weekend and she had to head home to be with her kids. All other bridal salons strictly enforced the '1-hour' appointment time and it was strictly business whereas this was a really nice one-on-one experience. Gabriella's offered a discount at the trunk show and also had a special of paying half the alterations fee! -

I had heard great things about Gabriella New York from friends so I made an appointment there as soon as I got engaged and booked my venue. I did not expect to find my dress at my first appointment - I ended up not going to any other bridal salons! The salon is warm and intimate and there is a carefully curated selection of designer dresses that manage to be stylish, classic and unique all at once. My consultant Carleen understood exactly what type of dress I was looking for and helped me find my dream gown by an Israeli designer (Flora) that I had never heard of! I tried on a total of 5 dresses and ended up with the very first one that we picked out. I was incredibly lucky that there was a Flora trunk show that weekend - my dress was in the salon for that weekend only and was not available anywhere else in New York! Everything in the salon is beautiful - I also purchased a custom made Sara Gabriel veil and Jenny Packham jeweled headpiece that were the perfect finishing touches to my wedding day look. My seamstress Susan was excellent with the alterations and I totally trusted her judgment. The entire experience was amazing and personalized, definitely the most fun part of the wedding planning! I LOVE this salon!! -

When I first got engaged I immediately started searching for a dress. Gabriella was my first stop since they carried Lihi Hod. The ginger lilly was the first dress I tried on and the one I bought. During my search they helped answer all my questions and never pressured me to buy immediately. I went to multiple other stores and tried on so many dresses but I knew the entire time that nothing would compare to that first dress. Lihi Hod as the shop take 40 measurements all over your body then creates the dress custom to your shape. Natalie took my measurements and when the dress arrived it fit perfectly! I barely needed any alterations, just the bustle and adding in cups. I went in for my three fittings which at the end of the day was not even necessary since it fit so well. I felt so beautiful the day of my wedding. The staff at Gabriella are so professional and knowledgeable. The pricing of the gowns is on the higher side but I think it was worth every penny. -

I found my dream dress at Gabriella and Natalie was wonderful to work with. My dress was not what I had originally envisioned for myself, but Natalie encouraged me to look through the racks and try on whatever caught my eye. I'm so glad I did! I ended up going back for my veil at a trunk show there and got a bracelet for the day of at the same time. Natalie was lovely and walked me and my mom through the delivery and fittings procedure. They have a beautiful selection of dresses! -

This place was amazing. It was the only salon I went to that made the shopping experience low pressure and fun. I was working on a tight deadline and I was pregnant but they made sure that my dress was perfect. This is the only bridal salon I would recommend. -

I went into Gabriella with an idea of what I wanted, and my stylist helped me find amazing choices that fit with that vision! They have a great selection (Legends by Romona Keveza is my absolute favorite - look at her especially if you have a pear-shaped silhouette like me and want to feel like a classy princess) as well. Beautiful store on the LES with very friendly help. I mentioned that there was a dress I liked by Romona that they didn't have (because it is from several year ago), and the stylist told me they could still order it for me! Great, friendly service at a very nice boutique with great selections! -

I have had two incredible shopping experiences here, one when I went with a friend to get her dress and the other when I got mine. I went back in August to try on dresses; I had a vague idea of what I wanted, but had never tried anything on before, and had a budget of about $2k, which many other bridal salons would have considered on the low end. But the girl there found me so many great options in a range of styles.
If you're looking for the big, Say Yes To The Dress style appointment then this isn't the place for you. It has a very relaxed feel which is my kinda vibe. They have a range of designers
If their style matches yours it's such a wonderful experience, and everyone is really friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions, and my dress arrived on time perfectly! -

Gabriella saved the day for my wedding. I had a horrible wedding dress experience at another bridal shop (will remain unnamed because I am a nice person). After purchasing a $7500 dress from the other shop and having them ruin it, I came to Gabriella 3 months before my wedding in a panic. They not only reassured me but got in touch with the designer himself of my dress to express what happened. He did not even charge me a rush to do the dress and I was able to get my fittings done at the designer's shop. I went back to purchase my veil and my headpiece from Gabriella. The girls are the sweetest at the shop and unlike other places, want you to feel gorgeous in the dress that is perfect for you regardless of the price tag. I would recommend them to anyone in NY looking for a personal and caring experience. -

buying a dress from gabriella was a dream come true. the store has nothing but BEAUTIFUL unique dresses. everyone couldn't stop telling me how amazing my dress was- which was what i was going for. SO EASY! Love Kirsten! Had such a great experience finding my PERFECT wedding dress. I felt that she had my interest at heart. Never felt sold to and felt like I was shopping with a good friend. Went to another salon just to make sure I had the right dress and compared with the level or service and quality of dresses at Gabriella's, I walked straight back to purchase my dress from Kirsten. Highly recommended and am sad that I am not planning to get married again and won't be needing another wedding dress! -

I can't say enough good things about the girls at Gabriella New York. I truly had the best experience there out of all the places I went to (and there were quite a few)... It made my WANT to give them my business. I worked with Leah to find my gorgeous dress and Kate when I came in to pick out accessories (I ended up buying my veil there too) and both girls were so fun and supportive. They weren't for a moment pushy and just made the experienced very relaxed. I was so lucky to find my wedding dress at such a warm, friendly, and accommodating store. From the very first moment that I visited Gabriella's, I knew I had discovered a gem. The store is small and inviting, with racks full of beautiful dresses that cover a wide range of styles and budgets.
When I arrived for my first appointment, the girls working at Gabriella's made me and my friends feel right at home. After trying on a number of dresses, I still felt that I hadn't found the right one. I was about to leave when all of a sudden one of the Gabriella girls found a dress on the rack that I had somehow missed. It matched perfectly with what I had been hoping to find, and it ended up being the dress that I would wear on my wedding day. The women at Gabriella's had listened to all of the things I was hoping to find in a dress and because they care about their clients and are passionate about wedding dresses they were able to help me find the right one. I usually don't like to throw around the word "perfect," especially when there is so much pressure on girls to find the perfect everything for their weddings these days, but the dress that I found at Gabriella's was truly perfect in all the ways that I could have hoped for. It was elegant, unique, and extremely well made. On the night of my wedding, I stayed in my dress until 4am because that's just how beautiful and comfortable it was.
During my visits to Gabriella's I mainly worked with Kate & Leah, who were both extremely warm, friendly, and on top of things. When my mom came into the city to help with my first fitting, Leah went out of her way to make my mom feel comfortable (and to calm all of my mom's pre-wedding jitters!). For the fittings, I worked with two alterations specialists, Sarah and Michaell, and they were both extremely skilled and talented. If you're in NYC or the NY area and looking for a wedding dress, definitely go straight to Gabriella's. You will be in good hands! -

I came into Gabriella having truly no idea what I liked... working with Jen, I tried on a variety of dresses and ended up liking one much more than the rest - and it was a color/style that surprised me. I didn't make a decision that day, but couldn't seem to get that dress out of my mind. I came back, Jen had the dress ready to try on again, plus a few new ones, and I was quickly able to make my decision. Gabriella's atmosphere and personnel made this possible - this place is tranquil, professional and no-fuss, but also patient with the potential customer (no hard selling or pushiness here). Jen was a pleasure to work with, and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. -

Everybody at Gabriella's including Gabriella herself were sincerely helpful and accommodating, and not only with me, but with the four people/guests that I was allowed to bring. I did not feel rushed or pressured in any way and loved that my guests and I were able to pick out and try on whatever dresses that I had wanted multiple times times throughout appointment-browsing through all of the racks/dresses with my mother and friends was an amazing experience in a relaxed but professional atmosphere!!!! Although there was not a huge assortment of gowns, there was still enough of a variety with different styles and textures to choose from, most of which were/are posted and shown on main website.
After trying on and not liking any of the lace style gowns that I had originally thought I wanted, Gabriella herself stepped in and hand picked a few dress that she suggested I try which I would have never thought of and were right on!!!.... I ended up purchasing a Legends Romona Keveza gown that I love (not at all the type of dress that I was set out to find but better)!
The gown will be coming in this November and I hope that the fittings and alterations are as enjoyable as my shopping experience! -

Kate and Gabriella's salon was an amazing experience. I started off at Kleinfields which was horrifying and overwhelming and Gabriella's was the exact OPPOSITE of this experience. They understood my budget and showed me beautiful gowns in my range. Kate followed up with a lovely thank you card and when I panicked the next day and wanted to switch dresses, they were unbelievably accommodating. -

No other bridal salon made me feel nearly as comfortable, relaxed, and special as Gabriella's did. This is an intimate place, which was exactly was I was looking for. I couldn't bear the chaos and mass production of the larger places, and really wanted to feel like choosing my wedding dress was a unique and private process. Leah was so personable and knowledgeable. She put me immediately at ease, and was wonderful when I went back with both my mom and my soon to be mother-in-law! I was very torn between two dresses, and she patiently helped me through the evaluation process. I can't wait to go back for my fitting! -

It was 2 months before my wedding and I still had no dress! I was looking for a Claire Pettibone, and I saw on their website that they were holding a trunk show at Gabrielle Bridal. I quickly sent Gabriella's team an email asking if I had enough time to order and have alterations done. Gabriella herself responded assuring me that I had plenty of time, and that if I ended up buying my gown that they would have the alterations rushed for me.
I had been to about 10 other stores looking for my dress. Gabriella's was my second stop that day. After a rather frigid experience in the west village her salon was breath of fresh air. The space itself is sunny and beautiful. The staff is sweet and attentive. Gabriella herself was the one who helped me. She knew I was there for the Claire Pettibone trunk show and after getting me a drink, she introduced me to the line's rep. The two of them helped me pick out a few dresses to try on. The 1st dress was a silk sheath with a cotton vintage lace over lay. It was beautiful! I tried on the other dresses that we pulled but ended up back in the 1st one.
Gabriella was an amazing sales woman. You can tell that she really loves her job. She was honest, genuine and no where near pushy. After about 20 mins I had decided that my dress search was finally over! Gabriella was extremely accommodating. I wanted to add 12" to the train of the dress, which they did for free! I also received a trunk show discount. I did have to pay a rush fee which I was expecting, but they really went above and beyond to keep me reasonably within my budget.
Two weeks after ordering my dress I got a phone call from a member of Gabriella's team. She wanted to make an appointment for me to come in for my first fitting. I was so excited because I thought my dress was in already. It turned out that the dress wasn't there yet, but even more exciting they wanted my first fitting to be photographed for Brides magazine! When I went in for the fitting the Bride's team did my hair and make up. The seamstress (Sarah Jassir) pinned me into my dress and off to the photographer I went! My fitting was featured with 2 other brides in the November Issue in a story about Gabriella's salon.
My dress came out beautifully. Sarah Jassir did an incredible job. I loved it! All of our wedding guests are still talking about the dress and it photographed beautifully. From start to finish my experience with Gabriella was amazing. Their customer service is spot on. After working in customer service for 12+ years myself I was extremely impressed. I've convinced my newly engaged friend that she must go there for her dress next year! I would highly recommend Gabriella's! -

Gabriella's was the only bridal salon I went to - she had a great selection, knew exactly what kind of dress I was looking for, and provided considerate and sincere customer service. The intimate setting was much more ideal for me than the big bridal house scenarios I've seen on television, which appear hectic with unhappy brides! Hands down the best salon in New York. The atmosphere is so different then any other salon I went to. Gabriella and her staff make you feel very relaxed and let you browse and try on at your own pace. The dress selection is the best offered with every dress fitting a different style and personality. When I went to other salons, I felt like I was trying on the same type of dresses and styles over and over again. The dresses at Gabriellas were different then anything I saw and each was better then the one I tried on before. Gabriella New York was a wonderful experience! I purchased my dress through her salon and attended my first fitting there. Gabriella was excellent about answering questions and confirming that my dress would arrive on time.
I was a little surprised that the second and third fittings were in a completely different location with the seamstress, but it was not a problem once we figured out that was their plan. I don't know if that is typical of bridal salons or not.

I arrived to my appointment at Gabriella all out of sorts after being stuck in traffic during a NYC blizzard. The associate was so kind and helped me to calm down - she definitely helped make the situation an enjoyable one. I loved being able to look through their selection and loved that I was able to take photos of gowns that I liked. Many other shops insist on picking gowns for you and don't allow photos. Gabriella Bridal Salon was a wonderful place to purchase my dress and arrange for tailoring. The shop is intimate and not chaotic. Matthew helped me pick out the most gorgeous dress and I ended up getting to meet the designer, Kelly Faetanini, who was such a sweetheart. I had only one hiccup, which was that the original French bustle the in-house seamstress had designed came apart when we did a trial run a few days before the wedding, and the American bustle she created afterwards did not really stand up either - the bridal attendant had to safety pin it up. Everything else was perfect - I felt beautiful on the day of and will treasure the gown forever -

This is your true, full service salon. I had a unique gown shopping experience that started with a special request. In a gist -- the process of finding, photographing, ordering, tailoring, accessorizing, and getting feedback about my gown-- all great at Gabriella. I worked with superstars Matthew, Cody, Kiki, and Melanie.
I began looking for my gown on blogs since I wanted a specific style: tea-length, simple, elegant. Online, I came across a gorgeous gown named "Nymph" by UK designer Jenny Packham-- loved it! It was tricky to get in the US, so I checked out great salons in NYC that specialize in tea-length gowns. Nothing was as airy and dreamy as Nymph. I found this quality common to other gowns that were only available in the UK, where the tea-length is more popular.
Gabriella Bridal is one of a few local salons that carry JP. I spoke with others and they couldn't get me a fitting for Nymph in particular. From my first email to Matthew, he was positive, professional, and helpful. He arranged to get a sample on loan from London. He was also a great advisor about timing -- JP gowns need good lead time, and he was honest about when I had time to shop around and when it was ideal to order.
Also, the Gabriella team was patient-- I was an indecisive bride-to-be! E.g. once I asked to come in between fittings just because I wanted to try on my gown with 4 different pairs of shoes before choosing THE pair. Again, Matthew was super friendly -- he enjoyed checking out the shoes and gave great feedback. No one ever made me feel like I was asking for too much. My seamstress was Kiki with assistant Melanie. They listened to what I wanted and gave great feedback when I asked about alterations that they believed would make it less flattering (i.e where the hem of my dress might fall).
My dress came out gorgeous-- very "old Hollywood," so many compliments received! I only wish I can wear it again...thanks to its airy tea-length style, I might be able to :) -

I didn't end up buying my dress at Gabriella but NEED to review them for their excellent service and professionalism. This is a high end boutique so please keep that in mind before making an appointment-you might find something and fall in love with it before realizing that you've just had your heart broken by the price tag. That said, Gabriella does not pad their prices. They are extremely reasonable for the product they are supplying (it's just that the product is usually hand-made overseas!). The service is fantastic and they do a great job putting together looks. They are considerate of your preferred method of communication. They are interactive and make you feel comfortable enough to enjoy the process alongside others. They are exceptional listeners whom are open to you browsing the racks on your own as well as providing samples for you to try on. If you have the money, I recommend this salon hands-down. -

I had a great experience with this store -- particularly with my sales person Audrey. She was patient and genuinely seemed to care. I went to several other stores before this one and this store had all of the dresses that I liked from the others. I think the selection is nicely curated and they were very accommodating which made scheduling easy. They also gave me the trunk show pricing even though I had just missed the designer's show. Gabriella is THE store for stylish NYC brides that want to wear something a little more unique and different from "typical" wedding dresses, and prefer an intimate, relaxing shopping experience. The store is a stylish Soho loft and the selection of dresses is very well-curated and manageable - the opposite of the larger factory-like bridal stores with impersonal and pushy service. Even though I didn't end up buying a dress here, I cannot recommend this store highly enough. Of note is that prices start around $3500 and go way up from there - proceed with caution if you're on a tight budget. -

I ended up getting the first dress I tried on at the first salon I went to which was Gabriella's. This was not a coincidence. The stylists at Gabriella's listened to the ideas I had and the look I wanted and picked out the perfect dress. I love this bridal salon, everything they have is beautiful and when you come in here they treat you like you're the only client they have. I also cannot say enough about their seamstress Susan and their entire alterations department. My dress was mostly illusion lace and was very delicate and difficult to alter but Susan and her team did it with true expertise and it was perfect!
I do think it's important to know before going in that Gabriella's carries high end designers and dresses start at $3,500-4,000 here. I didn't realize that before I went in, happened to find my dream dress and ended up spending far more than I budgeted for the dress. In the end it didn't matter because it was exactly what I wanted and was perfect, but it is good to set expectations before you go! -

I worked with two amazing consultants at this bridal salon! They were so helpful and not pushy at all. I went back three times before I found "the dress", and they were so polite and accommodating every time. I also bought my accessories through them :). -

We picked Gabriella because it was the only salon I was interested in going to that was open on Father's Day. We planned our wedding in under 6 months, so we were in a bit of a time crunch and Father's Day was the only time my sister and mother could both make it. I was very nervous about picking a wedding gown, but Matthew really helped to put me at ease and find the perfect gown. I tried on 12, but we all knew the 2nd one would be it. I felt very comfortable at the salon, which is beautiful. Matthew measured me so perfectly that I didn't need any other adjustments to my dress other then the hem and bustle. This was good because scheduling fittings was a bit annoying. They didn't have a consistent person for me to deal with for scheduling, and it was difficult for them to work around my work schedule. I wish I had just gone directly to the tailor, who was AWESOME. He ended up bringing me to his new location on my final fitting (the evening before my wedding) so he could sew in the bustle. He was so great he even fixed my bridesmaid's (who was there with me) dress too. If you need tailoring you should use Alteration Specialists of NY. He held our dresses over night and they were ready and perfect first thing in the morning to be picked up. The folks at Gabriella are very professional and nice, it just would've been nice if one person was dedicated to my account. -

This is a beautiful bridal salon in the heart of SoHo NYC. After going to at least 6 other salons this was ultimately my final choice and I couldn't be happier. Matthew (my consultant) is unbelievably awesome and was there through the whole process (trying, purchasing, fittings, and the final pick up). He is tons of fun, makes you feel totally at ease, and never once pressured me to buy something. You can tell the whole staff at Gabriella genuinely enjoys their job and makes every bride who walks through the door feel special.
The space itself is a beautiful open loft so if you are looking for a more private experience this may not be right for you. There is tons of natural light (which was great for me since I was getting married outside) and they have a ton of inventory from multiple designers (including a few lesser known which was nice since I didn't want something a million other brides had).
After I purchased the dress they kept me up to date on it's arrival and timing so I was never worried about getting it in time. Then they went through as many fittings as I needed to make it perfect and even added accessories that I purchased on my own to the dress. The seamstress was fantastic and my dress fit like a glove on my wedding day!

When I arrived, Kate, my consultant, greeted me warmly and showed me to a small but very well set up dressing room with seating. She asked me about my budget, my venue and the style I was looking for and steered me towards a few choices in my price range. All the dresses she picked fit the style I thought I wanted and also seemed to go with the venue, and respected the price point. They have limited options for my price point since it was at the lowest end of their range, but I was optimistic...until none of the dresses looked quite right. Just as I was giving up, Kate had a stroke of brilliance and came running back with a dress. She plopped it in the room and announced, "I think this is your dress". They even offered me a discount because the dress was slightly over my budget and they wanted to help me be able to actually get the right dress. They spent forever going over measurements, checking and rechecking and helping me really understand how alterations will and will not affect the dress.
Gabriella's might not have the best selection for a budget-concious bride, but they will go above and beyond to help a bride with some wiggle room find her perfect style. I'm thrilled to have bought my dress here and would send anyone with a decent budget (over at least $2500) here for a wedding dress. -

the space isn't the most upscale and their selection is small, as expected. but since i found my perfect wedding dress here, i would recommend others go as well since you just never know where you'll find The One. the staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is very down to earth, not pushy or pretentious as some of the other high end bridal salons (think neiman or bergdorf). i would def recommend this be on the list of places brides check out. -

Gabriella is a high end bridal salon. I didn't realize what I was getting myself into when I went in there. There are not many wedding gowns to choose from, but somehow I found "the One" there. I don't like having the same thing everyone else has, and the good thing about Gabriella is that what they have is very unique and exclusive to their salon. I do like that they treat you one on one while you are there and are very nice. I can't say that I had the best of service out of all the salons I had been to but it is definitely one of the best. The girl that helped us was helpful but after trying on several dresses she stopped paying much attention and began to do other things. It made us feel like she didn't think we were going to buy anything and so we didn't deserve top notch service. I was a bit disappointed, especially for how expensive all of their gowns were. Once I decided to purchase it, however, her attitude became top notch. I understand why she would be this way, but it did make me feel undervalued. Either way, my dress arrived with no problem and on time. Calls were answered with the best service by the owner. She seems great. The gown was very high quality, of course. I can't say that I will rave about this place to my friends, but I won't not recommend it because my experience was just fine. I wish I could have had the time of my life there since I did spend most of my budget there. -

Easy alterations + buying experience
I'm writing this review solely to ease the fears of people reading some of their older alterations reviews. Both Derek (alterations mgr) + Alzira (their outsourced alterations person) get 5 stars. That process was smooth and easy, it's my understanding they used to have a different person (hence some of the much older bad alterations reviews). This concerned me a lot when buying a dress here, and it was a totally unnecessary & unwarranted stress.
I ended up at Gabriella's because I was obsessed with Flora Bridal and they are one of two boutiques to carry the brand in NY. My process was super simple and the male salesperson who helped me (Chris - no longer there), was fantastic. Post that process, I worked with Derek (Alterations Mgr) very closely through the end of my buying/altering process, and he was sweet and fantastic. Alzira, the alterations woman was also super easy, and knew how to make small changes to make the dress fit better without compromising any beading, lace etc.
The one thing I would note about the salon is that I never found it, other than the people I was working with particularly warm. The store director and staff never acknowledged me or my family all 5 times I was there, which I found odd given we were at a high-end boutique dropping serious cash on a dress. I don't like attention, but this was underwhelming I think particularly for my mom - so just something to note if you're really looking for a big celebratory experience each time you interact with them (Derek + Alzira however very much did!). -

My shopping experience at Gabriella was extremely pleasant. I worked with Carleen, who was so friendly and worked with me to find the perfect Angel Sanchez dress. The store is so beautiful and calm, especially when compared to the madhouse that is Kleinfeld's. I had been to 4 other salons and this was by far the most pleasant shopping experience. The store is a bright SoHo loft and the dresses are primarily unique from a few designers, not the tacky cupcakey dresses you see at so many other salons.
However, like many other reviewers my experience with alterations was not great. First, my measurements were taken and I was told that I would get a size 12 dress. I thought it was odd because I wear a street size 4-6, but thought maybe the designer ran small. Then, I got an email saying that I would actually need a size 10 dress instead. When the dress finally came in, it was a size... 12. Needless to say, they had to take the dress in at least 1-2 inches on each side and completely rework the pattern.
I had 3 fitting appointments and they were running behind schedule on 2 of them. They only do fittings on Wednesdays and often get booked a month in advance, so I had to take PTO all 3 times to make afternoon appointments. On multiple occasions, Kiki, the in-house woman who seems to do all of the alterations, asked if I lost weight since the dress was too big. I hadn't lost any weight so I didn't like that she seemed to be making excuses. During one fitting, they misplaced my bridal sash. On the final fitting, the dress was a little big but I was told that steaming it would make it lay flatter. Upon picking the dress up after steaming, my mother in law told me that it was still too big and I ended up getting about another inch taken in the day before the wedding. After all of the alterations, I paid the flat fee.
I would recommend Gabriella for shopping, but go elsewhere for alterations. -

Everyone at Gabriella's was helpful when we visited them in New York. They gave your their full attention for as long as you required. We had a few hitches with passing on my desires to some 3rd party vendors, which cost me a few extra trips, but their partners are also very good, so it was resolved. -

The dress I found at Gabriella was the dress of my dreams. It was so perfect. The service when I was shopping for dresses was fantastic; they were attentive and great to work with. They listened to what I was looking for and gave great recommendations.
After purchasing the dress, they seemed to want to have nothing to do with me, however. I had all of my fittings scheduled with the designer so I didn't have much of a need to go to the boutique until it was time to pick up my dress and veil. Before my fittings, I wanted to schedule a time to come in and try the dress back on to test undergarments so I was prepared for my fittings. I went through the booking tool and reserved a time. When they called to confirm and I explained what my appointment was for, they were not pleased and said that was very uncommon. I was able to negotiate with them and explain that I needed to see the dress again to test undergarments, given that my dress was made to measure. I felt very unwelcome at that undergarment testing fitting.
My final experience was picking up my finished dress. As I mentioned, it was a made to measure dress so I never got to see the finalized product until picking it up. I picked up the dress 1 week before the wedding date and of course wanted to try on the finished dress to ensure I didn't need to contact the designer for any last minute tweaks. They fought with me, stating they never allow you to try on final dresses without a seamstress in-house. Eventually they let me open the dress and try it on but it was a process to get them to do this.
For the amount we spent on the dress and for the great reputation of the salon, I expected better service. I would only recommended this vendor because of the quality of designers they have at the salon. -

I was very disappointed with the quality of service that I received. My dress was ordered with the wrong lace detail and, as I was on a tight timeline, I didn't have time to have it fixed and just had to live with it. My dress was also ordered in a larger size than it should have been, based on my measurements having been taken incorrectly, which meant that I ended up needing to spend more on alterations than should have been the case. While they have a beautiful selection I would be very cautious about buying a dress here. -

I ordered my wedding gown from Gabriella New York. The salon carries newer designers whose designs are not as expensive as in regular salons. The space itself is a calm and relaxing environment. I ordered a beautiful gown from Matthew Christopher which was well received by all my guests and family. The salon took care of making sure the gown fits well. They were flexible and accommodating with scheduling fittings. But I guess it all ends there. When I purchased my gown, we agreed on including the alterations in the purchase price. I retained a copy of my invoice (as what every bride should do). On May 23rd, 09, two days after my wedding, I received an email from Gabriella attaching another invoice for $541.88 for alterations and that they will charge my credit card on file. I responded that same day explaining that the alterations were already included in my original invoice. I never heard back from them. True enough, I saw the charge on my statement. I emailed them again on May 28th asking them to call me, hoping to straighten things out, but again, no response. I emailed for the third time on June 19th, and I still haven't received an email or phone call back. I came in about 5 times for fittings and not ONCE did Gabriella nor her staff inform me of this alterations charge or anything related to that matter.
This is a great place to find a beautiful and reasonable gown in a relaxing space, but be careful about this "SURPRISE" charge - and don't expect to hear back from them once they get your money.

I bought my dress at Gabriella and thought the selection was well chosen and my bridal consultant was wonderful. She really listened to me and provided be with skilled service. The dresses are pricey and beautiful.
However after I brought my dress the service became appalling. They say they cap alterations at $800, which is what they billed me for. I was surprised as I only needed hemming and slight details and had 2 fittings (they do business with Slate, by the way). When I asked for the itemized receipt they billed me for something I decided not to do on my 2nd fitting ( add a trim) and charged me insane prices for simple things: $50 for 2 lingerie snaps (my mom paid $6 at our local tailor to have this done) and $200 for pressing and packing, something normally done as a complimentary gesture for your service. It seemed like they padded my bill to get it up to $800. When I fronted them, they were slow to charge me for the service I actually did get, and required me to send a few emails of complaint. What was really disappointing about all this was that I spent nearly $5,000 on a dress, and felt like I was nickel and dimed.
I work in the service industry and when someone spends a lot of money on a nice dinner, I usually pick up dessert.
My advice: buy your dress here and take it elsewhere for alterations. -

I bought my Romona Keveza lace dress here and had quite possibly the worst dress fitting/alterations experience possible.
At the second fitting (when you are supposed to see all the major alterations done from the first fitting), my dress was not at the store. First I was told the seamstress forgot the dress at home... then I was told she lived too far away to retrieve it that day.... then I was told the alterations "weren't quite done".... and then I was told she hadn't done a single thing on the dress and that's why it wasn't at the store.
Then came 5 more fittings with sloppy alterations work, 2 different seamstresses, several different salespeople, the wrong veil ordered, the incorrect length of belt ordered, and pushback from management that I "left satisfied" and therefore they would not be refunding my money. The only reason I left the store was because it was 24 hours before I was leaving for my wedding.
From researching other reviews, now I see that I'm one of many brides who found that after you buy the dress, the customer service and alterations go downhill very quickly. If I had it to do over, I would not purchase from Gabriella. -

My daughter purchased a wedding gown from Gabriella. Things went well, at first. The seamstress they used for alterations snagged the skirt and left fingerprints on the skirt. Rather than be honest and admit what they had done, they shipped the dress to us, totally damaged. Imagine our horror upon opening the used dirty box they packed it in....BY THE WAY, we paid an additional $150.00 for packing and shipping. We assumed that care and a New CLEAN BOX would be used....WRONG. My daughter had to take off from work to get the dress repaired. The skirt was eventually completely removed and remade by severl NY seamstresses...they ciuldn't seem to find one to see the job thru. So we now have a patched up dress that we paid designer prices for. ALSO..the owner of the salon was totally unavailable to us at all times, until after the wedding when we launched complaints against her, that are still pending. When we asked for her on the phone we were told she was unavailable or not in the shop. AND she never returned any of our mesages that we left. The final straw was that we were told that the dress would be ready the morning of my daughter's weddding AND THAT WE HAD TO PICK IT UP. We finally were able to get it the day before...can you imagine...we ordered everyting on time...did everything we were supposed to and this is how this unprofessional salon hndled things. There are enough bridal salons in New York....don't subject yourself to the incompetnt staff and dishonorable tactics of selling a damaged dress. -

My daughter wanted a Jenny Packham gown and salons in NJ do not carry that designer. We knew to order way in advance to avoid any problems. The gown was ordered in March 2013 for a June 2014 wedding. The dress was delivered to my house a week before Christmas 2013. My daughter couldn't wait to try it on and that is when we discovered to our horror that it was ordered in the wrong size. Much emailing and calling and we were finally told a new dress would be ordered and it would arrive in March. We were skeptical since the first dress took 9 months. March comes and goes and no dress. More emails and calls, more promises. The dress finally arrives in April. The alterations were a nightmare. The second fitting nothing was done to the dress except for the cups to be sewn in backwards. The final fitting before the wedding the seamstress was no where to be found along with the dress. We had to make another trip into the city a week before the wedding. All of this made what should have been a wonderful time for my daughter an extremely stressful one. In additon to all the problems the salon held a contest on Instagram and told my daughter she won a sketch of herself in her dress. We never received it even after inquiring about it several times. Once you buy the dress the customer service, which is sketchy to begin with, is nonexistent. No one greets you when you enter the salon and we certainly were never offered any wine, just alot of excuses! -
