Thank you Pastor Bob!
We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant than Pastor Bob for our wedding. From the moment the ceremony began, he created such a calm and comfortable atmosphere that completely took away any nerves. He was incredibly organized and made sure everyone knew exactly where to be and what to do, which made everything run seamlessly.
What really stood out was how he incorporated such unique and meaningful moments into the ceremony. This made the ceremony feel so personal and special to us, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful and memorable it was. We also did premarital counseling with Pastor Bob and we loved it! He does a wonderful job promoting discussion for all topics from funny, light hearted to more serious, meaningful ones . Overall, We are so grateful for the role he played throughout our engagment and making our wedding day perfect! -

Don’t look anywhere else!!!
Pastor Bob was EXCEPTIONAL during our ceremony and our premarital counseling. From the beginning, he made sure that our ceremony was personal, meaningful to us, and we had a lot of fun in the process. His exceptional attitude and quickwitted humor stole the hearts of our family and friends. Seriously, don’t consider anyone else except Pastor Bob! You will not be disappointed. If you are also considering doing premarital counseling with Pastor Bob, it is a gift to yourself! We had so much fun. We had the pleasure of having Pastor Bob Hovey from First Coast Ceremonies officiate our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier! Bob is a tall, gentle soul, with a warmth that made us feel completely at ease. From our initial meeting with his wonderful wife to the final ceremony, he was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our wishes, and details. We had multiple planning sessions, and Bob gave great input on how the ceremony would unfold, from the readings to the overall tone. He even consulted us on his attire, making sure it matched our vision, whether we wanted it more formal or religious.
During the rehearsal and the wedding day, Bob struck the perfect balance between a heartfelt, solemn tone and light-hearted moments that kept everyone comfortable and engaged. Our guests absolutely loved him, and we received so many compliments about how meaningful and beautiful the ceremony was.

My husband and I wanted an intimate elopement on the beach. We are simple but spiritual people and we were hoping for something that fit our personality - Bob is amazing. As a pastor and as a “person who’ll be there when you get married” - Bob is warm, kind and experienced. He coached us over the phone even though our ceremony was short and we had no guests, he took the time to learn about us and our kids. He took all the nerves out of it, and made an elopement (bride, groom and Pastor Bob) feel totally perfect and natural. He even took iPhone pictures for us. Bob would be a friend if we lived closer! Cannot recommend more highly, we are so grateful he was part of our day! -

Pastor Bob was the PERFECT addition to our big day. He came highly recommended and we quickly learned why. He is very warm, friendly, kind, and experienced. Pastor Bob even gave us pro tips on how to nail our kiss at the end of the aisle and it’s now my favorite wedding photo of all! Pastor Bob is more than amazing in every category! From the very first time we spoke, he was very helpful and flexible. He created a unique ceremony for us and it was absolutely beautiful! I could not recommend Pastor Bob enough! From the very beginning he was so responsive and easy to communicate with. We did the premarital counseling (highly recommend!) and it gave us a great opportunity to get to know him, and for him to get to know us as a couple. Best Pastor Ever!
If you are looking for a wedding officiant, Pastor Bob is the guy. We were so blessed to have found someone so genuine and kind hearted to perform our ceremony. We signed up for his premarital counseling which was a wonderful experience. Not only did we enjoy getting to know Pastor Bob we also became closer as a couple. He also took us out on his boat (something he offers for free with the premarital counseling) which was a blast. Pastor Bob is truly one of a kind. His approach to the ceremony and unique perspective allowed us to have the absolutely perfect ceremony that was special for just us. Pastor Bob is an Allstar!!
I do not have enough great things to say about Pastor Bob, and neither do my guests! He gave a very personal and intimate ceremony that was full of love and laughs. He knew how to engage our guests and cater the ceremony just for me and my husband. He even stayed for the reception to give a blessing before we ate, which everyone loved. He is incredibly personable and full of great stories. Each of my guests that spoke with him came away proclaiming what an awesome guy Pastor Bob is!
Throughout the whole process, Pastor Bob was responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I elected to do pre-marital counseling with him, which I highly recommend. It was a good way for Pastor Bob to get to know us, as well as for my husband and I to reaffirm the love we have for one another. Since we live in PA, and Pastor Bob is down in FL, he was flexible enough to work with us virtually throughout the process.

From our first conversation, we were confident that Pastor Bob was the right officiant for our small destination wedding on the beach in Amelia Island. It was important for us as Christians to have a spiritual ceremony and he understood exactly what we wanted. He helped us plan and provided sample ceremonies and suggestions. From the first moment you speak to Bob you know you’ve made the right choice in an officiant! His energy and relaxed demeanor made it easy to converse. My husband and I were so excited we couldn’t wait to meet him. In person he is nothing less than awesome. He blended in so well with our family and friends you would think he was a friend for years. Everyone just raved about how exceptional he was, the humor, friendliness and professionalism was spot on!
I thought I was going to be a bag of nerves and break down in tears (of joy lol) saying my vowels but Bob kept the entire ceremony ease free, light hearted and memorable. We even have a little prank we wanted to pull on the family with our ring bearers and Bob helped pull it off 😂 it was great.
Bob doesn’t just show up and officiate your wedding- he truly loves what he does and it shows in his work. We were so blessed to have such an amazing soul unify our ceremony.

We have nothing but good things to say about Bob Hovey and First Coast Ceremonies! Because we were coming from out of town to get married on Amelia Island, we did not know any ministers in the area. It was very important to both of us to select someone who shared our Christian values, so I researched many, many officiants and ministers. When I looked at Bob’s website and watched video clips of weddings he had performed, I knew immediately that he was going to be a good match for us and prayed that he would be available! He is wonderful! He has the most outgoing personality and he brought much laughter and joy to our wedding day! He is also very professional and it is obvious that he is very experienced in conducting weddings. He first met with us over Zoom and we talked about our vision for the wedding. He then sent us two different versions of wedding ceremonies and asked us to look over those and use them to write our own ceremony, which we did. On the day of our beach wedding, it rained off and on throughout the day. Bob had told me previously that he was setting aside the whole day just for us, and would be available to come earlier or later if we needed to because of rain. I texted him during the early afternoon and asked if he could come earlier than we had planned, which he was glad to do! We really appreciated his flexibility! Before the wedding, Bob went over every detail of the ceremony, which was so helpful. The actual ceremony was just beautiful. We believe that a wedding should be a sacred time before God. Bob took the scriptures we had chosen and incorporated them into his message. He did a wonderful job of explaining God’s plan for marriage. But his sense of humor and his lightheartedness gave our wedding a special touch! He even snapped some pictures for us on his cell phone after the wedding, which was so nice. Our whole family really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Bob! If you are looking for a wonderful minister to perform your wedding, look no farther! Bob is fantastic and you will not find anyone better! -

Amazing Officiant!! Your Ceremony Will be Beautiful!
Pastor Bob was such an amazing officiant to work with. He responds quickly and made the whole process seamless. We spoke with several other officiants and he really stood out above the rest. He has such charisma and personality that you feel like you aren't meeting for the first time. We even had several of our friends ask how long we've known him, because he did such a great job making it feel personal. I really like how he sent us two different options after talking to us and we could cut and paste and blend the two to make our draft. Although we didn't take advantage of these services he will also help you write your own vows, offers counseling, and even will take you on his boat if you live in the area!
During our wedding our flower pedestal behind us fell over and he did a great job tying it in to the ceremony which made everyone laugh. I feel like that happening just made it even more perfect. Honestly I can't say anything else besides he did a brilliant job. Hire him. You will not be disappointed! Thanks again Pastor Bob!!

Bob is amazing! He is animated and truly cares about people and it shows. We had a multi-cultural ceremony and Bob handled both the persian portion as well as the american portion. Bob Hovey was a wonderful officiant for our wedding! Amidst rescheduling with Covid-19 and other adjustments, Bob was flexible and supportive the entire time. He allowed my husband and I to make our ceremony our own and provided several different versions of what the ceremony flow could be. We hired Pastor Bob to be our wedding officiant for our July 2020 wedding. My husband and I were nervous about who we could trust for the most important job of the event - getting us married! But Pastor Bob was recommended to us through our wedding coordinator and I am so glad that he was! God is a big part of our lives but with being new to town and not having a church family established, we had no pastor who knew us enough to marry us. Pastor Bob was recommended and the rest was history! He got back to my email right away and always responded in a timely manner. In order to get to know us better - he offered us a free boat ride with him on his boat! (HOW FUN!!) This was the perfect opportunity for us to get to know him and him to learn more about us before he married us. He came to our rehearsal and ran it smoothly with his guidance! He even came to our rehearsal dinner to spend more time with us before the big day. The day of the event, he was on time and read the most amazing message before we said our vows. While he was presenting he was loud, and clear and delivered the most perfect message. Pastor Bob wasn't just an officiant - he became a close family friend. We are so lucky to have found him! Finding Pastor Bob to officiate our wedding, which we planned in just 2 months, was one of the BEST wedding-planning decisions we made!
We worried about not having enough time to foster a relationship with our officiant so that they could deliver a ceremony that truly reflected us as a couple - however Pastor Bob delivered above and beyond in his services and in his thoughtful interactions with us. His charisma, insight, and warm words made our ceremony so special and all of our family members appreciated his message to us as newlyweds.

We had a destination wedding in Jacksonville, so we weren’t able to meet Pastor Bob before rehearsal dinner. We had one interview over the phone and then discussed the ceremony. My husband and I are not originally from Jacksonville, Florida. With that being said, it was a challenge for us to find a pastor available in a short period of time. My wedding was August 25,2019. My coordinator recommended Pastor Hovey. He texted me immediately and set up a time for us to meet. From the very beginning his spirit was jolly, he was professional, and very accommodating. His attitude was always positive from the reception to our wedding day. As a pastor for my wedding his sermon was heart felt and relatable to the variety of personas at the actual ceremony. His price is reasonable and if I could give him a 10 across the board I would! I’d definitely recommend this pastor and we liked him so much that we are planning to visit his church. Pastor Bob was absolutely amazing for so many reasons. We met him through online and met him in person multiple times to discuss life, love, relationships, and his background. He really is an awesome human being and so down to earth that it makes the ceremony flow so smoothly. We did pre-martial counseling with him twice before the actual wedding day which I highly recommend. We also received a military discount, which was helpful! He did an amazing job and even attended our wedding shower and rehearsal dinner so our families were close with him before the wedding day. It was perfect. Highly recommend! -

Pastor Bob was awesome! He came up to GA for our events and was very flexible, accommodating, personable and fun. He officiated our wedding flawlessly on a Friday night and even took amazing pics!!
The following day he professionally conducted a memorial service for my brother that helped my family through a tough swing of emotions.

We truly enjoyed Pastor Bob from the moment we met him until the end of our special night! He took the time to get to know us and communicated with us often, which is key during the wedding process. He was very flexible and let us customize our ceremony to make it just how we imagined! On top of everything else he had some great suggestions for the ceremony and helped put us at ease during the rehearsal and lead up to the ceremony. He was very professional and he has a kind heart and big smile! Even our wedding guests loved him!

Pastor Bob responded swiftly to my urgent need for an officiant. My husband and I are dual military and in 2015 my deployment was extended and I made it home 7 days before my wedding. Our pastor fell through last minute and I am so glad they did, because we had a fairy tale beach ceremony with Pastor Bob!
