  Rachel was the florist for my wedding ceremony and reception at Woodmark Hotel. We did a lot of research of florists design (about 10 to 15 from WeddingWire and The Knot and reviewed the portfolio from each one). Rachel was the only one that we found suitable for our tastes (with an organic and elegant design). The price is considerably higher (about 2 times more) than the other florists that we talked to but wedding is once in a life time event (and it was worth it in retrospect!)
  
  Rachel is extremely thoughtful and organized from the beginning to the end. It was simple to work with Rachel because she has good tastes and we pretty much had a lot of confidence to let her run with her designs. We filled out a questionnaire about our wedding. Rachel designed the flowers and tables linens and gave us lots of good ideas to choose from.
  
  We would recommend Rachel for those who would like a top class florist in Seattle.

  We used Rachel Bowes of Finch and Thistle Event Design for our daughter’s wedding. She was our wedding coordinator as well as our wedding designer responsible for flowers and the overall theme. Rachel was exceptional in every way! The décor was beautifully done and set the tone of understated elegance my daughter had requested. Most important to us was her expertise in planning and execution of our entire wedding. Rachel’s calm professionalism, knowledge and contact with vendors, plus her ability to brainstorm solutions to unexpected problems that arose, attention to detail and upbeat attitude was exemplary. We recommend her highly!!

  As someone who has experience working as a wedding florist, I know quality and value when I see it, and Finch & Thistle is all that and more. I was a bridesmaid in a lovely but rather demanding wedding, and she handled every curve thrown at her with fantastic customer service and poise. The flowers were breath-taking and completely elevated the entire event. I highly recommend Finch & Thistle to any and all, because you'll be glad you worked with her!

  From day one, Rachel's professionalism and responsiveness were truly exceptional. She helped me create a vision for my wedding that I would have never been able to accomplish by myself. She listened carefully to what I had envisioned for our wedding, and brought it to life more beautifully than I could have imagined. She was an absolutely joy to work with. I would highly recommend her if you want your wedding to be truly a spectacular event!

  Rachel at Finch & Thistle Event Design made my wedding "over-the-top" beautiful!!! She was a pleasure to work with; extremely professional, and exceptionally detail oriented (as you would want your florist to be!). I had tons of questions and design inquiries beforehand regarding my flowers, sweetheart table backdrop, and centerpieces. I appreciated that she always wrote back in a timely manner and addressed everything (even when she was busy!) with input, ideas, and suggestions which truly made me feel at ease. To boot, she took the time to drive all the way to the venue (Laurel Creek Manor) from Seattle to help and provide her input at the venue meeting. Rachel's experience, website portfolio, and professionalism really helped me to feel confident that I was getting what I've envisioned for my wedding! She was easy to work with and VERY generous with the amount of flowers & accessories used for the wedding! The quality of all the flowers were superb! I had specific requests including props and vases that I wanted and she went of her way to find them for me! On the day of our wedding, my husband and I were just in awe with how everything turned out...All of the details from the ceremony arbor, centerpiece vases, ribbons, lace, design placement, and all the flowers for the wedding party...everything was "fine-tuned!" I didn't have flowers ordered for the father of the groom or the mother of the bride but Rachel made accommodations to have a boutonniere and corsage ready for them without me even asking! I wanted to commission her for more work, but my budget was set, and so I chose a few pivotal items that I wanted to be perfect and Rachel knocked the ball out of the park. Even though I didn't have a massive budget, she added such elegance to everything she touched, and that made all the difference. All of guests noticed the beautiful details she added and they popped in all of the photos. There were delicate flower vases (hanging behind us at the ceremony) that she filled at the base with moss, the boutonnieres were displayed in a wooden box atop a beautiful layer of moss, the cake flowers cascaded dramatically down the front of the cake and were a focal point at the reception tent... and of course the bridal party bouquets were a stunning mix of my colors that improved every photo they appeared in. Rachel excels at arranging flowers, and decoration; she will make your wedding absolutely GORGEOUS and unique; if anything I wish I had more money to hire her as my full-time decoration coordinator at the wedding!

  Rachel at Finch and Thistle Event Design is a rare find!! I cannot recommend her enough. I am quite particular because I was once a corporate event planner myself, and I only wanted to deal with the BEST. Rachel is the BEST. She went above and beyond in every area, and is very well connected in our city. She knows who the best people are to call for anything you'll ever need. She has an innate talent to recognize and fill in any missing details at all stages in the event planning. She is a true professional, and a lovely person to work with. She made my 50th birthday party one of the most memorable, joyous days of my life!!

Once you provide Finch and Thistle an idea of your vision, she will make it come to life in a way that is far more gorgeous than you could have even imagined. I don't know when I will need a florist next, but she is certainly the one I will call!   I absolutely loved working with Rachel! I honestly was a little nervous at first that she would be out of my price range....solely based on her amazing website! I decided to meet with her anyway and instantly fell in love! Not only was she extremely flexible with my budget, it was like having a meeting with a good friend! Throughout the whole year she sent me various ideas and I was able to bounce things off her as well... even down to the guys ties and making sure they would work with everything!

The table centerpieces at our downtown Seattle wedding were gorgeous and my bouquet was sweet and romantic.
  
  Being a Type A personality it was tough to let go and not control every element of the flowers, but letting Rachel run with her inspirations was one of the best decisions I made.

Finch and Thistle Event Design did our florals, event design, and most importantly carried out my eclectic beach/vintage/travel themed imagination of a wedding and turned it into something magical. Not only was she able to help me pull together a wedding fit for Stylemepretty but she did it all with a beautiful smile and within our budget.
  
  I was nervous having done a lot of the prep for the wedding myself....I didn't know how or if it would all come together.....so I tried to keep my expectations in perspective. Yet the day of our wedding everything was taken care of and came together so perfectly, I had not one worry-- and much of that was thanks to Rachel. Many described our wedding as the most beautiful and unique they had ever seen, and my favorite comment was from someone who said that the reception room simply looked like: love.

  I absolutely loved working with Rachel. She's an incredibly creative and artistic designer and so fun to work with to boot. I had a general idea of what I wanted from photos and Rachel was able to create a more beautiful vision than I had even seen in magazines. AND I felt like she really stretched our budget also by getting creative with the other decor.

  Finch and Thistle did the flowers for our wedding, and we could not have been happier. Rachel is great to work with and so creative - I don't know where she gets all these amazing ideas, but she has a real talent for design and helped turn our dance hall venue into a really beautiful reception space.

  Rachel was very organised and helped me by asking all the right questions. Her questions kept me on track, as well as shedding light on areas where I needed to think through my ideas and logistics. She was also really helpful because she pointed out when ideas weren't consistent, or weren't very good value for money.
  
  On the day of the wedding, Rachel was at the venue early and she worked through the timeline that we'd crafted together for weeks leading up to the wedding.
